in order to answer this question i made a diagram. very scientific, of course.

ok but to give this a fair shot xD: really like bones... drawing that guy makes me go hehehe and i gotta maximize the happy because i gotta (mumble grumble) do work and get paid and attend school and all that. also there's so many incredible spirk artists and writers out there who love spirk with all their heart!!! sometimes the smaller ship tags dwindle. can't have that >:33 and then there's the matter of personal preference bc I've always been drawn to "imperfect" ships/learning to love someone even if the chemistry isn't there initially! i don't have too many spirk brainworms bc they feel sorta... Complete i guess? and i feel like the majority of people who like my stuff enough to stick around don't mind/in fact enjoy my multishipping shenanigans so i usually don't consciously draw something for a ship exactly but it sort of just happens loll

but tbf if someone sends in a spirk prompt that really Gets me i'll probably do it! (and i'm ngl there's also the other other factor that i actually don't manage to get to all of my asks 😭 i'm sort of shit at doing them in order in part bc the adhd gets my ass sometimes xDD it's.... heya, sorry for being a bit late answering this, my brain has not been working coherently for the past couple of days

but yes, for real!!! it's really wild how the warm siblings, the ones who unfortunately don't have much content and screen time on them in the movie, are given mostly nice and good characterization, while the cool sisters who have so much screen time and content and backstory to them, are the ones left in the dust and are the ones paying the price that is ooc-ness

like, where is the respect and love for them too?? genuinely want to scream out loud about this (not to say there isn't any respect and love for them, obviously, because there are, but even back then when i wasn't in the fandom and wasn't even familiar with the movie itself, i saw the very obvious attention disparity between the cool family and the warm family, which ofc affected quite a lot of things, like the characterizations for example)

but then again, maybe just as it may seem wild, the fact of screen time could also be the reason as to why the warm siblings have the more or less good characterization in the first place, because the fandom sort of have more freedom to create the characters based on what little is already known from content we have and what they'd personally like about the character

and for the cool sisters, some people either don't like what they saw in the movie (*cough* isa *cough*) or are projected a little too hard on (*cough* mirabel *cough*) or just straight up don't get content in general by the fandom (*cough* luisa *cough*), which led a good portion of the fandom to completely and unfortunately decimate their characters and characterizations

which is. frustrating as hell

AND GOD YES, good content for the madrigal sisters are so hard to find that i am practically on my knees pleading for something that isnt ooc or bashing/hating on them

ngl, im honestly really glad that i joined recently and not during the peak years of the fandom, because i know i wouldn't be surviving back then when the sort of disparity was likely worse 😭

sigh, trying to find good content is so hard and frustrating

"Will you stop acting like a maniac," Potter said, waving him away impatiently. "I did think it through; I was just making sure you did, too. It's not like we have another plan, anyway." And they didn't: they had to go to this function as a couple so that people would think Draco had horrible mushy feelings for Potter and so that their target, if all went well, would kidnap him instead of Granger or one of the Weasleys.

Draco may have been a little hasty to suggest this particular plan, but Potter seemed none the wiser. It was fine. It wasn't as if he was protesting.

"All right," Potter said. He wrapped his arm around Draco's waist, splaying his fingers possessively over his abdomen. His grip was steady and warm. "Ready?" Draco swallowed.

"Obviously," he said coolly, slinging his arm over Potter's shoulders in return, and they opened the doors together.

"We were comfortable telling you before," said Potter, because he was completely terrible about these things and very easily done in by guilt. "We just—it was so new."

So new, Draco mouthed incredulously, and this time Potter elbowed him. After a few more minutes, she got dragged into a debate about charm theory with Astoria, leaving Potter and Draco alone and out of earshot of most of the party.

"Well," Potter said, awkwardly. "Looks like we might have to, um. Keep at it, then."

"Keep at it," Draco repeated, and then he laughed, the noise a bit choked and hysterical. "Yes. Fine. Let's keep at it. And just to get a little more convincing—"

Well. They're all very stubborn. They hate being told what to do and they don't particularly like the idea of changing their ways. It's their body after all, they don't understand why these other guys won't just let up. It's not like he did a good job with his time or anything, so he should leave it to me. I may not have done amazing but I will! I don't want to leave things in his hands, who knows what will happen.

That way of thinking makes self help books REALLY hard, because they all want to be right and differ juuuust enough to butt heads. They can't settle on a host, nobody wants to listen to anybody, why should I work with you? Look what you did with your time.

However, they all like to learn. They also all like to Figure Out. My answer to this question is nonfiction (how-to books, historical books, political books, etc) and mysteries!

Haise isn't quite into super mopey gorey stuff like Kuro is, so finding the right mystery can be tough. Add a good romance or some lively enough humor and they can find middle ground!

I like to think of them in a book store or library, looking over hundreds of books trying to appease as many of them as they can. This one's too childish. I don't like the tone of this one. Another one with a ghoul plot twist, yawn. This one has romance! Is there a sex scene? Because I don't particularly want to read that - especially not with you. We're all basically the same guy! Don't make it weird! ...But yeah I don't really want that either...

HELLO ANON! I am here to inform you that he did not only eat cake threateningly, but he also drank milk threateningly afterwards!! Here’s some pictures of these scenes for you sksksks:

Honestly I think the way he made it threatening was just, he was in this woman’s house, and she had just made the cake and then he just took a slice without asking. The same with the milk too, he opened the cupboards, found a glass, and took the milk out of the fridge - all without asking. Combined with intense stares, but also a general air of not caring about what the woman was saying, it was very effective.

Oh and in a later scene he eats an apple threateningly too!

You can hear them looking for you, tugging on floor-length curtains, digging through closets, and checking under beds. With each failure to locate you, they draw closer... and closer... until they're in the room with you. You huddle closer to the ground, hands clasped over your mouth to stifle your breathing, and wait from behind the wardrobe -- You're wardrobe.

"Hm... Not here..." You hear Hollond say softly. You can imagine them looking around ponderingly, knuckles pressed flush to their angular chin. "Where, oh where, could our Sweet Pea be?"

"Did you find them?" Another voice asks. It's accompanied by the heavy footsteps of, Galeon. No doubt he was looking in all the previous places you've hidden.

"Nope. Seems they've vanished. Oh dear..."

"Huh, well they have to be here somewhere. Surprised they weren't in the cupboard again. They're lucky I got hungry or they'd still be in there munching on cookies." There's a long silence, one that denotes the affectionate, but flat look that Hollond probably gave him. "What?"

"Nothing, beloved." There's shifting and you just barely see your blankets get tossed to the end of your bed. "I suppose we'll never find them. They're just so good at hiding and so clever. Whatever will we do?"

You brighten up. You are, indeed, very good at hiding!

You hear Galeon sigh as he sits on your bed. It groans under his weight and you can see the top of his head as he flops down across it. "Our poor, MC, so good at hiding, never to be seen again..."

"Our dear, sweet, child... Hiding so well... Alas!" Hollond's voice hits a high note, and you see Galeon's eyebrows shoot up to his hairline. You hear a soft thud, a small blue hand falling into view in a tangle of blond hair. "Gone!! Missing!! Oh, the horror!! The Tragedy!!"

Another bout of silence falls, this time you can see the twitch of Galeon's ears. You feel a giggle building in your chest, threatening to give away your hiding spot. You suck in a deep breath and squeeze your mouth shut until your jaw aches.

"Does this mean I get MC's toys now? That train set looks pretty cool..." You blink, the thought of Galeon, a man larger than a mountain, sitting on the floor in front of your wooden train set is... too funny. The giggle you tried to suppress bursts free as you imagine the man making train noises.

"Oh my! What's that sound?"

"Is that...? MC!"

Two faces slide into view. Hollond leans in from the side of the wardrobe, their hair mussed and stuck to their mouth while Galeon peers down at you from over the top with a bright smile and gleaming eyes. He lifts a hand, waggling one of your toy train's cars at you. You feel something warm and heavy in your chest as you're coaxed out from your spot. As you step out, Galeon takes it upon himself to lift you up towards the ceiling.

"You've returned to us! You almost missed..." He casts a sly glance at Hollond and lowers his voice, "Snack time."

"Another one?!" Hollond shouts in return. You giggle as the giant runs off with you, tucked over his shoulder, the blonde hot on his heels and sputtering. "Galeon Hughes--"

The two devolve into a playful banter with you at the epicenter, giggling.

apologies for the late reply, i was confident i had posted this already lmao.

from a reader's perspective, i love them! they're a lovely segue into loads of cute activities, cozy domesticity and all the emotions. because of that, i don't think that it's even necessary to love christmas in order to be able to enjoy christmas themed media of any kind, really. but i personally also just enjoy cute stuff in a festive setting.

i couldn't possibly reply to this without mentioning cheating at bingo and other christmas traditions by @wanderingblindly because it's one of THE comforting, heartwarming christmas fics of all time and also the fic liquid was working on at the time we started talking!! so it's very special to me.

This is wishful thinking, but I really want Mor to have a political career to be the change she needed when she was younger and run against her father. That said, it's hard to be silly on the timeline when she's trying to be taken seriously.
