Papercraft commission of Sheena and Zelos from Tales of Symphonia! This one was quite elaborate with all the flying costume elements, cards and lightning magic, as well as interesting facial expressions and poses; I had SUCH a blast putting on the game soundtrack and getting down to work!

Wedding Apple voice project announced

It has been a while since the original story of Ai Tenshi Seiki Wedding Apple wrapped up Tap Novel and since then, there hasn't been anything to really report about the series.

But out of the blue last month, an official Twitter/X account for the series opened. Yesterday, it was announced that a voiced version is underway with no other details available beyond the five love angel voice talents.

All five announced cast members are performers affiliated with MusicRay'n as part of their third generation of seiyuu. Internationally, they're all probably best known for their voice work on IDOLY PRIDE. Their roles in Wedding Apple are as follows:

Asahi Ringo/Wedding Apple: Tachibana Mirai

Naeba Sakura/Wedding Cherry: Hinata Moka

Yukishiro Tsubaki/Wedding Camellia: Miyazawa Koharu

Kirino Ayame/Wedding Iris: Aikawa Kanata

Mukasa Ran/Wedding Orchid: Natsume Kokona

The tag "#ウェプル" has also been adopted by the official account, so there's now an official short-hand way of tagging such a looooong title too (I guess we'd say "Wepple" in English, but err, there's currently no equivalent tag for international audiences).

That's all the news that's currently available, though I'm sure that will change as recording progresses and we get more details about how the project will be released.

While I found Wedding Apple dragged at times (compounded by the story's protracted delivery method), there's definitely a sense of nostalgia looking at the Twitter/X account and seeing the series proclaimed as being by Tomita Sukehiro, "the father of battle heroines".

I really do hope this voiced version of Wedding Apple helps lift the story to new heights and new audiences.
