We were absolutely GLEElightful to have the fantastic @/chriscolfer dine with us yesterday
For the few that don't know who Chris is, he had played the part of Kurt Hummel in the multi winning awards series Glee for many years, and at the moment is filming locally.

Anyway, as I'm going back and reading a period during which the Teen Titans and other heroes were highly visible and active with the public, including Batman to a certain extent, and with camera!Tim and the idea of reconciling incompatible timelines on my mind -
I feel like the camera!Tim fanon where Tim follows Batman and Robin around in person for years could be (among other things, such as wanting him to interact with/admire Jason and encounter/join the Batfam early, etc.) partially a result of the retcon that B&R are shadowy, unconfirmed urban legends, and not public figures. Even for people who haven't read this retcon in the comics themselves, the "B&R as urban legends" world-state is still very popular, well-known, and often used in fic and fandom.
So during the 1994 Zero Hour event, there were a bunch of time anomalies and various adjustments to the canon, including (re-)establishing Batman (and Robin) as a hushed, menacing ~rumor~, more phantom and myth than man, as a matter of Bat policy. No public appearances. No clear photos, no hard facts.
Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight #0
Batman: Shadow of the Bat #0
We even have Dick relaying a slightly tweaked version of his origin, implying that Batman did not swoop down and publicly comfort Dick Grayson in the circus ring after his parents' murder (as was shown to have happened in Batman: Year Three and A Lonely Place of Dying back in 1989 - and which served as the initial reason Tim started admiring Batman!), and in fact Dick "...didn't believe the stories about the Batman" until months after he moved into the Manor, when Bruce told him the truth and showed him the Cave:
Robin (1993) #0
And of course the many subsequent instances afterwards of the existence of Batman, Robin, Nightwing, etc. all being kept on the down-low:
Young Justice (1998) #52-53 - Tim creating his Mr. Sarcastic guise to avoid being on-camera as Robin.
Detective Comics (Vol. 1) #727 - Bullock and Montoya being true Gothamite bros to the Bats.
And many more, etc.
All of this is obviously incompatible with the prior era and many events where Batman and Robin were very well documented as heroes, including Tim's origin in Batman: Year Three and ALPoD, as mentioned above.
As Tim related, he followed them mainly in various news media, and it was in fact on TV that he fatefully saw Robin's quadruple flip, years later:
Batman (Vol. 1) #441
By contrast, the 2016 recap of Tim's origin in A Lonely Place of Living, which restored his pre-Flashpoint backstory, does have Batman appearing at the circus again, and even taking Dick with him, but it doesn't include anything about Tim following Batman and Robin in the news, clipping articles, etc. It doesn't even mention when or how Tim saw Robin performing Dick Grayson's quadruple somersault in order to piece things together:
Detective Comics (2016) #965
But okay, if Batman and Robin were subsequently retconned into shadowy urban legends that didn't regularly appear in newspapers or on TV, how do we reconcile that with Tim's backstory as a fan who stalked followed them super closely?? His creepy cute scrapbook of newspaper clippings and Moment of Revelation from watching them on TV can't exist in the same form anymore, it's incompatible.
We can fudge an in-universe explanation covering most of the retcon, like it was a policy change that Batman instituted early in Tim's Robin tenure, and say Oracle went back and scrubbed photos, videos, records etc. from existence. We'd probably have to lean into the sliding timescale of comics and pretend all of this happened in a more digital era, though, because otherwise there are all of those pesky physical records...
We can cover the gaps by handwaving that the 'shadowy urban legends' cloak of secrecy was never foolproof, and hard evidence of B&R's existence did exist here and there, but was limited and hard to find. This jives fairly well with the actual 'urban legend' era post-Zero Hour; they couldn't avoid being witnessed or interacting with people all the time. Kid Tim would just have to do more involved digging than snipping articles out of the daily paper. Maybe the hidden security camera footage of Robin's flip that was shown on the evening news was much more shadowy and ambiguous than in canon, and it's because of Tim's special interest that he was even able to recognize B&R, and what was going on? I like this one, personally.
But alternatively. We do know that he followed Batman in person and took pictures at least in Batman #440. We're pretty sure that he had to have followed Dick/the Titans around in New York before, given that he'd memorized the Titans' schedules and knew the locations of both Kory's and Dick's apartments (also Batman #440; Tim, pls...).
It seems like extending these instances into a more regular pattern of Tim following the Bats around, and gathering photo evidence for his scrapbook by taking pictures himself, and witnessing Robin!Dick's flip in person, is one possible way to reconcile the inconsistency. And one even more likely to be used by people with only more general fandom knowledge, who are used to the 'urban legend' world-state but want to have Tim stalking the Bats at length anyway. (Which, along with New 52 Tim, is part of how we get baby super-hacker and electronic stalker extraordinaire Tim fanon, as well, I'm sure.)
#to be clear Tim was definitely a baby hacker but not to the fanon 10-year-old-hacks-the-BatCave-and-Pentagon extent that turns up in fic#Tim Drake#Tim Drake meta#DC meta#dcu#DC comics panels#Cam posts#Cam reads comics#A Lonely Place of Dying#fanon vs. canon#Dick and Tim#Dick Grayson#Bruce Wayne#Batman#Robin

Crossover Danuary Week Day 5
Prompt: Proof (DP x Batman xover)
Summary: Damian continued. “It’s stupid. Grayson says that I’ve made a friend. Todd and Drake don’t believe him.”
“Ah.”
“You know, we wouldn’t have to deal with this if you just introduced yourself already.”
A sort-of continuation to yesterday's one shot
Read the next part here
It was about 3 a.m. when Tim emerged from the Batcave, tired out of his mind and his stomach growling for something that isn’t coffee.
“Get the fuck out, Grayson.”
“I’m telling the truth, Jason!”
But instead of sneaking off with one of Alfred’s brownies, he ended up walking into…whatever it was Dick and Jason were doing.
Jason was sat on a barstool, both elbows on the marble countertops, a skeptical look on his face. Standing across the kitchen table from him was Dick, hands on his hips.
Tim walked past them to wash his empty mug in the sink. “Shouldn’t you guys be in bed?”
“I could say the same thing to you, Tim,” Dick said.
“Hey, Replacement, get a load of this,” Jason chimed. He points to Dick with his thumb. “Dick here says that Damian has a friend.”
“Shut up Dick, stop lying.”
“Why does everyone think I’m lying?”
Tim shut off the tap, placing his mug on the rack. “Because we’re talking about the demon brat here. Have you ever seen him willingly hang out with someone that isn’t Bruce?”
“I’m telling you, he has a friend.” Dick crossed his arms. “I’ll prove it, just you wait!”
***
It wasn’t that Danny didn’t want to meet the Waynes, it was more so that Danny wanted to put off that eventual meeting for as long as possible. He knew that Damian was eager to introduce him to their father—and holy shit, Batman was Brucie Wayne, no wonder no one connected the dots—if only to give Danny an excuse to be around the manor all the time, and Danny would hate to disappoint him. But, well, Danny was fine with their current arrangement. He would meet them soon. He just wanted it to be on his own terms.
But, Danny thought, Damian’s family were a really nosy bunch.
They were at the zoo. It was a clear, bright afternoon, and with it being the weekend, the zoo was decently packed that neither Damian nor Danny would stand out too much. There was a new exhibit on silverback gorillas, and Danny was feeling enough nostalgia for his ghost hunting days that he invited Damian over to come see it with him.
He pulled the brim of his baseball cap low, speaking in Esperanto. “Heads up, Damian. We got two birds at 5 o’clock.”
Damian answered in kind. Danny had taught him the language he learned that Esperanto didn’t exist in this world. It came in handy for missions where they had to deal with sensitive information and didn’t want to be overheard. “Which ones?”
He discreetly glanced at their tails, trying to put a name to the face. “A night bird and a robin redbreast.”
“Ugh. This is because of their stupid bet, isn’t it?”
Danny quirked an eyebrow.
Damian continued. “It’s stupid. Grayson says that I’ve made a friend. Todd and Drake don’t believe him.”
“Ah.”
“You know, we wouldn’t have to deal with this if you just introduced yourself already.”
“Ha! And how would that conversation go? ‘Hi Mr. Wayne, I’m the son you thought you lost— twice.’” Danny subtly tugged Damian’s sleeve and gestured for him to leave first. As Damian passed him, Danny mumbled, “Besides, I haven’t even told mother I’m alive again.”
Damian, ever the professional, didn’t break his cover until they met up again in the bird exhibit ten minutes later.
“What do you mean you haven’t told mother yet?” He hissed.
“It means that I haven’t told her yet.” Danny had ditched the baseball cap, opting to hide his hair with a bandana. His black jacket was reversed so that it was dark blue instead.
“Why?”
“I enjoy the anonymity, I guess.” With Damian out of the League of Assassins and Danny’s powers restored, there wasn't exactly any reason for him to stay. While he enjoyed learning from the lead, he had never really agreed with their methods or their ideology— even if he did go along with it for his family’s sake. Being dead (again) afforded him a certain freedom that he hadn’t been able to experience in a long time.
It’s one of the reasons why he wanted to avoid officially meeting the Waynes for a while. The Bats were paranoid, Batman especially. If they knew who he was, they’d want to keep track of him. If they knew of what he was, they would want to vigorously research his every ability for potential weaknesses.
And Danny would rather just— not.
Damian sent him a withering look. “Mother’s going to kill you when she finds out.”
Danny shrugged. “Eh, dying isn’t so bad.”
Not after the first few times, that is.
***
“Well?”
“Dick’s right. Damian has a friend.”
“I told you.”
“But there’s something really weird about this guy.”
“How so?”
“Other than that disappearing act he did? Take a look at this photo I snapped of him.”
Tim passed his camera over to Dick and Jason. The photo in question was of Damian and his friend, back turned towards the camera, leaning on the bars of the gorilla enclosure. Everything in the pictures was in full focus, but the stranger’s—
His figure was blurry. So blurry that it was almost as if he ran just as Tim took the photo.
But he stood still the entire time.
***
Their initial curiosity became a bit of a game, and then became a competition. The objective was simple: try to meet Damian’s new friend.
But as soon as the boys realized that Damian’s friend was really good at hiding, they added a new rule: you can get points for every picture you managed to get— the weirder, the better.
This competition would eventually spread from the robins to batgirls. Steph, Cass, and Barbara were more than eager to join the fun.
Now, with six highly motivated vigilantes as competitors, you’d think that one of them would have managed to meet this mysterious friend. But nope, each time any of them would get close, Damian’s friend would just magically disappear. Some of them had even resorted to bugging Damian’s phone so that they could get there first.
***
“Brown and Cain are here.”
“Whelp, there goes that cafe. How about Batburger?” Danny pulled his hood up, walking slightly behind Damian.
Damian scrunched up his nose. “I refused to go to such a gimmicky establishment.”
“You don't want to go because they haven't made the new Robin toys yet.”
“That…is simply a coincidence.”
***
“What. The absolute fuck.”
“Uh…anything wrong, Barbara?” Dick asked.
Barbara looked up from her laptop, bewildered. “How the fuck did the tracker I put on Damian’s phone end up in Antarctica.”
“What the— wasn’t he just in his room?”
***
Damian was playing fetch with Titus in the vast gardens of Wayne Manor when his brother decided to phase out of the ground and scare him.
“Woah!” Danny redirected the punch thrown at him. “It’s just me.”
“Why do you keep doing that?”
“I gotta keep you on your toes somehow.”
Damian grunted. He crouched as Titus bounded towards him, a bright red ball in the dog’s mouth. Titus deposited the ball in Damian’s hand, and Damian threw it as hard as he could towards the collection of topiaries to their right. “So? Where did you put the bug?”
“Antarctica.”
Impressive. “How fast can you fly, anyway? You were only gone for less than a couple hours.” A pause. “Was that how you managed to run for so long without breaking a sweat? Your powers?”
“Really? You’re still hung up about that?”
“I measured myself against you. A meta. No wonder I never got the best of you.”
Danny snorted. “As if being a regular human ever stopped our parents.”
“No…I guess not.” Damian hummed non-committedly. “Why Antarctica?”
“I wanted to see the Fortress of Solitude!”
“Danny…That’s in the Arctic.”
“See, that explains why I wasn’t able to find it.”
***
Danny saw a camera flash.
“Hey…uh, Damian…Why has Tim Drake been taking pictures of me?”
“You’re not very photogenic.”
***
It was Father who ended up ‘finishing’ the others’ strange competition over Sunday brunch.
“So, Damian, Alfred tells me you have a friend.”
Damian stared pensively at his tea before answering.“Of a sort. Yes.”
At Damian’s admission, the entire table erupted into chaos.
“Details, Damian. I need details!”
“Oh my god, who are they? Screw that— what are they?
“Wait, does this mean nobody wins?”
Father ignored the clamor at the table and gave Damian a soft smile. “Why don’t you bring them around the manor, some time? We’d love to meet them.”
His brother was probably going to try and find some way out of this, but…it was his father asking…and, well… “I will ask them.”
It was about time Danny introduced himself properly, anyway.
***
“You’re being very cavalier about this.”
Danny shrugged, shoving his hands in his pockets. “What do I have to be nervous about? I’ve got no one to impress.”
“Not even our father?” Damian turned to crack open the grand double door. Through the gap they heard someone scream ‘Quick— act natural!’ followed by an increasingly worrying amount of noise. Damian shut the door again.
Danny laughed. “Trust me, Dami, I’ll be just fine. Besides, all this sneaking around was getting kinda annoying.”
“They are rather tenacious.”
“Stubborn, more like it. At least we know where you get it from. Now, come on. Pretty sure they’re dying to see me right now.”
Damian raised an imperious eyebrow. “Try not to let them suffocate you with their questions.”
Danny didn’t really know what he was expecting when he officially met the Waynes. Though considering that they were Batman’s proteges, he expected that they would at least be able to successfully act natural when someone yelled ‘act natural.’
He was wrong.
It was easy enough to pick out who was who after his many hauntings of the manor. Dick Grayson was closest to the door, Cassandra Cain on the couch, Tim Drake and Stephane Brown behind it. But all of them were in such utterly ridiculous positions that Danny didn’t even want to attempt to describe because it was just that embarrassing.
The only people who actually succeeded in acting naturally was their father—and yeah, no, that was still weird to say—and his butler just walked into the room.
Damian face-palmed. “This was a terrible idea, why don’t we just go and visit the zoo?”
Bruce Wayne gave a blindingly bright smile. “Oh don’t be in such a hurry, Damian. You haven’t even introduced us to your friend yet!”
Oh. Oh. Danny got it now. That’s why no one’s connected Bruce Wayne to Batman.
His little brother sighed. “Everyone this is—” Damian paused, brows furrowed.
“How exactly did you want me to introduce you?” he mumbled in Esperanto.
Danny scratched his cheek. “I… hadn’t actually decided yet.”
“Would it be safe to tell them the truth or should we just stick with the friend cover?”
(“Are they speaking Kryptonian?” Stephane was probably supposed to be saying that under his breath, but Danny caught it anyway.
Tim narrowed his eyes, glancing between him and Damian. “It sounds like it but…I don’t recognize any of the words they’re saying.”)
So Kryptonian shared a similar structure to Esperanto? Holy crap, that’s convenient. He’d have to bug Damian for a copy of ‘Kryptonian: For Dummies’ guide later. It’s not everyday that you have the chance to learn an honest to god alien language.
But this little tidbit did narrow his options down significantly. Danny and Damian had been debating the merits of telling them Danny’s real identity or just making up a cover. But now it would just be really suspicious to introduce him as just ‘some guy’ when they’ve already heard him speaking in what sounds to be Kryptonian.
Danny inclined his head. “Just tell them the truth. There’s no harm in it.”
Damian gave him one more concerned look before turning to his family. “This is…Danyal al Ghul. My older brother.”
The living room went dead silent. Feeling a little self-conscious, Danny rubbed the back of his neck. “Hey, uh, nice to meet you. Feel free to call me Danny.”
Suddenly the door slammed open and a man came bursting through. “Did I miss it? Please tell me I didn’t miss the demon brat’s friend coming over!”
Danny turned around, eyes widening. “Jason?”
Jason blinked. “Danny?”
Damian’s eyes shifted between the two of them. “You know each other?”
Disneyland was right. It was a small world.

Oh yeah finally you requested are open I have not been on here for two weeks from school.
Can I request yandere demon batfamly x 👻 daughter reader where she was daimin twin but she died cuz of a Hunter and years later the find the reader again but this time she was train to Hunt demon's and is in the family that killed her and she some how traps them. But the get out but before the attack her one of them see the Brith mark she had long ago and rip off her mask.
Demons - creatures of the night with unimaginable power that could bend the fabric of reality just by being there or influencing the minds of mortals as they see fit. They were known for walking around the mortal world, wearing humans as skin suits; y completely destroying their life before discarding them when there was nothing left to take; leaving the human as a meaningless husk.
However - there are some demons that don't believe in using their power to meddle in the affairs of humans and one group of such demons was the Wayne Family.
Headed by Bruce Wayne - a very powerful and wealthy demon that does good things in the human world, followed by his sons Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, and Damian Wayne-Al Ghul. The Wayne Family is well known in the mortal and demon plains as being rich and powerful but there was such a night that they almost turned away from their righteous clauses.
And that night was when a Hunter came to Wayne Manor - disguised as someone in need - and at dinner, that Hunter revealed his true colors and plans to kill one of the strongest demonic lords around but someone got in the way of the attempt, taking the damage...and that someone was Bruce's Only Daughter & Damian's Twin Sister.
They almost killed him but handed him to the council to deal with but not kill.
It had been decades since [Reader's] Death and the Wayne Family wasn't the same and her birthday was coming up when they heard the news of a new huntress going around to hunt down powerful demon lords and taking their power and estates.
Bruce was on edge - a human huntress was able to take the powers of demons? How was that possible? Did she have some kind of stone that could capture the power of demons or was it something completely different?
It didn't take him long to find out when the Huntress came to Wayne Manor and managed to capture everyone in clever traps. Damian managed to get free and tackled the Huntress to the ground, knocking the strange relic of her hand...seeing a familiar marking on the back of her hand.
It couldn't be...
He snatched off her mask...and it was. The face of his sister was looking back at him with a glare on her face. She demanded she be let up but Bruce ordered Damian to restore [Reader's] Former Glory...by infusing the Demonic Power they shared back into her vessel.
And that's what he did...with his sister's screaming flooding the night sky.

Here are my theories on why Battison would be perfect for launching Robins into the cinematic big screens
1. The Focus with the Batman Movie
My theory on why The Batman is such a good movie is because it actually focused on who Batman is and not the villains or dynamics with the villains. It showed development and not just fighting.
I've said in another post that Batman is a symbol of hope and change for Gotham. A gritty, dirty, and determined hope for a gritty, dirty, and determined city. He refuses to kill because it would end the chance for redemption and his rule of no guns is a metaphor for it. (SPOILER IN THE NEXT SENTENCE), I loved the search and rescue scene because it was such a powerful and obvious metaphor of Batman being the light and hope for change by him leading the way to safety with the flare. (SPOILER finished)Because this movie shows Batman as a symbol of hope, the next logical step would be to pull out Batman's hope, which has always started with Dick Grayson. Dick Grayson has always been the first light and hope for Bruce. Dick went through the exact experience, but still has a joy that persists no matter what the circumstance. We all know that different runs and origins do different things, but through Bruce's eyes, Dick is his light.
2. The Divergence of how the actor typically plays Batman
Once again, most storylines, directors, and actors so far have focused on Batman and our typical idea of him being an amazing crimefighter and super good at it. This movie brought out the new batman who is still learning how to think and fight to keep up with his enemies. This is a SAD Batman that makes way more sense as to why he isn't good at showing his emotions than any other Batman. Introducing DIck would bring in such a wonderful side of forcing Bruce to develop his more human side and cause him to learn to be more of the Batman/Brucie Wayne that we are accustomed to and I think that would be wonderful.
3. The Dynamics introduced with Alfred that can be elaborated by adding bat-fam members
Another unique thing that The Batman did is established a family instead of assuming it. They fully addressed that Alfred was like Bruce's father while acknowledging how insufficient Alfred felt raising Bruce. (SPOILER) When Bruce told Alfred that he thought he conquered the fear of death but Alfred being in danger made him realize he didn't opened up such a raw vulnerable side of Bruce. This could be fleshed out even more by adding to the number of people cares about. We all saw him watching the mayor's boy. I'm perpetually persuaded that the only reason he didn't adopt him was that the boy still had his mother. (SPOILER finished) But bring Dick, who has no family left and will be lost to the system that destroyed Edward? He couldn't take it and would take him in figuring that Dick living in Wayne Manor would at least be a little better than the orphanage.
4. The Potentials with the Set of Wayne Manor
The Manor that we saw displayed the hopeless state of Bruce Wayne. But bring in a Bruce who is trying to restore his family's real reputation and trying to repair the manor but now has to work even faster because this tiny boy doesn't know how to stay off of banisters and chandeliers? Amazing. We see Alfred trying to help and while being ridiculously relieved that Bruce is being pulled out of the Batman mentality and just how that could be reflected in the Manor. The Batman was honestly a cinematographic masterpiece and I think this would be a great way to continue it.
5. I love him
Think of all the soul-crushing scenes we could have. Bruce in his too-big T-shirt bleary walking along with a very small child following him in a duplicate of that shirt because he doesn't have any pajamas to wear? Bruce actually smiles at the first pun Dick tells because of how long Dick has been walking around gloomily? When Dick figures out that Bruce is Batman and the worry Bruce immediately has? Dick thinks that he causes too much trouble and Bruce is just going to get rid of him while Bruce doesn't understand how anyone would not want Dick. Just Dick bringing Bruce out of Batman's unhealthy habits. Batman at a crime scene standing absolutely still and no one understands why but Dick is asleep in his arms and Bruce doesn't want to wake him up? Selina sees Bruce Wayne show up with this tiny child and kidnaps Dick for a little while to make sure he's okay while Dick is just happy to be around any kind of animal again and adores all the cats.
Basically, I think introducing Dick would be a really good move because it allows for a cinematic universe that rivals Marvel's even if they just focus on the bat family and would be a wonderful way to build on the way of looking at Batman the way The Batman did. Plus, Tony Zucco is a really cool villain

In Bruce’s defense, anyone who blames him for putting his children in the line of fire does not like...get his children.
Bruce adopting and training these kids is absolutely the only thing standing between them and even EARLIER deaths than the ones in canon that they all basically just...refuse to let stick.
Like, these are six incredibly determined little dumbasses.
Dick Grayson: breaks out of juvie and runs around rooftops tracking down the mob boss that ordered his parents killed in order to ruthlessly avenge them when he’s EIGHT.
Jason Todd: at age twelve, is caught stealing the tires off the goddamn BATMOBILE and upon being caught, his first instinct is NOT flight, its HIT THE GODDAMN BATMAN WITH HIS TIRE IRON.
Tim Drake: as early as age ten, spends his free time running around Gotham’s rooftops and back alleys stalking Batman and Robin with his clunky camera and absolutely no prior experience or training in either acrobatics or surviving Gotham’s back alleys.
Cassandra Cain: Upon learning Lady Shiva is her mother, ignores Batman yelling CASSANDRA NO and tracks down the most lethal and feared woman on the planet and bullies her into training her further, with Shiva going okay but then we gotta battle to the death and Cassandra going sure, makes sense, when do we start.
Damian Wayne: Early in life, is ordered to hunt and fight a bunch of dragon-type creatures. Adopts one as his pet. Finally meets his father, who does not trust him. Steals the Batmobile. Is fired from Robin and forbidden to leave the Manor for his protection while there’s a hit on his life. Calls himself Redbird and resumes Robin duties, citing that he was only forbidden from leaving as ROBIN, specifically. Is sent home during an attack on the city by a zombie army. Turns around and wades into the zombie army on his own. Etc, etc.
Duke Thomas: At age ten, the Riddler shuts down all the power in Gotham and says he’ll only restore it if bested with a riddle. Duke hears this and decides, this is a job for...Duke Thomas. Around age fifteen, he’s put in the foster system after his parents are affected by the Joker’s mind-altering gas during an attack, hears that some of the Joker’s victims have been found wandering around the sewer system that’s noted for being home to like....a cannibalistic crocodile villain, among other things, thinks well, guess I gotta go personally cover every inch of Gotham’s sewers on my own, by foot. Accidentally stumbles across a plot to bomb all of Gotham and decides, this is a job for...Duke Thomas. Etc, etc.
In summation, the Batkids’ shared family trait is Absolute Dumbassery and a Willful Disregard for Self-Preservation, and no, they do not accept constructive criticism. Bruce’s training them all as his partners was 40% fatalism, 60% Hail Mary.
He actually tried getting Dick to choose colors for his costume that would actually blend into the shadows, and eight year old Dick went nah, I’m gonna stick with bright red, yellow and green, thanks though.
He actually tried teaching Jason Todd how to prioritize speed and evasion against bigger opponents, and 5′4″ Jason Todd went nah, I’m just gonna punch ‘em, thanks though.
He actually tried sending Tim home when Tim first showed up, and Tim went nah, I’m just not gonna do that, thanks though.
He actually tried getting Cassandra to be more careful and selective about inserting herself into every single dangerous situation she came across, and Cass went, sorry, lost my phone when I weaponized it against the bad guys and also I’m in Hong Kong right now about to face off with my killer mom, see ya when I get back, bye.
He actually tried benching Damian repeatedly, and Damian went, LOL. No.
He actually tried stressing to Duke the importance of leaving dangerous situations to the professionals, and Duke kept showing up at every dangerous situation in Gotham and being like oh hey, so weird we keep running into each other.
Every time another adult hero clucks at Bruce disapprovingly and says he really should’ve kept his kids out of the hero life, Bruce’s eye twitches and he grinds out: “Oh gee. If only I’d thought of that.”

BATMAN BINGO MASTER POST 2020
1 "I thought you were dead.": I Still See Your Ghost
Today was just not Dick's day. First he overslept his alarm and was late to work. Amy had been less than impressed at his tardiness... Then He had bungled what should have been an easy take town... But the straw that broke the camel's back was Tim. Dick had forgotten to call Tim.
2 Friendly fire: Fratricide
Jason was pissed. No, Jason was enraged. Yeah, he was enraged at the whole mess his family-- if that’s even what they were to each other anymore-- had gotten him in. It was meant to be a simple night. Break in. Torch the drugs. Maybe shoot a couple of people and go home. But no, Batman heard about his plans and decided that arson was too extreme. “Someone could get hurt.” Well someone had gotten hurt, a lot of someones.
3 Hypothermia: Weekend Commute
Dick Grayson makes his way home during the first snow fall of the year, when he finds himself confused and cold, miles from home.
Chapter two Bruce's perspective.
4 Superman: Bringer of the Dawn
The Aftermath of when the Joker shoots Dick.
or
Where do you go when your family tells you to get out?
5 Shot: The Gratitude Trap
Bruce finds himself in the dark, a place he never thought he would be when it came to Clark Kent and Dick Grayson. Yet here he is digging for answers, because he is too scared to pick up the phone and call.
6 Two-face: The Better Choice
How do you reconcile the man who was once your friend with the monster he has become? Bruce reflects on how the man he once called his best friend changed. How could the man who helped him foster Dick, hold that baseball bat?
7 Drowning: Omori’s Law
Deep in the sewer's under Gotham, Batman is trapped. There is no back up, no Robin. He is faced with the single truth that he tried to teach each of his partners... You have to save yourself.
8 Found Family: A Restoration from a Resilient Heart
Dick just wants to not be alone with the shadows in the house. Bruce doesn't realize he has lived with them for far to long, and maybe he doesn't have to anymore.
9 Adoption: The Irrefutable Truth
When he reached the reception, he found himself looking around a fairly empty room. There were a few call girls in the corner filling out forms, an older woman holding a dog, a kid that looked about twelve and a middle aged man who looked like he was ready to cry. He knew no one. Dick was about to turn around and head back to his desk when the on duty officer called out to him. Officer O’Conner was one of his fellow rookies, he had a thick accent. Dick thought he might be from Louisiana. “Grayson! Why didn’t you say your brother was coming to see you?” Dick looked at him with his mouth slightly open. There was no way he heard that right. “My what?”
10 Bruises: Mr. Wayne
Tim is new to this. He's only been Robin for a little over six months. It was going well. But now he was going to be fired. Batman wouldn't want a partner who got caught at school with a black eye. Would he?
11 Bruce is dead: You Have One Saved Message
Gotham gossip columns spread lies and smear good people's names. But yet Damian can't help but think maybe this mornings article was true. That despite all his claims of being the true son of Bruce Wayne, he was in fact the only unwanted one.
12 CPR: Vital Signs
Robin wakes to find him and Batman in an exploded factory. With Batman injured and the building burning around them, Dick struggles to get them both to safety.
13 Dad: Storge
Bruce could have sworn his spirit had left him momentarily. The sudden hollowness that filled him couldn’t be explained in any other way.
“Your dad must have his hands full with you.” Elizabeth Ribbons leaned forward and patted Dick’s shoulder, as he reached for yet another slice of cheesecake from a passing waiter’s tray.
Bruce fixed his eyes on the ice sculpture that hid him from view. It suddenly seemed like the most interesting design in the world. The soft lines of the ice on the otherwise insignificant over sized swan seemed like a lead shield... Because Dick would read it easily in his expression. He wanted to be Dick’s dad. But he wasn’t.
14 Stealing the Batmobile: T-Minus Six Hours
Some days Tim is sure that he’s gonna be killed. Usually it’s some luck shot or near miss that made his life flash before his eyes. Not today though. Today he was positive Bruce was going to kill him. Yes, today was the day that Timothy Jackson Drake was going to be put down. He’s not sure that even Nightwing could save him. He was going to go down in history as the first sidekick to be murdered by their mentor. Because the Batmobile was definitely not where he’d parked it.
15 Wayne Enterprises: Amidst the Absence of Meaning
Bruce is worried. He's running on less than three hours of sleep, and way too many cups of coffee. He had messed up. That much was obvious. The question was would Dick forgive him?
A gruesome night on patrol bleeds into Bruce's work day and now all he can wonder is if this is the thing that will push Dick over the edge? Had he finally seen to much pain?
16 Ransom: Sum of My Worth
The ring of the phone seemed to echo through the manor’s still too quiet long, winding halls, and everyone present collectively held their breath. Bruce lunged for the phone.
17 Secret Injury: Hiding in Pain Sight
“What?” Dick asked sharper than he meant to. He was tired.
“Nothing.” Tim said with a small smirk. “Heavy is the head.”
Dick closed his eyes, glad that Tim couldn’t see them. He was so sick of this. Tim, Jason, Damian and Cass all didn’t think he was good enough, well Cass hadn’t said that, but Dick could read her. They didn’t think he was up to the job. Well they didn’t need to tell him that. He knew it.
18 Superboy: An Interlude in Breathing
Tim looked out over the water in a daze. Bruce and Dick had gone somewhere below deck and he was alone. Well there were strangers on the ship mingling and talking excitedly--but Tim gave them no notice. Instead he watched the water lap up against the hull and crash down back to meet the dark, cold waters. They were far enough out that he could no longer see the shore. It was just endless expenses of sea and sky. Something tickled his neck and he started, only to realize he had been crying. It was only a tear slipping under his collar.
The days after the battle of Infinite Crisis
19 Betrayed: Smother
She took another drag of the cigarette, letting the smoke roll in her lungs for a long moment before allowing it hiss out between her teeth. The screams from the warehouse weren’t completely muffled by the distance, or the walls. Perhaps she was only imagining them. But then, sounds like that, she didn’t think she could dream up. She jumped after a particularly high pitched yelp. “Get a grip.” She dropped the cigarette and pulled out another. Her hand shook as she lit it. “It’s just some random kid. He’s not--” She bit back a sob. She didn’t deserve to cry. She had no right to tears, not when it was her fault.
20 Crowbar: Breaklights
The mail fell to the ground and the paper smacked the tiles hard. The sound in reality couldn’t have been all that loud, but it seemed to echo around the entryway. Bruce didn’t look at the dropped bills and the invitation to a fundraiser for the new Gotham women’s shelter. He was too fixated on the small stamp with the queen of England's head on it. Wolverhampton.
The large envelope was far heavier then it should have been. Bruce could feel bile crawling up his throat.
He had forgotten.
21 Deathstroke: Debts and Dues
There were some things that were never pleasant, getting caught in the snow without socks, losing your keys, and not being able to remember the name of a song. Having a gun pointed at your chest, Dick felt, qualified as extremely unpleasant. He stood stock still. The barrel of the gun was still hot, it burned slightly as it dug into his sternum. Even with his uniform he could still feel the heat left over from previous rounds fired. He didn’t flinch. He couldn’t flinch. “Move.” “You know I can’t.” Dick wondered if Slade had the guts to do it.
22 Mission Gone Wrong: Murmur in the Quiet Hours
Superman? Clark froze. He knew that voice. But-- he had never heard it sounding so sad. Was that-- no. Clark dove for his phone, still on the counter from when he got home last night. The screen was black. Dead. Clark swore and dropped it. He was in his coat and shoes before it hit the counter top.
23 Kidnapped: Chum
Dick trumped through the leaves, stopping his feet roughly. He relished the sound of the crunch beneath his shoes as he tread on the brown, dead leaves before him. He felt rather justified in his satisfaction. After all the world had taken so much from him, why wouldn’t he do his best to crush it in return. The woods were cool and as he went deeper into them they grew darker. The sun had long set, and the sky was quickly vanishing as the trees grew thicker. Wayne Manor was far behind him. He was never going back. He hated those pristine walls, those old floor boards. He hated the quiet. He hated the stuffy furniture and the rules and the vases and pictures. He hated his new guardian and that… that… Dick couldn’t remember what Alfred was called, but he hated it. The bag on his back felt heavy. It had everything Dick owned in it. Well and a toothbrush that Alfred had given him. But he didn’t think that was really stealing.
24 Riddler: Seeking Silence on Shortwaves
Normally Dick would be happy to listen to Tim talk. In fact, Dick thought it was one of his favorite sounds in the world. Tim rarely allowed himself to be excited about things. Hearing him speak so freely and openly to Bruce and him about his plans was refreshing. Dick only wished it wouldn’t be at the cost of his life.
Batman hadn't always been so strict about talking unnecessarily over comms. When it was just two of them it hadn't mattered, their walkie talkie system had always worked. But now that Nightwing and Robin were in Gotham, it seems insane that they never realized: if only one person can talk over the radio at a time... how could they call for help?
25 Mr. Freeze: Glimpsing the Sun While Trapped in the Rime
He almost called Bruce between his fourth and fifth class. He pulled his phone out, leaning against his locker, and half dialed his number when a warm hand fell on his shoulder. “Hey.” Dick spun around and blinked back black spots as his body protested the sudden movement. A blaze of red hair filled his vision and Dick felt a small fire build in his chest. His face split into a wide smile.
After a run in with Mr. Freeze Dick finds himself feeling odd at school, but he can't go home, not when Barbara's asked him to drive her to Betty's party after school.

your headcanon about bruce finding an original Flying Graysons poster for baby dickie made me so emotional. bruce *would* do that!! i can also see him doing that when dick's older. like, he's been trying to track down a poster for years, but it's always been too difficult. then he and dick start fighting, dick goes his own way and thinks bruce doesn't care about him anymore, but then bruce has this poster beautifully restored, framed, and it's just. everything to dick.
oooooooooooh gosh i really love that babe!
ngl that’s probably what the original ask was asking, but i just got so caught up in the idea of baby dick and bruce fumbling his way into becoming an awesome dad for the first time that i just steamrolled right on ahead.
but aghhhh bruce showing up with the poster and dick is just,,,,,shocked, but he thanks bruce and maybe gives him a hug (depends on how strained their relationship was at the time) and then after bruce leaves dick just has a mini mental breakdown because oh my god bruce went and tracked down an original flying grayson poster bruce still cares bruce still loves him even though he kicked him out, and dick knows he won’t be going back to the manor anytime soon, but the thought that the manor’s doors will always be open to him regardless is much more comforting than he could have imagined.

Ok but like imagine Stephanie Brown and Claire Novak as the same person like after Claire’s parents die she gets ‘adopted’ by Crystal and Arthur. Like Arthur killed the real Stephanie and Crystal went crazy so he took her from some group house or something.
When they start calling her Stephanie she decides that going by a different name would be better than Arthur beating her again.
Then when Arthur becomes Cluemaster. She doesn’t feel bad about becoming the bane of his existence as Spoiler ‘Enemy to criminals and People who hate Purple’ not one bit.
When she falls in love with the 2nd Robin she doesn’t tell him her real name. She tells him Spoiler. When he tells her he knows who she really is, she’s relieved when he says Stephanie Brown.
It was the first time she was relieved to hear the name.
When he dies she’s devastated she never told him her real name. She screams and crys and wants to vow to never love another. But Jason left her an ‘in case of my death’ note. Making her promise to not be alone.
She vows to not love lightly and to insure he would approve.
It doesn’t help when she falls in love next it’s with the criminal Red Hood. So she fights it and fights it and fights it. Jason would never tolerate The Red Hood much less approve of him or his methods.
Then Black Mask kidnaps and tortures her. But Hood saves her. Jason would like him. Even if he was to late.
Hood tries anyway rushes her to Leslie and begs her to live. When she asks why he cares so much he takes off the helmet and says “Because I love you.” She doesn’t get the chance to say it back to scold Jason about not telling her he was alive this whole time. In fact she doesn’t get to say anything because blood is pooling in her mouth. But she squeezes his hand 3 times to say ‘I love you too’ and he says he understands.
She hopes he writes something good for her grave.
When she wakes up she’s in a coffin 6ft. under and her gravestone says Stephanie Brown 2001-2018 ‘A light in the darkness of Gotham that inspired Kind Hearts.’ She didn’t get to read it until 5 years later.
When she dug herself out she was greated by a hand with a trench coat draped over the wrist. Cas had brought her back from hell. She almost didn’t want him too. Two years in hell meant her soul might be damaged beyond repair. He knew that but He saved her anyway.
Cas had tried to apologize for not being able to save her sooner but he had been in Purgatory with Dean. Then Heaven had controlled his mind. She said it was ok, that she was ok that she didn’t even remember hell.
She lied on both counts. He let her.
Cas brought her to Dean who in turn brought her to Rowena. The witch called in a favor with Ra’s Al Ghul. The Lazuras Pit healed her body and Rowena healed her soul.
But her mind was another thing. Magic and the mind don’t go together well. So she was left with the memories of hell and very little else. She didn’t remember Gotham or Spoiler or Jason. All she remembered was 2,400 years of hell. 1,500 years of being tortured. The first 400 of which demons wore Jason’s face to cause psychological harms along with the physical. 100 years of torturing later she didn’t know who he was beyond the face of a demon. 1,000 years later she didn’t recall him at all. Then she said yes. She picked up a blade and began 900 long years of ripping people apart. Of pain and screams and people begging for it to stop.
She was just happy it wasn’t her anymore.
That was what haunted her dreams the smile she bore as they bled, and burned, and cried.
The boys eventually took her to Soiux Falls, South Dakota to heal up. Jody and Alex set up her room. She hunted to pay penance. She killed Werewolves and Vampires, Witches and Demons. She killed the things that killed innocents.
She had a code.
She worked at the precinct for Jody. She got her high school diploma and started her Medical Degree to become a surgeon. Alex, Jody and the Winchesters were her family.
But she was missing something, someone.
She went to Ra’s trained as a league assassin. Became ‘Aleasfur’ (The Sparrow). She met Damien Al Ghul a Prince no older than 10 but with a battle strategy that outmatched most.
He looked familiar.
She didn’t find what she needed. So Ra’s released her “for now.”
She found Themyscira trained with Amazons and Goddesses.
She did not find what she needed.
After 5 years of searching for a way to heal her memory she went back to the first thing she remembered top-side. Her grave.
A man was setting purple flowers on her headstone. She had dyed her hair and changed so much he didn’t recognize her at first. She asked if he knew the person who was supposed to be in the coffin. He said he loved her. Then looked up, she knew the look had seen it before, the ‘I know you, You’re supposed to be dead’ look. When he stood up she almost ran but he hugged her before she could.
When The man hugged her she felt at home even though she had no memory of him. When he asked where she’d been she told him the truth. Told him of having only one memory of his voice saying “I love you.” Of trying to restore more of her memory by traveling the world only to be led back to the beginning.
‘Jason’ brought her to a place called Wayne Manor. Said “Alfie will help.” ‘Alfie’ injected her with a serum. As she passed out she realized how stupid she is to let a total stranger inject some drug into her arm.
When she woke up she remembered.
She remembered her parents, she remembered Arthur and Crystal, she remembered Bruce Wayne and Batman, she remembered Cass and Kara and Kate, she remembered Black Mask, she remembered Tim Drake-Wayne, Kon-el, Duke Thomas, and Dick Grayson. She remembered her friends and family.
But most of all she remembered Jason.
The taste of his lips, they feel of his hands on her thighs, the feel of his dick in her throat, the way he would talk so sweet as he nailed her so hard or the pull of her hair as he bent her over.
She remembered him.
How when they would read Jane Austen on rooftops he would bit his lower lip in concentration, or how right before he kissed her his nose would twitch, or when they first knocked someone out in one punch the other convinced Bruce to buy milkshakes.
She remembered everything.
The look frozen in time on his face, the shrapnel dug into his skin and the crowbar stuck in his head. She remembered every cut and bruise. She remembered the way her throat felt after screaming so hard she coughed up blood.
Then She remembered the Red Hood.
How it felt to betray Jason’s memory. How relieved she was when he took off the hood, how she died holding her lovers hand. How her last thought was that he would love someone else.
When she woke up everyone was there. Cass, Duke, Dick, Babs, Bruce, Kate, Kon-el, Tim, Harper, and Alfred.
And Jason could be found right next to her, holding her hand fast asleep with Titus at his feet.
When Jason woke up and everyone went to their own rooms he told her he broke their promise of loving again. That he couldn’t move on that he loved her still. She told him he might not after she told the truth about everything, about what she had been doing for the 5 years she’d been out of hell. About all the lies she told before she died. He promised it wouldn’t change the way he felt about her.
She explained everything hunting, heaven, her time in hell her new friends and family. And everything else.
Finally she told him her name. How it became hers and why she never told him. Then she told him that she understands if he can’t love her after everything but she will always love him and always has even when she didn’t remember him she missed him.
Then he said the one thing She had always wished for “I love you, Claire Novak.”

Soul Shards Au Headcanons
Dunno if this already exists, but if not, here it is.
Tim Drake Soul Shards au.
—-.—–
Okay I wanted to write about this, but really, between Twisted Soulmates and Put a Ring on it, and *finals* (I’m halfway through hell, I have to keep going), I just can’t. But this wouldn’t leave me alone, so here.
Au where everyone is born hugging a shiny small orb, which encompasses their soul. To anyone else, the orb is solid, like diamond perfectly polished. But to the owner, it changes as they see fit, from rock solid to malleable. Commonly, mothers, fathers and close relatives will gift their kids with little pieces of their own souls, shaping them to be little rings, necklaces, headsets, etc. Kids are discouraged from giving soul shards to anyone other than their relatives until they grow up a bit, but some still give bits and pieces to their best friends. The bit of soul given away always carries the feeling the person who gave it has for the person receiving it, so kids always carry their mother’s love, their father’s pride, their aunts or uncles fondness, etc.
Now, into the headcannons. Please keep in mind I wrote this in one go so it’s not edited. Probably full of mistakes.
Tim’s parents were always careful with their souls, carrying them on little pouches or leather bags. They are full and perfectly unscathed. Jack’s soul was a little more reduced, since he gave bits and pieces of himself to his own parents when he was a little kid, but Janet’s is whole.
They never gave him a piece of themselves, Janet firmly against the act altogether, Jack following on her example.
Little Timmy always watched his classmates on kindergarten running around, shinny shards of soul decorating them, radiating a love he never felt on his own skin.
Fast forward the night the Graysons fell, little Tim went back home and made a little necklace for the boy that flew for him and gave him a hug so warm he likes to think it’s what being gifted a soul feels like.
He never really gets around to giving it to him though. It sits on a wooden box in a hidey hole under Tim’s bed, along with his most precious Batman and Robin photos.
He once tries to give his parents soul shards (a wonderfully made ring and headset for dad and mom respectively). His mother is outraged, to the point to slap him. Then, for maybe the second or third time in his life, she hugs him.
“-You stupid boy. Don’t give your soul away so easily, or you’ll have none left for yourself. And what do you think will happen to you, if you are soulless?”
He never tries again.
Tim once falls from a high spot, where he was perched taking pictures of the second Robin. His hero saves him, gives him an earful, and they become friends (Robin drops in before or after patrol to make sure Tim listened to his warnings and stopped sneaking out at night. Tim kept doing it, but was sneakier about it and Robin, despite being suspicious, has no proof that the kid disobeyed).
Tim gives Robin/Jason a soul shard once, a little birdarang he craved after the one Jason gifted him, but shiny blue like his soul. It’s filled with awe, respect, shyness, adoration and what would equal as a crush if Tim were socially adept enough to recognize it. Jason is a stuttering mess for weeks, keeps the birdarang with himself at all times, right next to the soulshard Bruce gave him, and never takes it off. He plans on giving Tim something back, but is unsure as to what. Earing? The kid needed a little pre teen rebellion…
He never gets around to doing it.
He’s clutching Tim’s birdarang when he dies. Bruce doesn’t know who gave it to Jay, and is too overwhelmed with grief to investigate. He just buries Jason with it.
After Tim becomes Robin, he finally gathers enough courage to give Dick his soulshard. He explains how much Dick meant to him growing up, but that Dick doesn’t need to give anything back. They’ve just officially met not long ago, after all. Dick promises to give him something soon, though.
He doesn’t. Other things are more important. IT’ll happen when it happens, he figures. No rush.
Bruce gets a watch and Alfred a tie pin, but Bruce refuses to give anyone else a piece of himself, less of all Tim. He’s sure his soul is poisoned or something (He gave some to his parents, they died. Dick, he left. Jason, he died. Clark and Diana, they were superhuman, they don’t count. Alfred… well, Alfred is always the exception), and won’t allow his darkness to touch the boy (OH BOY IS HE WRONG). But because he doesn’t want Tim to feel like Bruce has a personal problem with him (*epic fail on his part*), instead of calmly explaining his reasoning, he also forbids Alfred from giving Tim a soul shard (That shit’s gonna explode on his face).
Tim goes around to giving bits and pieces to his friends, too. Doesn’t really expect any back though, used as he is to giving and never receiving.
He gives Steph a locket, when she tells him she’s pregnant, so she can keep a picture of the baby if she wants (or anything else if she doesn’t), even after giving him or her away. Steph doesn’t reciprocate since pregnant women are advised against molding and sharding their souls, in case it hurts the baby’s soul development. Then she ‘dies’, and after she comes back Tim is angry at her, and there’s never a right moment for her to give him a shard.
Cass… well, Cass is so touched when Tim gifts her a soul-made compass that always points towards the Manor (“So you can always find your way back home”), but her father has damaged her soul by throwing it around and dropping it a lot, on top of his emotional and physical abuse, and it’s just too bruised for her to give any away, though she promises herself she will the moment it’s healthy enough.
Tim’s team… God, his team. By this time, Tim is kinda concerned, because he gave too much recently and his soul is looking kinda… malnourished? small? He can’t really put a finger on it, and he’s worried his parents will notice, so he doesn’t give his team a shard at first.
It’s after his parents die (buried with the soul pieces Tim made for them, even if they never wanted to wear them) that he thinks ‘fuck it’ and, while hanging out with Kon and Bart, gatters courage and asks them what would they like.
After being reassured that he wants to do it, Kon shyly asks for an earing (of course he does) and Bart for a ring (kinda like his grandfather’s? few other things would stay on him at the speed he runs, too). They wished they could give back, but Kon, as a clone and alien, was created with a soul no one can touch, like a phantom light following him around, and Bart already told them how everyone in the future was born with theirs inside their bodies.
He sees the soul-made birdarang again, and that’s what cues him on the fact that Jason Todd came back to life. It’s colour had changed from blue to red, the only reason he recognized it was the tiny R he carved on the middle. He sees it close and personal when his former hero tries to gut him.
He gives Cassie a bracelet on Kon’s funeral. Turns around and leaves before she can say anything about it.
Tim lays in bed at night and remembers his mother’s words (“You stupid boy.”), and wonders what, indeed, is the danger of going soulless. He doesn’t know if it’s possible. His soul has shrunk, that’s obvious, but, thinking back on all the pieces he gave away, he should have run out of it a long time ago.
Bruce dies. Everyone whose soul he gave to are the ones that carry his casket. Damian and Tim are sitting on the front rows, but their lack of deep blue soulshards is telling.
Not too long after, Dick gives Damian a little Robin sky blue brooch, to fasten the cape of his new uniform with. Tim wears black and red, not a hint of shiny soul on him. He leaves Gotham and looks for Bruce.
Ra’s is the first person ever to inquire about his shocking lack of soulmade gifts. To wonder about the bruised state of his soul.
“The Pit could heal it, restore it to it’s former grandness” “I’ve seen what it did to the bit of my soul I gave to Jason… no thank you.” “You’ve given far too much. It’s state is sad enough a hundred cynics wouldn’t be able to describe it without bawling” “It wasn’t a matter of give, it was a lack of take. And it’s not like giving it away is the only abuse my soul had to endure.”
He brings Bruce back, but he’s so tired. His soul hasn’t been growing back on itself like it did the first few times he took from it.
The love he felt when someone smiled at his soul shards was what feed his soul, he realizes. It’s past malnourished at this point.
If he had enough soul left, maybe he’d have cared.
The final straw is Damian, of fucking course. He doesn’t even remember what the argument was about, even five minutes after it had ended. He simply didn’t care anymore. Something about Wayne Enterprises, the right heir, the blood son…
Tim blinks blankly at Damian, hand reaching inside his pocket, looking for the now tiny, ping pong ball- sized piece of soul. The last he had left.
Silently, he stopped Damian’s rant short by taking the gesturing teen’s hand mid air and holding it open, dropping the remains of his soul in it, and closing the now still fingers around it.
“There. Now you truly have everything that was mine. Happy?”
He turns away, and leaves. Damian stays behind, heart hammering away in his chest, clutching the tiny (too tiny) soul.
In different places, different people feel a sudden heat from the pieces of Tim’s soul they carry with them. Steph, Cass, Bruce, Kon, Bart, Dick, Jason, Alfred, Cassie… they all look for theirs.
The soul is now mostly red with flecks of black, very little of the icy blue remains. It’s a bleeding soul.
A dying soul.
“And what do you think will happen to you, if you are soulless?” Sorry, mom.
Apparently, decides Tim, dragging his hoodie over his head to hide his features as he boards the plane, you stop caring.

Did I make you cry? I made myself cry. Was gonna give this a happy ending but I HAVE TO STUDY, FUCKING FINALS.
