Brief summary: Cale can use Instant up to 10 minutes. Neo keeps attacking Cale's allies. Bloody Cale reaches his limit, and Neo is about to explode. DHB sacrifices himself as Neo explodes.

We got a double chapter today, and it was so tense like last time. B-B-BUT!!!! THAT CLIFFHANGER!!! 😰😰😰 WHYYYYYYYY!!!! DHB!!!!! 😨😨😨 NOOOOOOO!!!! PLEASE, AUTHOR-NIM!!! DON'T KILL HIM!!! 😭😭😭

Poor Raon... He kept screaming in despair, seeing his human all bloody and getting hurt because Cale kept protecting him from Neo's attacks. And then, he had to see DHB sacrificing himself to protect him too. 😭😭😭

Cale's Instant grew to the point that it could now last 10 minutes. And in its full power, Instant could make time slower than what Neo could do. But the ancient powers were screaming at Cale to stop. Because Cale kept using all his ancient powers along with Instant when fighting Neo. And that was putting a huge strain in his plate. Vitality of the Heart was shouting to Cale that he had already reached the limit, but Cale ignored it! 😭😭😭

Neo was scum. He purposely kept attacking Cale's allies, such as CH, Raon, and Eruhaben, knowing they were Cale's weakness. And when he realized he was about to die, he tore out his own heart to hasten the explosion.

Cale was really panicking today. His condition was really bad. It was worse than the chapter when he first used Instant. It was worse than the time he killed WS. Cale really pushed himself to the limits today. He kept cursing at Neo, angry at the latter for constantly targeting Raon and his allies.

His vision was blurry because of the blood. His hearing was faint because his ears were also bleeding. He could not tell if his body was feeling hot (overuse of Instant) or cold (because he was sweating so much). His clothes were torn here and there, and wounds appeared all over his body. And his internal injuries filled his mouth with blood.

Ending Remarks Today was so tense, and it ended with such a cliffhanger. 😨 Next chapter would be aftermath of the explosion, and hopefully, please, author-nim, DHB would still be alive in some way.

Also one of the things I absolutely loved in the chapter is the thoughtfulness Cale put into naming him. Yk it’s just like when one picks a gift, they can just pick something very expensive or unique, which is of course great, a gift is something very lovely in itself, but what makes a gift truly special is when it’s picked by thinking about the receiver- what they would like, what they need and appreciate the most. That’s just love. And names are the first and most meaningful gift one receives in their life, and Cale definitely is doing a good job at it. Man I love them all.

I truly am waiting for the moment Dragon Half-Blood will get a name. Also very much hope Cale or Sheritt would be the ones to think of it.

Because DHB was a dick who have killed lots of people for the sake of killing them... but so did Hannah. And both of them had reasons for doing what they did. Which doesn't forgive their wrongdoings, but does give them the opportunity to change and be better.

It saddens me that Hannah got her redemption arc while DHB- well, not entirely.

DHB suffered for HUNDREDS of years to yearn any ounce of care or affection from White Star, only much later realizing how foolish of him it was.

He was sold by his own parents and then got experimented on to become neither a human nor a dragon.

For god's sake, the first ever time DHB got to experience choosing by himself and for himself was when Cale, the enemy!!!, literally asked "Do you want to die now or do it later?"!!! How fucked up is that?

Plus even after all the fucked things he went through!! DHB didn't destroyed Raon's egg! He is a big reason for our baby being with us! A small rebellion against WS's order that could have literally costed him a life or more suffering!!

DHB gone through years of emotional abuse/manipulation and you know when he felt the happiest in his 900+ years of life? Washing enemy's dishes while feeling constant pain.

And my baby didn't even got to keep his body because he was dying. He is inside a bone dragon now!

I don't read or even see much spoilers after murim arc, but i saw that on the next planet Cale takes DHB with them or smt and it makes me sooo excited for the possible moments!!

I'm sure a lot of us were expecting a pure Korean word for his name, right? But 'Eden'??? There's actually an explanation for that.

Let's first read an excerpt of Cale's thoughts:

What should I name the Dragon Half-Blood? I tried to think of names with good meanings, like Raon or Dodam. I thought about words that are pretty or cool among the pure Korean words. But does it matter to the Dragon Half-Blood? Raon and Dodam. The two dragons were named with the hopes of the children growing up. But what would be the point of saying them to a Dragon Half-Blood? To be cool? To be happy? To have fun? What's the point of telling the Dragon Half-Blood to be something? Identity. Identity is what bothered this guy. That's why he's constantly searching for his place. "Whether you're a Dragon Half-Blood. Whether you're my enemy. Whether you're a bone dragon." The Dragon Half-Blood came to Cale in various forms. Cale also uses some clever wordplay here. If you add the Korean word for "what (무엇)" to the word "whether (이든)", it becomes "whatever/anything (무엇이든)". So Cale tells Eden that he can become anything because it did not matter to them who he was. Eden was just Eden to them. 🥰🥰🥰

Raon’s mouth opened a bit before closing again after making eye contact with the Dragon half-blood. He was a smart Dragon, however, Raon did not know how to express his current emotions.
