Happy Holidays!!! ft. I'll also use this post to thank everyone who supported me and interacted with any of my works this year. And yes, even if it's just once! A lot of stressful things happened to me this year, but I'm still thankful for the year because I got to meet a whole lot of wonderful people who share the similar brainrots for OCs as me, whether ur a friend, mutual, follower, anon or any other user at all. Of course, I'm also thankful for the friends that I also already have from previous years (thank you for still being friends with me ueueueue 😭😭💖✨)

* what would you say is the color palelte/color vibe of cursebreaker??

oh, boy. this is a hard question for two reasons. firstly because i have absolutely NO eye for colour palettes (you should see my wardrobe KSJBDKJ) and secondly because i am frequently inable to choose between colours. they are all so pretty.

having said that, if i'm drawing on a few key features of the fic to create a ✨vibe✨, i've got to say: blue & red & gold & grey. linebeck's coat and the fog and the cursebreaker. and a curdled sort of blood colour flecked with ash.

15. How do they speak? Is what they say usually thought of on the spot, or do they rehearse it in their mind first? Rowley: Rowley doesn’t speak in lofty and sophisticated terms or only ironically, but he is witty, expressive, and creative - with his vocabulary too -, and has a very dark sense of humor. Usually, he finds the right words fast and without thinking about them much, and with the right words I mean the most terrible thing to say in any situation he’s in. People’s reactions to it are highly endearing to him. It amuses him and he shamelessly provokes. He may have saved someone’s life a second before, but you can be sure he’ll make them forget about it right away by offending them in unexpected ways or by painting himself in the most horrible light and even worse than he actually is. ~ Cian: Despite his affinity for bringing himself into the spotlight here and there and to present a small performance, Cian slightly prefers using the written word over using the spoken word. He has more control over ink on paper and time to think through any deep aspect of it before presenting it to an audience. He is not too fond of improvising completely freely and in important moments, he rather overprepares his words or repeats them in his mind before saying them out loud to make sure they’ll have the planned effect. Speaking is immediate and correcting mistakes or wrong impressions almost impossible once they are made. Still, he knows how to sell what he wants to make people believe in most cases, is a smooth talker, and quite eloquent, especially in his areas of interest and if he had time to prepare. He hates being caught not knowing something he is supposed to know (in his opinion or even worse: in the opinion of those around him) and struggles to keep his superior demeanor when embarrassed in this way. As soon as he's relaxed and actually feels confident instead of playing it, he will show a witty and teasing side that comes naturally and he doesn't need to rehearse. Cian tries to appear controlled and either charming or distant while speaking without giving away many emotions. This works well for him unless he is in a state where his feelings overwhelm him too much, then it becomes impossible for him to hide them. His sentence structure shows that he’s sophisticated and educated but he speaks clearly and not overly confusing. Nonetheless,  his way of talking has something slightly theatrical sometimes. He uses profanity here and there, mostly when relaxed and comfortable. – Rarely ever to insult, he has more effective means for that, but just to express strong approval or disapproval, for example. 18. 5. how did you choose their name and why? was it simply based on vibes or is there any specific meaning behind the name? are the reasons behind their name different in- and out of universe?

i go a bit into the silly details and personal reasons behind the name choice here! so ill focus on the in-universe reasons instead 😁

i believe i mentioned this already but marci and his sisters all have names starting with the letter m! it was his moms idea :-) (love it so much when parents have a silly non harmful gag going on when naming their kids... like me and my siblings all have five letter names)

if i wanna go real deep with the in-universe lore... his father wouldve named him máté or márk after the evangelists but his mom was like fuck off you already named our twins from the bible. enough. (the twins are called magdaléna & miriam btw 😋 not sure on this one but the eldest daughters name may be márta)

naming marci is almost the only hand she had in making him

6. what was the thought process behind their appearance? did you go mostly for the aesthetic or are there other reasons they look the way they do?

ummm well. the thing is. im obsessed with redheads 🧍‍♂️ so i immediately knew my guy would be a ginger lol (also the grid lack an actual orange... fuckass papayas) with the freckles of course i love you moles and freckles sooo much

i had some vague ideas before i first sat down to doodle him, like the tired eyes and greek nose plus i knew id want to move out of my comfort zone a little and not give him a gorgeous head of curly hair... thus the buzzcut/short style (which ties back to the naming story lmaooo)

btw the formula ocverse is lowkey built on the first idea is the best idea way of thinking like for a lot of things (names, appearances) i go with my very first thought... absolutely didnt make any variant sketches for his looks but if you look thru all the art ive made of marci so far you can clearly see me finding my way to him, slowly settling into his shapes and such which i find very fun!

i also have a habit of drawing thin lanky people and while marci still heavily leans into that category, giving him a bit more muscular build also has me stepping outside the zone a bit. its also a lot of fun so thats the cherry on top 😁👍

his fashion style doesnt have much aesthetic to it lol but i try to make the team merch look as cool and comfy as possible 🙏 and he looks good in green. and he likes green. and i also like green

Arriving at the building, Kenny is about to open the door when he hears crashing, loud noises and yells. Sigh, What have these idiots done now? He can't leave them unattended for five minutes. On the bright side, there's no smell of fire, ... yet. Taking a deep breath to calm himself, he grabs the door handle and yanks it open. "What have you done this time, fellas?" Looking around, he discovers chaos.
