For roundabout reasons I rewatched 2001: A Space Odyssey today and...

I don't get how people can call this the ''best'' sci-fi movie of all time. Influential, certainly. Ground-breaking, without doubt. But ''good''?

I know this might be an unpopular opinion, but the pacing is just excruciating. The first and last acts are incomprehensible, even if you've just read the book. HAL 9000 is truly the only good thing about the film.

also, god, i am once again feeling the urge to re-read all of dany's chapters . . . so if a huge wave of headcanons and meta posts come about . . . 👀 just a few of the headcanons i've been cooking up but have been too lazy to pull quotes and things from? her relationship with jhogo (the pulling her onto his horse? the hand on her waist? him pledging himself to her FIRST as blood of her blood??? HIM BEING THE ONE HANDED OVER TO THE YUNKAI'I?), what drogo and daario truly mean to dany, ruthlessness in defense of justice, quaithe's potential involvement with dany, the dissolution of dany's relationship with jorah, her complete thoughts/feelings on rhaegar and lyanna, so many more.

Going on a library ban effective immediately. Once I finish/return the books I currently have borrowed, I'm not getting anymore so help me gd. It is so stressful to me to have this many unread books in my home that I avoid looking at my shelves and therefore only read library books/audiobooks from Libby. Libby is included in ALAB (All Libraries Are Banned).
