ok so i was thinking of my Agere! Legend head canons, and maybe sorta wrote a small fic
writing below the cut! (I don’t write often and I’m too tired and small to look it over, so sorry if it’s bad..)
Legend had been sitting on his bedroll for a bit, not really doing much but staring at his hands. He was trying to shove away that fuzzy feeling in the back of his mind. Ravio would’ve scolded him for trying to, but he didn’t want the rest of the chain to know about his coping mechanism.
“Vet?” Winds voice pierced my silence. I looked up to meet his gaze, and for some odd reason, it’s like a switch turned off in my brain. I stayed silent, but kept looking at him, eventually tilting my head waiting for him to continue.
“Are you alright?” Wind sat down, worry clear on his face. I nodded, looking around the campsite. “I wanna read my book.” I replied quietly. He blinked in surprise, but nodded.
“Would you like me to get it or..?” He trailed off, waiting for me to answer. I stood up, having left my bag by the campfire. I dragged wind with me, rummaging through it until i found it. Wind was peeking over my shoulder. Wild was sitting by the fire, looking over at me and wind curiously. “What’s happening?” He asked suspiciously.
“Nothin, legend wanted his book and dragged me with him.” Wind responded quietly, still trying to figure out why i was acting so different. I smiled widely once I’d sat down, flipping to where I’d last left off.
“Legend, you didn’t get hit by a wizzrobe or cursed at some random point did you?” Wild accusingly pointed his ladle at me. I simply shook my head, not even looking up.
Wild and wind shared a look.
“Lege, do you happen to have a coping mechanism where you seem to revert back to a child mentally?” Wild asked quietly, wary of the few still awake. That caught my attention, i looked up slightly wide eyed and nervous.
Wind sat down next to me, wild walked over to sit in front of me.
“Don’t worry, i understand.” Wild smiled excitedly. I looked at wind, who nodded in understanding too. I smiled, bonking my head against both their shoulders before going back to reading my book. They both went and got their own little projects, coming back to sit next to me. We sat in silence, it was kind of hard to focus on my book, i missed rav and the way he would expressively read my book to me sometimes. I tried not to think too much of it.
Eventually, I’d yawned a couple times before wild elbowed me softly. I looked at him with half lidded eyes.
“You need to go to sleep, cmon.” He stood up, extending a hand to me. I took it, dragging wind with us. I kicked off my boots, snuggling into my bedroll and waving goodnight to wild and wind. I turned over, using my pillow as a way to cope with missing my stuffie and Ravio.
