Day 2: Long time since our last sleepover, pre/post canon day When was their last sleepover? Will there be more? Use this day to explore Mason’s life pre canon (how did he and Liam meet? what was his family like?) and post canon (what happened after Monroe? what happened during the ten years span before the movie?).

Day 3: Someone on your team has gotta be on my team, Mason and queerness When did Mason discover he was gay? How did he come out to Liam? What is his relationship with Cory like? A chance to explore Mason’s relationship with his identity.

Day 4: This is my warm up, dick, Mason and school Mason is very much a nerd, but also runs in jock circles. What does that look for him day to day? How does it affect his life? What research topics is he most fascinated by? What are his favorite physical activities?

Day 5: Something Truly Good, Mason and corruption Why did the dread doctors choose Mason? What did they do to corrupt him? Or what about Mason becoming a villain himself? How would that happen? How does it affect his relationships with the show's villains?

Day 6: I'm in the inner circle?, Mason and everyone Use this day to explore Mason's relationship with anyone: Liam, his friends at Beacon High, the McCall pack, his love and thirst interests, the villains, etc.

yeah yeah alright but do you think mason ever subconsiously compared brett to theo-both very very wildly differing yet similar relationships which definately played roles in mason’s mind, even if subconsiously? where brett, liam’s antagoniser, was his crush, ‘this just keeps getting better and better’ another fantastic thing about the supernatural world, something which mason idealised into golden: because he truly didn’t know brett? where again theo, liam and corey’s antagoniser, he hated and never forgave, the darker underbelly of the supernatural world and the prelude to his own mass-murdering spree, is someone mason knows and can even connect to as dread doctor experiments and therefore mason cannot idealise him because of how horrific their connection is? Brett symbolises Mason’s innocence while Theo symbolises his maturity, better or worse.

Can I ask for ice skating + Liam and Mason or Liam/Mason ?

"Come on," Liam says, tugging on Mason's hand. "We're going."

"Going where?" Mason barely looks up from his spot on the bed. Until Liam tears his covers off. The shock of cold earns Liam a well-deserved glare.

He's working towards pulling the covers back on when a pile of clothes land on his face and chest. Thermal underwear, jeans, sweater, puffy coat, hat, socks.

Mason reluctantly sits up. He holds up the sweater Liam threw at him with a grimace. "I haven't worn this since we were kids..."

It's red with little green fuzzy balls along the sleeves and a picture of Santa Claus covering the front. Liam is wearing his matching version. Mason groans but he gathers up the clothes and starts to change.

Liam throws red gloves, a brown hat and the soft scarf his sister had knitted for him from blue, green and orange yarn a few years ago. The thing is hideous and super warm.

"Where we are going?" Mason mumbles as he finishes getting dressed.

Liam grins, again and he thrusts a pair of ice skates at Mason.

"They've set up a whole hoiday carnival at the ice rink."

And Mason can't deny Liam.... anything really. He slings the skates over his shoulder and grabs his hand.

The rink is covered in red and green and blue and silver and gold decorations. There are vendors selling everything from hot chocolate to handmade Christmas ornaments to scarves and gloves, there's a table selling dreidels and another selling toasted nuts.

Holiday music blares through the speakers and the rink is littered with people, even this early in the morning. Mason does love Liam, but he is never forgiving his best friend for being a morning person. It's barely eight am.

They strap on their skates and slide onto the ice. They take a few laps with Liam chattering excitedly about things he wants to get Hayden for Christmas.

And then Brett Talbot and his sister skate by from the other direction.

Mason's heart beats rapidly and Liam smirks.

"Did you know they'd be here?" He thinks of the ridiculous sweater he's wearing under his puffy coat.

Liam grins wickedly. "Mason and Brett sitting in a tree..."

Lori turns her head and smirks. Mason can see the tips of Brett's ears turning pink.

He elbows Liam. "Dude. He can *hear* you."

Liam snorts. "Your crush is a mile wide, dude. Maybe you should act on it?"

Mason grabs Liam's hand and pulls him further around the rink and off of it. He feels Brett and Lori watching them. "I hate you so hard."

Liam turns back to the rink. "Hey Brett! Lori! Wanna get some hot chocolate? Mason's treat."

U: A pairing you might like to write for, but haven’t tried yet.

Eventually, I would like to write about Brett and Mason, because I think it's a great opportunity to write about a canon gay relationship that doesn't rely on the enemies-to-lovers trope.

Don't get me wrong, I've written about Mason and Corey. I'm a huge fan of the ship, but there's no way to evade the complications caused by the schemes of Theo and the Dread Doctors. Similarly, I'm a fan of Ethan and Danny, but they remain complicated by Ethan approaching Danny under false pretense. Writing about Brett and Mason would be something completely different.

It shocks me on a certain level that there isn't more written about two canon LGBQTIA+ characters who were actually seen flirting and one side, Mason, being clearly and openly attracted to the other half. Okay, you got me -- it doesn't shock me at all. Between the fact that the ship doesn't possess any sort of unhealthy relationship dynamic and the fact that there's something about Mason that discourages this fandom from writing about him (You know why!), I'm not really surprised that the fandom hasn't done much with it.

My personal obstacle when writing about them is the specter of After Images (6x13). Brett's death at the hands of Gerard Argent and Tamora Monroe has interfered with any attempt for me to tell their story. Anything I might write set before that episode is going to have a sense of melancholy because, in my own headspace, the relationship is doomed. Anything I write set after that episode is going to be an AU and require me to take on a rewrite of Season 6B. It's not a deal breaker, but it's been more of an effort than I've been prepared to make.

I will do something eventually. I either have to gird my loins and tackle 6B in it's entirety, or I have to find a way to put aside the impact of After Images.

I want to make a sterek fic, but i am bad at staying focused so i thought I'd just make a list of head cannons for different aus and just change the timeline to fit what i wish happened in teen wolf

I plan to include many ships because i think a lot of them had merit just in hindsight could have been executed differently in a way that makes sense to my brain.

My endgame goals are tagged if i do end up making an alternate timeline of events fic.

Engames will change in different aus depending on if some characters are ressurected or dead or changed in some way.

Hi there! For the prompt thing maybe something with Mason and Brett from Teen Wolf? Or if you're not comfy with that maybe Josie and Cheryl from Riverdale? Something having to do with jealousy?

OH MY GOD THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR NOT SENDING ME A CHONI PROMPT! AND A BONUS THANKS FOR MAKING IT A TEEN WOLF ONE! Seriously, I appreciate it so much and I love Mason x Brett. Also, please just pretend that Brett goes to Beacon Hills High because I only realised that he’s supposed to be at Devonford perp (I think, I really can’t remember if he switched schools) halfway through writing this and I didn’t want to change it so just, please go with it!

“Dude, your boyfriend’s staring at us again,” Liam says, only a hint of irritation to his words.

Mason follows Liam’s gaze and sure enough, there’s Brett, standing on the field with his helmet in his hands and looking like he’s trying to decide whether to turn away or not.

“I don’t know what’s up with him. He’s been acting weird whenever you’re around. You don’t think he… likes you, or something. Right?”

He glances at Liam when he doesn’t respond, just to find him staring at him, his mouth open and eyes narrowed.

“You are such an idiot.”

Mason makes a noise of protest, only slightly offended. “What are you-”

He doesn’t finish his sentence as Liam looks away, nodding his head in the direction of Brett. Mason turns to find him making his way towards them, and when he goes to ask Liam if he thinks Brett heard them, he finds that he’s scooted along the bench and is now talking to Stiles instead.

“Hey,” Brett greets him, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips as he sits on the bench down from Mason.

Mason smiles back. “Hey.” He pauses for a second before motioning at the field, where some of the other team members are still practicing. “Shouldn’t you be with them? Y'know, there is a big game coming up tomorrow.”

“I know,” Brett shrugs a little, his smirk turning into a sly grin. “But I would much rather be sitting here, talking to my wonderful boyfriend.”

His eyes dart away from Mason though and his grin slips a little. Mason barely even needs to look to know that he’s looking at Liam.

He decides it’ll be easier for everyone if he just asks the question that’s on his mind.

“Why don’t you like Liam?” Brett raises his eyebrows at him and he quickly adds, “I know you’re not still mad about your coach’s car back at Devonford. So, what other reason could you possibly have?”

Brett doesn’t answer straight away. He glances over at Liam again, now grinning while Stiles rolls his eyes and pulls him off the bench to join Scott on the field.

When he meets Mason’s encouraging and curious gaze again, he sighs.

But he doesn’t get to say anything as Mason finally catches on. “Are you… are you jealous?”

His eyes widen as Brett looks away again, clearly avoiding looking directly at him and so obviously embarrassed.

“Oh my god, you are, aren’t you?”

Brett rolls his eyes and clenches his teeth but then he answers, “Yes. I’m jealous, okay?”

“Why?” It slips out before Mason can really think about it. Brett just looks up at him incredulously and Mason quickly continues. “I just mean that I don’t get it. If you’re jealous of Liam, then you definitely have nothing to worry about.”

In all honesty, Mason was mostly guessing the reason behind Brett’s jealous. But he looks completely unconvinced by what he said and he realises that he was actually right. Brett is jealous of Liam.

“Seriously, babe. You have nothing to be jealous of,” Mason says, his eyebrows furrowing a little. “Liam’s my best friend; nothing else. There are no romantic - or sexual - feelings between us. Our relationship is purely platonic.”

It seems to work. Brett chews on his bottom lip and his eyes search Mason’s face to see if he’s lying. Mason’s sure he’s even listening to his heartbeat.

But, of course, he realises that he’s telling the truth. He has no reason to be jealous or worried.

“I’m an idiot, aren’t I?” Brett asks, a smile tugging at his lips once more.

Mason grins and nods a little. “You are. But I love you, and you’re my idiot.”

Brett returns his grin and leans up while Mason leans down, meeting halfway in a soft kiss. It ends far too quickly as Brett pulls away but Mason doesn’t mind too much. He just grins even brighter when Brett stands up and sends him a wink before heading back down to the field.

He shakes his head to himself, not caring that Brett can hear him as he says, “My boyfriend’s an idiot.”

“So are you!”
