current project: cyber tech vest with built-in backpack
materials: $5 thrifted backpack disassembled for all the buckles & mesh, upcycled black fabric, and circuit printed fabric for the lining, clear neon yellow vinyl leftover from a project from like 8 years ago, and zippers i stole from an old job and resized for this.
this is phase 1 of this build, i plan to add more buckles on the front & make detachable sleeves with thumb holes that clip on and expose the shoulders.
design inspo: namilia, crisiswear, and lip service's vintage "circuit city" collection. custom made to fit my fiber optic whip in the back and my phone in the mesh pockets. there's secret features, like places to attach glow sticks 馃挌

I saw a silicone gummy bear mould for sale and I figured I'd make Elenda's bracelet. I made the bears out of resin and they sat on my desk for about 6 weeks until I found a wire cutter to cut the chain for the bracelet. But it's done!

Touhou bracelets I've made for myself
The big center coffin and clock beads are from Jelli Bead. I used fabric elastic for most of these, and jelly string for Flan and Sakuya. But I can change string if I have to. I recommend black fabric string instead of white if you use charms because the jump rings leave gray on the white string.

never posted this build here, so let's go!
materials: $7 thrifted black cargo pants that fit me poorly, pieces of a safety vest, discarded fabric from fabscrap, straps & trims from other old stuff, screen printed patches
added: reflective grommet tapes to the side so the pants can be laced up and adjusted for a variety of sizing. back pockets, snaps to the side pockets, and other functional details. mesh panels & inserts in the seam to make them much more wide leg. D rings, straps, reflective trims, patches.

I have not been drawing much for a long time (my laptop died and with it my workflow - I'm trying out a new setup this weekend wish me luck).
But! I have been doing other creative things! Sewing! Knitting! Look at my sweater to be!
I don't know what I'm doing and playing it by ear - I've already made the sleeves and I have a rough idea of how to put them together... Wish me luck! 馃槄

Hi! Is the yarn in your "accidentally dressed to match my knitting" post for sale anywhere or is it something you spun just for your own project? My partner knits and I can sense him vibrating over that yarn from across state lines.
Oh my goodness, thank you! That is very flattering. Unfortunately I don't sell anything, but I do love sharing crafting knowledge and this yarn should be easy to recreate if you or your partner dye (or know anyone who dyes).
For this yarn, you'd need superwash sock yarn (I like getting undyed yarn from Dharma Trading Company but there are lots of options), dye in the three primary colors, and black dye. I started by doing color wheel dyeing so each skein was a rainbow, like this.

Then I re-skeined the yarn at a different length of skein (this part is optional, but it gave me more random speckles than if I'd left it the way it had been dyed because the colors were now all mixed up) and tied bits of yarn tightly around it. That went in a black dye pot, which came out looking like this:

Which was pretty, but not what I wanted. So the next time I got my dyeing stuff out I did it in another black pot, which was closer (it still isn't actually a solid black, it's just very dark variegated with bright speckles).

I am so pleased with the effect that I'm considering buying a sweater quantity of yarn sometime and doing a whole cardigan. Glad you liked it too, but sorry I can't be more help getting some for your partner!
