Who wants to see ancient Neoshipping fankids? ... we're not waiting for an answer, meet... I think their names were Miya (no relation to Miyamoto, I just thought it was cute) and Kuri. Yeah, he's just named chestnut, I don't remember why, my rp partner at the time named him, but it's very Pokemon a name, I think. Trees, flowers, nuts...

The little boy was just blonde Masato (Max) a little nerd. Can't believe I didn't give him a pocket protector for all those pens.

The little girl was cutesy and mischievous and carried a Teddiursa Poke Doll with a GUN IN ITS HEAD (sadly not depicted, because I did not know how to draw Teddiursa... or guns, for that matter.) I think I definitely got the idea from Baby Doll in Batman: the Animated Series, fff.

I don't know why they're both blonde, is Kosaburo's green hair that recessive a trait... xD;;;

The boy's hair is so...... unfortunate.... or it would be incredibly mundane and NPC-like, if I knew proper anatomy at all.

Now that it's been a week since Ash's okay finale I'm just gonna say it's still a travesty that the anime will never get to pull the trigger on the following things

Main villain Giovanni and his defeat

Team Rocket departure and redemption

We'll never know what happened to Team Rocket's Domino, Pierce or Dr Zager

Butch and Cassidy never resolved their rift

Misty getting a water-type starter (no seriously the audacity of the anime to tease giving Misty Totodile, back out, and then give Brock a water-starter the first series she wasn't in!)

Confronting the debacle of how Misty would react to a Water/Bug type

Ash never gets to fight Nemona, even though the whole Paldea multi-path storyline is tailor made for him, Nemona, Penny and Arven to adventure through the 3 layers of Ash's core personality (love of battles, love of Pokémon, love of friendship)

Rematches with Tobias, Alain (properly, not that bullshit with Leon), and Harrison

May and Max meeting Clemont and Bonnie

Ash's Primeape never came home from the war of Pokémon pro wrestling, even though a fresh new evolution was waiting for him

Misty never reunited with Togetic

Brock never reunited with Vulpix

We never got a full episode of Ash reuniting with Butterfree, 147 episodes of Journeys including fillers of Ash and Go getting high on Slowbro/Slowking shells and having a curry fight but we couldn't fit room for Ash to reunite with his first capture

Fun Facts From The OG Pokemon Anime

(that the Pokemon company themselves seem to have forgotten)

Team Rocket Meowth is supposed to be the only Meowth that stands on its hind legs. He had a whole backstory in "Go West Young Meowth" about teaching himself to walk and talk like a human to impress a rich pet Meowth (spoiler: it did NOT work). The original game supports this, as the Meowth sprite is sitting, but I think every game sprite since then has just copied Team Rocket's Meowth. Alolan and Galar Meowth have always been shown on two legs, so they might just be Like That as part of their regional variations, but Kanto Meowth is primarily quadrupedal.

Ditto are able to become perfect copies of whatever they transform into. The ONLY Ditto that retained its ._. face when transformed was Duplica's Ditto in "Ditto's Mystery Mansion," and the whole episode revolved around Duplica trying to help Ditto fix this quirk. (Ironically, Team Rocket scared it into doing so, being accidentally helpful as is their way.) Granted, the Ditto in Detective Pikachu was experimented on, so that one might have an actual genetic malfunction.

Jesse, James, and Meowth's motto is apparently a hilariously positive messed-up version of the ACTUAL Team Rocket Motto. According to Team Rocket members Butch and Cassidy in "The Breeding Center Secret," this is how it's supposed to go: To infect the world with devastation! To blight all people in every nation! To denounce the goodness of truth and love! To extend our wrath to the stars above! [Team Member Names Here] We're Team Rocket, circling Earth all day and night. Surrender to us now or you will surely lose the fight!
