Vasya is a RED Spy from the 1930s, originating from the USSR, from which she escaped and snuck into the United States, working as a… 'freelance home renovator', and by that, I mean she was a serial robber. Her real name is completely unknown, but she frequently writes herself under "Василий Пупкин" or Vasily (Vasya) Pupkin, a sort of 'Jane Doe'. Despite her criminal origins, she isn't intimidating - At least not traditionally so - Shes rather friendly… overly friendly. In fact, she’s a bubbly ball of energy, the kind of person who would probably offer you a cup of tea right after lifting your wallet. She doesn’t always treat her contracted missions with the seriousness they probably deserve while employed at Mann Co. (How she passed the interview is anyone’s guess! …If there was even an interview, she might've just waltzed in.) Her lighthearted approach can be a blessing when tensions run high… but it’s also a bit of a curse when you realize she’s using that charm to distract you while she “borrows” your favorite watch. Whoopsies!!

Ned, formerly Frode but renamed after receiving his class title, is a middle-young trans man with black hair and brown eyes. Before The Incident he lived a quiet yet laborious life in a village called Selbyen, catching and selling fish in his own little shop (only 8kr per kilogram, what a steal!).

Until the quaint village was bought up to let some DUMMIES play glorified goreified catch in the streets of what he once called home — and income. Long after everyone else had been kicked out, he too was asked to move, but he remained resilient, oftentimes chaining himself to the buildings and standing his ground with his trusty harpoon. His willingness to harm and unwillingness to leave left the Mann Co. employees no choice but to offer him a contract to work for instead of against them.

Since then he's been, partially begrudgingly, providing the BLU team with fresh fiskesmørbrød (fish sandwiches), as well as his services in trapping opponents and giving courses on seal feeding and care.

He stays mainly for the money that he gets to send to the family and friends that had to leave the village. However he often catches himself enjoying the company of the weird intruders. Having only ever known the village, hearing stories of the big wide world and the teams past travels calms him and keeps tension and resentment from building. Additionally he gets to learn all about tactical weapon usage, so it's a win-win situation under dire circumstances.

TLDR; Mann Co. buys village grounds, man deranged enough to stay in village, now he gets paid to be deranged.

Just watched the old (!) movie "The Net" with Sandra Bullock. The movie is not a thriller as advertised. It's a fantasy, because a billionaire was held accountable for his actions at the end.
