Drishyam gets Hollywood remake with Gulfstream Pictures and JOAT Films

Panorama Studios has acquired the international remake rights to Drishyam 1 & 2 from the original producers.

The cult franchise Drishyam is all set to go global after garnering massive success in the Indian and Chinese markets. Producers Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak announced the Korean remake of the thriller franchise at the Cannes Film Festival 2023, and now they announce the franchise’s new milestone. Panorama Studios has joined hands with Gulfstream Pictures and JOAT Films to make Drishyam in Hollywood, a first for an Indian film!

Gulfstream Pictures, co-founded by Mike Karz and Bill Bindley, have produced the romantic comedy Blended which reunited Adam Sandler & Drew Barrymore and the workplace comedy Upgraded starring Camila Mendes, Marisa Tomei & Lena Olin. JOAT Films is founded by Jack Nguyen, a film industry veteran and a former Warner Bros executive supervising the Asia region's production business, especially market entries into China, Japan, India and Korea during his tenure with WB. JOAT specializes in cross-territorial local language remakes.

Panorama Studios has acquired the international remake rights to Drishyam 1 & 2 from the original producers, Aashirvad Cinemas. Drishyam is being developed in the US and Korea and a development deal is being finalized for a Spanish-language version. In addition, other countries are being considered.

Kumar Mangat Pathak, Chairman and Managing Director, of Panorama Studios, who has acquired the rights to the Drishyam franchise shares, “Drishyam's clever narrative has a universal appeal and we are keen to celebrate this story with audiences worldwide. We are very happy to collaborate with Gulfstream Pictures and JOAT Films to create this story in English for Hollywood. After Korea and Hollywood, our mission is to produce Drishyam in 10 countries in the next three to five years”.

Producer Abhishek Pathak who also directed Drishyam 2 shares, “We have received immense love from our Indian audiences, who have made the Drishyam franchise a massive success. The strength of Drishyam lies in its story, and we want it to be enjoyed by audiences globally. We are very happy to collaborate with Gulfstream Pictures and JOAT Films, who will take this franchise forward in English for the US and other international Hollywood markets.”

In a joint statement, Mike Karz and Bill Bindley of Gulfstream Pictures share, “We are very happy to collaborate with Panorama Studios and JOAT Films on an English language adaptation of Drishyam. The film is a timeless thriller that has entranced audiences across the globe. We can't wait to bring the movie to fans here in the U.S."

While the Korean and English versions are in the making, the remake of the Malayalam film has had a successful run in various languages, including Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Sinhala and Chinese.

Interesting Title Revealed for the Telugu Remake of Nayattu

It is already known news that the popular banner GA2 Pictures has acquired the remake rights of the Malayalam hit movie Nayattu and began filming a few months ago. Continuing the trend (it's been happening for years, of course, but it feels like it's exploded recently) - a Bollywood remake of a South Indian film - in this case, a Tamil movie (Thadam) that was also previously remade in Telugu (Red).

But whereas some of the others make some drastic changes that apparently really mess with the conclusion (looking at you, Forensic and Cuttputlli), it appears (based on the Wiki article for Thadam) that this doesn't get overly ambitious in making changes. So, overall it flows pretty well.

The movie starts off immediately with the crime - in a way that feels very similar to Malang and Ek Villain Returns. And then, of course, flashback - though, thankfully (I guess), it only takes up half the movie before we return to the scene where we'd departed from.

Simple enough plot: a murder has been committed, and thanks to some lucky coincidence, they have a picture of the murderer at the crime scene. Also, luckily, the head inspector immediately recognizes him (from a previous grudge and desire to nail him for some crime) - luckily, apparently, no one cares enough to say "you're too close to this, so we're going to sideline you" (though, I've seen enough TV shows and movies to know that that never works anyways). Of course, it can't be straight forward - so right when they're about to call the case closed, a guy who is the mirror image of the suspect they have in custody shows up, complicating everything.

The flashback - I sorta get that, and it does eventually lead to an explanation of everything, but also - I'm not sure we needed multiple songs in quick succession. And I understand wanting to build up some backstory, but, it really just sorta hampers the flow of the film. Like, sure, we need to know why the murder was committed, and we need to know that lookalike guy's life isn't perfect and that he desperately needs money, but ... half the movie may have been a bit much. And then you have the extended flashback of childhood, which - while also maybe (though, just maybe) necessary, further prolongs things.

What makes this work, I think, is the acting and the second half of the story (the 'current day' stuff). It'sn't perfect - Mrunal's consistently ignoring her phone is a bit annoying (I don't know why they keep focusing on that); the constantly focusing on a fingerprint that is ultimately never even noticed just seems to further point out the inadequacies of those in charge; and the random attempt to give some sort of creepy personality to the lab tech is just that, creepy - but overall when things get flowing it's not bad. It's just that they've made the decision to interrupt the flow, constantly, with irrelevant side plots (Ronit Roy's personal vendetta, just to give us a weak alibi later; the whole childhood thing, setting up a fight scene; the cop with an apparent phone sex addiction, and his eventual accidental destruction of evidence).

They destroy a lot of glass in this movie. And our hero(es) overpower multiple cops at once, and yet at other times, are easily overpowered by random guys on the street. And the cops are essentially useless - in detecting, in following orders, in solving the crime, in keeping the two witnesses from seeing each other, in avoiding previous biases.

It amounts to nothing in the movie, and this is just my brain going weird, but I'd be interested in seeing this unfold from the point of view of that fingerprint (assuming it did eventually become important). That would be interesting storytelling.

It's not a bad movie - it just does enough damage to itself to keep it from being a good/great one.

Asuran | Dhanush,Manju Warrier| Tamil [Prime]  : A Must Watch- Fair warning not for the weak Hearted, Has some Very Graphic scenes Dark and Gripping Saga about 2 families at war with each other. Vetrimaran has so smartly Merged the sociopolitical issues in the otherwise revenge story.Easily one of Dhanush’s Best Performances if not his finest yet(it is imo and i urge you all to see this to see how Lower classes are treated.It was the best Film of year 2019 Hands down for me. this one Gave me sleepless nights ,shook me like anything and i still shiver when i think of some of the things that have happened here. IF you want to see a BLOODY GOOD MOVIE watch this one.Manju is equally Fabulous as the grief stricken mother trying to keep her other family members safe.

Thambi|Jyothika, karthi|Tamil[Netflix] :From the Director of Drishyam(the original) An edge of seat thriller about a lost brother and her sister’s quest of finding him with humor and family drama included. After Drishyam another Fab family Thriller, Karthi has done a superb job and has shouldered the film well. i wish there was more Karthi and Jyothika Bonding though, Jyo is Good as always too but this one belongs to karthi 

Helan | AnnaBen,Lal| Malayalam[prime}: A very Well done Survival Drama about a girl stuck in a freezer at work place, Major Shoutout to the cinematography and ofcourse anna who’s so vulnerable int he situation yet has this fierceness in her act.

AlaVaikunthapuramloo|Allu Arjun,Tabu,Pooja Hegde| Telugu [netflix] Now this is what you call a complete family entertainer. After ages an allu arjun film which is so enjoyable and entertaining and has an interesting story too. It’s basically about a poor PA switching his child with the Boss’s child and what happens next.My only complaint is why don’t we have more of tabu and Bunny together. full on paisa vasool movie.Heard Karthik aryan is doing remake. plzz are you kidding me with this[so offended]

Sillu Karupatti|tamil| *sara arjun and a bunch of new People lol[Netflix]  Ahhh every story in this compilation of short stories is so real and So Beautiful. This one makes you beleive in Actual Love. Watch it esp for PinkBag(the first story and the 2nd one i forgot the name of)

Varane Avashyamund|Dulquer salmaan,shobana,kalyani priyadarshan|Malayalam[Netflix] This is the one that makes you miss home..leaves you smiling and you don’t realize when you’ve started feeling like you are part of the same apartment complex. again why so little of DQ and shobhana though?:( but yeah if you want to watch a feel Good film watch this one

Kaithi|Karthi|tamil {hotstar}  Kaithi is a tense, impressively shot action thriller It;’s about  A prisoner on parole, who’s on his way to meet his daughter, is enlisted by an injured police officer to protect a few cops. With the entire lot of gangsters in the place after them, can the prisoner save the day? Watch it for some Awesome Action sequences and For Karthi in probably his career best performance. Watch it before bollywood ruins it . i heard they are casting some shit actor for it. so yeah you probably wanna watch it with karthik. i was moved by the father daughter’s bond even though they were strangers to each other

Uyare|parvathy,tovino thomas,Asif Ali|malayalam[netflix]: a poignant tale of courage and survival. Parvathy is On some other High as  pallavi. it’s about an Acid Victim’s determination to be what she wanted to be to find her place in society. Brave Act and a Freaking awesome Movie

Virus|parvathy,tovino thomas,soubin,rima Kallingal|malayalam[prime] This one is quiet relevant in the times of Pandemic too. A film full of compassion  about containing a virus before it ruins too much based  the nippah virus outbreak in kerala recently. Also what An ensemble, Props to asshiq for managing to get that cast on board and then making a brilliant film.

Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal|dulquer salmaan,Ritu Varma|rakshan|tamil[netflix] Two cons fall in love and decide to mend his way and settle down with their girlfriends. But a couple of curve balls, one in the form of a determined cop, are just waiting in store. It works for it’s Twists I Mean  Who expected someof  those twists and Turns?? Watch it for it’s unapologetic nature and Dulquer’s Performance.

Chhapaak|deepika padukone,vikrant massey|Hindi [hotstar] Hah! another Acid Victim survival Film. Yup But this one is Not entirely Fictional. This one is Based on a  real victim. Equally Compelling and Amazing. Deepika is simply At her best as malti. 

Thappad[tapsee,pavail gulati,ratna pathak shah|hindi[prime] A Must Must Must Watch. If I want you guys to watch anything on this list for sure it is This and asuran. This one is What you call a film on true feminism Which speaks about Domestic abuse but that’s not it it has underlying themes of Sexism,unequality . i have raved so much about it. it is SUch a strong take  Shown in a rather tender way minus any big lectures yet it’s hardhitting and soul stirring. WATCH IT LADIES 

Oh my Kaduvale|Vijay Sethupathy,ashok selvan,ritika singh|tamil[einthusan] it’s a Romatic Fantasy FIlm and again what a twist that was barely have seen a desi fantasy film handled & presented  this well and being his enjoyable. Sweet,simple and feel good. watch for the super fun cameo by Sethupathy hehe

Kombalungi Nights|fahadh faasil,shane nigam,anna ben, soubin saher|Malayalam[prime]  The film revolves around four brothers who share a love-hate relationship with each other. Their relationship progresses to another level when Saji, Boney, and Franky decide to help Bobby stand by his love. I didn’t wanted this one to be over. Experience it i won’t say much caz whatever i say won’t be enough so i’d rather not waste yours or my time hehe.

The Hero

I am not the typical, crazy, Rajini fan. My wife is. My friend, Subbu, is. A lot of people are. I have always tolerated them with a smile and a small shake of my head. In turn, I saw them smile back at me with a smaller shake of their head. This went on for a while. But with time, I have realized that some people thouroughly deserve the adulation they get. Rajinikanth, aka Shivaji Rao Gaekwad, lives a life as large as his natural-laws-defying roles and stunts in movies. Here are a few bytes from his life I found worth sharing:

1. As a child, he studied, for a while, in Ramakrishna Math, where "he learnt Vedas, tradition, spirituality" and started acting in plays.

2. His initial film roles were villanous - abusive husband, rapist, womanizer and such.

3. In 1978, the year I was born, 20 Rajini movies were released in three languages - Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. Twenty movies, in one year!

4. Amitabh Bachchan was his role model and inspiration. He worked in three movies along with Big B - Andha Kanoon, Giraftaar and Hum. He played the lead role in Shankar, Salim, Simon (Tamil) and Ram, Robert, Rahim (Telugu) - both remakes of Amar Akbar Anthony and many such remakes - Zanjeer, Laawaris, Don etc.

5. Wikipedia says that Rajini's first commercial success was in 1980, five years after he started acting, for a movie called Billa - a remake of Big B's Don. It also says that Billa was the turning point in Rajini's career and made him a bigger star than Kamal Hassan. There was no looking back from there. I simply hope Wikipedia is right. It is such a great story of hope and perseverance.

6. In 1998, his film Muthu was dubbed into Japanese and grossed US$ 1.6 million in Japan. American magazine Newsweek commented that Rajini had surpassed Leonardo Depacrio as Japan's heartthrob. Imagine!

7. Chandramukhi, one movie I simply cannot stand, was dubbed in Turkish and German.

8. Rajini was paid a salary of INR 45 crores for the movie - Enthiran, in 2010, which has the amazing distinction of being the most expensive Indian film made till that time, and also the second highest grossing film of its time. IIM, Ahmedabad, did a case study on it. Phew!

9. Sometimes, I wondered. But the following statistics shut me up. Rajini has won 6 Tamil Nadu state awards and one Filmfare award. He is a Padma Bhushan and a Padma Vibhushan. He beat SRK for Indian Entertainer of the Year in 2007, and was named one of the most influencial people in South Asia and India by magazines Asiaweek and Forbes respectively. And then I saw Dalapathi, and thought, "Yes, this guy can act." This blog is my humble tribute to the one and only - Thalaiva!

10. This last one is a killer. He met his future wife, Latha, while giving her an interview. During the interview, he fell in love with her. Immediately after the interview, he did not propose to her! He informed her that he was marrying her and left. Rajini and Latha are married for something like close to 40 years. Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan interacted with the media in Chennai on Monday. "People in North embraced Superstar Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan sir, and Prabhas. They love the dubbed Tamil movies on TV channels. I hope Tamil audiences accept me with Dabangg 3 because the film has all the elements they expect in a mass film.

Dabangg 3 has family sentiment, humor, hero glorification scenes, and dance numbers," said Salman Khan.

"Initially I tried to dub Tamil lines on my own and an assistant of Prabhu Deva of okayed all my takes. But later, Prabhu rejected the output as he thought my Tamil wasn't good," added Salman.

"If given the right script, I would like to do a straight Tamil film here and dub it in Hindi. I have done so many Tamil and Telugu remakes in Hindi. This time I thought why can't we release original content with the native flavor in the South," said the actor.

Salman also said that he has been in Chennai during his early days for an advertisement shoot in Fisherman's Cove and a couple of film shoots later he established himself as a hero.

KJR Studios Rajesh said that he is planning to release the film in nearly 250 screens in Tamil Nadu. "We are planning to take Salman Khan sir to the 'B' and 'C' center audiences in Tamil Nadu. It will be his biggest release in the state," said Rajesh.

The movie is inspired     by the 1994 American Film Forest Gump, which was based on the 1986 novel     by Winston Groom. It is coming to the cinemas on 11 August 2022.

Cobra (dubbed) - the movie is     based on Maths, a mathematician genius who goes by the alias cobra and     uses Maths to commit crimes.        

Yashoda (12 August 2022) - this is an Indian sci-fi thriller film set     in the future. Presented in both Telugu and Tamil. The key role in the     movie is played by Samantha.        

Liger (25 August 2022) - The Liger movie is based on a boy that was born and raised in the     Mumbai streets and become a world champion in kickboxing. The actor Vijay Deverakonda would be seen as the kickboxer in the movie, the main     focus is on the key character who is Vijay, and how he set himself on the     world championship. Vijay is a kickboxer in the movie who went from being     a chaiwala in Mumbai to becoming a professional boxer, competing in the     US. The movie is going to release on late 25 August. The film Features Ananya Panday in female lead.        

Godfather     (September 2022) - The     upcoming Telugu movie Godfather is based on a thriller action directed by Mohan Raja.     Godfather is the remake of the Malayalam movie Lucifer and starred the     character Nayantara, Chiranjeevi, Salman Khan, and Satyadev whereas     Chiranjeevi can be seen in the movie as the key character.

If we talk about the country, we know that our country is rich in culture and different religions and casts. Due to this diversity in culture, we have different languages which result to make different regional cinemas such as, for Hindi language films we have Bollywood, for Telugu language films we have Tollywood meanwhile south Indian cinema, and many others. Now let’s talk about Bollywood versus Tollywood cinema or South Indian Cinema.

There are many blockbusters movies that had been released by Bollywood and Tollywood in recent and past years, and many movies were remade whether they are Bollywood or South Indian. If the people liked it very much and the movie will remake like Bahubali, KGF, and hundreds of such examples like it. The work of Indian cinemas has changed in recent years. Most of the time Bollywood movies were seen as successful but Southern cinema has taken control.

Bollywood movies have had few hits in comparison to their previous performances. South Indian cinema has a large craze of South Indian actors, they have rocked in recent years and have a huge fan following and a special place in the audience’s heart.

South Indian movies are being dubbed by the Bollywood industry, such as Kabir Singh, Tere Naam, holiday, Drishyam, and others, without a good script, a movie won’t be possible, at the end the script matters a lot.

To be honest, according to my views Bollywood is making new movies but all are senseless, with no story, no theme, no fiction it’s just all gone in vain, they do not have good stories now to make new. It is not like every time, they have made several good movies previously but only a few of them we can count on. Whereas, south Indian Industry has given many blockbuster movies back to back in the past few years like bahubali, KGF, mersal, and robot 2.0 which breaks all the records.

People used to troll south Indian movies for action earlier, but they changed it and started working on making unique content and they are on the way to improving it. Bollywood has people who produced good movies like Sanjay Leela Bansali and Rohit Shetty and many others and have amazing actors who did their best in acting, but after all, movies also depend on the scripts.

See, it is not the problem with the cinemas and movies, it is much to do with the audience’s mentality, for example, the movie Article 15 was made by Bollywood whereas Asuran was made by the South Indian Industry, but both are dealt with the same topic right. Asuran became a massive hit and Article 15 went flopped.

Telugu Cinema History: We have talked a lot about the Telugu Film industry, it is also known as Tollywood because it has a Telugu origin language. If we talk about the history of Telugu Cinema, then it has been a long journey. In the year 1921, the filmmaker Raghupathi Venkaiah produced the silent film, Bhishma Pratigna and since then he was known as the father of Telugu Cinema. In 1933, the East India Film Company produced its first Indian film in Telugu, Savitri. The first South Indian Film studio was built in 1936, Durga Cinetone by Nidamarthi Surayya in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh. After that, many other different films were produced in the Telugu Cinema.

Since the year 1990 many actors and actresses rise in the film industry and achieve heights, also they rocked the Film industry, some of them are Balakrishna, Venkatesh, Chakravarthy, Mohan Babu, Suman, Tarun, Vijaya Shanthi, Soundarya, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna,  Laila, Archana, Meena, Asin and, Meera Jasmin.

Telugu cinema is spreading its wings all around the world. Well, it is not surprising that the Telugu industry is increasing its boundaries in Hollywood too, they are making films with Hollywood actors, and it creates a huge vibe in Indian cinema. The big example you can see in the latest movie of Telugu industry RRR, I believe that you have watched it, right; if not then must watch the movie.

In the movie RRR there are three Hollywood stars, who played the prestigious role in the movie. Hollywood actor Michael Madsen played the role of Richard Dickens (Police Captain, Seattle) role. As the title suggests this is my movie rec list.These are the films across industries and  stuff i feel needs more recognition and love. It is all a mixed Bag, Mixed Genres, Mixed reasons to suggest them right from the quality to acting to cinematography to story etc.. to critical acclaim Etc you get the picture. Now not all of them are like Blockbusters or like wah wah highly acclaimed though majority are but still i feel more people need to see them so do give a try. I love these films and i am proud of them so here it goes in no particular order.

p.s These are more recent films say last 2,3 yrs and the list doesn’t include films that are still in theatre like Uyaare, super deluxe,athrian,lucifer  etc 

Template is as follows the Titles include links with subs. Now they are msotly links for well known streaming giants so should not be an issue with majority but i will try to find and add alternate links too. Also will be adding lil synopsis detail of film and then in italics what i thought of it and why one should watch it just random thoughts kind of thing. we will see how far this will go because i have 30 titles approx to add LOL so i will have to break this post in parts and i might get lazy and forget to add my thoughts. we will see LOL

Vikram Vedha |Tam | *R.Madhavan,Vijay Sethupathi:   Police officer Vikram is on the hunt to capture Vedha, a gangster. But when Vedha voluntarily surrenders himself, it challenges Vikram's perception of good and evil. [you should watch this one for it’s smart writing, superb characterization and wonderful performances, the intrigue factor keeps you hooked till the end and Not a trace of Maddy and Vijay in the Cgaracters of vikram and vedha they are truly those characters., Also i heard this one is in the process of getting remade in bollywood so watch it before it is ruined forever. IYKWIM... i will leave it at that because this isn’t the post for details on remake hehe

Geetha Govindham|Tel| *Vijay Devrakonda, Rashmika Mandanna: (the drive link will not open in the app from phones, use a PC):  A 25-year-old virgin searches for love. Super cute rom com and a feel good film. Music is really nice and basically a laugh riot or well i laughed a lot lol. 

Vada Chennai |Tam| *Dhanush,  Andrea Jeremiah,Aishwariya Rajesh |alt link |  A proficient carrom player sets foot in the world of crime and joins forces with local gangsters to settle their feuds. However, he decides to take them down when they plan to wipe out his locality. A perfect beginning to the triology,Truly enthralling, Truly an epic Gangster drama, it is built layer by layer and sucks you into the world of anbu and company right away. Dhanush is in his best form and andrea in her grey character is also surprsingly good. this gangster drama i actually loved like anything and this genre is really not something i enjoy mostly it has to be really good for me to enjoy it 

Njan Prakashan |Mal| *Fahadh Faasil,Sreenivasan |alt link|  Prakashan aka PR Akash is a typical Malayali man who aspires to lead a luxurious life without too much effort. As he tries to achieve this aim, a few insignificant figures walks into his life.

holds up a mirror to Society, simple,cynical, skeptical, thoroughly entertaining and teh one that makes you smile, also Fahadh plays the role of the guy we love to hate and then love so perfectly. but hey that is hardly a surprise i mean when is he not Excellent?.

Sairat| Marathi|* Rinku Rajguru, akash Thosar: {on netflix as well} Upper class Archie falls in love with a lower caste son of a fisherman, Parshya. Watch this one for it’s realistic approach and rawness. this one deals with a wide range of themes right from class system to the struggles of a young couple when they try to settle into a daily life to more dark themes such as honor killings but an epic film. it is so hard to explain in words how good it is and why one must watch this one. Just the honesty the passion of filmmaker shines + the music. one big thing about this film was how normal looking everyone  was they had realistic locations average looking cast but MAN THIS one makes you smile, laugh,cry, be sad, feel the pain like anything .the usp is the innocence of leads and the love story is so endearing Unfortunately this is also the original of dhadhak which isn’t even a speck of dust in terms of quality and basically rips everything that made sairat what it is from it and is a glossy totally non practical remake and devoid of any emotions + with terrible casting Loll.  Also this is my only Marathi entry on this list.

Ente Ummante Peru |Mal| Tovino thomas,Urvashi:| Alt link  The life and journey of Hameed to find his biological mother and how his life changes when Aisha comes into his life. Just Heartwarming would be my comment on it. this is again something one has to watch and experience to know why this one made it to the list. it is hilarious at times yet has some very tender moments. Tovino is a sweetheart as hameed and aisha amma is Lovesuper lovable and warm. this one just kinda engulfs you into it’s warmth. 

Majili |tel| *naga chaitanya, Samantha:  A former cricket player nursing his wounds of a failed relationship takes up the task of training his ex-lover's daughter and in the process discovers his feelings towards his wife and her unrequited love for him. I personally didn’t care for the first love story as it is very typical and clice But it is post the entry of sam where the film becomes worth making it to this list , simple and the one that makes you count your blessings and just be thankful to have someone who loves and supports you like sravani does for purna..  Chay and Sam’s chemistry is off he hook and they make it worth it totally. 

Arjun reddy| tel| shalini, VIjay devrakonda : alt link   Arjun Reddy (Vijay Deverakonda) is a Surgeon and the topper of the college. He falls in love with his junior, a Tulu girl (Shalini), who is four years younger to him. Due to some unfortunate incidents, they break up. How life takes them forward forms the rest of the story. A gamechanger in Telugu industry no wonder it has reached the cult status. it’s not like i haven’t been raving about it from past 3 days even more than before because the butchering in form of the remake hurts But wow What a revelation Mr Derakonda was in this and He rightfully won a Best actor award. Just Like sairat this one rises way above the script due to the acting of vijay and that honesty in the script and film making. idk it is hard to put in words for me but when you see these films you see how passionate the makers were while making them and the heart and soul they have put in the film just shows and touches you so hard.Now this one is 18+ so TW drugs, alcoholism and a lot on innuendos and banging hehe. BUT and i can’t emphasize enough IT IS WORTH EXPERIENCING IF YOU ARE A FILM LOVER. This is the one which leaves you in the undecided category or well it had left me in that do i love it? do i hate it? i was so confused until my rewatch and i have finally came to conclusion that i love it. this is like you can love me hate me but you can’t ignore me and it stays on your mind a lot longer then the 3 hrs runtime after you are done because you are in that wait what is my actual verdict hehe. Also i haven;t seen a more accurate depiction of a toxic relationship on desi screen where one is so obsessed and self centered that it becomes really hard to survive around him 

Thadam|tam| Arun vijay    The murder of a youngster creates confusion among a few cops when they find out that the one accused in the crime has a look-alike!.  Thadam has an intriguingly written flow of events that begin from the pre-interval point and the film maintains the suspense factor till the end. The lead actor is fab in his dual role it is hard to tell which one is which and who has actually done the crime but mind you int he beginning it is a little confusing as it keeps goign back and forth between the bg stories of 2 guys but the viewer isn’t told that it is actually dual role so i was like wait how come one min he is rich and in love with oen persona and next he is in slums doing thefts lol. anyway... 

Peranbu\Tam/Mal |*Mamooty  A story about a father who tries to understand the struggles of his disabled daughter Paapa. The plot highlights the journey of how he becomes a better man while he comes to terms with his child and her special needs. This one is Just purely about a father’s love for the child and how far a father can go for his child.

An Honorable mention to BAAHUBALI2 which requires no intro or anything from me to persuade one into watching it It is SELF EXPLANATORY.

I have so much more quality content in the queue and am super excited to share that with ya fellas..... it gives me great Joy to share the love for movies and a lot of satisfaction that all this FIlm nerd thing is coming to some use to others and i take a lot of pride in the fact that i am kind of is a film nerd hehe. John Abraham in Hindi Remake of Bheemla Nayak

'Ayyappanum Koshiyum' is one of the super hit movies of 2020 in Malayalam. The film starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon in the lead roles was a huge success there. The film was remade in Telugu under the title 'Bhimla Nayak'. The film, which was released in this year, was a Blockbuster. Trivikram made many changes in the story without spoiling the Malayalam original Version. This film was Directed by Sagar K Chandra, stars Pawan and Rana and is very popular here as well. It is said to be a strong multi-starrer movie. Now the film is being remade in Bollywood. The rights to the Hindi remake of 'Ayyappanum Koshiyum' were taken over by John Abraham. It seems that he has handed over the responsibility of directing the film to Anurag Kashyap. It will be known soon who will do another role.
