ok, so I got some very good financial news today, and so I decided to do a big splurge to treat myself. It's not a Devil because even with the good financial news, I still can't justify spending what I see any of the listings for. But I did order an umino, and one other rare Tama that I happened to find a good deal on. Let's just say that I no longer have to use my Tamagotchi Angel when I need a v-pet to run for Christmas season.
#v-pet log#i'll get a devil some day#if they don't announce a devil remake this october#i'll start saving up and taking art commissions and ko-fi donations#and blow my tax return on one#or something

today's moral of the story: THERE IS [*almost*] ALWAYS A CHEAPER DEAL!!!
#I'm not a huge fan of absolutes because I'm paranoid so there's almost in [] 😅#but yeah bc tell me why I once thought $25 (with tax) was cheap#then found $19#then found $17#then finally found $15 (with tax and a donation)#WE COOKED!!! SAVED LIKE $10!!! my inner pennypincher is happy 😊#finding good deals feel so good#and for the same quality too#(just in case I took multiple screenshots in case I do get scammed)#(because if I do I WILL be pseudo-sueing)#random thoughts

Jesus: "It's easier for a camel to pass through the hole of a needle than for a rich person to go to Heaven."
Jesus: "A servant can't serve two lords, because they will love one and hate the other. You can't serve both God and Money."
Jesus: "That widow who donated two coins donated more than the rich person who filled the vase with money."
Jesus: "Don't store up treasures on Earth. (...) For where your treasure is, there will be your heart."
Jesus: "Don't worry yourself sick about owning things. God always rewards work with the means for you to survive (food) and even the little luxuries you need to express yourself (fine clothing)."
Jesus: "Don't be like that rich fool that worked so hard to accumulate grain and was so happy when he finally got to a point that he owned enough to never go hungry again. He died that same night, so what was all that for?"
Jesus: "Woe to you who are rich, for you have already received your comfort. Woe to you who are well fed now, for you will go hungry."
Jesus (to a pious rich person): "Oh, you observe all ten commandments since youth? Good. But if you really want to go to Heaven, sell everything you have, donate to the poor and follow me."
(and I could go on, but you got the point)
----
"Christian" leaders: "If you work hard you will make lots of money because having lots of money is a sign that Jesus loves and blesses you! :)"
#jesus#capitalism#riches#religious hypocrites#theology of prosperity#it's honestly amazing how some churches dodge those teachings like Neo dodging bullets#considering you don't even have to page that much through the evangelists to get examples of Jesus throwing shade towards richness#one of the few rich people he complimented heartily was Zacchaeus who was famous for giving half of his riches to the poor when met Jesus#and pledged to restitute fourfold any wrongdoings he commited when taking taxes#he is the polar opposite of the pious rich boy who got sad when Jesus asked him to donate his money and got away#and make no mistake Zacchaeus wasn't a saint before meeting Jesus for Jesus said He was 'saving a soul that was lost' that night#Zacchaeus wasn't saying that he would restitute anyone he had wronged just to sound cool or pious - he *knew* it would COST him#thus the reason why Jesus complimented him and stated that he was that unicorn rich that gets to go to Heaven#so you read it here first folks - rich people who want to go to Heaven better start working in not being *that* rich anymore

Just wanted to let you know that I saw your Tumblr post about your Patreon and I immediately signed up! I didn't realize you had one, I get that you can't advertise it on Ao3, but you deserve to feel comfortable advertising it. Your stories and art are amazing and they are worth it. You deserve to be rewarded for all your hard work. :)
Ahhh that's so sweet, thank you so much!!!
I just, in general, try not to advertise my Patreon too much. It's listed on my pinned post, and I bring it up whenever there's a promo running, but I totally get being constantly bombarded by ads and I don't want my work to contribute to that. It's also why I don't use the tip feature on Tumblr, or mention Ko-Fi.
That being said, as I cut more and more into my savings, I may have to bring it up more often, and do apologize for that ;_; It really means so much that you saw my post and felt my work is worth supporting!
❀ ❀ Send YukiPri an Ask! ❀ ❀
#rena-rules#YukiPri replies#patreon#literally just wiped out a huge chunk of my savings paying quarterly taxes#felt so sick at the thought of it going to fund war that I felt paralyzed after#like i coulda donated that money and made a huge difference#or i coulda kept it for myself bc i really do need it and things aren't looking so hot rn#anyway sorry but yup i have no income and any support on patreon is hugely appreciated ;_;#i do my best to make it worth it

I haven’t complained abt this here yet but my computer lobotomized itself while I was recovering from surgery last week and won’t connect to the internet. We’ve tried everything - taking it apart for the WiFi chip, updating drivers, the whole shebang. Waiting on a backup from August to see if that fixes it; if not, I might need to actually buy a new PC :(
#ra speaks#personal#I was saving my tax return for a new pc but I’ve since donated p much all of it to campaigns….#and I can’t ask my parents to maybe get one for my b day bc. I’m helping them pay off medical bills as compensation for taking care of me#post surgery and it’s like urghhhghgg I hate money….

My brother said something the other day about how no-one could prove if the current anti-Israel boycotts are actually making an impact cuz there could be other reasons people aren't eating at McDonald's or whatever
But besides the fact that there are many articles easily find-able online saying that the companies are aware of and feeling the impact of such protests, and some are even making some changes, I needed to make a point to him about why I participate in boycotts whether they're successful or not
But my brother tends to get annoyed and stop listening whenever I talk real politics, so I tried to make a really simple analogy
Let's say there's a man outside our house, and he is just beating people to death with sticks. Not people from our neighborhood, but still, people. We can't call the cops to stop him, because they think he's doing a great job. And we can close the blinds and ignore him, but he's still there and we know it.
And he has a big pile of sticks, so when one breaks he can get another to beat the next person to death with
So one day you have to go outside and the man turns to you and says, "Hey. Can you pass me a stick?"
And maybe it doesn't matter if you do or not. Maybe someone else will give him a stick anyway, or he'll get one on his own, or he'll start punching people
But I don't want to give him a stick.
And maybe I can't stop him, but I at least don't want to help him
At this point my brother tried to make a joke (because that's what he always does in every conversation) and he said something like "What if you don't give him the stick and then he beats YOU to death"
And I was like, "That's a great point, actually, because the Yemeni wouldn't let weapons shipments through their waterways so Israel bombed them."
And the analogy was broken but. I hope I made my point
Maybe I don't have the power as an individual half a world away to stop a genocide. But I at least want to not contribute to it
#i don't want to put this in the main relevant tags because i don't want to attract the ire of certain folks on this site#iykwim#mod post#family stuff#and i know i am oversimplifying massively here but i just wanted to get a point across to my brother without getting too granular about it#because he was only gonna listen for so long#i guess i am posting this in case someone else has a family member who disparages them for participating in a boycott#and maybe this analogy might help a bit#i already feel really helpless in the face of what's going on in the world so tbh it really upset me when he implied#that the boycotts may not be doing anything. maybe starbucks profits are down cuz they suck and are expensive he says#i need to believe that it is doing something. i need to believe my actions are making some tiny miniscule difference#cuz i can't donate much. i can't go over there and help people. i can't evacuate them or heal their wounds or save their families#but i can at least avoid giving my money to some of the companies that are supporting their oppressors#i wish i could avoid giving money to everyone who supports israel but unfortunately#some companies own half of everything and i can't keep track#and also i'll get in trouble if i don't pay taxes#i am babbling now sorry. it's nearly 2 am. i'm gonna... leave this here

Actually I’m gonna go more in depth here. Tags were before I wrote this part.
Even with a basic savings account, the 10million will quickly outsize what the 1k a day is capable of.
1k a day, may as many have said, reach 10million in 27 years.
But the 10million in those 27 years, even from just basic interest, could reach a lot more.
Like this:
I’ll put the interest rate at 3%. Modest conpared to some, but reasonable. It’ll partially account for how interest rates fluctuate form high at 5 to 6% to lows of 1%
Lets say you spend 1 million to get a house, pay off loans, decrease your weekly expenses.
9 million stowed away for interest.
After 1 year, 9 million becomes 9 270 000 (increased by 270 000)
The second year, that becomes 9 548 100 (278 100 increase)
Third year: 9 834 543 (286 443 increase)
Fourth Year: 10 129 579 (295 036.29 increase. Im lazy and ifnrinf the .29 tho)
At least point you have officially recouped the money you spent paying off loans/buying a house or using as simple spending money.
Fifth year: 10 433 466 (303 887 increase)
Sixth Year: 10 746 469 (313 003 increase)
Seventh Year: 11 068 863 (322 394 increase)
Eighth Year: 11 400 928 (332 065)
Ninth Year: 11 742 955 (342 027)
Tenth Year: 12 125 243 (352 288)
Eleventh Year: 12 489 000 (363 757)
And after 11 years the interest alone almost matches the amount you get each year from the 1k a day.
And with each year the bench mark to match the lump sum amount shifts ever farther.
(By 27 years, the lump sum person with a modest interest rate of 3% could potentially have gotten to 20 041 171$. Double the original sum, and double the ‘goal post’)
All this is with a more reserved interest rate. If you had a higher interest rate or were actively investing, this would be rather different. A 5% interest rate would’ve matched and surpassed the rate of 1k a day in the first year at 450 000 a year (not accountjng tax on the interest) even a 4% on 9 million puts you just under at 360 000 per year, meaning the bery next year youve surpassed it.
Additionally, if you are still working a job, you likely have saved additional money due to not having to pay off loans/pay rent or other stuff. Obviously i habe not accounted for that variable.
Any bad marhs is cause a) its 8 am and i havnet slept wheee (also probably did this a harder way than i needed to)
And also maube just me funbling them keys and numbers fjjfjf.
Explain your reasoning plzzz
#im surprised how many people are choosing the 1k a day#when like doing the math you wont even fet close to the 10 mill at once#and with a limp sum at once you xan more quickly get a house and defrease your weekly/monthly expense of rent#cs havibg to wait a year or more to save up enough (or howver long yous beed for just the loan so maybe only a few mobths)#plus with 10 mill youd get interest#i do wish these thibgs would say what currency like usd or whatever your own currency is?#cause like 10mill usd is#16 627 000 ish nz dollars so#vs 10 mill nz being like 6013000 ish in usd so#but even so lump sum defibitely#and interest rates even if it was like 1% youd get like 100 000 k or sone shot for it#and then that gets taxed but youd still be getting more in retunr#which you could donate and use to help epople in shit#can help more people with 10 mill than#well lemme do the actual maths for how mcuh youd grt with the 1k a day#im dumb i did my maths wrong#you would get more in the end with the 1k a day oops#why did i matth so pooorly noooo (i missed a 0 on the 1k lol)#so with the 1k a day youd get 365 000 a year#over 60 years thats 21 900 000 so yeha better than the 10mill just over a long amount of time#oops my math did a fuck up wheeee#and im too lazy to delte my tags#even so having a lump sum at the start would help some people oit of having to pay rent and shit constantly and pay off loan interest and#but idk if the interest on the lump sum would beat out the total over the uears for the 1k a day#plu witj 1k a day i suppose you always habe the security of knowing youre gonna get that money even if soneone hacks your account or some s#tho depending on the interest rate with the 10 mil if you dont touch it for a bit#you will end up making more interest per year than youd get per year with the .1k a day#fuck im almost at tag linit. but anyway if youre ahove 3% per year for interest youll get the same amount back basically#then interest gets taxed but even so within a few years youll be getting more interest than with just the 1k so long as you dont touch stra#dont touch it straight awya

i need to find somewhere to work a second job that would be a flexible schedule and let me work like 4-6 hours a week (I don't think I've got energy for more than that), not a conflict of interest with my full time gig and nearish to my house so I can make an extra $300 a month
#i'm worried about trying to figure out taxes being a doordasher so i think that's out at the moment#:\ i just want to stop feeling like i've got to be saving every dollar#i want to buy myself treats and the way my mortgage is now i feel like i can't OR ELSE#i've been pulling out of savings to pay everything off every month and its not sustainable#i don't feel like i was spending wildly before so there isn't a whole lot i can “cut back” on#do i open a kofi? please donate so that i can stop worrying about money

Basically. I got screwed.
I am very sorry for how relatively quiet this blog has been but I've been dealing with a very unpleasant situation the last few months, and now I need help.
Essentially, I tried to help someone out, and she took advantage of me, and I have no way to recoup my losses.
Earlier this year, I moved into a new house. Before we sold the old house, a Now-Former friend ran into some trouble and was about to become homeless with pets and a small child. Not wanting them to be on the street, we offered to hold off selling the old house so she could stay there for a little while, if she could pay the cost of the mortgage on that house (because I could afford one mortgage but not two) while we helped her find somewhere more permanent.
I was not making money from this- since I was still paying the utilities and property taxes, I was actually losing money, but willing to soak that in order to help her save up and get her on her feet.
Instead, she:
Never Paid a Dime towards covering the mortgage costs like she agreed ($12,000 for the nine months she was there)
Trashed the house ($500 dump fees for the trash alone)
Let her pets piss and shit all over the house ($1,500 bio hazard cleanup, $4000 to replace the carpet and other damaged flooring)
Caused an electrical issue in the garage ($900 to repair)
Broke the washer, dryer and refrigerator ($2500 to replace)
Broke the fence ($1000 to repair)
When I told her I could no longer financially support her and that I needed to sell the old house, she illegally squatted there for a solid three months and I had to hire a lawyer and actually take her to court to get her to leave ($2,500)
The resulting stress has been, as you can imagine, stressful.
So stressful, in fact, that it aggravated a the medical conditions my husband had and made him extremely sick. He had to go to the hospital and take time off work to recover. Now the health insurance is trying to weasel out of paying his short-term disability claim.
So net, this woman has managed to cost me around $25,000 and that's not taking into account the missed paychecks and medical expenses. I do not have $25,000, and until at least $13,000 of that is spent to repair the damage she did, I legally cannot sell the house to even begin to recoup my losses.
Theoretically, I could sue this woman, but she doesn't have any money and it would be me paying even more money I don't have to get... Nothing. So I'm asking for help to cover the costs of getting the old house ready to sell, my husband's medical expenses, and other expenses incurred by this debacle:
If you can help out in any way-share, donate spare change, anything- I'd be extremely grateful.
Thank you.

To break the chains of child labour, collective efforts are needed. Organisations like Salaam Baalak Trust (SBT) recognise the urgent need to protect street children from exploitation. The NGO in Delhi regularly carries out awareness campaigns, outreach programmes, and community partnerships. It aims to prevent child labour by providing education, vocational training, and alternative livelihood opportunities.

Please click the campaign and bookmark it. Please donate now and boost for Nour's family to survive.
This is a lifeline, we have to hold very tightly to our end of this lifeline.
Help the victims of genocide and ethnic displacement and bombing and famine and deprivation of education and medical infrastructure and racist attacks and censorship. Think of how many that will die today, not even knowing that they could have created accounts that could have been ignored here.
The lifeline I spoke of, if we let go, not only do people definitely die, but we lose our souls too. But I don't care about us, we have had too many chances and we squander our good luck and are irrationally proud of being 'brat' and selfish. To hell with us, HELP THE PALESTINIANS, I guarantee you we will be fine and they won't. Time to help. I said now.
Hello everyone
I am Nour from Gaza
.I need your help if you can
Please donate to save my life and the lives of my children
