"you owe me a moon cake."
A soft sigh escapes his lips as his gaze flickers from the Watchtower monitors to her face. He had snuck the snack in intent on eating it himself. Despite his skills, and despite the effort to go unnoticed, her eyes are as keen as ever. Using a knife to cut the mooncake in half, he plucks his half off the plate before pushing her half over toward her. "Best I can offer you is half." She's not the only one that enjoys mooncakes, after all.

Wing Danny AU + DCAU
It happened after the Portal had shocked him that Danny started to grow wings on his back. His family, like the rest of Amity Park, was not sure what to say and just accepted that Danny had awakened his metagene.
His family seemed to be happy; Jazz started to read books about birds and, with Ms. Teslaff's help, tried to teach him how to fly. Only a few in the city thought he had died and become an angel, with his halo of white hair and white wings, but that was only a small group.
Danny's life was going pretty well, he would say. The town accepted him even with his change, and his parents did not think he was a ghost.
Everything was going pretty well, but then the Gordanians came, mistaking him for a Thanagarian child and attacking him, wanting to kidnap him for ransom or something similar. Thanagarians are pretty protective of their hatchlings, unlike the strong Gordanians who allow their young to join them in war.
Danny let himself be kidnapped as he could see space! His parents did not know about it, but his friends did. He returned after one week to Amity Park.
They never learned about all the chaos and destruction Danny had caused the Gordanian race and army, and how the Thanagarians and their allies finally defeated them.
Danny is now a hero for the galaxy against the Gordanian Wars, and they want him back with them.

TimKon PANIC please!!!!
“Repeat that,” Tim says slowly. Kon gives him a defensive look.
“I panicked, okay?” he repeats.
“And ‘panicking’ meant you decided to kidnap . . . how many kids, exactly?”
“Rescue.”
“Right,” Tim says. “Okay, so . . . you ‘rescued’ how many kids, then?”
“. . . I didn’t count,” Kon lies. Tim rubs at his temples for a moment, then looks towards the Titans Tower common room that is currently spilling over with toddler to preteen-aged clones of way, way too many assorted superheroes with a genuinely alarming array of powers. Just–way too many. There’s at least one Atlantean, definitely a couple of Amazons, a whole mess of Martians, a preteen “Nightwing” and “Starfire” who won’t talk to anyone but each other and Kon, too many speedsters to count and a whole flock’s worth of Thangarians, and a blonde toddler that Kon has been very careful about not letting scream.
Oh, and also a couple of sassy and unsettlingly cheerful little boys with black hair and blue eyes and genuinely alarming IQ scores who look just about exactly like Bruce’s baby pictures. Can’t forget those two, for sure.
Tim would be less weirded out by that one if the little Green Lanterns hadn’t decided the baby Batmans were their favorites and semi-adopted them, probably. Like that one’s just weird.
And he’d be way less weirded out in general if Kon wasn’t currently holding what is, undeniably, a sassy and unsettlingly cheerful little boy with black hair and blue eyes and genuinely alarming IQ score who looks just about exactly like his baby pictures. Also there’s a pair of blonde demigod eight year-olds and a few more speedsters hanging off him. But mostly it’s the “exactly like his baby pictures” baseline human that’s weirding Tim out right now.
Which is . . . not the ideal reaction to be having, he’s aware, so he just . . . exhales, and then pulls out his phone and opens a new spreadsheet.
“Okay then,” he says. “First things first: inventory.”
Kon looks relieved, then grins brightly at him. Tim half-distractedly wonders if there’s any little demi-Kryptonians anywhere in this mess, and then feels very embarrassed about his own reaction to that idea.
In his defense, it’s bad enough that Kon’s holding specifically the kid that looks just like him right now.

Heroes & Villains The DC Animated Universe - Paper Cut-Out Portraits and Profiles
Hawkgirl
Shayera Hol was a former lieutenant and espionage agent of the imperial world of Thanagar. She was dispatched to earth so to gage the planet’s strengths and weaknesses in the event that Thanagarian forcers were to choose to annex the world into its empire. While on Earth, Shayera posed as the heroic Hawkgirl and was among the heroes amassed by J’onn J’onzz to fend off the invasion by the alien Imperium. Following the defeat of the Imperium, Hawkgirl was offered a place among the newly formed Justice League. She accepted and became a much valued member of the team.
As a part of the League, Hawkgirl grew especially close with her teammate, The Green Lantern John Stewart. Shayera was secretly engaged to a Thanagarian commander named Hro Talak, yet her attraction to John was so great that eschewed her engagement so to enter into a romance with him.
Not long thereafter, The Thangarian forces made themselves known to Earth. They presented themselves as guardians vowing to protect earth against the threat of the villainous Gordanians. Herein Shayera's role as an advanced scout for the Thanagarians was revealed.
The Thanagarians were never actually interested in protecting earth; their true intentions were to destroy the world so to facilitate a Hyperspace Bypass Channel that was aide their centuries-long war against the Gordanians. The prospect of the destruction of her adoptive world caused Shayera to betray her people and aide the Justice League in fending off this threat.
The Thanagarians were forced to flee earth and abandon their plans for the bypass channel. For her part in their defeat, Shayera was banished from her home world and marooned on earth. The Justice League remained uncertain if Hawkgirl could ever again be trusted and convened on a vote to determine whether or not she should remain a part of the team. The outcome of this vote was never revealed as Shayera voluntarily resigned herself from the League.
Shayera found refuge in the secret citadel of the mystic known as Dr. Fate. She would eventually return to the League and once more became a valued member of the team. She and John ultimately reconciled and in the future the two had a son who would go on to become the hero and future member of the Justice League known as Warhawk.
Actress Maria Canals proved the voice for Hawkgirl with the heroine first appearing in the second episode of the first season of Justice League, ‘Secret origins Part Two.’

It's sad that the Hawks have hit such a slump Post Crisis at DC especially once you read their older stories. The two of them were utterly devoted to each other and were equal partners. A true battle couple. Even early Post Crisis, Hawkworld was an amazing read and could have done for the Hawks what Year One did for Batman and Man of Steel comic did for Superman. It was DC's insistence of setting it in the present that screwed over the characters history.
I think the best solution for the Hawks would be to have two sets of Hawks:
-The Reincarnation Hawks: Carter Hall and Shiera Hall who are lovers reincarnated to save the world from the evil Hath-Set. An ancient Thangarian landed in ancient Egypt and falls in love with an Egyptian Princess but are backstabbed by a jealous priest kicking off the reincarnation cycle. In the 40's Carter becomes Hawkman while Shiera suits up as Hawkgirl and is the first female superhero in-universe as she is publication wise.
-The alien Hawks: Katar and Shayera are two Thanagarian peace keepers born to two different classes. Katar is born to the upper caste with his scientist father. While Shayera is born to the slums in a much lower caste. Their love transcends the rigid caste system of the Thanagar and they defy Thanagarian laws and find peace living on earth.
The similarity in their names is because Katar's father visited earth during the Golden Age Hawks time and was inspired by them. As established in Ostanders Hawkworld run. He may have known Shayera's parents as well. In the comics, Shayera Thal took on her mothers name who was also named Shayera Thal. In the Hawkworld comic, she was similar to Kiera Knightly's character in Star Wars; a body double for the royals, meant to die in her place.
Ideally, Hawkman/Carter Hall would be the primary lead in a Hawkman book dealing with his various reincarnations as well as Indiana Jones style adventures. Hawkwoman/Shayera Hol would be the primary lead in a Hawkwoman or Hawkworld book with her Hawkman/Katar Hol and it would be more of a Star Wars style space fantasy book.
Kendra Saunders would be Hawkgirl. The grand niece of the original Hawkgirl/Shiera Sanders. As in the comics, Kendra would be a girl who was on the verge of suicide. But this time she would be rescued by Shayera and Katar who would take her under their wing. They train her and she takes up the Hawkgirl identity as gratitude.
She would also meet Carter Hall but no creepy reincarnated lovers angle between them. Carter sees her as just a family member of his deceased lover.
Kendra mostly operates on her own but she would be sometimes be guided by the ghost of Shiera Sanders whose voice only she can hear in her head. Kendra would be the lead of the Hawkgirl book. And for a truly deep cut you could have Charley Parker/Golden Eagle as one of her supporting characters.
That's it! Neat, tidy, straightforward. Ever character has a role and a place and does not contradict pre established lore too much.
Also pet peeve I would like to address: in my ideal version Carter is blonde, Shiera has auburn hair, Katara has jet black hair, Shayera has fiery red hair and Kendra has brown hair with slight reddish as a subtle connection to Shiera. Geoff Johns playing mix-and-match with the Hawks hair colours is one of my pet peeves with his recent handling of the Hawks.

Legion of Super-Heroes #5 (Bendis)
Warning, Spoilers Ahead…
The issue picks up where the previous issue ended: the confrontation with the Science Police. Brainiac 5 convinces the Science Police to stand down. Superboy (Jon) is told to finish the orientation packet.
The Legion speculates on why the President of the United Planets sicced the police on the Legion. Is it because of Mordru? Aquaman’s Trident? Imprisoning the ruler of Rimbor in their basement? A combination of all three?
Shadow Lass talks trash about the Invisible Kid. Jacques Foccart, the “Invisible Gentleman” is sick of the disrespect and quits the Legion. Bendis included an actual canon person of color only to have them appear and quit in one panel? Was there a point to this?
Jacques was never a favorite of mine mostly because he was relegated to the back to mutter a random French phrase. I did enjoy Jacques’ role in the “5 Years Later” era. He became a respected leader of the resistance and had an adorable relationship with Infectious Lass. I would love to see more of that Jacques.
Brainy sends Ultra Boy, Dawnstar, and Shadow Lass to find the Trident. Jo isn’t happy because he wants to remain and deal with his father. Brainy tells the group that if they see Timber Wolf, Monster Boy, or Wildfire to grab them. I’m pretty sure we saw either Timber Wolf or Monster Boy a few pages ago. The Legionnaire had the colors of Timber Wolf and the chest symbol vaguely looked like Brin’s. The person’s build was too bulky for Brin and his head had a Frankenstein-type appearance so I’m assuming it was Monster Boy.
Brainy confronts Chameleon Boy on his secret: Reep’s mother is the president of the United Planets. This has roots in previous continuities as Reep was revealed to be the son of RJ Brande’s son (the Legion’s founder and financial backer) in the original version. RJ Brande also served as the President of the United Planets (the reboot if I remember correctly). Bendis may have also taken inspiration form Lyle Norg’s story in the threeboot – he was revealed to be the son of a high-ranking Science Police officer during a SP-Legion confrontation.
Reep says he has a complicated relationship with his mother, but they are on speaking terms. He just wanted to get out from under her reputation.
We turn to Bouncing Boy and Superboy. Chuck reveals his father was trash. Did we know much of Chuck’s parents in the previous continuities.
Jon resumes Computo’s orientation program. We witness the UP President announcing the formation of the Legion of Super-Heroes. Oh, and we discover the President’s name is R.J. Brande. RJ is female instead of male as in the previous continuities, but does gender mean much to a race of shape-shifters?
RJ references previous heroic teams like the Justice League and the Teen Titans. Crav the General Nah and President Omacc of Rimbor aren’t fans of the idea. Is Ommac a reference to OMAC? OMAC, or One Man Army Corps, started out as a Jack Kirby creation. It was not part of the Fourth World/New Gods line but one of his sci-fi flavored ideas like Ben Boxer and Kamandi.
OMAC was radically altered when it was part of the “Infinite Crisis” tie-ins. They were multiple OMAC machine-like beings. Sasha Bordeaux (Bruce Wayne’s former bodyguard) was partially changed into an OMAC. The New 52 had a version of OMAC but I never read it so I don’t know the details.
Does President Omacc or Braal now have connections to OMAC? Do we need another connection to the 20th/21st century?
RJ pitches the idea to Imra, Garth, and Rokk. Garth has no idea who the Justice League is as “They don’t teach any Earth on my planet”. Rokk fanboys out: “The original Superman and the Batman from Planet Gotham. And there was a Thangarian classic with those awesome wings.” Rokk’s knowledge makes sense as he was a big-time 20th/21st century historian in previous continuities.
Garth also notes his planet “barely teach us to read our first language”. I don’t recall illiteracy being a problem on Winath in previous era. Mostly I recall a twins-majority population and a focus on agriculture.
RJ notes Jon Kent invented the United Planets. Do you know how old Jon would have to be to have formed the United Planets? I understand the lifespan of a Kryptonian varies from the different eras but Jon would be ancient. And why are the Legion allowing Jon to view this? Wouldn’t that be an outside source influencing the course of his life? I seem to recall the Legion not telling Clark of his life in the past so they wouldn’t impact the course of his 20th century life.
Rokk, Imra, and Garth agree to form the Legion. Sgt Blokk of the Science Police walks by and Rokk offers him membership. Blokk agrees. I’m not positive he is aware of what he agrees to.
I love Blok, he’s so sweet, gentle, and endlessly curious about those weirdo organic beings he hangs with.
The trio then travels to Colu to recruit Brainiac 5 (Querl Dox).
Brainy agrees and reveals his knowledge of the past heroic era impacts the future. I’m not typing out the whole page of dialogue but I will this quote: “When earth broke into pieces so did its already rebooted and revised history and timeline. Earth could not be more important to us and our survival and yet…it’s all broken. To be translated, interpreted, misinterpreted.”
I could rant on the hot mess that is DC’s continuity but I’ll save that for another post.
Brainy announces Jon Kent is the one to teach them how to hero. Seriously? I understand Bendis was writing the Superman titles at the time but Jon is not at the point in his career where he could be a mentor to other heroes. He’s still a rookie himself
Brainy reveals Jon will be “the one true Superman” Yeah, that Clark guy? He’s nothing!
Jon is overwhelmed after this info dump. Imra attempts to reassure Jon but is interrupted by Brainy announcing: “All legionnaires! They found the Trident! It’s here. Evacuate immediately!”
Legion Roster Formation Order:
Cosmic Boy (founder)
Saturn Girl (founder)
Lightning Lad (founder)
Blok
Brainiac 5
The big change is Blok joining the group immediately after its formation. In the original continuity, he was a late Silver Age/early Bronze Age addition.
Pros:
Rokk the 20th/21st Century historian-fanboy!
Blokk! More child-like than normal but still a sweet, gentle soul.
Cons:
The heavy focus on “Jon the savior”. Bendis is telling, not showing, why Jon is necessary. The only thing Jon has done so far is knock out Crav – which Mon-El accomplished in a previous issue.
Rokk as uncertain leader. He was useless in the Legion-Science Police showdown. Bendis should read the Threeboot to see how Cosmic Boy handles the Science Police.
The story moves at a snail pace. I know Bendis loves the decompression style but this would have been accomplished in less than two issues in the 1980s.
Paul Levitz’s retro-boot run wasn’t great but all future Legion creators should refer to his classic runs on the Legion to see how he seamlessly interwove a large cast with multiple plots and kept the plots moving at a fast pace. He also had great character interactions and defined personalities for the members of the team.

Hawkbat shipping prep
Notes! 1. I, personally, don’t have much experience working with Hawkman’s character. So, though I have studied his wiki page religiously, he may be out of character. Correct me wherever you see an error or something I could’ve done better on, and I will try to keep it in mind in the future. 2. I have many headcanon’s for Thangarian’s and their society (I’m using Kartar Hol, which is why this relevant) these will seep into my writing. Mostly because I think the bird people with wings should be able to fly on their own and should also act and be a little more like bird people, there’s nothing that will stop this. Enjoy it, take the ideas for a spin! Suggest your own if you have them! Let’s have fun with it!
3. I need suggestions. So bad, at the time that I post this, I have such terrible writers block. I need help to deliver to the fandom, dear ornithologists and pathological liars - Or ladies, gentleman, and others. If you’re a killjoy.

and the other thing is.
Danny talks in different language to the League members.
kryptonian with Superman, ancient Greek and Latin with Wonder Woman, Martian with Martian Manhunter, Thangarian with Hawkgirl and Atlantean with Aquaman.
As Danny speaks it fluent he doesn't even notice it if he speaks it.
Due to Danny's dna being messed up thanks to the ectoplasm when taking a dna test it matches with the last person closest to the dna
This leads to danny who is very much maddie and jacks son to appear to be the son of every single justice league member

Earth 489: Alda & Irwin Hall
Through the many life times Khufu and Chay-Era have lived, their union has brought about many generations of offspring. The latest of these Hawk children are Alda and Irwin Hall. Born from their latest incarnations, Carter Hall and Shiera Saunders, the twins were orphaned at a young age by Khufu and Chay-Era’s eternal murderer, Hath-Set. Before he could turn his attention to the young children, however, they were rescued by their uncle and aunt, Hank Hall and Dawn Granger. With no other family to go to, Hank and Dawn adopted the two children, raising them alongside their daughter Esme.
Although they survived the encounter, the trauma at having witnessed their parents death’s haunted them, and they were plagued by nightmares. One night, during such a nightmare, they were visited by Dream of the Endless, who claimed to have been, in a previous life, their nephew Daniel. His father had been the son of Khufu and Chay-Era’s reincarnations from the Golden Age of Heroes, the Thangarians Katar Hol and Shayera Thal, the original Hawkman and Hawkwoman. Having recognized their plight, as well as his connection to them, Dream offered to be an adviser to them on how to conquer their nightmares. The siblings accepted the offer, and were tasked with breaking the curse that had plagued their parents (and Dream’s grandparents) for thousands of years. With a goal in mind, equal in both reward and difficulty, Alda and Irwin located their parents old gear and suited up as the new Hawkgirl and Hawkman. They would later join the third iteration of the Justice Society, led by Helena Wayne.
Notes
Hawkman lore is… confusing. Reconciling everything into something coherent took some time, and even then I kind of cheated by just no addressing some things. Ultimately, Hawkman and Hawkgirl aren't too important to the general lore of this universe, so I can get away with it.
Carter Hall's familial connection to Hank (and Don) Hall is admittedly stolen from Earth 27, another (much more popular) fanmade DC continuity created by Roy Westerman. While I do have some issues with the continuity as a whole (which I won't get into bc I don't want to bash the dude's work), there are some individual ideas that I liked, and Carter's relationship to the Hall family is one of those. Also taken from Earth 27 is the Hall family being black. I didn't mention it in the bio because it didn't seem too important to the lore, but I felt it should be stated.
Alda Hall is based on Alda Hall-Saunders from the Arrowverse comic "The (Ex) Legends of Tomorrow". In it, Alda was just an adorable child, but it was mentioned that in a possible future, she'd be a hero known as Hawkwoman, so I decided to go with that idea. As for Irwin, he's mostly an original character. I decided to give Alda a brother (whose name is taken from Hawk and Dove's dad, and therefore Carter's dad in 489) after discovering a character named Janet Hall, who's the granddaughter of Carter Hall from a story called "Batman & Superman: Generations". Janet is also the granddaughter of Bart Hawk, one of the Blackhawks, but since most of the Blackhawks are still in WWII times, I decided to make her the granddaughter of Zinda Blake instead. I'll explain more when I make a dedicated post for her.

More prompts pt.2
_ Superbros: Danny or Danyal Janus-El, was an expirement on the planet Krypton. Born from a polycule consisting of a Martian, a Thangarian, a Tamaranian and a Kryptonian. The Kryptonians, some of them, considers themselves superior to other species, murdered the Kryptonian and their partners, planning to experiment on the baby. Danyal spends the first 4 years of his life, being an test subject. As the inevitability of Krypton's destruction nearing, the Els save Danyal and send him to earth with their son, to protect Kal-El.
When they, crash land on earth, they are adopted by the Kent's, going by Daniel Jonathan Kent and Clark Joseph Kent. The years with the Kent's are wonderful, while Clark is more a of social butterfly, Danny is more reserved. At the age of 8, Danny gets kidnapped by the Fentons, thinking that some of his powers are part of a possession of a ghost. Danny is disoriented and develops amnesia, only remembering his first name and forgetting the Kents. They abduct him to Amity Park, thinking they saved him from a ghost. He becomes Daniel J. Fenton.
He is more of a loner in this au. The Portal incident still happens but throughout the series, Danny slowly recovers his memories, that after the evil Dan phantom incident, Danny decides that since he has gained his memories again; He makes his way back to the Kents. When Danny comes home, everyone is happy that he returns, he becomes friends with young Lex Luthor, never mentioning that his brother is Superman. Danny stays close to the Kent's farm, and becomes an ice sculptor. He is a reserve hero. In this au if Clark is early 30's then Danny is 4 years older than him, but looks late 20's.
_ Danny's fuckin old: Danny is the reincarnated son of Vandal Savage, Nabu. While part of his spirit rests inside the helmet, the other part was able to keep Danny alive during the Portal zapping and slowly remembers his life before. Danny is most likely the only person to put on the helmet of fate and not get trapped.
_ Phantom to Spirit: Due to time travel shenanigans, Danny gets teleported to pre-founding Gotham. He is the reason why Gotham is cursed. As he and others try to de-cursify it, Danny sacrifices his life to eternally battle the cursedness of Gotham as he gets tied to the city as it's watcher/protector. Decades later, Danny feels a connection to a place he barely remembers as it calls his name.

Internet rumors be crazy, huh?
Like, they're all opposite of what actually happened!
Although, hang on, Hawkgirl's maiden name was Sanders, right? Wonder if that a contributor to the Thangarian thing? Someone conflating "Saunders" and "Sanders", then conflating the Golden Age and modern Hawks?
Stumbled into an online fight over whether SSoV member the Vigilante counted as a Western Hero, and there was a lot of confusion. Some of it was mixing him up with the other, more recent Vigilante with all the TWs, but I was wondering if you could address the following claims? That he was a werewolf, that he was Thanagarian, that he was racist, and/or was a time traveler from the Old West.
First, to answer the broadest question on the table. No, The Vigilante does not count as an old western gunslinger because he's too young to have lived during the actual Old West. His debut was in 1941 and his motif was intentionally playing on the dime novel and vaudeville stereotypes OF cowboys and western gunslingers.
(A sketch portrait The Vigilante himself commissioned during the height of his career. Striking the kind of pose and wearing the kind of things and gunslinger was imagined to wear by the early 40s)
I do know at least the small seed of truth that each of these wild accusations is coming from, though how some of them warped into what you heard is WILD. I'll go through them one by one:
Werewolf: It's not that he IS one, it's that he shot one. One of the most famous and impressive shots the man ever made was during a battle with a lycanthrope. After being pinned beneath heavy stones during the initial scuffle, he used his belt to lasso a nearby gun, loaded a silver bullet into the chamber and ricocheted the shot off the cave wall into the beast using only the wolf's shadow and the shadow of another hero battling the monster as reference points.
Thanagarian: Again, he's not Thanagarian, one would think we would notice massive avian wings sprouting from his back. His association with the Thanagarians is that he was captured during the Thanagarian invasion from some years back and was put through deeply inhumane torture at their hands before being freed by allies. The events have stayed with him making him hesitant to trust the Thanagarian Hawks, though public appearances alongside Hawkwoman suggest that that iceberg may be thawing with time.
Time Traveler: Got the order of events (from his perspective at least) reversed. After WWII the Seven Soldiers became dispersed across time during the final battle with their arch-nemesis. Vigilante spent months if not years in the wild west, making a name for himself as an ironically nameless bounty hunter and gunslinger before being rescued from history by the JLA
Racist; HARD-LY. Vigilante was known to go to bat directly for oppressed communities on his turf. Usually Native Americans, Hispanics, Ex-Convicts and Asian Americans. He sponsored multiple ex-convict societies where his personal vouching allowed former criminals to find well paying work even in war and post war industry. His own sidekick Stuff was of Chinese-American descent making both of them very active in fighting crime in Asian communities in the Southwest and more than once he engaged in tense standoffs with local law enforcement for the rights of tribes and natives. He blew at least one sheriff's toe off when he stepped it over the line of the Crow Reservation in Montana.
Greg Saunders has lived an interesting life. On top of all that there's the obvious fact that his secret ID is one of the most influential country western stars of his generation. As a society (and certainly my discipline) we are lucky he's such a candid public speaker even at this point in his life

So like I was inspired to do a drabble of we don't talk about bruno in the JLU universe. But it's we don't talk about Hawkgirl.
Set this in my au where Shayera left the leauge while unknowingly pregnant with Rex and my hawklantern daughter OC, Eve. In this AU Shayera has adopted the name Sara Hall, uses holographic technology to hide her and her kids wings, and dyes her hair black to match the color of her kids. She does a lot of undercover/tracking/scouting stuff for the leauge "anonymously." It's like Sara does all this information gathering for us but we don't say anything about it. And to Shayera it's her way of trying to redeem herself to her family but also protect her kids.
But anyway Shayera has to do deep under cover mission and leaves the other 7 in charge of her kids.
Rex and Eve want to know more about their mother from when she was in the league, and secretly guess their extended family's reactions should they ever find out their true parentage.
They start with their Uncle Clark and Uncle J'onn, the most netural when it comes to their mother.
J'onn and Clark tense. Clark gently tells the kids. "We don't talk about Hawkgirl."
Rex and Eve push a little harder, and maybe lost their tempers a little bit, which made the their uncles chuckle.
"I haven't seen a temper like that since Hawkgirl," Clark said.
"Temeper?" Rex and Eve looked at each other. Their mother never raised her voice their entire lives, or even shown any signs of anger. In fact the woman was so reserved almost eveyone thinks she's shy.
J'onn snickered. "Be careful, if she heard you say that she would throw you into a wall."
Clark laughed. "You don't think she use her mace?"
That made the twins look back at each other. That wall decoration never left the hooks it was hung up on. They thought it was cermional and had never seen actual combat.
A slammed tray and a pissed Wonder Woman sucks all the amusement out of the room. Their aunt Diana levels a glare at the them. "We don't talk about traitors."
"Diana!" Clark said in warning.
J'onn gives her a disappointed look. "There is no reason to take your anger out on children who were not born when all of this happened."
Tensions and voices rising Rex and Eve back out of the room. Damn it. They knew it was a risk asking. They knew the world was angry at their mother for whatever her part in the Thangarian invasion. They've known about it and the basic details for forever. Shayera never hid it from them for their own saftey. But to have that big of a reaction.
Rex and Eve make it five feet out the door before running into someone else.
Rex and Eve wince. Shit they didn't think of what to say to him yet. "Hi Batman."
Uncle Bruce moves his head in a way that reminds the twins of when their mother raises an eyebrow at them.
"Hawkgirl was given an impossible choice. No matter who she picked she would be considered a traitor."
Bruce began walking in another direction when it hit. The invasion, the reason their mother left. They jog to catch up.
"The Thanqgarians sent her to Earth as a spy to collect information on Earth, and later about the League. When they came Hawkgirl rejoined them and Earth was invaded. She gave them eveything, all our weaknesses filled her reports."
Rex and Eve looked at each other. Their mother was still doing that. Except this time she's helping the leauge.
"The Thangarians built a machine that would help them break the barried the Gordanians used to protect their home planet. It would have destroyed Earth. They told us it would help defend Earth. They told her that too."
"Her own people lied to her." They...they never heard that before. When Shayers told the story she never once put any blame on anyone but herself.
Bruce just kept walking. "Hawkgirl could have let things continue and save her people. Go home where she would be declared a hero for her part in the end of the war. It would have been the easy choice, it should have been her only choice."
"But she chose Earth." The mantra came out so natrually. They don't know how many times they've seen their mother muttering that to herself on those hard days where she could barely get out of bed.
Batman nodded. "She did. She made the harder choice to save an innocent planet that will never choose to try to understand the choices she made. Hawkgirl chose Earth, knowing it would most likely be her prison."
There was an unspoken question that hung in the air.
Do you try to understand? And what would you have done had you been in the sam position?
Diana in her angry state let it slip that Rex and Eve were asking about Hawkgirl to the rest of the Leauge. Rex and Eve have never seen so many adults give the side eye to a pair of 10 year olds.
Why ask about that dirty hawk?
It's not like she's ever coming back.
Hawkgirl would be a fool to even try to return.
Let's hope someone did the world a favor and put a bullet in her head.
It was scary how many of the so called heroes wished for that last thing. Of course it was never said around the other founders. None of them would tolerate it even Diana for some reason.
Uncle Wally was all to eager to talk about Hawkgirl. And was the nicest of any one.
"Hawkgirl was a good person. In the end she chose us and that's what matters." Wally said, pushing Rex and Eve towards the Founders' room. He was irritated, they walked in on another group of heroes bashing Hawkgirl. "If anything she deserves a chance to earn forgiveness. Why does she have to be so good at hidding!"
Walking next to them is John Stewart aka Green Lantern aka Rex and Eve's unknowing father. He was probably the only hero who has said nothing about Hawkgirl.
Their father sighed. "She can come back anytime if she wants Wally. Prehaps she's not ready."
Rex and Eve stopped. "She can come back?"
Wally groaned. "It's been 10 years GL! We've should've looked for her years ago!"
"Hawkgirl can come back?" Rex repeated, loud enough to catch the mens' attention.
Wally nodded, seeming to remember their audience. He's all smiles. "The vote ended with letting Hawkgirl stay."
Rex and Eve stared on disbelief. "Does Hawkgirl know that?"
"Does Hawkgirl know what?"
Well there mother was back.
Eve quick to speak before the adults could stop her. "Hawkgirl can return to the leauge whenever she wants!"
Their mother freezes. Well she didn't know.
She turned to the other founders. "You would really let Shayera Hol back in? After all she's done?"
The whispers must have been getting to all the founders because all of them glared at their mother.
Bruce is the one to answer. "Sara Hall may I remind you that...."
Bruce trails off. "Sara Hall. Sara Hall. Sara Hall." His eyes widened. "Sara Hall."
Rex and Eve watched their mother crossed her arms over her chest. She was getting ready for a verbal attack. "You gonna say something else besides my name Batsy?"
Bruce looked at their mother, like soul searching looked. "Hidding in plain sight Shayera?"
Rex and Eve were placed behind their mother.
Shayera glared at ever last one of her co-founders. "I have my reasons.

Biography:
Kiyera Hol is a daughter of Hawkman and Hawkwoman, who are members of the Justice League prior to the League's disappearance. By some point in an unknown period of time, Kiyera had spent most of her life training in combat after Blackfire invaded Thanagar.
This led to Kiyera's hatred towards the Tamaraneans as a result of the invasion led by Blackfire and Darkseid. By the time Kiyera is now 17, she enrolled into the Thanagarian army and became one of its youngest commanders to have been praised by her superiors for her enthusiasm in battle.
One day, prior to meeting the Titans, Hawkgirl is approached by Wonder Woman (Donna Troy), and Aquaman (Kaldur'ram) who are the co-leaders of the Justice League in Thanagar while prepping for war. The League members invited Kiyera to become a member of the Justice League, since she is almost 18. But Kiyera refuses, believing the League responsible for her parents' deaths.
But changed her mind when her grandfather, B'ran Hol, Katar Hol's father, a retired veteran and Kiyera's grandfather, spoken to her about her parents' honor and choices, and though it may not be easy to make, but sometimes they took the action by any means being in the League to unite the galaxy as one.
Those words changed her mind and Kiyera joined the Justice League for the sake of revenge against Blackfire. The Green Lanterns also see Kiyera as a candidate to become a Green Lantern, but the Guardians disapproved due to her impulsiveness and anger issues.
By the time she joined the Justice League, she heard that Blackfire was spotted on Earth. Kiyera volunteers to hunt her down. But Aqualad refuses, fearing to would cause Blackfire to take advantage of her vendetta. But Kiyera disobeyed this, and led her Thanagarian forces to hunt her down using her position as a commander. But the hunt ended in vain when Ragnar, a red lantern, captured her fellow Thangarians. Kiyera was the last to fought him off until Speedy, Green Arrow, Aqualad, Blue Marine, and Wonder Girl intervene, but Ragnar defeated them all with the help of Siren.
The Void had captured the heroes along with Hawkgirl to be taken as prisoners for tortured or to be mind-controlled by Granny Goodness. And the heroes were taken to the Citadel. They were tortured endlessly until Superboy, Kilowog, and Nightstar rescued them. But also fought the Exterminators from LexCorp, invented by Lena Luthor.
Upon finding out that Nightstar is Tamaranean, Kiyera grew disgusted, despite Nightstar showing no ill-will towards her and tried to befriend her. But Speedy called her out for the discrimination. And Kiyera ignored her. And only cared about revenge against Blackfire and the Void.
Kiyera then grew to keep an eye on Nightstar, in case she turned out to be a spy. But after Ragnar attacked Kiyera as payback for the earlier encounter, Kiyera used all her might but ended up injured. Just when Ragnar was about to finish her off, Nightstar intervenes and saved Hawkgirl. And Ragnar was taken prisoner as he got weakened.
After the ambush, Kiyera asked Nightstar why she saved her, even after she treated her badly. Nightstar responded that whether she hates her or not, they are allies and their one goal is to save the Galaxy. Prompting Kiyera to rethink her impressions towards those she thought of as her enemies. And thanked Nightstar for her aid and even apologized to her to get to know her better.
Personality:
Being born in Thanagar, Kiyera Hol became the pride of the Thanagarians for the sake of taking the pleasure of taking down the Tamaranean empire and the Void for it's injustices. Hawkgirl, at first hated the Tamaraneans for becoming tyrants and aiding Darkseid in kidnapping children and forcing them to serve him against their wills.
Cold, serious and demeanor. Hawkgirl won't stop at nothing to hunt down Blackfire as she was too self-focused. But she also cared for her comrades in her position as commander to the Thanagarian army.
Despite her determination as a soldier, Kiyera is also known to be very impulsive to her own goals. As she was too focused on revenge.
Leading to some problems on missions with the League. After joining the Titans, Kiyera would not trust Nightstar due to her being Tamaranean, and was selfish enough to insult her for her "leader's" actions. And was not prone to anger after telling Nightstar to back off.
But after Nightstar saved her life from Ragnar's assassination attempt, Kiyera begins to have second thoughts about Nightstar. Only then was she very remorseful of her actions. And would try her best to cooperate with her without letting animosity get the better of her.
Her mother's mace is a treasure for her as it was all that was left of her parents. Kiyera would then serve as a trainer of the Titans, being a soldier, she would not hesitate to boss around to help her teammates get stronger, but would have to limit her commands. Kiyera also serves as second-in-command to the Titans and respected Aqualad II as the leader and offers strategy.
Whenever Aqualad steps out for a risky task of politics, Hawkgirl would then take over as leader of the Titans, acting not as a soldier, but a Titan.

Earth 1706 Headcanon Ask:
1) When did Chris and Jake realize they had feelings for each other?
2) do they attend the same school in this version or they like in Earth 4080 have respective schools they go to (Chris attending Hamilton County Middle School and Jake at Bludhaven Academy)?
3) Are their outfits different here compared to Earth 4080 or more or less the same?
4) So in this version, I screw that Zod survives the final battle in his attempted conquest of the Earth. Is her wandering in space all alone like Omni Man after Invincible Season 1 or in the Phantom Zone?
1: when trying to escape a collapsing building (caused by leftover HIVE agents) Jake held onto Chris and swing to safety (he was weaken by kryptonite) Chris put his head near Jake’s heart and felt it “ka-thumped” he madly blushed.
For Jake: Chris hair was near his nose and he sniffed it, smelled like vanilla and coconuts, due to that he madly blushed also
After a few days/weeks: they admitted to each others love due to that ;-)
2:
I say different schools (Chris for Hamilton and Jake for bludhaven)
3: same, can’t really think of new outfits lol
4: hmmmmmmmm
Let’s go with outer space to mix things up
I say for weeks/months he slowly created a “new krypton” by stealing some outer space alien parts (like something from the Thangarians and/or sinestro’s place)
