"Not in the best condition, but very well used for writing over the last 10 years, genuine working guitar" donated by Damon to Gary 'Mani' Mounfield and his wife Imelda online memorabilia auction [X]
From the early days of my music “career,” I was lucky to have great gear. In this one area of my life, I avoided learning life’s lessons the hard way. Tonight, I will perform on this old guitar at Opening Bell Coffee here in Dallas. For those who travelled all over the Delaware Valley to see me strum a few songs, this is that guitar - Taylor 614ce that I purchased at the Cherry Hill Mall in the summer of 2001. As I was rehearsing today, I thought, “There really is no substitute for quality.” And then, I thought about how lucky I am. The guitar reminds me of countless shows and the friends who miss more than words can capture.
Can’t wait to play an entire acoustic set for our friends and family with our new THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT guitar and matching shirt, they’re gonna cheer so loud! 😀🤍 Get yours while supplies last at store.taylorswift.com!
Taylor was initially like "no thanks old man I'd rather hang out with my AWESOME MOM" about getting to know his grandfather but he was presented with an offer he could not refuse (learning the chords for Blue Bird from Naruto)
Although I did not win the Texas State Songwriter’s Championship, I had a great time trying. Big thanks to everyone who attended and reached out to me. The support was tremendous and very much appreciated.
Thank you to the folks who organized the event and to Bronson Louis who performed audio magic while snapping this cool photo. Looking forward to next year!
