First we’ve got The Director and Alice McKenzie! (Diralice? Alirector? Wireheart? I’m a sucker for ship names that aren’t just the characters names-), local sort-of-god’s head gets turned into a saw trap and is then forced to go on a Pokémon journey but all the Pokémon are humanoid, ends up with a new found family, a reconnection with two of his creators, a…not sexuality crisis but the romantic attraction version of that where they realized they were Cupioromantic, and got with a robot they found getting tortured in the woods who joined their party, became their co-trainer, risked their life for him, vice versa, and got into so many more shenanigans with.

Only for The Director to die anyway. He was never getting out of this alive. Alice is currently very pissed about that and may or may not be falling back on some old programs that were previously altered…she also has a battle axe.

Peryton and Peacock qpr my beloved (Perypea? Peapecker? Eyecandy?) both originated as sona’s in some way (which is why The Peacock is my profile) and that made it slightly funnier to me when I started thinking “what if they were in a QPR?”

Two gods (+ another god) created sort-of-gods and now they do stupid shit together like sell drugs and rob another drug dealer while one of their creations tries to make sure her children don’t follow their example. And then one gets kidnapped by the void.

Speaking of the void-

The Canary Wives (…look The Canary’s name came from a Crane Wives song I might as well-). They are so in love it kept one of them from fading and the other was so broken up about the death they could barely function. It’s healthy when they’re together but they may love each other a bit too much, considering one turns to alcoholism when the other is gone and the other erased their memories of their death and everything else…

Ok I have no clue what counts as healthy or not. This probably isn’t it though.

the realisation that the concept of a canary in a coalmine is the inverse of orpheus and eurydice has hit me. there is a guide and there is a follower. there is love and there is danger. devotion leads to failed rescue. orpheus lives, but loses his love forever. the canary dies, but saves its follower. theyre the siblings of being doomed by the narrative. the same but different. anyway..

I loved this concept of a Life Series - Crane Wives crossover ever since i first saw it, and wanted to do a little one myself! With my username being canary as well as being based off this song, i thought it’d make sense to do it first, if i do more!

SO what if the canary curse didnt transfer to lizzie, because maybe she was in the void? It transferred to MUMBO, due to his deaths always (until Wild) being after jimmy.

I also say this because for some reason Mumbo's pov felt a lot like Jimmy's limited life pov (the last time he had the canary curse before it supposedly broke)

like just the sheer desperation in him just reeekss of Limlife, though that's also because this season is built like limited. BUT ALSO MUMBO HAD LIKE AN EXACT DEATH his second to last death was FALLING FROM AN EXTENSION OF HIS BRIDGE TO THE GROUND WHILE LAUNCHING A TNT MINECART!!!! practically the exact same as Jimmy's last death in limited. not to mention that Limlife esq desperation i talked about earlier is like REALLY exemplified by mumbo's last death

Being so desperate to stay alive that he wasn't looking where he was standing when he put the tnt in the accelerator....
