Though its owner is obviously drunk, the voice—Dean’s voice—is deep and sort of rough, and a shiver runs down Castiel’s spine before he can really register what’s happening. “This the— the bird inspector?” “Uh.” Castiel blinks. “The bird inspector? Do you mean the bird professor?” “That’s the shit!” “What the fuck?” Gabriel mouths. Castiel. “Um, yes. This is the bird professor.” “Give it to me straight, doc, I gotta settle something,” Dean drawls. “Do hummingbirds have feet?”

Based on a funny tweet by icon and legend NorthernSparrow, this fun little fic is a quick but hilarious read. Dean gets into a disagreement at a bar about whether hummingbirds have feet and ends up calling the hot ornithology professor who teaches at the same college with him.

They are both disaster men in this one with mutual crushes. The fic also makes great use of Gabriel and Charlie as enablers-slash-bad influences. It's a memorably cute and awkward fic that has me grinning every time I revisit it.

Dean has always had a plan. Study hard, find a job, fall in love, and live life to the fullest. The first two worked out well for him, but falling in love has been a pain in the ass. His roommate’s obnoxious prattling about his online boyfriend is not helping Dean feel any better. Then, on Valentine’s Day, a handsome blue eyed stranger knocks on his door and throws himsef into Dean’s arms, hugging him like a long lost lover. Dean has no fucking clue who this man is but he’ll take the hug no questions asked. When the man calls him “Aaron” though, he instantly knows something is very, very wrong.

A knock on the door distracted Dean from his Valentine’s date with Godzilla.

“Shit.” He looked around for the remote, pushing quilts around and searching under cushions. “One second!” He said loudly when he heard the person knock again. Finally finding the remote and pausing the movie Dean looked down on the clothes and shrugged. Whoever was on his doorstep would have to get over the fact that he was wearing hotdog pajama pants and a Stormlight Archives hoodie in the middle of the afternoon.

Dean opened his apartment door to see the most gorgeous man standing awkwardly in front of him. He was wearing a beige trench coat over a navy blue suit, white button up shirt and a bright blue tie that was tied backwards. Dean could not help but stare at this beautiful man.

“Hello.” The blue eyed man said with a huge smile on his face.

“Uh. Hi?” Dean answered. Did he know this man from somewhere? He would’ve remembered him for sure.

Dean’s confusion didn’t seem to matter to the man because he simply walked over to him and hugged him. Strong arms surrounded him, the smell of old books and soap all around him making it impossible for Dean to stop himself from wrapping his arms around the stranger. After a few quiet moments the man released him and stepped back.

“I cannot believe you are here.” He said with a soft voice. “I thought you said you had work today? I hoped your roommate would let me in and I would surprise you when you got back.”

Dean scratched the back of his neck in confusion. Who the hell was this man? Surprise him? He seemed to think they had met before, but Dean had no recollection of the fact. “Umm, I’m sorry but, who are you?” He finally asked. “What do you mean, Aaron?” The man said, the smile on his face seemed to slowly morph into a grimace of confusion.

"Aaron? Na, man. Aaron’s my roommate.”

Here's my third collab for @spnbangbang ! I was delighted when @friendofcarlotta claimed this piece, I've almost claimed so many of her fics in bangs so having her write a story inspired by my art was a dream come true. And omg I am blown away by what she did with my silly little gym teacher Dean art!!

I am feral about the handprint so I basically screamed when I saw the it was going to play a role in the story. I had no option but to draw a second handprint centric art piece.

The five times Castiel had to deal with a false fire alarm and the responding fire-fighter Dean Winchester, and the one time it wasn’t fake. Or two idiots in love who can’t seem to get on the right page long enough to confess their feelings.

This fic was tooth achingly sweet. First off, Cas as a preschool teacher? Please sign me up!! This Cas was perfect; in tune with his students' needs and always ready to assess the situation, especially when the school fire alarm continues to go off at random. The only thing that seems to fluster him is his neighbor, and the fireman who continues to respond to the alarm calls, Dean Winchester. 

Dear readers, Cas is down bad. He has epic levels of pining going on, fully head over heels for Dean, who he has gotten to be acquainted with through neighborly favors, including walking his dog Miracle. As if that wasn’t good enough, halfway through we get a POV switch, only to find out that Dean is just as much a smitten kitten as Cas. Especially when he pieces together that Cas is the same teacher his god son Ben won’t stop talking about. 

This one is adorable, and Cas and Dean’s miscommunication and mutual pining is to be adored. Hope you give it a click!
