She still thinks of herself as a Princess.#But this...this isn't where she belongs (this isn't where she wants to belong)#She's awkward and bossy and intense. Her social skills are near The-Beach level of nonexistent. She also holds some resentment towards Ursa.#Meanwhile Zuko adapted to Kyoshi. Ursa tried to erase her past completely and thus became Noriko of Kyoshi wholeheartedly. Azula rejects it.#But Zuko accepted both parts of himself. He's in a better place than in canon. He's still angry and moody and reckless—he's Zuko after all.#He had support and love and validation. Not everything is perfect—he's a mess and doesn't love himself much—but he also knows who he is.

I am not saying that zuko is sokkas substitute for kya. or they look in any way similar! The whole concept here is that something was happening at the moment, be it how they were laying in bed, how the hair pooled over the pillow, or how sokka was able to hold onto it. It just brought sokka back. It triggered a memory, and suddenly he relived a brief memory. Making him suddenly miss his mother again. hope you enjoy!

I love Zutara as much as the next girlie, but I think people romanticizing Zuko catching Azula's lightning in the Final Agni Kai are doing Zuko's character a massive disservice. He would have done that for anyone. Not just anyone in the Gaang, anyone.

He did it for the division he ended up getting burned over. He did it for his subordinate that was going to fall to his death after the ship was struck by lightning. He did it for Lee, when he was kidnapped by Gao. He did it for Iroh, when he confronted his dad and tried to break him out of prison. He did it for the whole Gaang at the Western Air Temple. He did it for Sokka, Suki, and Hakoda at the Boiling Rock.

His whole character revolves around saving everyone else first. Hell, he tried to save Zhao of all people! There's no way that would have gone well for Zuko if Zhao had actually taken his hand. He always does what he thinks is right first before considering his own safety.

Zuko always saves other people. Even if, especially if, he can't save himself.

Outfits for zu spending some quality time in ba sing se

Some insight on my hcs for these outfits down below >:)

i first started this sketch it was just me trying to put fem zu on cute kimonos but i kept having new ideas

the 1st one is adult zuko visiting iroh in the earth kingdom. i designed the patterns around fire lilies >:) bc of the unhealthy amount of zukka fics i read where sokka called him fire Lilly fai so itd prob be a gift from him...

The hair pin only loosely attached bc he’s in vacation??? He’s not abt to go all in in w some over complicated hairstyle

The 2nd would be set on book 2 after they opened the jasmine dragon where iroh had some extra money and decided to get his nephew a lil gift.

I mixed up some stuff I saw on Pinterest for the kimono. The colors are brighter and more varied to like the clothes you’d see ppl for the upper rings wear. Also my favorite detail! The lil jasmine hair pin.

I would tag it another 🏳️‍⚧️fem zuko post but I like this scenario in general so take it as you will 🫶🏽

Currently amused by the idea that Aang is a delinquent. Forget punk or prep, he has tattoos, he's constantly destroying public property, he's encouraging kids to run away from home, he's homeless, he has no qualms about lying or stealing, has gotten into street fights, skips school, acts out in class, and he has canonically gone to jail and made friends with the criminals there.

Short of drug use, he is the textbox definition of a delinquent, he just hides it with how fucking cute he is.
