20th Anniversary Gift for The Sims 2 from The Sims Console and The Sims Bustin' Out

Happy 20th anniversary to The Sims 2! I absolutely love The Sims 2 and how this game was treated. Every platform for it provides different, unique gameplay and lore. Out of all the PC versions, this is the one I tend to gravitate towards. There's just something about it. So here's a gift to celebrate it! This gift consists of 9 conversions (+ an extra of the Torchemada Wall Torch to include a flipped version) from The Sims console and The Sims Bustin' Out. This was heavily inspired by the master bedroom at the Goth Manor location, also in spirit of Halloween coming up! Please let me know if there’s any issues!

I recreated a few Base Game Sims on the console.

I made this two weeks ago, only remembered to take a picture of this now. *coughs* a few days ago. I re-created several pre-created Sims I love on console and followed all their facial and clothing structures line by line on my computer. A few patterns didn't exist on console, so I had to use something similar and the console didn't have an advanced coloring wheel as the computer version. Only a color bar and you could only move the bars by heart including the dark/light version etc. which usually wouldn't look that much alike as on computer, so it's not that perfect. I mean, I didn't expect it to be perfect, but it could be closer? It actually would look 1:1, if the console had at least the color code.

Anyways, check how well they resemble each other. I don't need to tell you, which one is on the computer and which isn't. It's obvious 😂

Oh yeah, I kinda struggled with the skin colors, cause I felt most of the times it's the wrong one, but I was on the right line 🤡

To avoid scrolling issues, I've put it under the rug.

Here I got the Alto clan + Bert Alto from Hidden Springs. I don't remember Holly's facial details, but the make-up parts she uses are kinda invisible.

They're really spot on.

Bruh the Langerak's. Oh I used the emergency-saved Iliana instead of the finished version 🤦‍♀️ Iliana actually looked good. The details of her blouse just looked bigger than in the original. Zelda's face is kind of different, despite having followed her adjustments. Oh yeah the coloring with the make-up is the same issue, so....

Dustin's shirt has actually the same pattern, it just has a stronger tone to it. And for some reason he looks fat (Or it's me, who sized the image wrong) PArker's shirt pattern didn't exist, so I improvised. He's actually okay, maybe a little too white....Kaylynn....She's actually good. BUT SHE GOT TO RECEIVE THREE TRAITS HERE!

The Langerak-Goode household, which I liked for some reason. Arthur's pattern did only exist after a specific patch. Obviously, I struggled trying to give him color 😂 Gloria I somehow messed up, despite having followed all the steps (Does this even make sense?) and again I used the wrong picture from the PlayStation. (Well, she wears at least in three occasions the same dress, but different colors=

Walmart-Fiona and Original Fiona. For a console actually neat. River's textures for her undershirt (?) (UNTERLEIBCHEN sounds hotter, okay) didn't exist, so I picked the closest one. She's actually GOOD. (Pun intended)

Plot twist: It was because she was the first Sim I created and after everyone else, I began to lose motivation......Of course not, that would be so ridiculous.....why would I?.....

It's funny, Ayesha is the third female character questioning my sexuality 💀 Not in the game, but in the fictional world. She's also a ten in the 1:1 comparison.

Jamie Jolina is at least 90% accurate.

Xander too. He would be a ten, if I didn't forget to give him muscles......

I could never stream me playing Sims. too much weird crap happens when I'm not paying attention 

i am on the worse part of tes2 ps2 for that. Im not fully engaged with uh sim anticts but yes this is one of the 3or4 lots where the main goal is to get people laid. most people on gaia know im pretty against it in public settings online so theres a part at like the later half where my sim's gf gets in the heartub hottub and I was gonna go do somethnig, but I audible just *UUUUUGGGHHH* "I have to go join my sim gf in the hot tub even though I dont like her much anymore, I'd move on from her but I need the Friend point"

-proceeds to click the button that isnt woohoo and is just 'play around in hot tub' and then go look at the other 2 who hector wants to go to pound town and cheat on his lover with like 2 other sims and his lover wants to get together with the captain. i have no idea how their relationship works, im tryna survive as Im dealing with build mode limitations being hella high on the level easily starting multiple fires 

so rn Im in the wedge cause I usually just power level out of this place but its the first time Ive devoted more time to ts2 on the consoles since I was a kid.

While studying for the driver's test I realized the alarming lack of road signs in Sims 2. Here's a motherlode of neighborhood deco.

Included is the air strip from Sims 3 plus a Roaring Heights exclusive recolor, various traffic signs from Sims 3, a streetlight and guard rails from Sims 3, and a flashing caution signal from Ambitions that actually flashes!

All located under Neighborhood Deco - Landmarks

Also included is a few telephone poles and a lamp post ripped from Sims 2 for Xbox and PSP.

As a bonus there's the Sims 1 Hot Date inspired stop sign, a conversion of Cyclonesue's stop sign for Sims 3

When I was a young kid, I would occasionally stay with my grandpa during joint custody. Dude was one of the meanest mfs I've ever met, but when I got to watch him work on his model train table, he turned into Bob Ross. Unfortunately lung cancer did him in before he could ever complete it, last I saw him he was still trying to get that waterfall fountain put in, and for reference that was way back in the summer when LeBron James left for Miami the first time.

When I'd go back to my mother's I'd always beg for a trainset. We lived in a small trailer on a tight budget so a giant table like his was out of the question. Had this model train catalogue that I would stare at for hours, circling all the little sign and tree kits pretending this would finally be the Christmas that my dream of building own little world would come true.

Childhood came and went, we moved around a bit, I ran away, moved around some more, scraped and scratched for another meal, but the thought of constructing my own world persisted.

Today I bring an entire set of neighborhood deco signs, lights, and other roadside infrastructure converted mainly from Sims 3, along with a few props ripped from Sims 2 console ports, just like those fancy railroad kits I would've killed for as a boy. Hope y'all enjoy.

If you’re mostly a Sims player like me, you can share recreations of the locations and characters in whatever game you prefer! You can post analysis on parts of the game, post your head canons on the characters/world, or talk about any other ideas you've had.

You can even do something as simple as telling us all about what you liked with the game and your experiences with it or even making a ranking of the characters based off of whatever criteria you want. You could even just post some screenshots you took while playing! Do whatever works for you!

The goal of this event is to get people talking and thinking about The Urbz: Sims in the City during/around its anniversary. I want people to do whatever the hell they want, but I also want to make sure to provide some ideas as a starting point for people who may want to particpate.

Also! Since all versions of the The Urbz: Sims in the City weren’t published in all territories for a few months, you can participate until March 11th, 2025, which is 20 years after The Urbz for DS released in Europe. So, if you want to participate but don't have the time, didn't see this post, or whatever you're doing is taking longer than expected, don't sweat!

Happy 20th anniversary to The Urbz: Sims in the City! This is a little late, but I didn't want to rush it. These objects can be seen featured in The Foundry district. Consider this part 1, as there are more Foundry objects to come! I removed the original books from the bookshelf and used the resources from each game instead to help it blend in better. Torch lights are currently only available for The Sims 2. I hope you enjoy, let me know if there's any issues!

The Sims 2 Console: German Demo shows its beta Cover?

I've talked to someone on Twitter like two days ago (I'm not calling it X) about how the dude with glasses was on the PS2 cover but also on the PSP version of the game.

Turns out: the German demo version of the game shows the unedited version of the actual Cover? Before his face was edited to look more.... Yeah I don't know why they changed it. They also edited the blonde woman's face too for some reason.

And it seems like there's only an English and German version of said demo? I couldn't find a Spanish or French version (should be called Los/Les Sims 2 as they actually changed the article)
