Do i headcanon Steve with some of the same moles i have? Yes i do. Do i have a reason of why? No, not really.
I just think it’s pretty neat sharing the same moles as Steve, and because i also think it’s cool that:
Steve has two moles on his neck that kinda look like a vampire bite (Eddie goes absolutely feral about them. When he dressed up as a vampire for Hallowen he tells everyone that he did them).
Him thinking he has the usa minor in his arm for a while until Robin tells him it's missing two moles for it to be true (and saying that if it's really the usa minor 'it's a funny looking' one).
He has two moles in his right hand that, everytime someone of the Party is bored with a pen, they draw a smiley face with them (the two moles are the eyes and they just draw the mouth).
Steve has a pretty noticeable mole on his stomach, near his belly button.
Yeah, that’s it, i just love his moles.

The party, of course, immediately accepted Will and Robin when they came out. Dustin couldn't help but ask the question because he's a nosy little shit.
Dustin: *looking at Robin* If you had to pick a man, though, who would you go for?
Robin: Steve. No contest. Only in a parallel universe, though. And parallel me still has to like women. There's no universe where I'm straight. Not that I have anything against heterosexuality.
Steve: Eddie. *everyone stares at him* Oh, was that question not directed at both of us?
Eddie: It's okay, big boy. If I were gay, I'd go for you, too.
Argyle: *whispering* Oh, man, Steve and Eddie don't know about bisexuality.
Steve: You whispered that to me.
Argyle: Oh, sorry. *turns to Jonathan* Oh, man, Steve and Eddie don't know that bisexuality exists.

One of my favorite flavors of Rockstar Eddie and Normal Guy Steve is when Steve not only doesn't care who Eddie is, but actually thinks his music is terrible and is Not Impressed with him at all.
Robin and the kids drag him to a festival where Corroded Coffin is headlining and they have an ok time, Steve is mostly focused on making sure no one gets dehydrated or roofied but he enjoys some of the opening acts before the heavier shit starts.
But then the more metal/alternative stuff starts and more people are crowding around the main stage and the whole thing irritates him and makes his head start to throb but he's keeping it together. Finally, the main act is set to take the stage and Steve can push through one more hour before corralling everyone to the food stalls one last time and heading home so he doesn't have to stop on the way to feed the gremlins, or worse, take them to his place and be forced to provide sustenance.
Only, Corroded Coffin is 30 minutes late to the stage which sets Steve's teeth on edge from the get-go. Then they come on and they are so loud and the main guy whose name he doesn't know (it's Eddie) is drenched in sweat in 5 minutes and looks like a drowned rat with tattoos. Steve has no idea what they're saying and he's reached his limit so he knows he must be glaring up at them and is the infuriating guy in the front of the crowd with his arms crossed not dancing.
Finally, the show ends after two encores making it well past 1:00 AM. The kids and Robin are buzzing, so he can't be too mad, but he's ready to get something to eat and drive them all home. Technically there's two days of the festival, but they only had enough money to shell out for the first day.
It's when they're in line for food that Eddie seeks out Steve. Usually people standing in front and not moving is a surefire way to piss Eddie the fuck off, but this guy was so pretty and looked so sweet looking at his friends next to him he was instantly smitten.
He walks over with a kind of jackass rockstar swagger that immediately sets Steve off. He smells like sweat and his hair is a huge frizzy mess and he says "Hey sweetheart, why don't you let me buy you something?"
Steve just gives him an unimpressed look while the party is in various states of shock, crosses his arms, and says "Only if you want to pay for all these shitheads too. They're like a pack of feral chipmunks and I'm not looking forward to paying their bill."
This is not at all the response Eddie expects. He's famous! He's used to people getting flustered and tripping over themselves to be in his orbit! Sue him! But he's immediately charmed and agrees to pay for everyone and ends up coming with them to eat around Steve's car, entertaining the kids when he'd rather lean up on the side of Steve Robin hasn't already claimed for herself.
By the end of the night Eddie is convinced Steve is the one for him, the man of his dreams and is determined to woo him. He asks for Steve's number which Steve agrees to give, but promises Eddie he won't be easy to please.
Eddie is more than up for the challenge.

A sort of part two has been created 😊

ALRIGHT BUT
I’ve been having flustered Steve thoughts.
The Party has NEVER seen Steve flustered. Steve’s always the one flirting and no one ever flirts back anymore so Steve’s never actually flustered.
But then Eddie Munson comes slithering along and he flirts with everyone just cause he can but nobody’s flustered by his attempts because he’s not trying to actually fluster them.
But for some reason he really flusters Steve.
Eddie uses this to his advantage and actually puts forth effort when he flirts with Steve.
Steve is flustered, bashful, embarrassed. He’s twirling his hair and giggling and he does this thing where he taps his fingernails on his front teeth when he gets distracted.
The Party was NEVER seen Steve like this.
Not even Nancy when they were dating.
Steve has described what he was like when he was flustered to them, calling himself stupid and saying he acted like an idiot to try and get them to just lay off.
All anyone sees is an absolute sweetheart.
Steve blushes really bright, starting with his ears and it just travels down from there. And also he’s really bad at hiding his smiles and he smiles so BIG when Eddie flirts with him. Like you can see every tooth and his eyes crinkle so much they basically close and his nose scrunches up.
And Eddie fucking THRIVES in it.
Because NO ONE else gets Steve like that.
Eddie’s witnessed Steve flirting with the girls of Hawkins. Has seen them all flirt back with varying degrees of bluntness.
None of them have gotten Steve nearly half as flustered as Eddie has.
UNTIL.
Eddie has Steve come over to the trailer to hang out. Steve by some turn of events ends up cooking and making grilled cheese and tomato soup.
Wayne comes home right as Steve is playing everything and Steve is DISTRAUGHT. Like “no Wayne it’s alright, really. I can make you some to it’s ok I like cooking you’re really doing me a favor.”
So Steve makes Wayne a grilled cheese to and refuses to let Eddie eat until they can eat together.
So they’re all sitting and then they start eating. And obviously it was a damn good grilled cheese— Eddie knew Steve could cook but good GOD.
And then Wayne puts his grilled cheese down, looks between Steve and Eddie, and tells Eddie “If you don’t marry ‘im I’m adoptin ‘im.”
And Steve BEAMS.
It’s that same smile he gets when Eddie flirts with him and Eddie is only somewhat livid.
Cause he totally gets the rush of having Wayne compliment you for the first time. He’s just such an honest man.
And it goes from there that the only people who can fluster Steve are Eddie and Wayne (Eddie romantically and Wayne platonic-fatherly).
They both go out of their way to compliment him constantly just to see him smile like that :)))
Aaahhhhh this makes me so happy!!!!

Steve and Eddie being chaotic childhood friends, gaslighting everyone they know.
It started when one of their teachers wanted the students to make pairs with someone they didn't know or get along with; therefore friends couldn't make the project toguether.
Of course Eddie wouldn't pass the oportunity to be dramatic and annoy a little bit the teacher, acting like it was the worst thing to ever happened to him and throwing himself on Steve's desk, making the other roll his eyes in a fond way.
It was the beginning of the year but in small towns most of the kids knew each other since before so it wasn't that weird of a request; but the teacher was also new so they didn't know the relationships of the kids very well.
That's why when small kid with a rebel vibe, starting to grow his hair and going to a more dark look, annoys them and says it would be a nightmare to do the project with preppy kid, clearly rich boy vibes and in his way to be popular, they knew who they were putting the kid with.
The teacher smirked thinking they did good, meanwhile Steve and Eddie trying not to grin and communicating with their eyes to not messed up and go along with it.
They ended up having to act like they hate each other i'm front of the teacher so they could carry on with the project, but what about the rest of the class who knows they're friends?
They follow along.
Maybe it's to gain Steve's favor, maybe they thought it was funny or maybe they thought it was about damn time they stopped being friends, that it was a good way finally separate them and make Steve fully part of the jocks and Eddie less intimidating for the rest of the outcast.
Anyways, the whole class goes along with it and Steve and Eddie, like the dorks and drama queens they are, they decide it's a funny bit to keep.
At some point they were too deep into it, having to act for the rest of the year like that because of the project and somehow convincing the whole school. Their friends to enemies bit becoming popular knowledge.
Steve and Eddie now just think is too funny to stop so they continue to gaslight everyone.
Eddie? Steve? No, I hate that guy.
Anyways, they going to high school and the whole meses with the upside down happens. In that moment Steve is so happy to being able to keep Eddie away of that mess.
I just love a clueless Eddie trying to figure it out what's happening to his boyfriend (finally) at the same time the Party is clueless about the relationship between their dungeon Master and their babysitter.

Dustin : Eddie, give me your bat!
Eddie : My bat??
Dustin : Don't you carry a bat in your bag?
Eddie : Have you ever met a person carrying a bat in their bag??
Dustin calling Steve : Hey Steve do you carry a bat in your bag?
Steve : Of course, I'm not an animal.

Okay I’m halfway through The Dustin Experiment and here are some fun snippets you might consider using in fics/art:
- Dustin occasionally going with Steve and Robin to their after school Family Video shifts to hang out with them
- Steve lets the kids rent movies without actually running it through the system and Robin hates it because of the Karate Kid incident
- The jocks are genuinely afraid of Eddie
- Eddie and Dustin hit it off after Dustin fixes Eddie’s Walkman and later his amp
- Dustin and Suzie have radio dates twice a week and they even started their own book club
- Eddie made Dustin a mix tape full of metal songs “because man cannot live on Weird Al alone”
- Robin likes to launch paper footballs at Steve’s head while he’s restocking
- Claudia loves her son so much she doesn’t care that he continuously blows the power of the whole house
- Robin offers to mediate for Dustin and Lucas since they’re not talking
- Steve’s Saturdays are “booked weeks in advance”
- Dustin ask Eddie to drive him to Indy and says “Help me, Eddie-Wan Kenobi” ; Eddie is not amused
- Dustin learns Max moved to Forest Hills after he leaves Eddie’s house and spots her
- Robin DOES mediate between the boys and makes them do trust falls which she makes Steve help her demonstrate
- Steve is apparently afraid of a show called Turbo Teen
- Dustin (and all the boys) write to Will to the point where he knows what’s going on including hellfire and Lucas’s basketball try outs
- Will even sends Dustin a sketch title card for his science fair poster
- Eddie is afraid of ducks because they’re “pure evil” and “have eyes that can look into your soul and do irreparable psychic damage”
- Dustin’s dad cheated on Claudia and when they divorced they moved back to Hawkins
- Eddie gives Dustin a pep talk when he’s nervous about the science fair and tells him it’s okay to be nervous and that he still gets nervous before gigs
- Eddie told an entire group of science fair kids a scary story
