Ultraman Decker October Scans
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We are officially entering into the filler month before the climax arc
Episode 16:
Essentially a Seven anniversary episode with the juvenile Pandons and Pandon himself
Episode 17:
Filler episode with Gomess
However apparently there will be some scenes of Metsu Orochi and Hudram as a flashback, no details on why
Episode 18:
Ace's 50th Anniversary episode with Alien Yapool and Aribunta
I don't even rmb when was the last time I saw Alien Yapool other than in Ace ngl
But I guess this means that the one we saw back in Ace isn't actually the collective whole of his race but probably either an individual or a collective group
Really reminds you of the fact that Alien Yapools are actually higher dimensional beings like the Ultramen in the Shinverse
Episode 19:
Featuring a Galactron MK2 being controlled by Spheres
So I guess Spheres can't really change the appearance of mechs understandably, that's why we aren't getting a "Sphere Galactron MK2"
But this is also the 2nd Trigger cameo
Apparently Decker got teleported outside of the Sphere Barrier, no details on that
But it's also mentioned that both Trigger and Decker would be using all of their forms in this episode
(Except of course Trigger Dark and Truth)
Also the episode is also gonna feature the Zomborg soldiers from Dyna
-
So this basically also confirms that the recent "leaks" were totally fake which ngl I'm relived as heck cause I definitely didn't like where Kaia was going lmao
But on another note, this means that the Dyna cameo would be a thing during the climax arc cause after this, its literally just Sphere Geomoss and Mother Spheresaurus left
And I won't be surprised if Trigger has a 3rd cameo later on as well since Kengo still does have the Sphere card
With reinforcements and potentially 5 episodes left, I dont think there's enough time to go through the whole Denus saga so I suppose him and Denus Type are movie content

How could "World War I" actually happen in One Punch Man? A social, legal, and military breakdown:
[Credit to /u/shadowii66 on reddit for all his great insight and debate regarding what many, myself included, believe to be an upcoming Superhero Civil War (even if he disagree and argues it won't happen). Much of this will be a rehash of our long in depth discussion, so I will try and summarize.]
#I. What is necessary for a civil war to happen?
(A) Both sides need to be partially justified/have partial public support:
If one side is presented as too unjustified/too univerally hated, then they can't actually fight, example, if the HA or Neo-Heroes attacked the other simply to seize power, not only will society turn on them, but most of their own heroes will refuse to fight on their behalf. Remember, the majority are not soldiers but heroes, they fight for individual reasons, not blind obedience.
(B) One side needs to declare war on the other:
Even if both have justification and at least some public support, one or both sides needs to take the step to act on it, to decide that, else it will simply continue to compete with popularity, funding, and public discourse. They need to take matters into their own.... and destroy the other Association by force.
(C) The majority of heroes on both sides need to fight:
Even if both sides are partially justified and one side makes the daring to declare war, the heroes still need to fight. If one sides heroes refused, it would simply be a coup, a manhunt, or a bloodless revolution and political takeover. Not a real war.
(D) Both sides must rival each other in military power:
If one side has an insurmountable and overwhelming power advantage, the war will end the minute it begins, with one side demolishing the other in a single battle. So the only way a war can actually be waged is if it is competitive, if victory and defeat hang in the balance for each group of heroes.
#II. How COULD the Civil War happen?
(A) Neo-Heroes declare war on the HA on charges of corruption, inefficiency, and endangering humanity:
The Neo-Heroes claim the HA leaders are criminals that need to be arrested for their crimes (and they would be right): money laundering+bribery+monster black market trade/putting a donor's son before humanity itself/nearly all their best heroes defeats by a single human teenager, the hero hunter/heroes like Bofoi and Tornado causing massive collateral damage through incompetence/any heroes who defend the HA are supporting the corruption and criminal collaborators.
The Neo-Heroes march on City A to arrest the HA execs, the "Old Heroes" refuse to let them, an all out battle breaks out. Presumably the Neo-Heroes are driven back (else the HA would fall and the war would be over), maybe the HA launches their own attack on the Neo-Hero HQ, in any case, the war continues.
(B) Either Metal Knight is framed as a villain, or the Organization/Neo-hero ties are made public:
If the Organization can frame Bofoi as a villain, either by having replica Metal Knight drones attack the Neo-Heroes or even civilians, or better yet, frame Child Emperor as a HA terrorist seeking to destroy the Neo Heroes. Since Child Emperor is too smart to eat up the war propaganda of the Neo-Heroes (Edit 1), AND he will be investigating the Neo-Heroes from the inside, which the Organization does NOT want.
But if the Organization/Neo Hero ties are made public? The HA can justifiably say the Neo-Heroes are working for villains, allies of the MA, AND illegal arms dealers/criminals. The corrupt, desperate HA leaders would be all too willing for an excuse to attack the Neo-Heroes, who threaten their very existence, especially by stealing donors and hero recruits. Same scenario of one association attacking the other, just with attacker/defender reversed.
(C) [Argued by /u/shadowii66] A Civil War cannot happen:
The Old Heroes won't fight to protect the corrupt and criminal HA execs.
The Neo-Hero members won't attack other heroes on false charges.
The Old Heroes saved the world from the aliens and MA, so they cannot simply be labelled as criminals and villains to justify fighting them.
[/u/shadowii66 If there are any major reasons I mistated/left out feel free to correct me]
#III. What events CANNOT happen, which would nullify the Civil War?
(A) Blast, Tornado, or Metal Knight join the war:
They are too powerful, and would give the HA too great an advantage. Thankfully, Blast has chosen to remain absent so far, and the other two have been discredited and will likely not take action.
(B) The Organization launches an attack on the world prematurely:
That would unite the heroes against them, and force them to overcome their differences and work together to fight them. Also, the Organization would lose the brilliant strategy of using the Neo-Heroes as cannon fodder to take down the HA/gather battle data on all the Old Heroes+Neo-Heroes+human fighters in general (and maybe have the Neo-Heroes go after Bofoi to force him to reveal his robot army prematurely).
(C) God or the Ninja Leader become public villains too early:
While they very well may be playing a large role on the sidelines, perhaps manipulating the war for their own benefit, and may even show up at the end, there can’t be a main villain too early. They are in a similar bind as the Organization, if they are too open and threaten the world too greatly, the heroes would ally to fight them (though it would still be glorious if one of the battles between several S-Class and Neo-Leaders is cut short by the Ninja Leader showing up and curbstomping all of them in an instant... they wouldn't even know how they were defeated).
#IV. How COULD the Civil War end?
(A) The Hero Association falls:
This is the Organization's whole purpose for the Civil War... to destroy the HA with humanity's own fighters, and also gathering a complete database of all the strength, style, and abilities of every hero. Meaning that even the S-Class will be utterly crushed by whatever perfect matchups the Organization creates to defeat them (not simply mix and matching random monsters like Psykos did). With all the heroes, both Old and Neo, as good as defeated, only Bofoi and Blast (maybe King as well?)(Edit 3) will be left to oppose them. and then... THEN they will strike.
(B) The Neo-Heroes fall:
The Organization's plan fails, the HA remains standing, though obviously greatly weakened, multiple cities in shambles, the heroes even more demoralized and worn out than they were from fighting the monsters. Still beneficial to the Organization, but not the great victory they had hoped for.
(C) A Third Side defeats/unites both HA and Neo-Heroes:
Could be the Hero Name Victims Association, could be the Ninja Leader, could be Blast, could be a disciple of God, could Blast, hey, crazy idea, could be the Organization or Bofoi for all anyone knows. The main issues is that the Third Side can’t take the spotlight til late in the Civil War (preferably when either it is clearly a stalemate or one side is clearly winning/losing). That way the Civil War conflict can actually be fully fleshed out. And either has an army wide reaching and effective enough to defeat both groups, or does not and the heroes on either side align.
(D) The HA and Neo-Heroes make peace:
Errr... possible? But both the HA and Neo-Heroes are hopelessly corrupt in their very structure.... based on support from either opportunistic morally unscrupulous businessmen... or foreign technological civilizations who have their own ends in mind. They cannot accept the degeneracy they both share, deny responsibility for... and accuse the other of having. Even a theoretical alliance in corruption would be doomed to fail sooner rather that, when their usefulness for each other is gone.
#V. What will happen after this Civil War Saga is over?
By “over”, what is meant is simply that the themes and story of the Civil War is fully tied up, that would include, say, when the Ninja Leader returns or the fallout from one or both Associations falling has had its impact. That the Civil War Saga is over, and a new saga is beginning. And the next saga is obviously the Organization Saga. The Civil War, successful or not, is over, there is no more use to be gained out of staying in the shadows. The time has come for machines to overshadow mankind, all the squabbles between chaotic monsters, naive martial artists, arrogant heroes, and greedy mercenaries will be nothing compared to the two greatest military powers the world has ever seen (Edit 2): Dr. Bofoi/Metal Knight, with his legions of mass produced, stockpiled, and obedient battle drones… and the Organizations elite, freshly upgraded, and intellectually genius AIs and cyborgs. Oh, and Genos is there too!
#VI. Final Notes:
Edit 1: Child Emperor explicity stated he doesn’t trust the Neo-Heroes and wants to keep an eye on them.
Edit 2: The HA, MA, and NHA were all mostly dependent on random, biological prodigies. Which is great in the short term, they collected the best fighters they could find available and put them to work doing what they do best. However… they can’t actually produce talent reliably (even Psykos was lucky to get Orochi and then Garou to grow exponentially, just as the HA was lucky to get Genos). Whereas Bofoi and the Organization? All the need is data, raw materials, and time… and they can produce an army. And they both have had plenty of all three.
Edit 3: The Organization may decide that King is purposely hiding his fighting style, therefore they don’t seek him out... and lo and behold, he doesn’t come after them and wipe them out!

Not All Powerful Female Characters are Warriors: Okami
Okami is a video game that I was exposed to back in college. (My friends were computer game majors.) And I was introduced to it by my roommate who had been following the development of the game for a long time. She adored the game since it featured a wolf as the lead. (For once, a reason for the silent lead to actually be silent! Woof!) We were both lovers of all things Japan and the game's art style was in Japanese ink painting. Which, if you know anything about gaming, 3D realistic was the way to go even back then. Clover studios tried it and didn't like the results. (To put this friend into perspective, she also loved SMT: Digital Devil Saga, the RPG where you play part demons that can eat enemies. Yes. EAT. But that was also based on Bhuddism and Hindu Mythology sooo..)
Okami was about Okami Amaterasu and her fight against the minions of Yame in order to cleanse and defend Nippon. The story line too many of the stories and legends of ancient Nippon (and before) and wove them into a cohesive story about Amaterasu and the people she was helping. The goal of the story was to earn praise of the locals by helping them, cleanse the land of cursed zone and solve logic puzzles, oh and fight monsters. Lots, and lots, and lots of monsters. As Amaterasu progressed through the game and overcame challenges or inspired the people of Nippon, she would regain her 13 powers of the brush.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evRYEFzAY8w
With the brush, you could 'draw' on the screen using your controller to do magic spells. These magic spells ranged from restoring/mending objects, growing plants, moving water/fire/lightning/ice, walking on walls and slowing down time. This was a really innovative style of game play at that time and inspired other games.
I always felt that Okami was a game that not only would appeal to boys (most game studio's target demo) because of the fights and the bosses, and also to girls because of well, the pretty graphics, the style of game play (at least the first half of it) and the multiple female characters. Though it's not for children. (Sake, bouncing boobs, and so on and so forth.)
Amaterasu, the silent wolf lead, is well, a female, based on the Japanese Goddess of the Sun, Amaterasu with her divine mirror and beads. (The third divine weapon was the sword, which also had significance to Amaterasu in Japanese Mythology.) There were also several major female characters throughout the game that were important, even if they weren't all warriors. Female characters don't have to be warriors to be strong characters and strong women.
Kushi's bravery to face Orochi and her sake brewing helped Amaterasu and Susano (a male warrior) defeat the 8 headed dragon. Himiko and Otohime were two Queens whose bravery, abilities and willingness to sacrifice themselves for a cause they believed in, helped find Oni Island and allowed Amaterasu to actually get there. (Otohime did this while pregnant too. Multiple props to her badassery.) There was a female villainess and despite the fact the game has been out for 10 years or so now, I don't want to spoil it for you! Just to say, that she is there and man does the game keep you guessing. Then Kai and Lika in the last arc are important in helping Amaterasu navigate the forest of confusion and keeping Nippon from turning into a frozen wasteland. Plus, there were other female characters that Amaterasu helped too, Princess Fuse, Moon Maiden Kaguya, the Sasa Sanctuary daughter and so on and so forth.
Yes, they were all supporting players. Without their help, and prayers, and belief, Amaterasu wouldn't have been able to succeed in her quest.
The end of the game in the fight against Yame (who was a big ball, sigh, what is it with the Japanese...) there was a large emotional pay out because of the structure of the game and all the work and help Amaterasu had provided to the people. (In order to level Ammy up, you had to get praise to increase health, ink pots for magic, lives and increase the money pouch.)
I was really sad and upset when Capcom closed Clover Studios in favor of making another Resident Evil rather than Okami 2 that they'd clearly set up in the end of the first game! Because, I wanted more cleansing, helping people and earning praise shenanigans.
That's the upside of Okami.
But there is a downside to the game. It's long. I mean, it's long. Don't start unless you've got 40 to 60 hours to put into it. There are a lot of side quests and a whole bunch of collectibles to find. And yeah, you need a lot of money in order to get some of the higher level magic spells and divine instruments and fighting techniques, so you will be doing a large amount of fishing and minion fighting.
And because it's long and because they spaced out getting the brush techniques. It's A) easy to forget the earlier techniques and when you need to use them. And B) the later techniques and even some of the middle techniques aren't explored to their full potential. Ice in particular and even Wind falls into this category.
The second half of the game also becomes less about restoring the land and more about dungeons and monster fighting which makes it less innovative and more like every other platformer game out there ever. In fact, the last third of the game, the Northern arc after Ninetails and before going into the Ark of Yamato, is mostly exposition. I mean lots of boring, repetitive, exposition, where they tell you the same things at least three times. The first 2/3 of the game, they spend that time having you "relive" the story and hand holding your way on what to do next in Sei-an City. (Kusa Village is also unmemorable despite being between Kamiki and Sei-an.) The last 1/3 of the game, forget hand holding (trying to figure out what to do next can be a bit of a chore and it's a bit jarring) and the tale of the Ark of Yamato gets told, over, and over, and over. ENOUGH ALREADY. I GET IT.
I mean, sure the stump city of the Poncles was great and going back in time was sort of fun? (Except this means you defeat Orochi 3 times in the game. And let me tell you, he's not that interesting of a boss.)
Thus, I tend to forget the second half of the game. It's annoying. It's boring. I dislike dungeons and racing clocks. I spend too much time facing bosses that I've already defeated. Can I please go back to clearing cursed zones and making cherry trees BLOOM?
Despite this, I do love the game. I think it had a lot of potential and really did break some boundaries of the way games were made and stories were told. It was also beautiful. Don't let the video fool you. The PS2 version wasn't that fuzzy. If it had been that fuzzy, it would have been unplayable.
They did make a digital HD download of Okami for PS3, which is too bad because I prefer hard copies of my games. (Just a quirk.) Otherwise, in order to play it again, I will have to open and set up my PS2. Fortunately, the let's play on Youtube reminded me why I won't be bothering anytime soon. (Even if I did yell at the screen a lot at the player.)
If you have the time for it, love Japanese legends and lore and enjoy platformers. I do recommend Okami.

The King of Fighters '97 for Sony Playstation. It arrived yesterday and with the arrival of this the only missing piece of my collection from main series is 2003. This one is one of my definite favorites from the series, especially with great endings for Orochi Saga. No BGM for some stages is an odd choice but overall it's one of the best fighting games ever made. #kingoffighters #thekingoffighters #kof #ioriyagami #kyokusanagi #orochi #fighting #arcade #snk #neogeo #snkplaymore #sony #playstation #playstation1 #playstation1 #ps1 #psx #psone #retro #gaming #collection #videogame #videogames #game #games #retrogame #retrogaming #retrogame_feature #retrooyuntopluluğu https://www.instagram.com/p/B7DUjFsnvNU/?igshid=ooxf83xs9won

The king of fighters 98 artwork
Tumblr media
#THE KING OF FIGHTERS 98 ARTWORK SERIES#
In short: OH YEAH there’s a lot to do here. As if all of that wasn’t enough, you’ve also got Neo-Geo Mode, or, in other words, you also get the original KOF98 as a playable title on the disc in addition to this remade version, in case you want to play the older version of the game (or never have). You’ve got Endless mode, which is Survival Mode, basically, Practice Mode, which lets you practice move combinations and such, Gallery Mode, which amounts to a gallery of stills from the various earlier games, and Challenge Mode, which lets you take on various challenges (beat these characters with this character, do this combo, etc.). You’ve got single character play, with the same above modes. You’ve got the classic Arcade style three-person team play, either in tournament, versus another player, or versus the CPU for one match. That said, the game modes more than make up for that. So, okay, KOF98UM doesn’t come with a story built in, as it’s a “Dream Match” title, and as such is more about the idea of getting a bunch of characters together and letting them beat the crap out of each other. King of Fighters ’98 Ultimate Match is a strong reinvention of the original decade-old title, featuring a whopping sixty-four characters (IE pretty much everyone from KOF ’94-97 and a bunch of alternate versions of characters), new moves for old favorites, and a ton of stuff to do, and any fan of fighting games NEEDS to own this, especially considering the low, low price tag of twenty dollars. So leave it to SNK to re-release the game and make it BETTER. In short, it’s generally considered one of the best KOF titles ever, and could well be considered one of the best fighting games ever, period. It’s also a “Dream Match” title, meaning there are a metric ton of characters in it, for those who love their variety.
#THE KING OF FIGHTERS 98 ARTWORK SERIES#
This is not to say that the games post-98 are bad, however, so much as to note how fantastic a product ’98 was from ’94 to ’97, SNK had been experimenting with different styles of visual and gameplay elements, trying to find styles that clicked, and by the time ’98 came around, it pretty much set the gameplay tone for the next several games in the series until ’03 came along, as most of the later games are derived in large part from the strides made in the first few games. The original King of Fighters ’98, which is itself now celebrating its eleventh anniversary, marks the point, arguably, where the KOF series propelled itself over the proverbial man-eating fish it’s more or less a giant collection of characters from the first four games in the series, marks the end of the Orochi Saga, and is essentially the last game before K’ and his storyline took center stage and more or less signaled the downward slide in interest in the series. As such, with the exception of omitting references to importing the game and discussion about the online aspect, this review is functionally identical to the review of the import game, and as such, if you’ve read that, you’ve pretty much read this. The menus are identical, the unlockable content and methods to follow to unlock things are identical, and frankly, the games are one and the same. Note: the US release of King of Fighters ’98 Ultimate Match is functionally identical to the JP release, save for the omission of online play.
