All jokes aside, I'm genuinely curious, because predators are generally pretty averse to taking risks, and a centipede is very risky prey. By which I mean that's prey that only has to turn and fight back even once to kill the spider. Most predators would go look for something that's less trouble and less likely to get them killed.

Which might mean that spider has been quite a while without a meal and is very fucking desperate (because there's not much else that would compel that kind of risk-taking).

Just watched a spider try and fail to spin a centipede. Best wishes girl

Different centipede species can have as few as 30 legs or as many as 300, but are there any species with exactly 100 legs? And if not which ones come the closest to 100?
