I genuinely love this so much, I have never seen The Nutcracker before and nor do I know nothing about it, but this cover paints such an incredibly fascinating character it makes me want to see it myself, but I'm scared the version that I see in the song won't be the same as the one in the play/movie/whatever adaptation inspired this lmao

I've been writing up a lyrical analysis in a google doc and I'm tempted to write up my own interpretation of the story and then compare it to The Nutcracker and see how it deviates

Regardless of how different or similar to the original it is, I love the structure, sound, singing and lyrics of this song- even the cover art is great, the entire whole is just so evocative. You clearly set out to make this song about the Rat King and delivered this is genuinely really cool.

Definitely the coolest adaptation/parody of The Mind Electric out there in my current opinion (CJ's 3-part TME is also pretty interesting imo)
