Who are the Blades?

Dream (Light, healer) – Driver George

Punz (Dark, dps) – Driver Purpled

Technoblade (Earth, dps) – Heartstealer; Resonating with Philza

Philza (Ice, dps) – Aegis; Driver Goddess of Death, driving/resonating with Technoblade

Vikkstar/LazarBeam – One of these is the driver and the other is the blade for plot reasons. Haven’t decided which is which

Because of the “people will be assholes about Blades” bit, most of them are hiding that they are Blades. Sure, you can be open about being a Blade if you are Seraphine who’s Driver is Hypixel himself, but most Blades lay low. This can be a problem give that multiplayer servers can be home to jokes/pranks that border on comedic sociopathy, including killing other members for fun.  Even in servers with infinite lives, Blades have a lot to fear from this. If they are killed an re-Awakened, they lose all their memories and are arguably not the same person as their previous life.

Dream knows about all the other Blades. George only knows about Callahan, Skeppy, Philza, and Vikkstar/LazarBeam. Dream deciding not to tell George about Punz early on is part of the original Resonance decay. Dream does not know Phil is an Aegis. Dream hides that he is a Blade and does a very good job of it. The only people who know he is a Blade are George, Punz, Purpled (Punz told him), Technoblade, and Phil.

Punz is hiding he is a Blade. Since he is working with Dream, he also ends up knowing who all the other Blades are. He is the one to suggest they test their mix of Revival/Blade memory experiments on Vikkstar/Lazarbeam. He tries to keep Purpled informed about the general DSMP environment as well, but they don't interact much outside of it.

Technoblade hides that he is a Blade at the start of DSMP. He gets more open about it later; showing off more of the physical characteristics. At that point, he does not introduce himself as a Blade but will say he is if asked. Techno knows about Dream because they fought in a past life of Dream's (this is the duel; timeline is being shuffled a bit so it happens like 50yrs pre-DSMP). He knows about Skeppy and has suspicions about Punz. If Technoblade knows, assume Philza also knows.

Philza is not hiding that he is a Blade (he wears his core crystal/hardcore heart in the open) but does not introduce himself as a Blade and a lot of his clothing is non-revealing. Because his core crystal is visible, most people who are aware of Blades (Sapnap, Sam, rest of O8) know he is one. If asked, would say he is a Blade. As an Aegis, he can sense other Blades. Confirmed for Techno that Punz is a Blade.

Skeppy does not hide that he is a Blade. Most people just don't guess because the core crystal is not obvious with his physical appearance/diamonds. It varies on whether he introduces himself as a Blade or not, mostly if he thinks it would be funny. Sometimes he introduces himself as a Heartstealer. O8 are all aware of him, as are Techno and Phil.

Slime does not hide that he is a Blade. He introduces himself as a Blade.

Callahan does not hide that he is a Blade. Most people do not know because they don't interact with him. All of the O8 are aware that he is a Blade. He stayed on the server even after Alyssa left, which is very rare for a Blade-Driver relationship.

Vikkstar/LazarBeam - one of them is a Blade. Did not hide that they were a Blade, introduced themselves as a Blade-Driver pair. This plus their relative isolation plus Dream having positive relationships with basically every other Blade that was active on the server at that point meant that they got picked for the test subjects in the Revival Book/Blade memory experiments.

This is a character-focused poll. Keep your focus to character actions that took place on DSMP and during DSMP lore, not origins, smpearth, or real life. MCC is dubiously canonical so I’ll allow it, but I’ve got my eye on you.  

I called it a bloodbath because blood for the blood god, but let’s remember our guy was always an excellent sport. If you are mean to each other in the tags, you will make me sad. Please remember the real people on the other side of the screen. Actual threats in my notes will result in a block.

sometimes philza would hear the mighty god technoblade talking to himself. only late at night or when he believed the older couldn’t hear him. the language was something phil couldn’t understand, but he had heard bits and pieces of it in his brief travels within the nether.

at the beginning of the antarctic empire, techno speaks with phil mainly through short sentences and a lot of vague miming. for a while, phil believed that the silence of the supposed blood god was to invoke fear in anyone who opposed him. he quickly learns that the hybrid was quiet and short with his words due to his lack of understanding of the language everyone around him was speaking. he watched the hybrid during the important meetings between the empires and countries headed by well-spoken and educated presidents and kings. his red and gold eyes dancing around the room, loosing focus quickly. whenever anyone pointed a question towards him, he would just make a noise and turn to phil to give their answer.

as they get closer, phil begins to teach the hybrid the ins-and-outs of the language as best as he can. he learns that techno was not only incredibly intelligent but also picked up the teachings quickly. he began reading pretty much anything he could get his hands on, sometimes a knock would come on phil’s door late in the night. groggily, he would open the door to find a wide awake technoblade who would show the older a word or phrase he couldn’t understand. wanting to understand everything he could. he craved the knowledge more than anything. after only a few months, he’s reading things that even phil struggled to fully comprehend and his speaking skills grew better and better from the long nights they would just talk under the stars about anything and everything.

after the fall of the empire and when the two decide to go their separate ways, they keep contact through long handwritten letters delivered by crows. phil notices his english improving more and more each day. he begins to notice the feared blood god using phil’s mannerisms even through writing, it makes his heart warm to see the the very first connection between them still poking through all those years later.

I'm weak for Phil/Missa with a worship focus

Think about this:

We're looking at the angel of death and a reaper of death.

We are seeing the guy who has survived everything since the beginning of time and the guy who keeps dying, and coming back, choosing what he always wants to return to.

They are united more than they should while one wields a sword to defend those he loves, the other clears the clouds in their loved ones path because he loves them! He wants them to be happy!

They will both forever remember those who were in their heart, The Antartic Empire and Team Vacío Legal lives forever, no matter how much time passes because they were loved by Philza and Missa; the most loyal immortals.

Oh! And something more; the focus on their immortality is so unique! When did I meet him I was told that; “The only thing Phil knows is that he has not died yet” But Missa I think is very aware of his death, he died, he died and he came back with a fourth chance when the others had until the third chance to return and he came back from the dead a fourth time. time, he would do it a fifth, sixth and seventh time he would do it all over again because he cares about.

While Philza in life gives everything of himself for people once they earn his loyalty, trust and appreciation. He won't stop being the same emotional-constipate-crow-dude but God knows he will follow his closest friends to the end of the world, he took the world alongside Technoblade and then he would destroyed another next to him! He is a patient crow, domesticated by death herselft (for whom he is waiting patiently to be with her) staying home and being domestic? He can do it, chaotic raiding dungeons and loting everything that makes his “shiny!” Brain go?, he won't say no. This man can do both if the people he cares ask him.

We have years of lore about Phil, I'll be honest. while we don't have much information about Missa but what we do have comes from HIM and US (his community) do you want a prince-ish son of la Santa muerte? He can be, do you want an labor overexploited reaper? poor thing lmao but here him is! Do you want him to be 26 (or more) meters high? well, ask the admins but no one will deny you //I have seen him ominous, savage, bear hybrid, anguished, violent, etc, the limit is in the imagination!

They worship each other by the way they complement each other. Just by thinking of Philza as the one who has not died, silent and anxious, waiting almost patiently for his complement, his missing half, the father of his children and his husband to return to him after literally being in the center of the end, the end of their life together, the end of watching his children grow and grow, until grow old (even though the mere thought of them aging beyond them breaks him)

After literally being in death and its domain only to choose to return, Missa would never believe in taking away Phil's free will so he's prepared to not see him there, he'll be fine; It is his right. Someone like him with the eternity in front of him would get bored of waiting for a guy like Missa.

Only to arrive and be absolutely adored and hugged till death (again) by his husband. He is happy to see him, he is so glad to see him waiting for him, Philza is happy that not so much of that so-called “time” has passed since the last time he had him in his arms (where Missas belongs to), so happy that their life together is not over yet. A life he loves and a husband he would fight for until he dies.

Obviously he drags him into the house where Missa is absolutely delighted to be welcomed (he always will be) like a crow carrying a new treasure to adore to its hiding place, only that Missa in his soul shines brighter than many of his shinys.

Missa is a reaper of death, literally a part of him feels explicitly built to respond to Phil as his angel or to BBH as a companion of duty, but it's too much, almost too instinctive and natural for him to worship Phil, not that he has a lot of experience but it is nothing like the crush he once had with Quakity, this is more real and deeper than the kiss he shared with Roier.

It's almost like nature for him to adore Philza.

And he doesn't make it any easier for poor Missa, so great and kind, Missa will always be vocal about how incredible and charming his husband is, how much he wants to spend time with him despite the adversities and hazards of the job that he does. prevent, they are worth it as long as he can be under his presence like a cat with sunlight.

It doesn't matter if Phil doesn't want him anymore because Missa is his because he decided it for himself/the skeleton isn't going anywhere, Phil is patient but as long as they are on the same earthly plane of life he is not going to let go of Missa, simply because he is loyal to him (hes also a little chaotic, not above dragging Missa around like putting a collar on a wet kitten)

Regarding my SBI/DSMP Fics

TW: Abuse, Trauma, and Mentions of Suicide.

With all that has happened, I did want to come out here and make my stance clear. I will always stand with Shelby (Shubble) and all of the victims who are speaking out against Will Gold (Wilbur Soot). If you still support that bastard, unfollow me and leave my blog and whatever small community I made.

I've already stated this is my Discord channel, but I want to put it here too.

For me, c!Wilbur is so far removed from cc!Wilbur that I don't connect the two. The characters are vessels for my own characterizations and stories. It's a bit like writing Supernatural*, Twilight, or Hazbin Hotel fanfics. I don't support the guy, monetarily or otherwise, he does not interact with fanfics, I have plans to be very vocal that I'm on Shelby's side no matter what/make it clear that what Will did is wrong, and I don't use his real life events as plots in my stories. At least, I certainly don't try to. It's why I typically change traits about the characters. (I.e. Tommy is shorter, Phil is taller, Techno is bulky, and Wilbur always has golden/hazel eyes.)

I'm aware that it's a tad different because it's rp and not something like a full on book or an actor in a movie, but DSMP has also been over for over two years and the characterizations I make for SBI are not at all based on the CCs. Real life Techno isn't a literal terrorist, Phil ain't a father married to a goddess, Tommy is not a traumatized child soldier, and Wilbur isn't suicidal and blowing up countries.

I think I'll likely focus more on Techno, Tommy, and Phil for a while, but I'm not gonna let one dude ruin a fandom and things I've made for myself. Nothing I write is ever made for Wilbur, as I've seen people saying. Additionally, Wilbur was not the only writer. Technoblade, Philza, TommyInnit, and so many others made that story what it was. Not him.

However, if any CCs come forward saying they don't want their old characters interacting with his, I will respect that.

Though I do think there is a tendency to take real life events (i.e. Techno's cancer, LJ's music, Tommy's real life parents, etc.) and put them into fiction about DSMP. I, however, don't try to do that and have stated before that I don't feel comfortable doing so. The truth is that we have not gotten any genuine SBI content outside of DSMP for years. The dynamic in real life is very different from what was presented in the DSMP. Did personalities still bleed over? Yes, I'm not going to deny that, but I'm not going to act like they're exactly the same between character and person either. We've had that conversation like in 2021, it's why we have C! and CC!.

The rather sad truth is, SBI is what got me really into writing and it's a comfort for me that nothing can compare to. Obviously, I don't think it's appropriate to be writing certain types of stories right now or to be involving characters made by CCs outside of the DSMP. I think it's up to everyone else to decide on what they want to do, however, rushing it also isn't the way to go either. Give yourself time to heal and think it over first instead of throwing away something that gives you comfort and has not been associated with by the creators for over two years.

Anyways, fuck Will Gold. Fuck the fact that he hurt so many people, and fuck that he lied and manipulated his way around the damn internet. ESPECIALLY fuck the fact that he tried to diminish what he did and not take proper accountability.

Go and support Shelby so so much, she and everyone who spoke out really deserve it. I'm glad silence on these types of issues is not being normalized.

I really love how "Technoblade's Chat" is a CHARACTER tag on AO3

It fascinates me that this originated as cc!Techno talking to his chat during lore streams which breaks the fourth wall, but then he canonized it for c!Techno as the literal voices in his head. And these voices then grew their own lore connected to the blood god and had a direct influence on the plot (such as with The Egg). And then people started including them into in-universe fics - essentially fully removed from the connotation of streaming and live chats - often enough that they have their own character tag and some fics completely focus on c!Techno's relationship with Chat as an entity/character.

IM SORRY THIS IS KINDA OF A SERIOUS ASK- I DON'T KNOW HOW TO WORD THIS RIGHT BUT- When the "so long nerds" came out I just balled my eyes out, I cried all night (it was night for me when I received the notification) and I was really wrung out the morning after it in school, and people got kinda worried about it and I explained it but- I was 18, it felt silly to cry over a person I never met before (and with gaming content) I really liked his content and it was all I watched in the pandemic but I just. Like. Stopped watching. because I got self conscious about being sad about it, and I thought I had moved on? Accepted? The grief lasted a day but I never thought much about it bcz I never watched his content again.

But now I catch myself thinking about him, missing to watch his streams, wanting to watch again his videos but- every time I see a bit of him, hear a little of his voice, MY EYES GET ALL WATERY AND SHIT, I CAN'T SEE HIM WITHOUT CRYING AND IT SUCKS. I don't really have time to get all sentimental eeeewww emotions but I miss him, I miss him so fucking much.

I've been following you for a long time now! But I have to admit that I only recently got the courage to read one of your oneshots that got Techno in it, its been a good while I didn't read your fics ;v; (sorry).

Well, Im actually not quite sure how to cope with it at all. Only the passing of time has made it easier for me to swallow, and in all honesty, i still havent been able to watch any of his videos since. I still flinch in hearing his voice when it shows up on my feed. But i write about him without a second thought, and i guess a reason for that is because at some point i accepted that my writing was a way of keeping him alive. My stories are a comfort for both myself and others wanting to continue to find joy at the thought of him, and i desperately needed comfort in the months after he passed, so i just kept writing until the bitterness stopped.

Its also like. Im kinda stubborn about feeling Bad. Grieving sucks and i hate feeling it and i hate crying so much that i refuse to let it linger and ill cram my head with anything else to let the worst pass. I dont think about him being dead. i just think about how happy he made me feel. I focus on the fact that he was really fucking funny and how he was an inspiration for thousands, and i focus on the fact that he still continues to inspire me in making more silly family dynamic fanfiction. I just dont think about it too much, thats all. I dont have any wise advice to share, haha, just that i try to keep my habits for his memory and for my happiness’ sake
