warnings: 18+!! please
writers note: i had this idea for a long time and i literally waited for someone to ask about it omg i just cant decide wether to make a part2 or not😓
"so it's not just gonna happen like that,
'cause I ain't no hollaback girl"
You and other cheerleaders had a rehearsal while one of your school soccer teams practised in the field behind you. This whole 'rehearsal' was just an excuse to meet and watch the footbal game, as you all already knew every move of your not-complicated plan.
You sat on one of the benches, listening to your friends talk, as you watched the players run after each other. She rolled up her shirt to 'wipe the sweat off of her forehead' but everyone knew it's just an attempt to show of her toned body. For a second she revealed hers simple, black, sports bra. Some girls, obviously the lesbian ones, started giggling and biting their lips, even though Williams didn't seem to care. You could proudly admit you're the only one who wasn't eating out of her hand - your friend had to nudge your arm with her elbow, whispering little; "Look at her!" to make you give Ellie some attention.
"That's disgusting." You mumbled, clearly meaning girls' reaction, not the girl herself.
"What? Why does that even matter?" Asked Lucy, nudging you once more. "Just look at her. Look at that body. Don't you want that for yourself?" She chuckled, and you frowned, but you couldn't help but stare at the attractive girl on the field. Her skin glistened in the summer sun, and her abs were defined in the most distracting way possible. Suddenly, the soccer practice wrapped up, and Ellie walked over to the group of girls. Lucy winked at you. "Enjoy the show."
"Hi, ladies." She playfully greeted your group.
"Heyyy, Ellie." Lucy said with a grin. The other girls in the group greeted her warmly as well, but you remained quiet.
She glanced over at you and smiled, noticing your silent and slightly annoyed expression. "Not feeling well?" She asked, her smile becoming a teasing smirk.
You couldn't stop yourself from rolling your eyes. "I'm just fine." You murmured, your gaze shifting to Ellie for a short second.
Her teasing smirk grew wider. "Oh, come on. You can look at me longer than that." She chuckled, raising her eyebrows at you. Ellie leaned in closer, and you could feel the heat on her body as she spoke. "Isn't it a little weird that you haven't been checking me out like all the other girls here?"
"They're the weird ones. Drooling at the sight of you kicking a ball." You pointed at each one, making fun of them, just like always. They all laughed as you turned back to Ellie, fixing your skirt.
"That's fair." Ellie smirked again, leaning closer, which caused your friends to make 'ooh-ing' and 'aah-ing' noises. Suddenly, she bent down and picked up your water bottle. "Mind if I take a sip?" She asked but before you could answer, she was already unscrewing it. You couldn't help but awkwardly look down as her lips touched the spot that yours usually occupied.
"No, actually, I do mind that." You exclaimed, trying to reach for the bottle. But Ellie stepped back, teasing you with it, as if it was some kind of game.
"Aw, come on. Sharing is caring, right?" She said, still smirking.
"You're ridiculous." You said, glaring at Ellie. She laughed, not at all bothered by the tension between the two of you.
Luccy shook her head and whispered; "Jesus, she's so into you."
"Into me? She's ruining our practices with those little antics!" You shouted in a whisper, trying to make it seem unsuspectingly.
"Yeah - to get your attention. Can't you see that?" She stopped for a second, trying to come up with any examples. "Do you remember when you missed one of our meetings? She came to us, immediately asking 'Where's your leader, girls?' even though two other girls weren't there too! But of course she noticed your absence first." She seemed to notice the look on your face - the 'shut up, you're overreacting' one, so she quickly continued; "And when we told her you had to go to the doctor she looked worried. Fucking worried! Can you beli-...?"
Your friend stopped speaking as she saw Ellie getting closer again. She gave you your water back and ruffled your hair, sitting in front of you.
You knew what's going to happen - as soon as other girls will stop paying attention to her, she'll start tease, compliment, sometimes taunt you for a while. Before she could make any comment on your 'too tight top' or 'too insipid water', you stood up and hugged Lucy, murmuring simple; "I'm tired, I'll go home earlier." You waved to the rest of the group and went to an empty, as always in the afternoon, dressing room.
Instead of changing back to 'everyday clothes', you sat down and started pointlessly scroll through the internet. You got so caught up in reading one of the 'See if your cat is healthy!' articles (you don't have a cat) that only someones' footsteps brought you down to earth. You went into one of the changing rooms, hoping to finally dress up, but you were still focused on your phone.
Eventually, someone started speaking.
"I don't know, it's weird. Cheerleaders weren't supposed to be so stubborn." You heard Ellie's voice, followed by her footsteps. It sounded like she was nervously pacing around the room. "I mean, they aren't, just the leader. The prettiest, yet the hardest to get." A pause. "What? No! She's definitely into girls. She was dating the captain of the rival's team.. What was her name again?" Another pause. "Right, Vi. What does she has, that I don't?" And another pause, much longer this time.
Vi was your ex girlfriend - you two broke up after she cheated on you. There was a huge drama going on, almost everyone in school turned out to be involved. It was long ago though, you already moved on.
You frowned, trying to hold back your amusement. Ellie's voice was almost... desperate.
She laughed, breaking your thoughts. "I know, I know! But jesus, what is wrong with her? I make it so obvious!... What? Of course, I'm not saying- Look, she's not easy, that's the best part. I don't remember anyone else reacting so negatively to my teasing comments. Her friend told me-... Hush, that's what I'm saying!"
You froze. Of course she was talking about you, you knew she does. Her teammates or other cheerleaders always tell you when she does. 'Ellie was asking, if you-' this, 'Ellie asked me to tell you-' that. She could have everyone she'd want to, except you. That's why she was so obsessed with you, you expected her to rant about it. What catched you off-guard was 'Her friend told me-'. Lucy knew everything about you - the fact you hate Ellie's attitude but it turns you on at the same time, too. The fact you don't check her out in public isn't because you don't find her attractive, quite the opposite - you don't want to get distracted, too. How much of those embarrasing behaviours Ellie may know about from your dear friend?
The call ended but you could still hear her pacing around.
'What am I doing? I'll just change up and go home, like nothing happened ' you thought. And that would be really the best option but when you looked around, you realised you left your backpack outside.
Ellie seemed to notice that too, muttering some curse words.
There was no point in hiding. You came out and tossed your phone to your bag. Her eyes awkwardly followed you, she was waiting for you to speak up.
"I may accidentally overhear something." You said, pretending to look for something in your backpack.
"I figured that out already." She said sarcastically.
"Well..." You turned around to face her. "What do you expect from me?"
She chuckled, her embarrassment fading away. "Any reaction would be good. I just need to know..." She took a few steps towards you and thought about it for a moment, before adding; "Or you can pretend you heard nothing."
Now it was your turn to laugh. "And let you get away with it? No, thanks. That was fucking weird, you should feel bad. Who were you even talking to? Your mom?"
She smirked, leaning on the table you were standing near to. "A teammate, actually. You know Riley? Or are you so busy pretending you're not staring at me the whole practices that you don't remember any other players?"
You decided to ignore her last question. "Oh yeah, yeah, Riley. She's the blonde haired one, right?" You asked, pretending to remember.
"No, she's not. Whatever." Ellie leaned in closer, putting her elbows on the table and looking you in the eyes. "Look, I won't pretend that I wasn't talking about you. I like you, okay? Simple as that."
"Here you are, all that just for shits and giggles." You said, still grinning, obviously taking it as a joke. It's Ellie fucking Williams, of course she's just messing around! "You're lucky I'm not completely cruel, or I'd punch you by now."
Ellie smirked at you, her eyebrows still raised. She seemed to enjoy teasing you, but there was a seriousness in her eyes that she tried to hide. You wondered if she was just flirting, or if these feelings truly meant something to her. "Why won't you just kiss me instead?"
You rolled your eyes.
Ellie was persistent, that was for sure. She was also gorgeous, which only made her all the more seductive. "Why not?" she asked with a grin.
"Because I don't go around kissing every girl that flirts with me." You laughed.
"Am I not special enough for you?" She pouted. She was still a flirty mess, but now you were starting to think she might mean this. She was actually asking you for a kiss, as if she expected you to say yes.
"I don't kiss just anybody." You said, trying to be as serious as possible. "You're going to have to earn it."
Ellie raised her eyebrows, clearly intrigued by your response. She looked at you with a sly smirk, and you could tell she really wanted that. "How do I earn it?" She asked, getting closer to you.
"Win the tomorrow's match." You patted her back and left, not waiting for her reaction.
Tomorrow's match - two best teams and leaders rivaling - Ellie and the well known Vi.

3. Wonder why you took a risk on a broken heart you cannot fix
Masterlist - Previously - Next
Chapter soundtrack: Purple Irises - Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton
Another DNF. On a track he loved and had witnessed him achieving great performances. But now, being out after not even a corner, it was painful. He knew he couldn’t have done anything to avoid it but still, it was a bitter feeling. And a feeling that didn’t go away when he saw you waiting for him, your mic ready. He hadn’t talked to you ever since that day at the restaurant, didn’t ask for your number, didn’t ask for your social media, didn’t ask for anything and a part of him regretted it. Kind of. He had promised to show you not everyone was untrustworthy but didn’t even think to ask for a means to contact you. He knew it was stupid but he hated empty promises. He was man of his word and to think he could let you down like everybody else was unsettling for him.
He moved to you, Silvia by his side and gulped, bracing himself for a petty question that surprisingly didn’t come through.
“A very sad day for you Charles, can you tell us what happened with Lance?”
“I don’t know, I haven’t been able to watch the images yet but I guess he thought he had space and clearly, it was not the case.”
“Two DNF in three races, it’s not the start of the season you hoped it would be. What are your plans for now?”
“See what went wrong and try to learn from it with the team. That’s the best we can do and we will come back stronger next time.”
“Thank you Charles.”
As she was cutting her microphone he saw you looking at him.
“I’m sorry about the race. Truly.”
“No teasing this time?” he asked, surprised.
“I’m not a heartless monster.” you replied as Silvia pushed him to go talk to other media.
The meeting with her team went nice. They talked a bit about race, debriefing each other's interventions of the day and looked at what they should have done better. You were happy when Marion told you that you had improved, your questions sharper and more precise, and happy, you had decided to wander the paddock in search of new information or to meet interesting new people. That is something you’ve always liked to do, hanging out somewhere to get the atmosphere and to have conversations with people who could provide you with new enlightenments about contracts, performances or any changes inside the teams. You had learned it while being in New-York, during one of your internships while you were covering basketball games where your boss had told you to let your ears wander. A few words that you were clinging onto. Near the Mercedes hospitality, you had not expected to run into Mick who was coming out of it, a bottle of water in his hands. Out of habits you smiled at him, giving him a little nod which he took as an invitation to talk to you.
“Hey! I saw you around, right? The new interviewer for French TV?”
“That should be me, yes. Y/N, nice to meet you.” you greet him.
You found it surprisingly easy to talk to Mick. The discussion flowed, laughter could be heard from the other side of the paddock and soon the sun was setting. He was friendly, caring, and offered her to sit somewhere so they didn’t have to stand in the middle of the way.
“You know, I’m going to a bowling place tonight with some friends. Do you want to tag along?”
“I don’t know. I’m not sure it’s very professional of me.”
“No pressure, of course. The offer stands but we all need to let go from time to time.” he added, winking at you before leaving.
You spent another half an hour debating with yourself on whether or not you should go. You could use some friends for sure, and Mick is not a bad guy, you know it. He doesn’t have any hidden agenda behind his kindness, he just genuinely wants to get to know you and be your friend. And you saw how some journalists are buddy-buddy with the drivers, including in your own team. So why couldn’t you? You took a deep breath and decided that for once, you would have fun. And it had been a while since you had gone to a bowling area. You quickly went back to your hotel room to change into more comfortable clothes and you met Mick there. You recognised Esteban there as well and you were not surprised, you knew the two drivers were closed.
You had fun. More fun than what you expected coming here. You sucked at bowling but it didn’t stop you from laughing. You also enjoyed Esteban’s calm confidence and how laid back he was. You told him you felt sorry about his crash with Pierre, Alpine could have realized something amazing out there.
“I know, I’m gutted. It’s not the start of the season we hoped it would be, for sure. But the season is long, so we have time to improve.”
“I’m sure it will keep on being better, Esteban. Trust your team.” Mick said, coming to them, a grin on his face. He sat down next to you before turning his head in your direction. “I’m glad you decided to come. I wasn’t sure you would.”
“I’m happy I did, it’s been a while since I’ve felt this relaxed.” you confessed. “I don’t have many friends, I’m not good at making connections.”
“Well you have us, now.” Mick shrugged.
“Aren’t you afraid that I’ll betray you?”
“Do you intend to?”
“No.” you admitted after a few seconds.
“Then it’s all good.” he smiled.
“You trust people easily, you know. A little too easily.”
“A few years ago, I wasn’t like that. I was doubting everyone and everything. I thought people only wanted to be around me because of my dad and not because of me. And then I decided to stop caring because usually those people end up leaving at the first obstacle. It’s better to give people a chance than being closed off. My friends are basically my second family, my home away from home. I’m a family guy, it’s tough for me to be away from them, so that’s why my friends are so important.”
“I’m not that close to my family.” you confessed and your heart wrenched at the thought.
“Because of your job?”
“That and I made a few mistakes in the past that really altered our relationship. And a lot of regrets, mostly about my brother. When you’re halfway across the world, it’s tough to be there when he needs you most. I should have been there for him.”
“It’s never too late to fix things.”
You gave him a sad smile and a shrug. You don’t want to bother him with your complicated family’s stories. And frankly, you don’t want to think about them.
“I understand you know, the regrets. I have so many when I think about my dad. I’ve never told him I loved him enough, I should have told him everyday. I even regret things that are so far ahead in the future, like my wedding, my first kid… I often think about how he won’t be completely there to see all of that.” he bitterly said.
“At least he is there. Even if it’s not how you want it.”
“I guess.”
When you ended up leaving, after this very heartfelt conversation, you felt somehow relieved. Maybe he was right, you didn’t have to assume the worst about people. You took your phone out of your pocket and looked at your lock screen. A picture of you and your brother. You smiled tenderly, you missed him.
Coming back to Paris and to your flat felt weird after such magical weeks. The gloomy weather made you regret the sun on your skin and you definitely didn’t miss the messy public transportation. Your days were filled with preparing the next races, organizing a few livestreams here and there where you invited fans to talk about the first few races of the season. And thanks to your connection at Alpine and the good relationship you had started to build with the drivers you even managed to get an interview from Pierre where you get to talk about his first weeks in his new team. It had been a nice and chill discussion more than an interview and you were happy to see that people had liked the concept and hoped you would keep it going with other people.
Despite how happy you were feeling about your week, it had still been a busy one and you couldn’t wait to go home and hop in your shower to relax before going out again to meet your best friend in a nice parisian restaurant. You arrived earlier than her and got to your table as the waiter gave you the menu and asked if you wanted to drink something. You ordered a Martini and started to wait for her, scrolling on your phone to pass the time. But as if fate had decided to play with you tonight, right when you decided to lift your chin, you saw him entering the restaurant. Charles Leclerc. And in good company if you could judge by the brunette walking right behind him. A date you thought to yourself. You unconsciously sat further down in your seat in hope he wouldn’t recognise you. You couldn’t help but give him little glances, your curiosity getting the best out of you. It didn’t last long, though, as your friend soon arrived and Charles wasn’t in your mind anymore.
“You have so many things to tell me and I have so many questions for you!”
You laughed. She has always been your number one supporter no matter what you were going through in your life. You didn’t expect anything else from her. Happily, you told her everything, even the slightest detail.
“So, who is the hottest? And is there anyone who is single?” she whispered to you as if you were both part of a gigantic conspiracy.
“I don’t know, I don’t really think about it. And I don’t have the mental space for that.”
She knew what you were implying. She knew all too well. She put a hand on yours and squeezed it gently before diverting the discussion to a lighter topic. The conversation flowed until your friend received a call. She quickly apologized to take it in a quieter space and came back a few minutes later, biting her lip, visibly worried.
“I got a call from my mom… my grandmother fell at home and she hit her head. She is at the hospital… I’m sorry I have to cut our dinner short, but…”
“Dont. I understand. Go.” you reassured her as she threw her arms around you and kissed your cheek before making her way out.
He was fed up. Clearly, he was not having the time of his life. The girl right in front of him had been sent by Ferrari and Silvia in another attempt to set him up with someone. No pressure, she had told him, she just wanted him to meet her and who knows? Maybe they would hit it off. And if it wasn’t the case, then she would leave him alone. For now. So he had agreed, a few weeks of peace seemed like a good option.
But he was bored out of his mind. The girl, who seemed nice, he had nothing against her, was agreeing to everything he was saying and was waiting for him to hold the conversation. He hated that. He needed someone who could challenge him, someone who didn’t care about who he was and clearly the brunette in front of him wasn’t what he wanted. They weren’t even at the main course that she had already mentioned the growth of her following and the new opportunities being seen with him would bring her, if they decided to date. He hated it. And he didn’t intend to spend one more minute in her presence. When the waiter came to take their order, he looked him straight in the eyes.
“You know, come to think of it, I’m not hungry. Can I have the bill instead?”
He knew it was a dick move, and if his mother would hear of it she would most certainly give him an earful. But it would still be more enjoyable than sitting there. He apologized, quickly made sure that the girl knew he had no interest in going out with her another day and made his way out to pay. That’s when he noticed you, alone, sipping on your drink. He could laugh. Out of all places, he had to cross your path. As if acting on their own, his feet carried him to your table.
“Fancy, seeing you here.” he said, making you look up. He expected to see a surprised look on your face but it wasn’t the case. You didn’t take your eyes off of him, making him slightly uncomfortable. “What are you doing here, all alone? A date who hasn’t shown up?”
“I was supposed to meet my friend but she couldn’t stay for long, an emergency came up. So here I am, sipping my drink, alone. It’s okay. I’m enjoying my very own company. And that very tasteful assortment of pastries. I most likely won’t be able to eat that alone, though.” you shrugged, putting a piece of chocolate cake in your mouth.
“You know, I’m in a mood for sweet… care to share?”
You were about to offer him to sit with you when he quickly recalled that his date was still there.
“Actually, would you mind getting a doggy bag and going elsewhere to eat? I kind of want to get the hell out of here.”
“Your date wasn’t that good, I assume then.” you said as a matter of fact.
“How did you…”
“I have eyes. I saw you.”
“You saw me…” he repeated, wiggling his eyebrows.
“I was facing the door.”
And suddenly he felt stupid about trying to see a deeper meaning in her words than what she intended to.
Out of the restaurant, they both wandered along the docks, enjoying the fresh air and the almost empty streets, the bag of cakes between them as they were sharing in a natural way. Almost as if they had done it all their life. Charles told her all about his very bad date and enjoyed making her laugh.
“Glad to see my very poor and inexistent love life is entertaining.” he smiled.
“It really is. I mean, look at you. You have the fame, the money, the good looks you could have anyone you wanted and here you are, having the exact same issues as us common people.”
“Believe it or not, but dating has become harder and harder the more famous I become. Whatever that means. We are all searching for the same thing, at the end of the day and famous or not. We want someone to complete us. Someone we feel good with.”
“Yeah, it’s not easy to find.”
“Clearly not.”
They kept walking in silence, enjoying each other’s company.
“I’m shocked you don’t try to pry or snoop around. You could ask so many questions about the season and try to get insides… but you don’t. Why?”
“I’m outside of my job hours. Right now, I’m just Y/N and not Y/N the very insufferable journalist. And you hate my questions, it’s me who should be shocked that you want to hear them.”
“I don’t hate them, I just don’t understand why I seem to be the only one to be on the receiving end of your bluntness. Every freaking time.” he defended himself.
You let out a sigh.
“They are legitimate questions and they are always validated by the team before being asked, if something was out of line they would tell me and I wouldn’t ask them.” you simply said.
Charles felt that there must be something else, something she wasn’t saying but they didn’t know each other well enough for him to dare ask her. From the corner of his eye, he saw her repressing a yawn.
“It’s late, do you need someone to drive you back home safely?” he asked.
“No.” she immediately said. “I mean, it’s kind of you, really. This whole hour talking felt nice but I’m not sure it’s something that should have happened. I know I can make friends with drivers, and some journalists do it, but I don't think I can, personally. That’s just not how it works for me. It would make my job harder and I need a clear mind to focus.” you tried to explain, perfectly aware of how hypocritical you sound.
“Do you say the same things to all drivers or do I receive special treatment?”
You opened and closed your mouth. You didn’t want to lie to him and somehow he read it in your eyes that it’s not that you didn’t want to have friends among the drivers. You just didn’t want to be his friend. And somehow it hurt more than what he expected.
Author's note: Happy first GP of the season! To celebrate it, here's the new chapter! I hope you liked it.

"You Make It Feel Like Christmas" but its you and Phillip Graves doing a duet
Imagine you taking on the same country twang Gwen Stefani has and with Graves as, obviously, Blake Shelton himself.
Imagine that, in the MW2 setting, you successfully accomplish the mission in getting El Sin Nombre
Graves doesn't betray the team and you guys party at Alejandro's case of operations instead
After a long ass work week, you wanted to let loose and party it out with your comrades
Including gettin closer with the man you had a crush on- Phillip Graves, commander and CEO of the PMC "Shadow Company"
Your team (Tf 141) knew of your lingering feelings for the guy, and Soap suggested a wonderful idea at your most vulnerable moment
aka, when you're at the brink of being full out drunk and inebriated but still conscious of what you were doing
Speaking on the other hand? Well, let's just say that they call you Lily Loose Lips for a reason
Ghost smirked at the idea, wanting to see this unfold so he urged you as well, to go along with-
"Sudsy bright ideas."
You didn't quite catch on to his british humor really
Thus, with a bottle in hand, you approached the commander who was busying himself with his crew and some of the Los Vaqueros boys
"Allo lads!" you slurred out, waving with one bottle in hand while the other caught yourself onto a chair (poor Rudy)
"Corporal! What brings ya' here?" Graves giddily wraps an arm around your shoulders as you both swayed to the hum of the radio
"Got something for ya!"
Thinking you were handing the bottle to him, he left his hands out, only for his head to tilt in confusion as you gave the bottle to Alejandro (who cheered with crew as he poured them a new one)
You pulled out- from somewhere (he'd rather not know)- a mic and placed it in his awaiting hands
Pulling out another mic and a speaker of your own, you tested it with a "juan, dos, tres" making the Los Vaqueros and Shadow Company cackle
"Whats this for?" He asks, only for him to be shushed with a finger to his lips, by your truly
"OI! TURN THAT RADIO DOWN!!"
*cue sudden stop*
"ME AND COMMANDA GRAVES WILL BE SINGIN' A WESTERN CLASSIC FOR YALL TONIGHT~!"
"corporal!" he tries getting out of your chokehold but you surprisingly had quite the grip on him, "i DONT sing!"
but you ignored him, continuing on with your intro before playing the song
"since by september its already christmas at my country," you rubbed your cheeks with Graves who rolled his eyes, "we'll be singin a mighty fine west country song!"
"that dont make sense at all!" he complains while you, this time, rolled your eyes and shrugged
"my brother in christ," you turned to stare at him dead in the eye, "no one will fucking know what im saying."
"language barrier- fair point."
"Get on wit' it already!" you hear Soap shout and you reply back with an irritated 'aye!'
"so heres!" you let Graves go and toss him your phone, where the lyrics to "You Make It Feel Like Christmas" was displayed
And he all but huffed, thinking that you were underestimating him that he didn't know this song
so he tossed your phone to the side as he plays the song, turning to you to he starts the song
Swaying his hips to the starting verse making yours eyes shine and do the same
As soon as you start your part, you went up to him and twirl him around, making him gasp in shock as he expected to twirl you, hence makin him trip and the others laugh
Though, coming into the chorus, you intertwined hands and stared at each others eyes- as if you were confessing the lyrics to him
(and him to you)
As he watches you sing your solo parts, he could only stare in awe at how- beatiful and carefree at the moment
Hair flowing from your twist and turns, arms and legs moving in tandem, eyes sparkling as if the stars were reflecting off it, cheeks bright, plump and, red.. and bless his heart, your bright cherry and drunken lips--
And this continues as you both laugh and twirl each other around, dancing as if you were in a hoedown and a ballroom
with one trying to out dip the other, and by the time you guys were just heaving
the songs ends with you in his arms, chest to chest, alcohol smelt in each other breaths, and at this moment, under the twilight and stars-- you could only see him and his bright blue eyes
"you're quite a looker commander," you whisper out, hoping he would hear and he smirks

Brooks and Dunn and Thomas Rhett are also opening for Morgan Wallen so there are some big names also doing that. Morgan does stadium tours and it’s an absolutely huge tour so not to give ML any extra credit but they are big openers and not quite the same way you think about openers normally. Plus, it is like that other anon said which is just a reality for women artists as they get older, that if they want to keep touring they have to find positions like this on bigger tours much like Blake treats all of his heroes during his friends and heroes tour.
ML tours have struggled for years. She will have some good nights and sell out, but mostly there are tons of reseller tickets for very cheap. I don’t have any issues with any artist touring any way they want or can. It’s tough out there. It’s just funny because ML acts like she is cm #1 talent, but besides her team’s well documented manipulations to get her awards, the public, according to sales, tours, streams, etc, seem to think she is mediocre with a couple moments of brilliance. Like taking MBH from Kacey or getting Blake to give her THTBM and OY. Which is exactly how I would describe her. And more should be said about how her team worked keep other young women out of cm for years to give her an edge. She was a big “PR marketed to be the authentic voice” fish in pond of two or three. CU was the one “with the voice”. It was mostly the two of them until Kelsea and Maren broke in.
Blake was in a huge pond with tons of other male cm stars. And his team wasn’t pulling many strings or he would have a lot more awards. Imo.
My husband listened to country and I didn’t much in 2015. When B & G got together I was in shock. I was like, how did the voice guy land Gwen Stefani! My husband was like, how did GS land Blake Shelton? He’s the biggest name in cm!! Go listen right now. He’s great!
I’m glad I did, because he is great and also an amazing man. They are both super lucky they found each other.
- B

I am sure this is click bait but interesting.
According to an insider who commented to The U.S. Sun, Gwen was an “emotional wreck” this past year and season.
“It was nonstop emotions, crying throughout this entire journey but you can tell it’s mostly rooted in joy and deep pride for the work she’s done,” the insider shared.
The insider claimed “all signs are pointing” to Gwen quitting NBC’s competition show.
The insider said that Gwen hasn’t explicitly confirmed quitting but that they believe “She’s done” with the show.
Blake might be the inspiration for Gwen’s decision
While she had only one singer win The Voice, she also won with her love life through the show. She got to work with Blake Shelton, and they eventually dated and married.
Blake participated in 23 seasons, the most of any coach. He debuted during the first season in 2011, and singers from Team Blake won the show nine times. Blake officially retired as a coach in 2023 and has since focused on other ventures, including his music.
With her husband no longer on The Voice, Gwen could also choose to leave NBC’s show. Her main goals would be to spend more time with her family and make music.
“She really found a second home in Oklahoma and seeing Blake walk away from the show and prioritize his own music and their family life, I think made her realize what her next chapter can look like,” the insider shared.

re: my last post: what i think the 118 & co’s spotify wrapped looked like + my reasoning behind them (pt. one)
***this is all just headcanon please be nice 🫶🏽
****also this is a LONG ASS post, so i did put a cut just in case you want to scroll past :)
bobby:
completely based on vibes alone. i was going to add bruce springsteen but i forgot :(. i think that bobby belts in the air tonight on his way to work every morning and if he pulls up before the song is over, he stays in the truck with the windows up until it’s done.
chimney:
idk i just feel like he listens to really bad music. as you can see, to me he is unironically an ice spice fan. i actually fw gwen stefani, but the everybody else on his top 5 is trash imo. obviously, art is subjective, but i feel like 4/5 of his top artists are universally acknowledged as terrible. i also feel like he doesn’t know he has garbage music taste and actually insists it’s superior to everybody else’s. they will not hesitate to put him in check though.
hen:
this is also based off vibes but also kinda pulled from music aisha has put on her story (namely that she is a fan of rap/hip-hop). also hen is canonically a beyoncé fan and i think we should acknowledge that more. it was a toss between noname and rapsody for a moment, but i reeeeally like noname 🤷🏽♀️ no hate to my girl marlanna though. in my head hen and buck went to a migos concert together and screamed when they came out. i also think that she was a fan of drake when he first came up, but post-scorpion he kinda fell off so she leaves his newer shit alone. when denny’s in the car she plays age-appropriate common songs for the social commentary and life lessons they provide. because of this denny’s favorite song is currently the light.
buck:
lowkey inspired by obama’s summer playlist, but a little less eclectic because there’s overall less on it. originally i had blackpink and iu on his top artists and songs, but i changed my mind because ptv fan buck is very important to me. i feel like his music taste as a whole has probably been derived from all the people in his life, which is why aaliyah’s try again is number one on his top songs. we know that maddie used to pick him up from school and i cannot get the image of a young buck was in the passenger seat of the jeep singing his heart out to whatever love song he definitely cannot relate to out of my head, sooo…here we are. i have a lot of thoughts about his music taste but that is for another post.
eddie:
this was literally the easiest one i did. i also think he likes corridos but there were too many artists in the pool if i included them so i kept it down to country. i feel like nobody who follows me knows what corridos are, but just know that eddie’s love of corridos is included in pretty much all of my writing featuring him. ofc i had to put selena on there because i love selena and i think that eddie, being the tejano man that he is, also enjoys selena. idk why whiskey whiskey is on there. let’s just say he’s in his edmundo noches era or something idc. he also likes to listen to songs that chris liked when he was little because he thinks it’s funny when he covers his ears and stares out the window, but also a little bit because he misses baby chris in the backseat singing along to florida georgia line. he is very delighted in five years when chris takes his girlfriend to a florida georgia line concert as a date though.
ravi:
this one was harder because Ravi The Landlord definitely listens to the fit and fresh podcast on his way to work in his stupid cybertruck (because i know he has one okay) but also i feel like he has to listen to music, so i took songs off my spotify wrapped from last year. i don’t actually like drake that much, but her loss was my SHIT when it first came out + i do think that ravi very much enjoyed search & rescue. he is team kendrick for all intents and purposes though. unfortunately ravi and i are both sufferers of rod wave syndrome. nobody lets ravi pick the music at any event because he will put on great gatsby. i also think he likes kevin gates but that’s something i will not be addressing today.

I don’t want to link the article here in my blog, but it is easy to find if you search the Entertainment Tonight website. Apparently, Gwen’s icky ex and sperm donor was interviewed at the podcast of Amy and TJ (they are former Good Morning America hosts who cheated, left the show and now host their own podcast so yeah, messy situation as well) and he said some stuff which caused my eyes to roll till kingdom come. 🙄🙄🙄 He is truly the ultimate gaslighter and narcissist. The nerve of him to say all of this and not take accountability for what he has done.
Some excerpts:
“I never thought I'd ever get divorced. So there's a simple shame in my life," Rossdale explained.
Noting that both of his parents had been married three times, he added that he never wanted his children to have a similar experience to his own.
Without directly naming Stefani, Rossdale said, "The biggest thing would be when you see the kids that sometimes there's a loss. It'd be nice if there was more of a connection with the person who made them with me."
"I go to a lot of events where there's 'the other team,' so to speak and I just feel really proud of myself in my consistency as a father. I know in my heart that I'm super consistent," the British musician said, seemingly referencing Stefani and Shelton.
And despite what he described as a "very contentious, hugely emotional, flared-up situation," Rossdale noted that he does his best not to speak about Stefani.

The Black History of No Doubt 🖤🤍
In 1986, Eric Stefani and John Spence met and bonded over their love of the anti-racist UK ska movement while working at their local Dairy Queen.
With John on lead vocals and Eric on keyboard, they formed Apple Core. Which was later changed to No Doubt after Spence’s frequent use of the term became an inside joke for the group.
John Spence (Traci Vicars Brown)
This catchphrase also spawned an early track of the same name with Eric’s little sister Gwen Stefani and John Spence on vocals.
Gwen Stefani and John Spence (Traci Vicars Brown)
Spence was most notably known amongst early No Doubt fans for his infectious energy and on-stage back flips. Wherever Spence went, the rowdy youth of Orange County followed.
In the lead up to one of their biggest shows yet, the members of No Doubt were blindsided at the news of Spence’s untimely death.
On December 21st, 1987, John Spence had passed from a self inflicted gun wound at just 18 years old.
The band was devastated and played their show at the Roxy as a final goodbye, not only to John, but to the band he had co-created.
Early No Doubt Lineup Featuring John Spence
However, after deep thought and a break from the music, they ultimately decided that in the spirit of John and his love for music, that they’d continue on. Their first song without Spence being a tribute titled “Dear John”
“You're singin' in a band with a mic on in your hand
The way that you would sing really made me feel all grand
You left your friends alone, right upon this earth
I wish you would've seen how much life was worth…”
John Spence (Eric Keyes)
With Gwen Stefani still too timid to take over full time, trumpet player Alan Meade stepped up to take the space John Spence had once occupied.
Like Spence, Meade became quickly know for his amazing stage presence and spirit. With Meade and time, Gwen Stefani began to break out of her shell.
Alan Meade and Gwen Stefani
Although often mistaken for Spence in images and videos of live performances, Meade was so much more than simply a “replacement” for Spence.
Much of Gwen’s later vocalizations are adaptions of Meade’s choices in demo tapes of songs such as “Boucing Shoes”, “Get A Life”, and “Doormat” to name a few.
Another black performer that deeply influenced Gwen’s vocal style was ska icon and lead singer of The Selecter, Pauline Black
Pauline Black of The Selecter
Alan Meade’s time as the lead singer of No Doubt was short lived as the news of his then girlfriend’s teen pregnancy in 1988 led to his departure. He left the group to focus on his family, yet would regularly make surprise appearances at their shows and perform with them for a song or two.
The members of No Doubt and Alan Meade have stayed connected throughout the years and he eventually went on to join members of Save Ferris in the creation of a new ska group known as Starpool.
Gwen Stefani and Alan Meade during the Tragic Kingdom Era
In the early 90’s, Gabrial McNair and Stephen Bradley would join No Doubt as backing vocals and the “horn section” of the final lineup.
McNair and Bradley, often seen as a team, have maintained their musical relationship with Stefani the longest out of all the other members of No Doubt.
1998 MTV Music Video Awards
Being a part of her backing artists since the early 90’s with No Doubt and through all of her solo efforts as well.
The pair still performs with her to this day and are often not included in descriptions of No Doubt’s lineup, but all fans know that they are just as vital as the rest of them to the band’s massive success.
Gabrial McNair has also toured with Green Day, co-founded Olso in 2005, composed music for film & TV, and worked with multiple artists in-studio.
Stephen Bradley too has toured with Green Day, Smashing Pumpkins, and Steel Pulse. He has also released solo work and is a talented photographer/videographer as well.
‘Rock Steady’ Jamaica Recording Sessions Crew
For their fifth album, Rock Steady, the band desired a Jamaican dance hall inspired sound, collaborating with numerous local artists/legends.
Including Bounty Killer, Lady Saw, Sly Dunbar, and Robbie Shakespeare (Sly & Robbie), to name a few.
This also marked the beginning of a lifelong musical partnership and friendship between Pharrell Williams (of The Neptunes at the time) and Gwen Stefani.
Gwen Stefani & Pharrell Williams for Vibe Magazine 2005 (Albert Watson)
In addition to the impressive list of collaborators on Rock Steady, the band also worked with one of Stefani’s greatest inspirations and favorite artist, Prince.
In the same year, she got to return the favor and provide backing vocals on his 2001 track “So Far, So Pleased”
“He was such a genius that you can’t believe he existed. I was onstage with No Doubt in Minneapolis in the Nineties, and I saw his silhouette in the audience. I was like, ‘How is this happening?’”
Gwen Stefani on Prince, Rolling Stone Magazine 2016
Since the band’s initial breakup, Stefani has collaborated with artists like Eve, Dr. Dre, Saweetie, Fetty Wap, Slim Thug, Andre 3000, Snoop Dogg, Akon, and most recently Shenseea on Sean Paul’s “Light My Fire”
Without the insurmountable talent of all of the artists covered in this post, No Doubt would not be the band it is today. The influence Black musicians have had on members of the band (of all racial backgrounds) is evident in their discography and should be recognized.
I wrote this post in hopes of highlighting the often forgotten side of No Doubt and to celebrate Black History Month, but every month is a good month to recognize Black excellence :) Thanks for reading!

On a funny note someone called Cora an Asari Weaboo and that’s probably one of the reasons why I don’t like her because that’s exactly what she is. It’s giving Gwen Stefani constantly talking about Japan and Japanese culture and claiming that she’s Japanese. Like she doesn’t shut the fuck up about it. Not even Liara talked about the Asari as much and that’s her own culture, even Lexi or PeeBee, two characters from the same game don’t talk about it but every time you go talk to Cora it’s always some shit about her training with the Asari Commandos and acting like she knows everything about the culture especially when you take her to find the Asari ARK she doesn’t shut up and what makes it even funnier is that it could be bad writing, but whenever she brings up her training to other Asari they’re either unimpressed or just brush it off and don’t care
It reminds me of the American Dad episode when Haley would not shut up about the roller derby team and they didn’t even really fuck with her all like that. It she wouldn’t shut up about joining the “ modern day amazons” LIKE WE GET IT ALREADY

For WIP Wednesday I present to you a snippet of Curses and Caves! A Post-War Dramione AU! where they work as a curse breaking team. Part two out of two might make it out this week.
“Oh, would you look at that, you left me a cup of tea.” He joked, reminding me that I, in fact, completely forgot about the cup I had poured myself at the beginning. Too focussed on the job to take a break. Completely mortified, I start wondering what else I left out for him to find and scrutinize. What else would he make fun of? “Focus, Gwen Stefani. We have a job to do.” I quip in the hopes of pulling his attention to the map or the colour coded files that were actually relevant to the case. Anything but the mess on my desk, the purple slippers or, heaven forbid, the picture of us from the time we went to a Mexican restaurant. I had told the staff it was his birthday soon, not a lie, in an effort to get a free dessert. Which we did get but only after he had spent the entire dinner with a sombrero on his head.
Read part one here!

SOCCER!ELLIE WILLIAMS X CHEERLEADER!READER
PART 2TWO
part 3three
part 1one
mdni please<3
summary: effects of the match seem simple - ellie either wins and gets what she wanted, or not. but even the score doesnt make things less complicated, as the past wont leave you
warnings: minors safe🩷
writers note: the start is shitty because i was writing it in a rush but it gets better after first goal i promise!! also this ones shorter because i had to stop right there cus i dont know wether to make it ellie x reader or change it to vi....
'that's right, put your pom-poms down
getting everybody fired up'
you were excited for the match. not only did it mean that ellie was going to try her best to win your kiss, but the stakes were higher than that. you'd been excited for the rematch between your team and vi's team - your ex's team - all year, and now the time had come.
soon, the match was about to start, and you and the other cheerleaders took your positions on the sideline to cheer for your team. ellie and other players took their positions on the field, looking confident as well.
you cheered, watching ellie play against vi. the match was close, and the score was tied for a while. then, ellie managed to score a goal, turning the score to 1-0 in favor of their team.
you cheered as loud as you could for ellie, feeling a bit torn between wanting your team to win and not wanting to see ellie get her reward so easily. but just like you, vi had also noticed the connection between the two of you, and had to do something about it - she had no intention of letting the flirting continue. as the leader of her team, she made sure that they were playing aggressively, and they managed to tie up the score again, making it 1-1.
you watched as vi celebrated her team's goal with her team's cheerleaders, and you frowned, not at all happy to see her happy.
first 45 minutes ended, making all players spread out. some drank water, some stretched or practiced, but most of them just rested. ellie walked into your direction before suddenly stopping and turning around. just then, vi appeared in front of you.
"we need to talk." she demanded and you knew you have no choice.
you followed her as she led you away from the field. the two of you walked silently for a bit, until she finally turned to you.
"i've noticed you flirting with ellie." she said, her expression dead serious.
you couldn't help but stare at vi, trying to process what she was saying.
"what makes you think that?" you asked.
"don't play dumb. i've seen the way you look at her." she scoffed, rolling her eyes.
"what's the big deal anyway?" you inquired, trying to keep the conversation calm. you shrugged and added; "we broke up months ago."
"you're flirting with her right in front of me!" vi crossed her arms, glaring at you. "do your feelings towards me mean nothing to you anymore?" she asked.
you hestitated for a moment, not sure wether it's a good idea to bring this sensitive topic to the conversation. but you couldn't stand it anymore. "my feelings for you disappeared as soon as you cheated on me."
vi's eyes widened. she seemed genuinely surprised by your response - maybe she hadn't expected you to be so candid with her. "i never did. it would be different if you'd just- listen to me back there instead of believing what people say!"
you raised an eyebrow at the girl. "believe what people say?" you scoffed. "people don't just make something like that up."
you couldn't believe that she was actually trying to deny her betrayal.
"i don't want to hear it." you said, glaring at her. "i'm moving on, and you should too."
vi looked hurt. she clearly wasn't expecting such a bold response from you, and wasn't sure what to say.
"i should go." you said, turning to walk away.
"hey, wait a minute." vi exclaimed.
you defensively put your hands in the air. "no, that's it. the break ends soon, you should get ready." you nodded towards the field. "now, excuse me, i have to go cheer on ellie, so i don't miss her second goal." you said with a smirk.
vi rolled her eyes, so you could tell that you had hit a nerve. it wasn't necessary, but she deserved it. unless she wasn't lying...
you rolled your eyes back in retaliation, enjoying the little victory you had over her. you didn't even realize how intrigued you were by the match- no, by ellie, until this talk.
you didn't want to waste time chatting with vi, so you started walking towards the field. you saw ellie talking to her team on the field.
the second half of the match started, and the wave of cheers from the crowd got louder.
the last twenty minutes.
you watched as ellie started running towards the opposing team's goal, dribbling and dodging opponents with exceptional skill.
as ellie approached the goal, she noticed you in the crowd. she winked at you, and you couldn't help but grin back. as if she knew that she was going to score another goal, ellie took the shot, and it went in.
2-1 in favor of your team.
your ears were deafened by clapping, some people even stood up and jumped around. the game went on but ellie let herself rest for a moment, her players carrying the situation. even now, on her sweaty and tired face, you could see the same smirk she always has. she was proud, simply proud.
vi didn't like that, though. she saw the smile on ellie's face, and she knew that ellie was doing this for you. she kept yelling at her players, telling them to try harder.
soon, one of vi's teammates managed to push through your team's defense and scored a goal, making it 2-2.
vi smiled, looking right at you as she celebrated, encouraging her team to hold their position.
as the match neared its end, both teams tried their absolute best to score a third goal, but to no avail. time was running out quickly, and it seemed that the match would end in a tie.
you glanced over at ellie, watching as she ran back and forth on the field, sweating profusely and looking exhausted. she had given her all for the match and almost scored another goal, but it just wasn't enough.
the ref blew his whistle, as the match had officially ended.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW ARE YOU GUYS TEAM ELLIE OR TEAM VI??? i need yalls opinion🧎🏼♀️

Courtney loves the epic groupie superstar female ironic woman in
I’ll tell you what I love this woman so much, I just love her attitude her style her vocabulary her attitude. Her knowledge of the whole rock is fair with somewhat better to Kirk Cobain mainstream a lot more that you think that she would she was there in the trenches., She knows about things that you expect her to and I’ll tell you what she has a fashion God she knows all these different terms. She isn’t just about to talk clothing. She is about vintage and making your own clothes. She said to Gwen Stefani who she doesn’t like to admitting, but Gwen had made something her own and she loved that so she. but if you had to believe blind items she destroyed like really big vintage pieces the Earth, cut up when I guess she was high on drugs like really old Victorian style dresses which she wanted to turn into her own style of baby doll dresses, some really beautiful pieces when you look back at her on the 90s she is literally my favourite woman in style in attitude and I just love her clothing and I love her pieces exactly the things I would’ve wore when I was a bit slimmer I would’ve been worn all the stuff she wore beautiful pieces., and I guess it was a style at the time in some places but the baby doll dresses the moo the Peter Pan colours even the shoes like I can’t wear I can’t wear shoes basically they aren’t sketches or something comfy because I’ve got something wrong with my feet so I can’t wear my shoes but everything she had was perfect. She wanted to be the girl of the cake and have a cake and eat it if that’s it. perfect PR woman she knew how to market herself I guess this would’ve been the thing that separated her and her in the end because she was not bothered about selling out in a certain way where is he was as she grew and grew into the movie world I don’t think they would’ve like still be together if he was still alive because they had such different views on that kind of thing but let’s not forget as he didn’t want to say to be successful he bloody well dead he wouldn’t of got successful if he hadn’t of tried the mainstream either, but as a Virgo rising and cancer 🌙 Think he’s personality and his lifestyle defied from what he saw as a way and that was a part of himself that he was pushing when he said he didn’t want to be mainstream he didn’t want to be a seller and this is why he would go on stage and do smells like teen spirit but in a Morrissey way. He would refuse to play at all.
Was happy to do things like 24 hours of Courtney Love when she was in her last weekend that early to mid 2000, she had her solo america’s sweetheart which she admitted she was high on drugs at the time and was just wanted to do drugs in a château in France, so that record didn’t do too well and the things she should’ve never done is split up from Eric in her group, hole was made on those two, everybody else is coming and gone from Jill Emery to Caroline Ray, Patty Schemmel, Samantha and obviously rest in power Kristen pfsff. you should’ve never got rid of Eric or done that because that was genius, his guitar playing and her their songwriting., but she can say a lot of lies but when she is telling the truth we need to listen but that’s a problem. People don’t listen because they don’t know what is a lie and what is the truth we know one thing that was the truth was when she exposed Harvey Weinstein and then got blackboard., it was the time she was on the red carpet for the roast of Pamela Anderson, and she said asked is there any advice you have young women in Hollywood?, And she said if Harvey Weinstein invites you to her hotel room at the four seasons don’t go., which surface many years 👋 later .
In that row, she embarrassed herself quite a bit because she was so high on drugs while claiming at the same time not to be it’s like it’s okay but be honest with yourself, but a lot of these people are not not told not to by managers or people in their team , I’m just watching 24 hours of Courtney Love on an old MTV thing and she talks about the whole Gen X boomer thing , there’s 42000,000 boomers , and roughly 18,000,000 Gen X , who were very influential in the music industry and any other industry , and most of them have either gone to rehab , gone on drugs , died , and many of a destructive things, but they created such a whole big culture of the music industry , the film industry , but when I think of all my favourite kids, they are gen x .
Some of those styles have been very popular and recreated over the years when the grunge revival came back in the 2010s a lot of these looks are very Courtney Love , Taylor momsem The Pretty Reckless and how she’s very similar to that kind of style. But it’s been copied very much even if people don’t want to admit because it’s there’s so many things I can post and pictures of her that have been popular and recreated over the years. There was even that fight with her and Kat bjellend . where cat wore her dress all over her touring England and Courtney had to switch to the right white dress that wasn’t in the news as much, had not been seen as but is connected to her and always will .

Gwen Stefani's Son Zuma, 16, Is Catching Up to Stepdad Blake Shelton's Height in Sweet Family Photo from NFL Game
Gwen Stefani's son is looking all grown up — and is almost as tall as stepdad Blake Shelton!
On Sunday, Nov. 10, Stefani, 55, her sons Zuma, 16, and Apollo, 10, and stepdad Shelton, 48, stepped out for a family outing at the Arizona Cardinals game at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. On the NFL team's Instagram, the crew can be seen sweetly smiling together on the sidelines.
In the family photo, Shelton and Zuma not only twin in matching red Cardinals caps, but the teen looks surprisingly tall as he nearly reaches the height of the country star. To the left of the stepdad-stepson duo, Stefani and Apollo also match in red Cardinals jerseys.
