I started typing this on the bus in the way home, because I do have tons of thoughts.

Being as I am too stimulated to make a serious full analysis, I will drop only a few incoherent points.

GLADIATOR ll SPOILERS AHEAD

What I liked:

-The fight scenes are insane, madness escalated on the Coliseum. ( The rhino wasn't even the most shocking. They had the arena filled with water to do a naval fight with a boat an everything)

-The bigger emphasis on anti imperialism and visuals from the decay of Rome.

-The knew they weren't going to top how iconic Commodus is as a villian and the main villians aren't the emperors, nice gotcha they played on me. Well done, it was Denzel Washington playing them all along * insert Agatha all along song*. His character is interesting and frighten me in a different way.

Bestie and I affectlonately baptized the twin emperors as Dumb and Dumber, they weren't that much relevant.

-Lucilla, my favorite person in this movie who suffered more than Jesus Christ.

-Related to this, they opened a page from the handbook of Troy and gave us an arena fight between two characters you can root for and made me suffer.

What I disliked:

-The lazy as fuck explanation they gave to force the " Lucius is Maximus's child" fan theory. It doesn't make sense for me and i am pretending i didnt see it. ( My biggest complain, I HATE IT)

-Everything is so rushed! The wife of Lucius dies before we even get to know who that guy is in a scene that make us feel like we are supposed to feel sad, but we don't know any of these characters yet. We tecnically don't even know this guy is Lucius, because they call him Hanno and at that moment we don't know why neither.

This movie often lacks the emotional weight and character development of the original.

-The callouts in the dialogue to the previous film were too obvious. It felt like the Peter Griffin " he said it" meme.

In the following days I will coherently write an actual analysis.

I wonder if Scarecrow girl regret pushing away someone that she initially disliked? Given one of the meanings for scarecrow in dreams is wanting to correct negative decisions and realizing the good qualities in a person you dislike?

Ok, I'm going to use this question to answer a few of the Ladies related questions I got. Thanks to all of you for the positive feedback on that theory, I really appreciated it!

Starting with you, anon.

1) About Scarecrow

You know, after making a full analysis on the Ladies and getting a good look at each one of their rooms, both in the Residence and in the Nest, I think I agree.

The question now would be, who was she pushing away?

An obvious answer would be (her) Mono. As I previously established: a Lady of the Maw cannot exist unless a Thin Man creates her and a Thin Man cannot exist unless he's betrayed by said Lady. Maybe she regrets leaving him to his fate? The Eye paintings are quite prominent in her section.

Or, this could be referring to the other girl.

I theorized that Scarecrow may have had a sister who ruled the Maw alongside her. Not only that, it might have been one of the others as well.

The candidates to fit this role would be Tengu and Teapot. I lean more on the latter.

Tengu is tecnically the second in line, following the order we previously reconstructed, yet I also mentioned that she and Scarecrow may have been interchangable because you can choose to retrieve them in either order. They're the only ones to which this rule applies; Fox will always be first and Teapot will always be last. Plus, Scarecrow's pedestal is taller than Tengu's, effectively making her the second.

Another thing I think is worth mentioning is that, in the way to reach Teapot, we have to pass over the two armchairs. Reminiscent of when Teapot had to sneak past the sisters, perhaps?

Then, when we do get Teapot, to leave the room we have to once again sneak past Tengu (albeit it's her false persona).

Lastly, I wanted to mention that Red and Blue have always been opposites. It would make sense for Scarecrow to dislike Tengu, especially considering how drastically different they behave. For example, while Scarecrow prefers to hide away from the monsters and ignore them, Tengu actively engages with them and pretends to be a monster herself. I could easily see the Lady in Blue be either disgusted or irritated by this way of handling things.

On the other hand, we have our other candidate, Teapot. I do believe it's less likely, but pictures of one of the girls in the paintings (the one with long braided hair) are seen in her area.

Of course, it's also possible that Scarecrow's possible sister is not one of the other Ladies and was someone else entirely.

This lowkey got me thinking though.

If the "Lady & Thin Man coexistence theory" (yes we're naming it lads), is true, then this means that, if there were two Ladies governing the Maw at the same time, then the number of Thin Men wouldn't line up... because one Mono accompanied two Ladies. Consequentially, our Mono would be the fifth Thin Man and not the sixth, and the number 6 on the Thin Man's door was indeed referring to the number of Ladies.

Now I can't help but wonder how such an event would go down. My guess would be that the Thin Man of the time only took one of the girls (maybe only one of them was wearing the yellow raincoat?), awakening her Hunger which would then lead her to become the Lady while her sister helplessly watches and follows.

Mh. I have to think this one through. The concept is really interesting though.

2) About Fox (and Six)

" You know given how Fox mask Lady was able to have children be comfortable in her presence and how she likely died a gruesome death, maybe she was the type to continue on being kind and caring despite what she experienced as a kid and becoming the Lady of Maw? Her horrible death is definitely her being punished for still being kind since the world of little nightmares is where kindness will make you suffer and guarantee certain death. " - anon

I do think she met her demise as a consequence of her gentle nature. But in her defense; if the order is correct, then she was the first Lady ever. Maybe she wasn't aware of the cycle/loop. I'm pretty sure she died at the hands of her successor after trying to offer her kindness and shelter.

(Another thing to think about: the rip on her statue kind of looks like a bite.)

People who try to be kind always get the worst possible outcomes in the Little Nightmares universe. Once again, that famous achievement expresses the core belief behind this world: "Kindness will be your undoing!"

And talking about achievements... the other day I was on the wiki reading the achievement list - as one does - and something caught my eye.

Little fox.

In the achievements, Six is referred as a couple of small animals that relate to her in some way. For example, she's called a "little canary" or a "sneaky rat". Both connections are obvious: the canary is a bird with bright yellow feathers and rats are considered vermins - which is how Six is seen by the monsters.

This only draws more paralleles between Six and Fox, who have been stated to be quite similar in many ways.

3) Additional Color White Meaning - Teapot

That is absolutely correct! Then again, this begs the question: who or what could the Lady in White be mourning?

Again, maybe (her) Mono? Or perhaps she's mourning her own lost freedom?

Out of all the Ladies, current one included, Teapot really seems to be the most depressed about the whole situation. It's really heartbreaking considering how her coding made her out to be an innocent, pure hearted, happy go lucky soul.

4) About Scarecrow's and Teapot's masks.

So, personally I do think they kept wearing their masks, even if they're a little peculiar.

You have to keep in mind that people wearing masks is kind of the whole "brand" of the Maw.

When Six gets there every single employee and even some of the guests are wearing masks, with the only exception being the Granny. Then again, the Granny is a contractor, not an employee. She kinda does what she wants and no one can really stop her, which is really funny in my eyes.

Plus, Scarecrow is not the only one we see wearing a sack on her head. We have the Hunter as well! So I wouldn't say it's that uncommon.

Teapot's choice of mask is way more goofy, bc let's be honest. An extremely powerful force of darkness going around with a teapot on her head? But then again, it lines up with her innocent nature.

It's a stark contrast with the current Lady, who is so refined and came right after Teapot.

5) Lady Six design? An headcanon, I guess!

I actually may have to correct you on one thing before we go though: if the girl in this portrait in the Lady's quarters is infact a younger Lady, then it's safe to assume all Ladies before her wore a yellow raincoat as well.

Perhaps that's their signature clothing, like Mono's paper bag. Paperbag and yellow raincoat, always together.

Moving on!

Yes, I do agree on Six's kimono being yellow. A darker shade of the Lemon color - like how the Lady's kimono was a darker shade of Tangerine - would be PERFECT. Lemon is usually associated with Awareness, Enlightenment and Alertness, which I think would fit Lady Six. She finally realizes how things work in this world and how she was just a pawn into the Eye's plan all along.

As for the mask, I actually thought about it for a while. I don't think it would be the same as the Lady's, because they're really different from each other, but I still think it would have something to do with Noh masks.

Personally, I settled on the Ja mask. It's badass and scary, something I think Six would definetely wear.

(Btw, I tried searching for what Noh mask could be associated with the Lady's. I found several, but the Fushikizō may be the best candidate.)

6) Same person from different dimentions?

" Random thought but what if the ladies and Six actually exist similar to the movie "Spiderman: Into The Spiderverse", where they are actually a different version of The Lady brought into Mono's dimension to continue the cycle? Some of the masks seem to hint the presence of other worlds, AND Six's connections to previous mask owners. Six herself is also hinted to be from a different world as well, as she is labelled to be "awaking in a world she cannot recognize" " - massive brain anon

OK BUT THIS ACTUALLY MAKES A LOT OF SENSE???

And this actually explains why Mono and the Thin Man would be drawn to her! It's still his friend, but a different version of her! Especially after we've established how the human children are all lured from other dimensions in the LN universe... Wow. Good thinking, anon. This way, the selection of the next Lady is not casual and actually makes sense all things considered.

Holy moly, choco thorws an arrival (duh) analisys?!

As always, spoilers from tenkuu shinpan arrive, up until chapter 71. Always, the japanese version, since I read it in japanese. Read with caution below. ALSO ITS VERY LONG. I apologize before hand! (and for my poor english)

Like seriously, i mean, it ,this is HUGE SPOILERS! if not spoilers from much of the plot until now.

Okay? okay!

I dont now how many chapters we have left but i hope im actually wrong in this one because it feels like too few has passed :c. But a climax happened ofc: Daisei is there, you know, the huge ass eye. Also, ORibe mentioned that Yuri in on her way on fusion the dimensions, i dont know if she means the OG high rise dimension with the ruined high rise dimension? OR back to the real world? I doubt it’s back to the real world, since they still need a God, and left the game on pause tecnically. As Yuri said, it was ‘their fault’. Of course, Yuri being the actual administrator knew Daisei could do ruckus since he is also trying to archieve god. 

Now, i think Daisei is doing that in that ruined world since the OG High Rise world its paused. There hasnt been more killings, and i am not sure if the god candidate needs to read the other 2 god codes. For the ones that have read at least one code are:

Yuri

Juo

Okihara

Yoshida

And the Judges duo aka Kuon and Sniper.

Of course, Yuri cannot be god since it breaks the administrator rule, Juo is dead (is he? DUUUN DUN!) Okihara was comatose the last time we saw him and the med staff was healing him, Yoshida its mentioned to be alive but MIA. (or at least mentioned, since Yuri told Rika if he sees yoshida to thank him)

That would leave our beloved Sniper being the one with that duty. And for the role he is taking in arrive, who he is a bit more predominant there, it could make sense. BUUUUT! The issue is the god damn God system. I do not quite remember if reading the other codes was necessary,since he and Kuon finished the trial and faceless-kun said “yeh go on!” Of course, the issue with that, is that turning into God needs energy, and in the OG high rise world there is none or not the enough level to turn him into that, EVEN WORST, it seems that, according for what we have been seeing here, is that the ‘Will’ and the fluctuations of that is the one that feeds the system (despair, hope, etc). And will usually manifests, in a soul. Who the heck is a soul of the main five? Kuon.

You think the god damn Sniper would literally say “oh yeh, lets get rid of her and we get all out of here”. Lets be freaking honest, that option was there long ago but he was the one, literally, HIMSELF, that told her that no matter what she wont disappear. So yes, sacrificing Kuon is out of the question. Actually, sacrificing any of his team members its our of the qustion, since he asked Rika that with Yuri’s condition as Admin, she was forced to stay there somehow, and Rika said he is staying, and so did Sniper. So yes, leaving someone behind its ALSO out of the question Now, with the appearance of Daisei, who....Wanted to be like Kuon in that ethereal form since, according to him, it gives him a sort of inmortality, also wants to be god. And apparently, after he killed himself but had the will to ‘keep on living’, he realized he could be god. Now, I dont quite know HOW Ruined High rise world came to happen, but somehow Daisei arrived there. According with that he started a new killing game, a killing game the OG gang wanted to end FOR ONCE AND FOR ALL. Of course Daisei did not wanted them to interfere, so he created a sort of barrier that doesn't let the old members of the game enter. Therefore, neither Yuri and co could chase him down with the manipulating the barrier powers. That’s UNTIL...Kuon came with an idea. Apparently for what Sniper told Juorika and co, Kuon, Yuri, And Hayami Shintaro created the cloud mechanism (the ones with Clouds with a WILL aka, clouds with souls). Since Yuri seems to be human and in a frontier, and I am guessing its to keep the plan going, she sent the other main 4 to blend to that place: Rika, Nise, Sniper, And Kuon. Each of them linked to an object with their souls within, and not necessarily a weapon.  How each person got linked to their cloud its ANOTHER THEME, specially with the new character seen: Senya’s alien. The alien seems to be related to the creation of the system, not giving exactly who he is, but he having some authority over the strings of destiny, since he saw senya being a ‘main protaginist’ and, therefore, thats the reason he linked Senya with Sniper’s rifle, and therefore, Sniper! Who is the alien and what exactly is his role, i do not know quite yet. I just know the systems apparently were created with humanity’s will, the issue is how? and why? was a group of persons will? Since it seemed to be related to the archival of god status,  keeping people away of feelings, actually turning them emotionless, and being the strongest. Was it high class ppl? governments?  we dont know yet. Now back to the actual pot, Daisei has showed up, and his abilities with his second stage masks he seems to create using old memories. Some data recollected from the old world, not necessarily being ppl of that world that are alive right now, but also dead people since he brought Maid mask back.   Also it seems people are and at the same time are not related to their original power. If they have an original power beforehand, its good, but Daisei can also provide them more power of needed, specially if they are second stage soldiers. For example, Rika and Kuon are one of the strongest characters of the manga, Rika being an Apostle and not having  a god code in his system, yet still paired with the strength of a god, and Kuon, right now, its awfully OP, being able to bring ppl back to like and/or healing him. But their clones, Juo(rika) and Zeon, are just first stage level, who are just created to bring up despair, and analyse about intruders, but not personally KILLING the intruders or the foreign objects. (they call object from the OG gang like that). Then again, them compared to their og versions, aren’t that strong. Are they the strongest of their category? Yes. Are they paired to their original versions? Hell no. But then we have second stage soldiers that are naturally strong (Mayuko and Archeangel aka Nise and great angels clones...Oh and X, who is Miiko’s clone). And Second stage ones that aren’t naturally strong, like Maid mask, who was just paired up in strength to a strong angel, but nothing else, and now its paired up to people like Oribe who has Rika as her cloud (then again, a strong cloud,b ut his power is reduced due noodle form),and Asuka, who has Great Angel’s rod. What will happen now? Well, many stuff. First of all I don’t want it to end yet, but here are my takes: Well, we know Senya is coming back after talking with his alien friend (?, so he may get Oribe out of that issue when she is being strangled. The world merging may happen sooner as expected. That could mean, maybe, just maybe, the physical interference of the OG gang, no longer as noodles, since their presence its related to how the barrier (that its in a constant purge between Yuri and Daisei) its weakened or not.  I wonder if Daisei might flee with that, give a fight, or send a stronger clone. Hmmm... On the other hand, if the gang presence its stronger now, either be cloud is stronger or them just yeeting themselves there, that means MORE INTERACTIONS! (andsniperdad--). Another thing, yes, during this whole ordeal, the Judges were investigating about Daisei, and while they aren’t sure if they can replicate bodies like he does (Iiiishhhh...) well they know, or at least Kuon knows, how to regenerate/resurrect people, but that takes a lot of energy and the hurt/dying person to have a will to keep on living, and honestly, I am surprised she hasn’t fainted yet--! Would the dimension merging somehow return her body back? Eh, its free to dream. What i know its that if the dimensions are united, that means Yuri could travel from A to B and, therefore, meet Nise again! And the crew of course! (well, after she rests because that whole things takes a lot of energy.) I rather not have my hopes up because Tenkuu shinpan Arrive aint as merciful as the prequel. Because honestly, it made me cry like at least 8 times. And Miura is not afraid to hit us in the feels, either be good or bad. What shall Daisei do? Oribe will be okay? Tower of God Chapter 481

Disclaimer: this is mainly just me ranting about King Jahad

So this chapter we were treated to a flashback featuring his royal highness King Jahad himself and BOY does this man have and inflated ego. He seems awfully confident in his own greatness - which stands in stark contrast to everything we know about him. Granted, what we know is spotty, most likely biased and definitely too little to make an exhaustive analysis and judgement of his character, but it's what we have to work with.

Ok, first off, the only rights being first at something gives you are bragging rights, nothing else. It doesn't mean you are better than anyone or something. Also, there were like AT LEAST a dozen other people climbing with you. So tecnically you were one of the first and most importantly it was a team effort.

Second, being great at kicking ass rarely translates to being a good politician (yes Kings are politicians don't @ me). You might've even been a great leader when it was just you and your friends, but making split-second decisions in the heat of battle is not what you need to be the head of an empire. A king needs foresight (not the magical kind), wisdom, common sense. They need to be able to deal with paperwork, politicians, people. Things Jahad is not.

Third, "mutual understanding"?!? Are you fucking kidding me? We know there was civilization before you came. We know you are the invader in the tower. And there's NO WAY I will EVER consider the climate in the tower one of "mutual understanding". Not when people kill each other over even just the chance to get to the next floor. Not when people struggle for bare survival, backstabbing and betraying each other at every curve and end. I don't know in what delusion you live Jahad, but this is not "mutual understanding"

I'd also like to remind you of a few things:

Jahad is the dude who started a war because the girl he was obsessed with rejected his advances. No, he wasn't in love with her. He declared war on her and her allies because she married a different man and didn't agree with settling down instead of continuing to climb. He gleefully murdered her child in front of her eyes and rejoiced in the chance to do so again. It's the Snily catastrophe all over again.

Jahad is the one who decided that because he wanted to stop climbing no one else should be allowed to keep going. Those who still wanted to were hunted, ostracised and villanised. He literally wanted to murder everyone who disagreed with him but was too lazy to do it with his own hands. That's the LITERAL definition of what a Tirant and Despot is.

Jahad is the one who disassembled the Key to the Tower (aka the only thing allowing people to climb in the first place) and went as far as creating a curse of sorts to keep anyone from reassembling it to make sure his ideals wouldn't be betrayed or you'd die trying.

There is not a single thing we know of pointing to Jahad being anything even close to barely competent as a ruler. Period

So I've been listening to Geena Davis' memoir (I have a problem I know) but I now know why Cutthroat didn't do well at the box office!

The studio was already going bankrupt before the film was made and had gone completely by the time the movie came out so there was basically no marketing for the movie. It basically flopped because no one knew about it!

Really? I've searched all over youtube every single " why did cutthroat island failed" video analysis and no one was able to explain me this shit?

I guess every single one of those were assholes doing "analysis" in bad faith. Some were blaming it on the director, others on the production costs. Why no one incluided the very important fact that the studio was already bankrupt? It makes all the damn sense now why it wasn't at all the movie's fault, despite what common consensus on online spaces often presents it as.

To mention another case I know well about, keeping a good margin for marketing costs was part of what saved Troy from being a financial failure. It was a critical failure, but not commercial. It managed to make it to number 8 on the top 10 of highest grossing films of 2004. According to what I googled it tecnically made more than Gladiator and 300, but it also costed way more to make. The nightmarish production costs devalued the performance of the film and Warner Bros took it as a meh result.

Marketing would have made the difference: If Cutthroat Island would have been given the amount of marketing the standard Disney blockbuster gets ( like POTC had) it would have been a hit.

Hi! :) So, not much is known, or at least presented, about César’s relationship with art and the artists of his time, which I think was what you meant? it’s frustrating for me to say this because it's another theme about his life I am always very much interested in knowing more about, but it’s another one where we don’t have secure and extensive information on. Many documents and iconography of the Borgia family were destroyed during the papacy of Julius II and others, and/or were simply destroyed by time, and my impression is that this theme doesn’t spark much interest by scholars in general. César’s biographers, with some exceptions, seem convinced by the idea that César cared little for art, all he cared about 24/7, in their eyes, was warfare and power~~ lol, so their approach to this theme ends up being pretty basic and brief, I don’t think they see any reason to explore it further, or to present a more in-depth analysis. Then, there’s the great artists of the Renaissance, who were in the court of the Borgias, and their biographers. The situation is even more poor on this side, because there’s a discomfort on their part I'd say, to accept and acknowledge the association between César and their artist, even though these artists did had "worse" associations in their careers tbh, it's kinda bizarre to me, but anyways it is something they struggle to present in their works. I believe it is caused by the superficial knowledge they seem to have about the historical figure of César Borgia, and of taking the general history about him at face value. They see and present his legend, that being: as a terrible, evil tyrant of history, which puts them into a dilemma of sorts, of how to present the association between César and their artist? without tarnishing said artist’s exalted reputation? which leads to curious narratives, and with them usually trying to stay as little as possible on this subject, they avoid it like the plague basically dsjdjsdjs. César and his connection to their artist is either briefly mentioned, on a negative light of course, or it’s just not mentioned at all. As a result of these historical and academic obstacles, it is impossible to know who César’s favorite painter was, only he could tell us that, that’s the honest answer, I’m afraid. However, if you gather and connect all the historical material available about César and the artists from 1496 to 1503, it can lead to interesting possibilities. César grew up during the amazing Early Renaissance period, and he later actively interacted with the best artists and intellectuals of the equally amazing so-called High Renaissance period: Bramante, Sangallo, il Pinturicchio, il Perugino, Michelangelo, Raphael Sanzio, Leonardo da Vinci, Piermatteo d’Amelia, Copernicus, and many others. There is no doubt these surroundings and acquaintances had an effect on his life and his artistic preferences. As a man of his time, he seemed to have had the typical, genuine appreciation for the arts, and like any other nobles (both men and women), he was aware art was also a good tool to exert diplomacy, cultivating relationships, or to promote oneself and its court, and as a form of visual communication about their personality and power. The artists mentioned above gravitated towards pope Alexander VI's court in Rome, and later on César court as well, they all had a relationship with him, of different kinds, and one way I found of trying to have a better picture of his artistic preferences, or his role as a patron of the arts, was to look through his choice of artists, the number of commissions he gave them, the places, the favors he granted etc, and I think that can be helpful to indicate the most likely “candidates” to have occupied the role of his favorite(s), I selected a few of them here: I'll start with Antonio Sangallo and Donato Bramante, who tecnically were not painters, well, Bramante was too, but both of them are known for their architecture and it was in this role that they worked for Alexander and César for the most part, but at least in some projects it seems they were also encharged of the artistic decorations, and they did interacted with the other artists of this list.

- Sangallo first started working for César's father, a notable work is his involvement at the rebuilding of the University of Rome, la Sapienza, one of the projects Alexander patronized early in his papacy. He is also associated with two fortresses, the Forte Nettuno and the Forte Sangallo at Civita Castellena, these commissions started under the direction of Alexander, but it seems to have shifted to being partly or solely under César's direction in 1501, so here we have a likely date of when Sangallo started working for him, he was employed to work on yet another re-construction and re-decorations of the fortresses, alongside Bramante (as it is suggested by some scholars), Jacopo Ripanda, and Piermatteo d'Amelia.

- Donato Bramante, just like Sangallo, seems to have started to work for César around 1501, at the fortresses mentioned above, but according to Alvisi, César's best biographer, some churches in the Romagna were built by him: the Church of S. Maria a Monte, a little outside of Cesena, and the Church of S. Stefano (although it is uncertain if it was under César’s patronage) both of which he says it exhibits a bramantesche style in their architecture. Still at Faenza, Alvisi posits the possibility of the design of the Faenza's Cathedral having been another work of Bramante, adding that even if he truly wasn’t involved in the execution, at least its general proportions can be credited to be his. More interestingly is a document from July 15, 1502, bearing César's title as Duke of Urbino, where he grants some privileges to the men at Castel Durante, today's Urbania, which Alvisi remarks it might have been a grant that happened through the intercession of Bramante, who was already working for César at the time, and whose place of birth was in Urbania. Now, going the the artists/painters:

- Bernardino di Betti, known as il Pinturicchio, is one artist I think it’s the most associated with the Borgia family, his relationship with them goes back as early as 1492, when pope Alexander VI commissioned him to work on his private rooms at the Vatican, today known as the Borgia apartments. It’s hard to know when Pinturicchio started working for César, there’s a letter written by César on October 1500, to Cardinal Alfani, Vice-Treasurer of Perugia, to secure a personal favor Pinturicchio had requested of him in person at Diruta, where he writes that:

“Bernardino Pintoricchio da Perosa, qual sempre avemo amato per le virtù sue e l’havemo nuovamente riducto a li servizi nostri. Per la qual cosa desideramo sia in ogni sua facenda riconosciuto per nostro familiare.”

“Bernardino Pinturicchio of Perugia, whom we have always loved for his virtues, and whom we have taken again to our service, for which we desire that he be recognized in all of his affairs as our familiar.”

This letter is important because it informs us of two things, one being that Pinturicchio had worked for César prior to 1500, most likely in Rome, and it’s sad there’s apparentely nothing more about these commissions, and that César clearly regarded him as his courtier and his familiar. In 1501, he granted Pinturicchio an annual payment as his personal painter, although again, there is nothing more about this commission either, as far as I’ve read. - Leonardo da Vinci is another artist who worked for César, they must have met not at Alexander’s court in Rome, but at the court of Milan in 1499. There’s actually a lot of material, direct and indirect, about their association. César was an important patron for Leonardo, more than that, the evidence suggests they had a genuine friendship, both of them had a high intellect, curious minds, and an innovative spirit. On a document César wrote on August 18, 1502, we see him referring to Da Vinci as his “Most Beloved familiar” a term similar to the one he referred to Pinturicchio. During the years of 1500-1501 it seems they were in contact with each other, so it is possible Da Vinci was already working for him then, but officially César employed him in 1502, as his military and ducal engineer, a position Da Vinci himself seems to have wanted from his previous patron. César also valued his talent as an artist because he commissioned some artistic projects from him. Between September and December of 1502 iirc, Da Vinci made various sketches, and began the painting of an altarpiece at the Santuario della Beata Vergine del Piratello, outside of Imola. And there is a drawing commonly known as Three Views of a Bearded Head, that is generally accepted to have been a preparation for a portrait of Cesare by Da Vinci, either for said altarpiece, or for some other project entirely.   - Raphael Sanzio and Michelangelo: the documentation for these two is a little more scarce, Sabatini, one of César���s biographers, mentions Michelangelo was in César’s court alongside Bramante in 1500, unfortunately he doesn’t give a source for this information, but it is likely he was correct, Michelangelo was working in Rome during the papacy of Alexander VI, and he and César seemed to have met around 1496, when César purchased the Sleeping Cupid from him, which supports the claim Sabatini and Sacerdote make about Cesare’s deep admiration for Michelangelo, how he was “ever held in the hightest esteem by the Duke.” Another interesting thing is that in 1498-99 Michelangelo’s Pietà statue was made for the St. Peter’s Basilica, and some scholars, Anna Maria Voci being one of them, links the statue to the Borgia family, as of being a reference to the murder of Juan Borgia, and his family’s grief. Whether this is correct or not, César certainly saw this particular work when it was finally exposed in the Chapel of Santa Petronilla, and he might had employed Michelangelo for his court afterwards, if he hadn’t already, in the following year of 1500, matching the date given by Sabatini. As for Raphael, a likely date for them meeting could have been around 1501/1502, in Rome, possibly through Pinturicchio or Pietro Vannucci, il Perugino. Raphael was good friends with the former, and had been the pupil of the latter, and both of these artists, Pinturicchio and il Perugino, were familiar and a part of Alexander’s court in Rome, and by extension César’s. It is recorded Perugino worked on the decorations of Alexander’s coronation, as well as the decorations of the Borgia Tower alongside Pinturicchio, he also seems to have done some work on César’s apartments in the Vatican, so Raphael was def. within the Borgia circle of artists. There are also some small hints suggesting César’s influence at the choice of Raphael for the Oddi Altarpiece in Perugia by the Oddi family, a known ally of his, and there was once a painting attributed as of being a portrait of César made by Raphael, but Yriarte, Cesár’s French biographer, dismissed the painting being a portrait of César, and other scholars have dismiss the painting having anything to do with Raphael or César. As a bonus, I thought I should include Luca Signorelli, I wasn’t going to initially, but given there is some evidence indicating a good relationship between him and the Borgia family, and more to the point of this question, of a connection between him and César, so I decided to add him on this list. There is no information about where and when they actually met, but it was probably in Orvieto, around 1499 because Signorelli was appointed this year to work in the Cathedral of Orvieto, in the Chapel of San Brizio, the planning of his frescoes dates from 1499 to 1502, and it is probable this appointement had the influence of César himself, Alexander had named him Protector of the Orvieto in 1494, and in 1495 he made him Governor of the city. As it was charactericially of César, he took this responsibility seriously, defending the city from their enemies in 1497 and 1500 (and for this Orvieto was loyal to the Borgia family until their downfall), but more interestingly here it’s that César also directed the chapter of the administration of the Duomo of Orvieto, which gave him the right to determine its decorations and possibly the artists involved, if this is correct, his choosing of Signorelli increases and it is significant. It can be further corroborated if César is indeed depicted in one of Signorelli’s frescoes, in his Predicazione e fatti dell’Anticristo, scholars have claimed César is the figure in the central foreground group, next to Vitellozzo Vitelli. Pinturicchio, who also made some work for this Cathedral in 1492, it’s also said to be depicted there. Additionally, Menotti, in his work I Borgia, mentions a painting, that as far as I know, cannot be found anywhere today, where he says the face of the main figure has the likeness of Cesare’s face, and he attributes authorship of this painting to an artist of either Siena or Orvieto, so maybe Pinturrichio or il Perugino, since there are clear connections between these men and César, but a scholar whose name I forget rn has also laid out the possibility of the authorship as of being Signorelli, if true, then it would reinforce even more their relationship. I think César’s favorite or favorites are there, you know, we can never know for sure, the info is fragmented, and I tried to only include here what was relevant to the question, and it is a lot of connecting and speculating, but I think these are plausible speculations, and for me at the least it did formed a broader picture of that side of César and his life, his choice of sitting for Pinturicchio (as well as making him his personal painter), Da Vinci, maybe Signorelli and Sanzio, his likely using his influence towards certain artists in the choice of commissions, his purchase of Michelangelo’s Sleeping Cupid, after all the drama attached to it involving Cardinal Sforza-Riario and one Baldassare lol, which seems to me he clearly saw something in the statue, he recognized the value of it, and the talent of young Michelangelo, it did not mattered to him if it was a proper antique or not, he appreciated the beauty of it, and he bought it, I find that super interesting. All of this subtly indicates his artistic preferences, the styles he might have liked more, in paintings, statues, building designs, and of the personal relations he had with these artists. I hope somewhere in all this i was able to answered your question somehow, feel free to ask anything else if you want, and I apologize for taking so long to post this.

Frozen 2 & Zutara : The theory

,Well, after watching Disney movie Frozen 2, I realized many things that could fit like cinderella’s slipper to our lovely ship. First of all, we know that Athohallan was a place where people could bend the elements, thanks of the spirits, and Elsa might as qeell serve as the avatar. But that is another analysis, for now, we’ll stick for zutara. 

We got two towns: Arendelle and Athohallan, separated by a mist, no one was able to get in or out. Like: the fire nation and the SWT. Separated by a war. 

As we go deeper in Frozen’s 2 story, we see that Anna and Elsa’s grandfather betrayed Nortuldra’s chief. Both towns became enemies, and we got a point because all people from Nortuldra still have some rancour against them, even after being locked up for 34 years you can difference who is from each town, no mixing at all.  We also see a thing that isn’t supposed to be there, for Nortuldra is the water dam that represented the King’s treason and for that reason their chief was murdered. For the SWT would be the war ship, wich represented the raids and how little by litte, water benders where exterminated. 

At first, the people of Nortuldra don’t trust the foreigners, just like we would see how an initial mistrust between the two avatar countries would be like. But then, Elsa discovers the truth, “truth is what will give us freedom” And Anna, knew that the water dam had to be destroyed in order to keep peace and save both worlds. 

Much like what happened when Katara confronted Yhon Rha, she gave herself freedom when she met him again. And like Anna and Elsa, Zuko went against his people recognizing that he needed to confront and face them (principally his family) to have balance and peace. When Anna was disposed to sacrifice herself for the water dam, was much what Zuko did, sacrificing his life for a girl who was the “enemy”. 

Also, this things are what make the two worlds accept each other completely. Elsa as the protector of the forest and 5th element and Anna as the new queen . The war getting ended and Zuko being Fire Lord. (Who tecnically in normal circumstances would never have reached the throne). Everything below was a choice, the character themselves faced this stuff alone. 

This whole analysis comes because everyone says: No, Katara and Zuko’s familiy would never accept them being a couple. Is that so? 

Imagine, how Hakoda couldn’t accept Zuko? Being he, who helped Katara get a closure for her mother? Being he, the boy who sacrificed his life to save his daughter? How could Iroh couldn’t accept Katara? When she was the one who helped his nephew face him after the big betrayal? Also she saved Zuko’s life too... I’m 100% sure he needed more than one healing session. 

Next... Nope... The Fire Nation and SWT would never approve of that. Well... at first, yes with mistrust and rancour, but then , as they saw the real interaction, the doubt would start to disappear. Wow... commerce and peace treaties? Development in public health?

This gets us to the final point. Elsa being part of Nortuldra and people accepting her as she es because she has proven herself, and it was the sisters’ love who  brought together Nortuldra and Arendelle once more. 

This is the exact thing that sets and argument against zutara: How Katara could be the Queen of the country that almost aniquilates her tribe and killed her mother? It would be a betrayal (Almost like: how the villagers from Nortuldra could accept Elsa as her protector and part of them since is was Elsa’s grandfather who murdered their chief and  enraged the spirits?) This is the answer: because two personas can unify them, two persons can demostrate that being from a different country that initially hasn’t good terms can reach peace.

The union between the SWT and the Fire Nation represents the power of maturity, or overcoming adversities and forgiveness. And like Anna said “Our lands and people, now connected by love.

Off-anon cuz I want notification… Character-Analysis… I always feel like ShinRan is ran being all romantic and lovey dovey while Shinichi… indulges? Like he does love her in *some way* but I don’t feel that’s romantic… he is just used to her being with him and being a constant to rely on. Not saying that bad. Ran again is all “it must be truuueee love~” and Shin be like “I want you by my side… ain’t got no clue so lead the way for me” you catch my drift? He always just… REACTS to her “love”

It’s true that Shinichi indulges in what Ran gives to him, but that’s also part of being in a relationship. And how is he not active enough in the relationship when he was the one that confessed first and asked her out? I don’t see that “ain’t got no clue so lead the way for me” that you say there, no. 

He might not be able to do much stuff because he’s tecnically “away”, but he’s done A LOT for their relationship to grow. Few examples, when he came back in DR the first thing he did was ask her out on a date, he gave her his phone number so she could keep in contact with him, he keeps putting his life on the line time and time again just for her to be safe, he gives her these little gifts and tokens that have a lot of symbolism in their relationship (I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, Shinichi shows a lot with small gestures, in fact, in case you wanna check it out, here’s a little gifset I made with moments like that: link). 

Let’s go even more back in their lives together and go right at the beginning of everything. We know he’s had a crush on her since they met, and when he saw that she was being bullied, he defended her with the “I also have a paper badge so she’s not alone!” line, and he tried to act tough about it, but she saw right through it. I’m not going to go into more examples, because I think I explained it enough. 

It just surprised me a lot that you mention this precisely about Shinichi, possibly one of the, (if not THE) most romantic driven characters of the entire story.
