Une femme enceinte se sent enfermée dans son couple. Elle décide de prendre la route. Elle prend un autostoppeur. Ce dernier est un ancien footballeur qui a un handicap mental suite à une blessure à la tête.

Un film étonnant, beau et mélancolique (déprimant peut-être). Alors qu'elle cherche la liberté, Natalie va s'enfermer dans une autre relation à cause d'un trop plein d'empathie. Durant son road trip, elle va croiser d'autres personnages brisés par la vie.

Je n'ai presque pas reconnu James Caan, car il a toujours l'air eu vieux, mais là il est tout jeune.

THE RAIN PEOPLE (1969) Grade: C+

I was disappointed. It was a good, not great film. It's an odyssey of sorts. James Caan is excellent however. He always seems to be. I was lukewarm on the end. I thought the ending should had been more on her note but I think I understand where Francis was going. Still, it seemed unmemorable.
