I can confirm I've heard every album and listened to the radio.

Taylor Swift's self-titled album does not get the attention that it deserves, and quite frankly, I believe it to be some of her best work that truly embodies the feelings of nostalgia. When people think about Taylor Swift, they often think of Teardrops on My Guitar, Our Song, and Picture to Burn. I am not a songwriter (for good reason), but I would imagine that it is not easy to have numerous smash hits on your very first album, especially considering that social media marketing was not the same as it was back in 2006. This album is important as it also can provide testimony to how multifaceted Taylor is as a singer and songwriter.

Just wanted to throw this post in because I feel like my Top 30 countdown was so scattered, I want to do a little recap. Seriously, there are so many songs to love. I honestly don’t hate or think Taylor has any “bad songs”, although there are songs I don’t like but that’s just natural when you have a catalog with 100+ songs. I do want to give some honorable mentions even though I think I said I wouldn’t (if I remember correctly), but I feel like these songs deserve some recognition even though they’re not in my top 30. 

Back To December is such a beautiful song. It’s really tough that it’s not in my top 30. All Too Well is another I feel like people are gonna go “bitch where is it” when they see my list lol. I love All Too Well, I do think it is one of Taylor’s best songs ever, I just love these 30 songs more hahaha. Dear John is another one I was obsessed with when I first heard it. Just raw emotions and she really spoke out honestly, she wasn’t holding back. Dress is one I didn’t love at first but really grew on my and I have so much appreciation for it now after Lover came out. Cruel Summer and False God are some of my other favorites from Lover. Getaway Car and I Did Something Bad are other favorites from reputation. Same for Our Song and Should’ve Said No.
