This is kind of a specific ITMF so please bear with me, but: I've read a few arranged marriage fics where Wangxian got off to a rough start, and they both were convinced the other was unhappy in the marriage, so they both tried to do what they thought the other wanted and it just ended up making things worse, like WWX making himself miserable by obsessively complying with the rules like a Good Lan Spouse(tm) and LWJ realizing WWX won't laugh or smile when he's around (excessive emotion is prohibited!) so he tries to stay away as much as possible so WWX can feel more comfortable, and they're just both feeling so guilty for not being what the other wants. ngl I just opened it because I was starved for ‘post series knives needs to learn how to live with people’ content. I thought Millyknives was just a case of pairing the ‘leftovers’ but I figured the rest might bee good.

It is so, so good and also, not a case of pairing the leftovers (if you think you don’t care for millyknives, this story will probably convert you lol).

Its 98 trigun with some trimax and stampede elements (Roberto!!). its sweet, its funny, they have ups and downs and without wanting to spoil anything, I love how it does explore that a lot of knives hate for humans stems from fear.

All the original character are great, everyone gets their time to shine, vashmeryl are so cute and silly

Absolutely amazing story and character study about vash from the view of Roberto, meryl and Wolfwood. Love how it shows that there is so much rage and other emotions bubbling under vashs cheerful attitude because knives tormenting him one way or another is not so easily brusched of. But my favorite part might be that it also shows vashs silly and clumsy persona isn’t all fake either, rather it is an exaggeration of genuine traits he has. Also some really great Roberto rep!

Look, I’m not usually one for poetry stile and it never occurred to me before to give it a try. It’s worth getting over the hang up though. And especially of vash getting the chance to show ww the geodome and for him to have a chance to be actually comforted after what happened to livio. It’s a really sweet one, though of course Wolfwood and vash cant make things too easy on themselves… communication is hard isn’t it boys

Cid hadn‘t told them much about the mission, as usual, but still, something felt fishy about this one. What was most suspicious was that Cid had this slight smirk on her face the entire briefing while she neglected details on whatever would await them at their destination in favor of talking about how they would thank her for this mission once they come back.

Tensions were high on the Marauder. Everyone hoped Cids indications would mean better payment this time around. While Omega was asleep in her Gunner Mount/Room the rest of the batch gathered in the cockpit.

Wrecker, who sat in the copilot seat, broke the silence first. „I don‘t know what’s going on with Cid and this mission. I just hope we‘re gonna get paid and not killed.“ He crossed his arms, pouting.

„It will be a rather simple extraction. To be completely honest, calling it a pick-up would be more fitting. We will meet the target on Mos Eisley. Though I do wonder how they ended up there and why we are sent to bring them back. This mission seems to mock our abilities“ Tech replied, sounding just slightly angry at this extraction not having to make use of his heightened intelligence. „We‘re approaching Tatooine.“

Hunter leaned against the back wall, brows furrowed. He didn’t like this. Usually, when they were sent on simpler missions, only two of them would go, but Cid insisted they would need all hands on deck on this one. It didn‘t make sense to him. Deep in thought, he almost didn‘t notice the small hands pulling on his arm.

„It‘s gonna be fine, Hunter, don‘t worry. It could be fun!“ Omega smiled up at him, excited as ever. Of course, she had never been to Tatooine before, so that fact alone made her excited to go through on this mission. Though that excitement quickly vanished.

“You‘re staying on the ship. The mission is simple, but we‘re not gonna take you into Jabba's Palace. That place is swarming with scum.“ And with that, her smile dropped.

Hunter knelt down to be able to talk to her face to face. „It‘s for the better. It‘s nasty in there, you wouldn‘t wanna see it anyways.“ Her patted her on the shoulder before standing up again. By this time they already entered the atmosphere of the planet and were getting ready to land in front of Jabba‘s Palace.

Shortly after leaving the ship the batch found themselves in front of the massive doors leading into the Hutt's Palace.

“I‘ve only heard horror stories about this place. Can‘t say I‘m excited to go in there.“ Echo commented with an already disgusted look on his face, despite not even having entered the building yet. „It‘s gonna be a quick job. We‘ll be in and out in no time. We just pay the bail and leave with the target, that‘s it.“ Hunter responded.

This triggered an annoyed huff from Wrecker. „Great, another mission where we can‘t blow anything up.“ The gates were opened for them and quickly after placed in front of Jabba to state their business.

„We‘re here to bail out one of your captives.“ Hunter tried to keep the conversation short, not desiring to speak to the Hutt more than necessary. Tech handed over the payment to one of Jabba‘s servants at the same time, also wanting to leave as fast as possible. To nobody‘s surprise, all of them felt uneasy in an establishment like this, with bounty hunters all around.

The protocol droid finally translated whatever Jabba was saying. „Your prisoner will be brought up shortly. Jabba wishes for you to leave with him as quickly as you can, he can not bear to hear any more of his voice.“

Just then their target was brought in, a sight to behold. He walked in, with the most dazzling blue eyes any of them had ever seen. Body moving in a perfect curve, hair just shaggy enough, and beard perfectly trimmed. He looked at them, one after another, through perfectly curled lashes.

It took Hunter hitting his shoulder for Wrecker to snap back out of this state of hypnosis. „Wrecker, get him.“

His cheeks turned slightly red before going up to the hostage and taking him from Jabba‘s guards. They immediately made their way towards the exit. Wrecker tried to ignore the fact that he was guiding this incredibly attractive man out of imprisonment.

The man‘s head turned towards him, ever so slightly and elegantly, like every movement he had seen from him so far. „THANK YOU.“ he whispered. This wasn‘t directed at them as a group, but exclusively at Wrecker, making his face grow even hotter. He could only muster up a grunt as a response, feeling flustered.

Omega waited for them in front of the Marauder.

“I told you to stay inside.“ Hunter shouted towards the girl, slightly irritated. „I‘m fine. I got bored so I wanted to at least wait outside for you.“ she yelled back. Then, her glance shifted from Hunter to the hostage her brothers were bringing with them. Her eyes widened, jaw dropped.

Everybody stopped in their tracks, expecting the worst from Omega‘s facial expression. A ambush, maybe. But her eyes rested on their acquired target.

“Woah, is that Mr Beast??????“

A year before the events of The Phantom menace, 24-year-old padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi and his master Qui-Gon Jinn are sent to Mandalore to broker peace among Mandalorian factions on the brink of war.

The negotiations are difficult and tensions are rising. Not just between the factions themselves, but also between the young negotiator, and the son of the current mand'alore. 33-year-old Jango Fett.

As negotiations start to fail, and several assassination attempts occur, it becomes ever so clear that there is no simple resolve for Mandalore and civil war is imminent.

The tensions between Jango and Obi-Wan are rising as well, first hating each other at opposite sides, but slowly learning to work together and seeing one another for who they really are.

Things come to an end when Jango declares his love for Obi-Wan. (nine months after meeting him, 3 months before the phantom menace) The two consummate their love. Meanwhile, war breaks out and Jaster Mereel is killed by Clan Vizsla.

Eventually, the new Mandalorians win the war, with Satine Kryze as the new ruler of Mandalore.

Jango Fett and his clan, what's left of it, is displaced to the planet Koboh. For no other reason than I wanna write Mandalorian bounty hunters that are also space cowboys.

Events of the phantom menace occur, Qui-Gon Jinn is killed on Naboo, but in a twist of fate, the council decides not to train Anakin.

Feeling like he has no other choice, Obi-Wan leaves the Jedi council to train Anakin himself and uphold his promise to Qui-Gon.

Twist number 2, turns out Obi-Wan is pregnant with triplets.

Obi-Wan leaves Coruscant with nine-year-old Anakin.

And along his journey in training Anakin, frees Schmi Skywalker from slavery. Meets a group of young Mandalorian foundlings that used to be from Clan Mereel but were displaced during the clan's exile ranging from 17 years of age (Cody/Kote), 16 years old (Rex), 15 years old Hunter, 14-year-olds Crosshair & Tech (twins) and Wrecker, 12 years old Echo & Fives (twins).

Together with only Schmi to control and guide a ragtag team of teenagers, A pregnant Obi-Wan has to find his way in a tumultuous galaxy until he inadvertently makes his way to Koboh and reunites with Jango.

And that's what I have so far.

When Kells sat down with his family around him, his mate on one side, and his sons on the other he wasn't sure if he did in fact ‘got this’ as Dom had said. Mod, Tom, Trav, and his mother were on the other couch and his best friend was setting his cell on the table. His knee automatically started bouncing and he thought about running back to their bedroom and hiding. He was supposed to have weeks for a break but his father going on live TV fucked everything up. His men didn't even know the full story but he was sure they heard that bastard's words- ‘Colson tried to tempt me. Just like his mom.’ Or however he'd worded his disgusting lies. He was positive everyone in the home had heard what he yelled at the screen but did Mod know? Tim must. Any of the men who were around when he was young. Fuck. He couldn't look any of them in the face and call himself a leader could he?

Blain eased Punk to one arm and reached over for Col’s hand. It struck him suddenly that if he let himself feel shame for all he'd been through he was basically telling this boy he should be ashamed too. That any time he was hurt it was his fault. That he couldn't be strong for being put through hell. That's not what he wanted either of his boys to believe, he wanted to prove to his young omega that he could be whatever he wanted in life and he shouldn't feel anything but pride for surviving. He wanted his little Alpha to grow up knowing omegas were his equals, not less than. He didn't want his lover thinking he should hate himself for what happened when he was younger. If he didn't face this head on he would be letting down everyone he loved and himself.

He never wanted to be the face of an omega revolution, he'd spent so long lying to himself and everyone else about what he was it didn't feel fair for him to. If anything he felt like an insult to the movement but no one else was saying so. Dom had shown him his fan pages and so many sweet messages, he had support of thousands if not more. He knew he couldn't look himself in the mirror if he didn't step the fuck up but he was terrified at the same time.

“So are we thinking car bomb?” Rook spoke up from the phone and it made everyone chuckle. It broke the tension and reminded Col these were his people. He just tried to keep thinking how easy it had gone the day he came out. They all already knew. Maybe they knew this too?

He cleared his throat and sat forward, spreading his legs to lean his elbows there. He felt bad letting go of both Dom and his son but he had to focus and he was sure they understood. He needed to feel in control and he knew he wasn't doing it alone. Besides he knew himself damn well and he'd probably be pacing a hole in the carpet soon. “We can't do anything like that. Mod, this line secure?” He had to make sure and his brother nodded. He trusted his tech inclined roommates to know better than the feds. “This apology they're issuing is probably bullshit, it just means they'll be watching us closer. We can't do anything that would get us caught which means we can't make any buys this month either.” Down to business first, they can handle his dad after or preferably not at all.

“Weird idea I know but uh, why don't we just tell them what we do?” Pete offered from his line and Kells rolled his eyes.

“We can't trust they wouldn't try to step in and fuck it up. Can you name the last omegas the government actually saved? Yeah. I didn't think so. We do their job because they don't give a fuck about people like me. Besides if they found out we couldn't keep it from spilling to everyone we buy from. We'd be up shits creek without a damn paddle and I'm not doing that to what Travis built. I hate the idea of waiting, I know that's a lot of people lost but we have to give them up for long enough so we can help even more later.” He explained. It truly did hurt his heart that he couldn't help for a few months. Who knows how many omegas he'd lose the chance to save in that time.

“Tell us what you really think.” Rook teased again and he laughed softly, finally pushing up to stand so he could pace. He knew the bigger shit was coming and he hated it. He didn't want to talk about them. Ever.

“It's okay baby, I can take this.” Collette offered as he walked past her but he shook his head. He was boss, even with Travis alive and mostly well. He could handle it. Right?

“We're on your side boss, we know they were lying.” Tim spoke up and for just a moment Colson wondered why he wasn't already in his home. He glanced to his parents who were watching him pace and his brows furrowed.

“Just a sec.” He huffed.

Dom watched his mate walk straight out of their home and he shared a confused look with Tom. It was Travis who rubbed over the back of his head like he was nervous.

“Oh hey boss!” Tim's voice sounded further away from the phone before there was rustling coming through the speaker. After a moment the door opened again and Colson was dragging the beta with him. He stood in front of his mother and adoptive dad and gave them a look until the old boss scooted over.

“Stop being fucking weird. Tim is more welcome than you two assholes.” Kells huffed as he started pacing again. The beta had already helped him through a lot.

“What the fuck is happening?” Rook asked from the phone and Col threw up his hands.

“Tim was hiding in my parents apartment like a dirty little secret and I'm putting my foot down. I might have been an idiot before but I know now and I'm cool with it. Don't fuck with the good shit you actually have in your life.” The omega's gaze locked on his mate's and they shared a soft smile. Now that he knew what love was he didn't want anyone denying it. Not that he'd say anything so cheesy.

“Like I was saying. We know they're lying and we know at least some of what they did. I remember finding you Cols, we're behind you a thousand percent. Always.” The beta explained. Surprisingly Kells found himself wanting to hug the guy but he just gave him that bro nod. If he touched anyone he was pretty sure he'd break the hell down.

“I don't. Some of us don't know.” Pete spoke up and Colson thought about not explaining shit. The important people knew but… weren't they all important? He couldn't decide if he needed to do something with his hands and he thought about taking his son but Punk was sleeping happily in his big brother’s hold and the sight was too comforting to stop.

He picked up one of his boy's squishmallow stuffies. It was some kind of goblin looking fuck but the softness was nice between his fingers. He kept squeezing it or tossing it around as he walked back and forth but he wasn't sure how to talk about this. “I know some of you remember when I got here. When Travis found me. Well as my sperm donor said himself by accident, he sold both mom and me, but it wasn't because we came on to his brother. He caught the fucker…” He couldn't swallow past the lump in his throat and he was squeezing the squish too tight to his chest. He probably looked like the lost boy he felt like but Dom met his eyes and smiled.

“You all remember how hard I fought to find Colson after Travis saved me. Well it was because I worried my ex’s brother would assault him like he had me. My husband- who bought me as a child, came home to find his brother attacking me but they blamed me for it. He questioned if Col was his which of course he was. I was barely old enough to even have children. They nearly killed me and sold me, keeping my boy and moving away so I couldn't track them down.” Collette sighed, squeezing her mate's hand. Tim wrapped his arm across the back of the sofa to go around Travis's shoulders so he could rest a palm on her neck. They were sweet together if weird to see. Travis was in the middle because he was obviously the center of them. Whatever was happening. Shit, that wasn't the important thing at the moment.

“History repeats itself I guess.” Col grumbled and he caught a few curses through the phone. It was reassuring they all loved him and his mom so much but he didn't want them thinking less of him. Or thinking about it every time they saw him.

“So it was your uncle's kid? That's fucked up.” Dub huffed through the phone and Kells felt his stomach roll. He hadn't meant to explain that part really and his pulse raced. The old timers knew?

“Shit, hey. You're okay. Colson? Breathe for me.” Travis had dropped his cane after pushing himself up and he stopped in front of Kells to cup his cheeks. “We could smell it on you when we found you. It didn't matter to anyone. It still doesn't. We love you and we would have loved them too. You're our family. My son. Our leader. Don't let this fuck you up.”

After a minute Kells took a deep breath and nodded. He was pretty sure Dub muttered an apology at some point but the damage was done. He wasn't upset, he just didn't like talking about his miscarriage. Like the other said- it was deeply fucked up. “I want them both dead but we can't kill them yet. What are our options in the meantime because they're trying to fuck with my name.” The omega spoke and Travis stepped back with a proud smile but Tim had to help him sit back down. It was obvious walking without help took it out of him.

“All I can think is death.” Rook explained and Col almost laughed. There was a chorus of ‘same’ and even most of the people in the room nodded along. It was his mother who raised her hand with a smirk.

“Actually I have an idea. I don't think you're gonna like it though. Any of you.” She said, looking over at his mate and sons. It piqued his interest but honestly even if he hated it he'd do what he had to, to protect his family. They couldn't kill the men but they had to stop their talking. It could ruin their livelihoods and ability to save omegas if they kept it up.

“Let's hear it. I'll take anything at this point.” He sighed and she beamed at him. He'd do anything to help keep his family safe.

Colson had said he'd do anything for his family and his name but after everyone had left he was still warring inside over her idea. She'd explained herself in detail and it made perfect sense but he was having trouble finding the strength inside himself for all it would take. He was still pacing hours later, his son asleep in his cot. His family had either left or gone to their rooms except Dom of course. His Alpha stayed with him but kept his distance for the time being. He was terrified the killer was upset too.

“Do you think it's a good idea?” He finally asked when the world started to feel quiet. He made his feet pause and he turned to face the other man.

“I don't like it neither but I don't know wha' else we can do. Bastards plastered ‘emselves on TV to make sure we couldn't fuck wiv ‘em. Pretty sure ya mum's right. We out of options luv.” The Alpha sighed and shrugged, holding out his hand to ask his mate closer. After a moment Col walked to him and crawled into his lap, straddling him gently. He didn't want to put too much weight on the other but Dom pulled him flush against him.

The boss exhaled his stress at the relaxing feel of being held by his lover. Dominic always made him feel better. “It's gonna be stressful as fuck. I mean it's already bad getting these little stalkers outside and shit. We'll be doing this on purpose. You hate being perceived.” He joked, wrapping his arms around his partner's neck.

Dom curled his fingers around his mate's hips, his thumbs petting over his hip bones that were getting more visible by the day. For a split second he felt sad over the loss of Col’s baby bump but he shook it off and kissed the other's lips. “I can do it. Yeah it'll be awkward for a bit but I'll get used to it. Besides it ain't like anyone is gonna recognize me or nuffin, don't got no one to bover me like you do. I'll stand be’ind yas like a good boy. Besides, if I ever get caught it'll make a great chapter for all the True Crime docs about me.”

Colson rolled his eyes at his lover's joke. He hated the thought of her serial killer ever being found out and he trusted Dom would always be careful about that. For now it was completely separate, they weren't doing anything that could get them in trouble. No, for now they were just a couple that helped run a family owned PR company and a load of clubs in LA. They were company men and good boys. They were used to masks, this was just a new one. Dominic would do anything Col needed him to and he always would.

“Mmm, ya know…” Kells trailed off as he licked over his mate's lips. “If we really want to present a strong bond and family values shit…” His stomach flipped with nerves as he sat back and slid off one of his rings. He always wore the one Dom bought him on his ring finger but the one he pulled free was something Travis had gifted him long ago. It was a simple titanium band with crosses all around and he held it up between them and took a shaking breath. “I think we should get married.”

“For the story?” Dom asked. He could still remember the night he accidentally proposed and Colson had ignored him. He didn't want to say yes just to make a good picture. He wanted his partner to ask because they were in love. He knew they were, but of course his dominant needed to be in control of even this.

“For me. Because shit Dom, I need you. You're already my mate and the father of our boys and you back me up with everything. I know all this, I know I have you forever and sure maybe I'm letting this shit push me into asking now but-” The omega stopped himself from rambling and he took a breath. When their eyes met again he tried to speak from the heart as best he could. He tried to peel away every mask and facade he'd ever put up and just let his psycho see the real him that only he could find. “I wanted to say yes that night. I was terrified of something so fucking traditional and believe me if we do it in a church I'll pass the hell out.”

“I fink I'd burst into flames.”

Kells smiled at his mate's soft tease but continued. “Seeing them again… He's the reason I was scared of tradition. He married mom so young and would have married me off too. He hid behind religion and kept saying God knew she was still his forever. It fucked me up. I'm yours because I want to be. Every scar we give each other reminds me of that. I would die if I lost you, probably take your ass with me first. But I don't want to let him scare me off anything anymore. You gave me our boy and I survived it. You mated me and I survived it. Now… this is the last thing he's kept me scared of. So Dom, will you marry me and help me face one last fear and beat him again?”

The Alpha rarely felt the type of emotions that made him cry but Colson had been bringing that out of him for almost a year. He felt his eyes burn but he blinked it back, holding his hand up for his lover. “Course I will, always got your back Cols. Long as you remember I asked first.” He teased and sniffled. Kells always took the lead and he wanted just this one thing. His partner chuckled wetly as he slid the band on his finger. “So, courthouse? Vegas? Wha' ya finking?”

“Oh baby no. Just because I don't want a church wedding doesn't mean it won't be the most spectacular thing you've ever seen.” He purred as their lips met and he felt the other man swallow hard.

“It's gonna be…” Dom trailed off and Col nodded.

“Expensive as fuck. Yeah. We deserve the best of everything, don't we?” He could already picture so much of it and he couldn't wait to see his lover all dressed up. “I'm not wearing a fucking skirt.” He had to add and Dom laughed, his palms resting low on the older man's hips.

“Maybe I will.” The Alpha shrugged and rolled his mate's ass in his lap. He wasn't sure if he was trying for anything but he wanted to feel even more connected. He was just happy to finally understand what had happened before and to be able to help his partner through everything. Forever. Soon he wouldn't just be a mate and father, he'd be a husband and he was marrying the most self spoiled brat he'd ever met. He couldn't fucking wait.

Slightly intense chapter but surprise ending! I love the juxtaposition of how low-key they are personally but extravagant with what they show to the world. Part 2 - "The Pharmacy"

Summary: Bucky runs into an alarming roadblock when he tries to pick up his birth control at the pharmacy.

Part 2 - The Pharmacy

He runs a few errands just before noon, stopping at the pharmacy to pick up his birth control and at the florists to put in an order for something that he and Steve can gift to Pepper and Tony the following week.

He figures flowers are a decent, non-food way to say ‘thank you’ for having been so graciously hosted in Stark Tower once again. He selects a wicker cornucopia basket full of sunflowers and russet-colored mums.

Tony had offered to house them the minute he’d gotten wind that they were thinking of returning to New York. The long term plan for their family is still Brooklyn, but renovations on the Cobble Hill house are taking longer than anticipated. Bucky had already been seven months pregnant when they made the move back down. Between that and the girls, and then the birth and all the stress and turmoil that comes along with a newborn in the house, living in the middle of a construction zone was never something Bucky was going to seriously consider—even if the alternative meant spending that year’s major holidays with Tony Stark.

Oh well. Tony’s not a bad guy. He helped Steve and the resistance, back during the war. He managed to give Bucky hope in the middle of all that misery; hope for a future, a better life, a return to some sort of normalcy. And though the other omega has always refused to admit it, Bucky knows that Tony’s the reason why he currently has his prosthesis and isn’t still waiting at the back of a line of thousands upon thousands of equally-deserving amputees.

No, it’s not up for any kind of dispute that Tony Stark is a very good person overall, it’s just that he’s also very … extra, and all events surrounding him are thus extra. The holidays this year aren’t going to be the low key, intimate, homey family events that Bucky had pictured having with his Alpha and his new pup and the girls. It’s going to be a bit more … well, more.

But that’s okay! He’s already mourned the would-be’s of the cozy storybook Thanksgiving that they won’t be having in their forever family home this year. Next up, he’ll mourn Christmas—though he still needs to have a talk with Tony to make sure the billionaire understands that he can’t just go gifting Sarah and Becca prop planes or ponies or whatever and setting that up as the ‘norm’ in the girls’ minds, even if they are living in the Tower this year.

For the past six months they’ve been living in the same apartment they vacated three years ago, and it’s gone exactly as Bucky feared it would. The girls adore their ‘crazy uncle Tony’ who lives upstairs. They cry whenever Steve or Bucky gently tries to remind them that they’ll be moving into a house next year. And it’s not just the girls who are getting attached. The Tower is luxurious and addictive in its own insidious ways. Steve’s commute will never be better than it is now, Jarvis is basically Bucky’s housekeeper, P.A., and his second nanny, and Bucky is slowly but surely becoming re-addicted to the building’s high-tech amenities.

This was the same issue they ran into when they moved up to Cambridge for Bucky’s grad school—nobody wanting to give up the finer things in life for the simpler things in life. But look what it’d gotten them! Three years together in a tiny New England cottage, where snowy winters and close quarters had made them so many wonderful family memories to cherish forever. That’s something that money simply cannot buy, and it’s what Bucky wants for his family. It’s why they’re having an historic brownstone renovated and restored to an adapted form of its original glory. Bucky’s even able to admit that he’s turned it into a bit of a personal comfort object at this point. Just like Becca covets her ratty Olaf doll whenever she’s stressed or sick, 704 Henry St. is what Bucky’s been holding onto like a lifeline to pull him through the slog of these past few, postpartum months.

He gets to the pharmacy and passes the time spent waiting in line by daydreaming and scrolling through his Pinterest boards for the house. He’s got one entire board solely dedicated to decorating ideas, broken down even further by individual holiday. Bucky’s talked Steve to death about the decorations he’s got dreamed up for next year’s Christmas, but his husband is decidedly less interested in these things than Bucky has been. “Sounds great, babe,” is the general response he gets most days, and he’s made his peace with the fact that perhaps interior design is just something omegas enjoy more naturally than alphas do. Cliches have to originate from somewhere, after all, and this is by no means the most hard-to-swallow of the gendered stereotypes that Bucky has come to accept about himself since he first became domestic with Steve.

So his husband doesn’t care what he drapes on the original 1880’s Tudor revival bannisters, so what? That just means there’ll be no real competition on ideas, and Bucky will get his way. That works fine for him. He takes an almost vindictive level of pleasure in making mundane choices for himself these days, and he knows—because his therapist has made sure that he knows—that it has everything to do with the three years he spent being a choiceless broodmare for the state.

Whatever. That doesn’t make his new penchant for (slightly modernized) gilded age interior design any less aesthetically correct. Bucky’s got taste.

He’s just pinned another porch decoration to the sub-board, when his turn comes up in line and he steps forward. “Hi,” he says to the pharmacist, closing out the app and looking up. “Prescriptions for James Barnes-Rogers?”

The pharmacist is a friendly beta woman, but she falters once Bucky’s given her his name and she’s looked up his info on the computer. “Oh. Um, sorry. This’ll just require both signatures of …” she cranes her neck as she’s sliding a clipboard and pen towards him, looking like she expects to see someone else there with him. “Um, do you have …”

“The prescription’s for me,” Bucky reassures her. “James Barnes-Rogers?” He pulls his wallet out and retrieves his ID to hand over, rattling off his birthdate as well because he thinks that she just needs him to prove who he is, but the pharmacist is shaking her head and looking apologetically across the counter

“I’m sorry Sir, but this medication is an oral birth control meant for omegas.”

“I am omega.” Bucky frowns when she still hesitates. “I don’t understand. This isn’t the first time I’ve filled this here. What’s the holdup?”

The woman smiles tightly. “It’s been reassigned as a schedule two drug.”

“O-kay.” Bucky shrugs and goes to pull out his credit card instead. “What does that mean?”

“... A prescription like this needs the signature of both parties who’re planning to use it.”

He must blink at her for a full five seconds, he’s so taken aback. “I’m sorry, what?”

“Unfortunately, yes. So you’ll have to come back with your Alpha. I’m sorry.”

Bucky shakes his head, squinting at her. “Okay. First of all, who said my partner is alpha?” He remembers his mating bite, which definitely shows above the neckline of his jogging shirt. He tenses and has to resist the urge to reach up and cover it with his hand. “I don’t understand,” he says tightly. “It’s my medication. It’s going in my body.”

“Yes but I’m afraid we need both parties’ signa—”

“Yeah you said that already,” Bucky snaps. “What the hell?”

“Sir, I really am sorry but there’s nothing I can do. It’s a federal regulation. It’s meant for your safety. Perhaps if you just come back with your spouse—”

“And how the fuck do you get off assuming I’m married?!” he yells. The woman purses her lips and her eyes slide down to the wedding band on Bucky’s left hand. Bucky curls his hand into a fist reflexively. “Why do you need ‘both parties’ signatures?” he growls. “That’s ludicrous. It’s my birth control!”

“Unfortunately it’s the law, Sir. Both the omega and the alpha patients need to be on the script, and you both need to sign the waiver.”

“What waiver?” he snaps.

She juts her chin out and points to the clipboard. “The liability waiver acknowledging that you both understand the effects and risks of this medication. It’s a recognized abortifacient.”

“‘Abortifacient’?” Bucky scowls. “It’s a birth control pill.” His eyes rake over the woman, taking note of the little cross on the necklace she’s wearing. “The fuck is going on?”

Her eyes narrow at him. “You don’t have to curse at me, Sir. Both the omega and alpha patients have to sign. So if you’ll please just come back with your husband or wife��”

“Maybe I’m not using it with my ‘husband or wife’,” Bucky snaps, voice rising as his face heats up in anger. “Ever heard of casual sex? Maybe I’m fucking the mailman! Hell, maybe I’m going to a gang bang! Six guys at once. Do they all have to come and co-sign for my birth control?!” He realizes how loud he’s being and looks back over his shoulder at the rest of the store, where several other people who are shopping have stopped and turned their heads. At the endcap of the nearest aisle there’s an alpha who’s been perusing the boxes of hair dye, his wide eyes glued to Bucky and the pharmacist. Bucky points at him. “What if it’s him?”

“... I’m sorry?” It takes the pharmacist a moment to collect herself, and when she does, her expression turns heavily disapproving. “Sir,” she scolds. “That’s not—”

“Him!” Bucky insists, shooting her another dirty glare before he turns and stalks over to the bewildered man at the endcap. “Are you alpha?” He can tell by scent that he is, and reaches out to shake his hand. “I’m James. What’s your name?”

“Erm … R-ralph.” He shakes Bucky’s hand, albeit while looking over his shoulder towards the pharmacy counter. “What’s … happening?” he whispers.

Bucky waves his hand dismissively. “Nothing. You were listening in on our conversation, right? You heard all that, just now?”

“I … yea—n-no. No I did not. Was not. Do-doing that.”

Bucky sighs and grabs him by his jacket sleeve. “Just help me with this for a sec, will you? Fucking ridiculous.” He steers the alpha over to the still-disapproving pharmacist. “Him,” Bucky tells her angrily, taking the clipboard before she can pull it back and handing it over to his new friend. “Sign here for our birth control, Honey.”

Ralph’s face goes beet red. “Oh, um …”

“Just sign it, will you?”

“Sir,” the pharmacist fumes. “This isn’t the—”

“What? You wanted a partner, he’s my partner. I’m fucking him.”

“That is not. true,” she grits. “You just met him.”

“You gonna prove otherwise?” Bucky jabs his pointer finger down on the counter as he says, “He’s alpha. It’s his sperm, my egg, and he’s fucking signing it, okay?!”

“This is highly inappropriate, Sir. You are not—”

“Right after we leave here!” Bucky yelps manically. “Not even gonna make it all the way home. Nope! We’re going to fuck right out in the parking lot, right in our car. Isn’t that right, Honey?”

Ralph, who has by now scribbled his signature and is handing the clipboard and pen back to Bucky, doesn’t seem to know what to say. He just looks mortified. Bucky spends a whole heartbeat feeling bad about having put the guy on the spot, but then the pharmacist gets snippy and is telling Bucky that he needs to sign, too. Bucky grabs the pen up and nearly tears the paper with how violently he signs his name next to where it reads, ‘Omega Patient counseled:’

“There.” He shoves the clipboard back across the counter. “Done. Signed. ‘Abortion approved’. You happy? Oh and by the way? I’ve had an abortion: This is not the abortion pill.”

She goes tight-lipped, taking the clipboard back and primly ringing up his purchase. “That’ll be eleven dollars and eighty cents,” she sniffs.

Bucky stares her down as he taps his card to pay, and the split second that she’s got the receipt printed and stapled to the bag, he’s snatching it out of her hands. “Fucking ridiculous,” he hisses, whirling around to leave. “Stay out of my goddamn uterus.”

“I don’t set the policy, Sir,” her snotty little voice cuts out from behind. “These rules are just to make sure people are educated about what they’re putting in their bodies.”

Bucky’s fingers curl into the crinkly paper of the pharmacy bag. He watches C-SPAN, he knows that’s not what it’s about, just like he knows a fucking birth control pill isn’t an ‘abortifacient’, and that no one but a holy-fucking-roller would ever call it that. He’s just about ready to turn back around and snap at her about how the only thing that’s getting ‘put in his body’ is his husband’s dick.

… But then his eyes catch on poor Ralph, who is already back at the endcap shelves—ostensibly intent on his shopping, but still looking quite mortified. His fingers hover over a box and he picks it up with a still-red face.

For Ralph’s sake, Bucky restrains himself from any further nasty comments, choosing to walk away from the nitwit pharmacist and towards the exit instead. “Thank you,” he mutters as he’s passing by. And then, nodding at the box of Midnight Black #106 that the other man is considering, furtively advises, “... don’t do it.”

Ok so I doodled out some sketches for an au where Dolph was pregnant when Alex betrayed him. I’m putting it under cut for topics of mpreg, pregnancy horror , blood , child birth and the like , please don’t read on if that makes you uncomfortable

Don’t ask me how Dolph got pregnant (trans or some nonsense sci fi tech? Schrödinger's Gender!) but he did tell Alex just after the heist…… Alex still betrayed him anyways

Jade and Bullfrog help Dolph during his pregnancy and when the kid is born , they try coming up with an escape plan while not dying from one of Sarah’s missions. The three become incredibly close to one another during this time and end up being co parents

Kid’s name is Sky, which is iconic because he’s not gonna see the sky till he’s at least 4

Also Pey’J dies in this au but idk about Cody. He probably baby sits

29. Favourite and Least Favourite Episodes:

Ooooh, good question! Let's start with the negativity so we can end on a high note 😅

I... honestly would put most of Picard seasons 2 & 3 in the "least favourite" category 🙈 If I had to pinpoint some lowlights, it'd be "Fly Me to the Moon". It's not a bad episode in itself and in isolation, I might not mind it, but the two times I watched through season 2 in order, this was the episode where I found myself crying and/or shaking with rage and disappointment when it was over. Probably becuase it really drives home that they're serious about where they're going with this series I used to love and it's not somewhere I can follow.

Disregarding that... I have a terrible memory for this kind of thing 😅 And I guess it depends on what you mean by "least favourite".

I think one objective measure to use: I don't ever want to see the ENT mpreg episode again, where everyone acts like Trip Tucker having his bodily autonomy violated in a horrendous way is The Funniest Shit™. That has seared itself into my brain so much that when I was rewatching all of TNG, DS9, VOY, and ENT to take notes for the holo-tech database, it's actually the only episode I wanted to skip.

There are also some real bombs in season 1 of TNG, and some of the Ferengi episodes in DS9 are firmly on my "no thank you" list. But yeah, I think the involuntary mpreg takes the cake, honestly.

Now for the much funner part: There are SO MANY episodes I truly love! DS9's "Take Me Out to the Holosuite" and "Badda-Bing Badda Bang", PIC's "Broken Pieces", VOY's "Concerning Flight" (which is apparently controversial?), "Drive", "Bride of Chaotica!", also any VOY episode that has Naomi Wildmann in it...

There are also A Ton of Deep and Dramatic episodes I love, but from my instinctive answers I'm realizing that what draws me to an episode as a "favourite" is apparently "It's fun!" (and likely involves the holodeck? 🙈🤣) So yeah, if we're talking favourite, not best, it's probably something along these lines.

39. You have to relocate to a planet other than Earth, which do you choose?

Hm, that's a tough one. I feel like not that many planets readily spring to mind, so I'll have to really think about this.

It'd probably be near the centre of the Federation for that sweet, sweet post-capitalist utopia (and also because my family is presumably still on Earth and I want to be able to visit Very Frequently.

Vulcan is a big No, because my body does not function above 25° C🙈 I love snow and ice, though, so Andoria might be a real option (though not technically a planet, I guess 😋).

Beyond that, I'm honestly drawing a blank. I think I haven't seen enough TOS/TNG in a while, so I don't remember too many worlds they visited. But yeah, probably somewhere that's close to the Sol, close to the centre of the Federation, has good temperate-to-colder climate to live in... In the end, it would probably very much depend on why I'm relocating and whom with.

40. If you got a Trek inspired tattoo, what would it be?

Another tough one 😅 I don't have any tattoos and don't think I'll ever get any. For one, I'm way too scared of that kind of long-term commitment, but also my skin has Issues™ and I don't know how long a tattoo would look decent.

If I were to get one, though? Let's be honest, it would be some version of the Sirena logo. That little ship has shaped my life in ways more profound than I can even say. Sirena and her crew got me to write again after over a decade, gave me so, so, SO much joy, not to mention all the incredible, wonderful friends I foud along the way (that's you!)

I think for me, Sirena stands for found family, friendship, healing, creativity, allowing myself to feel joy in my nerdiness and head for new adventures. So yeah.

If not that, probably some variation of IDIC, either the symbol or the saying in Vulcan script 🤔
