Grian wasn't quite sure what was wrong, but something about today felt incredibly off. It wasn't the kind of off that would come with venturing out of your comfort zone, or the kind of off where one little piece of a puzzle was missing, no. As Grian walked around the hub of the server he had gone to for building inspiration, it's almost as if eyes followed his every little move.
He was no stranger to this kind of feeling. Watching eyes were almost always around him, but in reality they posed no true threat. This feeling, though, felt dangerous, the feathers covering the back of Grian's neck raising and lowering uncomfortably, the pesky bird inside his mind squawking in discomfort.
Grian walked up to a large portal design, drawn in by the vibrant red color mixed with warm whites. He wasn't quite sure if he wanted to use a color palette like this, but the flame-like block structures had a sort of beautiful intricacy that he'd love to be able to replicate.
Sketching down some badly drawn doodles in his inspiration journal, Grian was sure enough that he had a proper reference he could take back to Hermitcraft. He turned and continued down a path through a forest-inspired build, and for a few moments, maybe more, of crude sketching and quick steps, the unnerving feeling disappeared.
'It was all just my imagination, then.' Grian thought to himself, relief seeping into his shoulders. That was until he turned into a rather unassuming assortment of unique facades that his relief vanished.
His arm was grabbed and he was pulled between two facades, immediately pinned by the chest to a brick wall. Grian's wings flared painfully and his head spun for that moment, confusion of all things overriding his senses. His eyes refocused and met those of the shadowy figure in front of him.
The man was taller than Grian, dressed in blue and white. Brown curls spilled out of a white hood, and piercing red eyes locked onto Grian's blue ones. The worst part was a pair of rabbit ears on top of the man's head. Never in his life did Grian know if they were authentic, or if they were fake and their "authenticity" was a joke, but they were the same as they were all those years ago.
"Hello, Gree~on." Sam almost cooed, a sick smile on his face. "It's been so long, I've missed you!"
Grian felt sick immediately, adrenaline flooding his frozen body. "What, have nothing to say? Cat got your tongue?" The pressure against Grian's chest grew. "Poor birdie. He's so scared!" Sam's voice felt like fishing line tightening around Grian's neck, not thick enough to grab, and strong enough to cut off his airways. Sam may as well be pressing his nails into Grian's neck.
"This is just like back in highschool!" Sam's tone held realization as he cocked his head to the side. "Like, back in that shed? When I gave you the Torit-"
In an instant, Sam was sprawled across the ground and Grian's fist was in front of him. Grian had never really learned how to defend himself, or how to really punch properly, but the sudden connection of Grian's knuckles to Sam's nose felt so right. Grian's eyes darted from the empty space in front of him to Sam, who was spewing profanities as he sat up.
"What is wrong with you, Grian!?" He shouted. Grian's eye twitched at the correct pronunciation. Since when did Sam say his name like that? Grian stepped forward. "You." Grian simply muttered an answer to Sam's angered question. Sam stood with blood pouring out of his nose. "What was th-" Sam was interrupted yet again with another punch to the nose, being sent turned around and stumbling.
Some sort of sick satisfaction filled Grian. "That was for Taurtis. Remember him?" He spat as Sam looked back at him. "The one you sent to the emergency room?" Thoughts of Taurtis filled Grian's mind again, how he insisted on driving Grian to the airport that one night despite bleeding out from a deep wound into some important organ. Grian didn't know. He was only seventeen when Sam nearly killed Taurtis.
"He deserved that." Sam growled and quickly turned to Grian again. If he didn't see it coming, he would probably already be back at spawn, but Grian caught Sam's wrist, whose hand held a knife that was just centimeters from cracking open Grian's skull.
Sam was thrown on the ground again and his knife that was usually kept unsafely in his back pocket skidded across the granite and terracotta sidewalk and into the Blackstone road, Sam letting out a hiss. Grian kicked Sam down and pressed his foot on his chest, pointing his sword down at the brunette's neck.
Grian didn't care that there was a 'sheathed swords' policy on this server, he didn't care as he pressed the flat against Sam's chin, and he definitely didn't care as the red haze of coded server warnings flooded his vision. Both literally and figuratively, Grian saw red.
Luckily Sam was smart enough to not move much, as shoving Grian's foot away would likely result in a painful death and trouble breathing for the next couple of days. Blue eyes met red. "Woww," Sam mused, "I didn't know you were capable of doing something like this, Gree~on."
"Say my name again. I dare you." Grian hissed. Sam merely smirked. "Y'know, if you kill me, you can get banned and blacklisted from so, so many servers with no-kill policies. I heard Taurtis was on one of those, actually."
That was all Sam needed to say for Grian to falter. His sword was slapped to the side and his ankle grabbed and yanked left, making him lose balance and fall hard on his side. Sam grabbed Grian by the wings and yanked him up, shoving him into the plastered wall of a shop facade. Grian cried out and pushed back, bracing his feet against the wall and reaching over his head to grab Sam's wrists.
Grian pushed to the side and sent Sam crashing into a trash can. He bent down and grabbed Sam's ankles, dunking him in and earning a frustrated scream. Grian turned to look for his sword, but Sam's arms wrapped tightly around Grian's neck. Grian choked and keeled forward, Sam ending up on his back, which Grian quickly changed by slamming both himself and Sam into the sidewalk.
Sam scrambled for his knife. Grian scrambled for Sam. Limbs flung this way and that and feathers flew through the air with rubber soles scraping against stone and fists meeting flesh. Grian punched and punched and punched, adrenaline flooding his veins with white hot rage.
It was only after Grian was yanked off of Sam that the adrenaline left his body. An admin held Grian's arm firmly, pressing a cold pack to his left eye as two mods carried Sam's unconscious body away. Grian stared apathetically, his hands in his lap and his form slouched.
Something within Grian felt happy. The little pesky bird in his mind chirped with glee at the sight of finally beating the ever-loving sense out of Sam, at finally getting back at him for just a portion of what he caused Grian and Taurtis. Something else felt bad, though, like a pit in his stomach that knew beating up even your worst enemy was wrong. 'You're just as bad as him.' It whispered in Sam's voice. Grian chose to ignore it.
A few hours passed, the admin of the server discussing a few things with Grian, such as how Grian couldn't pull out swords on that server and how he'd be getting a temporary suspension from it, and how they wouldn't tell other servers about this. Grian was returned to Hermitcraft, taken back after the admin called Xisuma. Grian walked quietly next to his admin and held the cold pack to his eye.
"Want to tell me what happened?" Xisuma asked like a concerned dad. Grian watched the floor as they passed through the realm between servers. "I beat up my childhood bully." He mumbled. Sam was much more than a bully, but Grian wasn't ready to open that can of worms yet.
"Did he start the fight you had today?"
Grian shook his head. A bit of shame filled him. "I threw the first punch. ..I didn't even know what happened, actually. Sam was just.. on the ground." He spoke a bit clearer for Xisuma to hear.
"I heard there were weapons involved." Xisuma continued cautiously. Grian nodded.
"He had the knife out first. I didn't want to have to respawn." He said.
Xisuma and Grian arrived at the gateway to Hermitcraft. "How about you give me his tag so I can blacklist him?" He asked. Grian looked up for the first time since the fight, meeting Xisuma's eyes behind his visor. His eyes held a warm care, the complete opposite to Sam's cold red eyes.
Grian felt himself smile. Hermitcraft had always been his safe place, but with an extra level of security Grian had never even thought about, Sam would be barred from even having the chance to hurt Grian there.
Grian helped type in Sam's tag, and after permabanning Sam from ever entering Hermitcraft, even under a different name, Xisuma led Grian back through the portal, and they appeared in the season nine shopping district. Grian immediately noticed Mumbo's diamond button, and how Scar and Mumbo were hanging around it.
"Grian!" Scar raised his arms and waved from his seat on the sidewalk. "You okay?" Mumbo turned to look, waving as well. "Hey Gri- oh, your eye?"
Grian stepped forward as his friends approached him, Scar with his cane and Mumbo with open arms. The three embraced.
"Will you be okay on your own, Grian?" Xisuma asked, and Grian nodded. Still unsure of what was going on, Scar gave a thumbs up and a big smile. "We got him, X!" He assured. Xisuma just shook his head fondly and left.
Grian was brought to sit in front of the diamond button, Mumbo and Scar on his left and right. "Did you get punched in the eye, mate?" Mumbo asked. "Did you fight someone?" Scar then added, "You won, right?" Grian almost wanted to laugh.
"Ah, look at that smile, he did fight someone and win!" Mumbo grinned. Scar clapped. "Who was it? Tell us, tell us!"
Grian was finding it hard to keep a smile down, because really, he shouldn't be smiling at someone else's pain. The pesky bird in his mind was pulling levers though, and Grian couldn't help but laugh.
Something darker in his mind distantly told him how much of a terrible person he was, tried to remind him of the past. The thoughts sounded like Sam. Grian chose to ignore them.
taurian, thats the take. /j
i kinda hate the "grian meets sam again and has to be saved cuz he would be too terrified to fight" like ok is good, understandable u want angst buT I NEED MORE GRIAN THROWING HANDS LIKE THATS THE DREAMSLAYER RIGHT THERE

TAURTIS.
Taurtis isn't talked about enough. He's genuinely gotten drowned out and it's golly awful!!! Everyone's so focused on Sam and grian and their stuff taurtis gets drowned out.
Taurtis is such an anomaly and he is MORE than just some silly guy who's Sam's best friend. I'd argue he's just as bad or maybe even a tad bit worse. Hear me out.
Straight up at the beginning of the series, no one mentions (outside of like 2 people) that taurtis has killed someone and made it on TV while getting away with it. Bros the first murderer we see in the season revealed and hey, this can imply he's done it before and never gotten caught. Taurtis knows damn well how things are and id argue hes the result behind Sam's behavior. Not Yuki, while she did also heavily influence him, he did a lot more damage.
No one ever mentions ot though because he's just a "silly little guy"
Even from the start Taurtis has been seen making these decisions for Sam but the way they work is making it look like the others independent when I can argue they're both codependent on eachother in a way. Taurtis even convinces and forces the idea of Sam doing things for to a sense someone can see "for his (Sam's) own good" When Sam was in love with Sookie and found out she was into women, he was bummed out, however Taurtis was the one who suggested he could chop her up or get Sam to dress as a girl in which; he even protested at first and kept denying. Taurtis in the beginning had a small weird obsession with when things went wrong; they could resort to "chop chop" It is known and we all talk about Sam and Yuki being a yandere but what about Taurtis being one potentially? I know this can be diminished by the nice treatment Salex (I have a whole another yap session about salex and him and sam) The second Sam said he had no chance with Sookie, Taurtis asked about using force and deceiving to help get Sam what he wants. Also for whatever reason he has a TON of images of Sam on his phone canonically?? Am I the only one who's taking that into acc?
Sam is EASILY one of the most quick-to-influence characters in the series and can easily be manipulated, despite being described as a manipulator himself. And the person who's been with him the most in life and who's been living ALONE with for who knows what time? For Sam to having gone down the rabbit hole he is, the person who'd have tk influence that would have to be Taurtis. He encourages and excuses everything and I'd argue he even partakes in stuff in his own time. There's also the fact he has no problem hurting his own friends as well, he's CONSTANTLY being physical with Sam and he doesn't even care with Stabbing him off a building as a friendly gesture to a sense. There's also the fact he literally doesn't care if someone (coughs SAM) plays dress up with him whenever they want, it's fine its whatever right?? He could care less about that stuff
HOWEVER in the end he's still a teenager, he's a genuinely insecure teenager. It's not directly stated however it is very much implied with his reactions and interactions and his need/drive to impress others and for them to be impressed by and to want him. He almost needs people to need him and that's probably part of what makes him happy about Sam's codependency because he knows Sam needs Taurtis. Taurtis needs someone to need him, which is probably what started his infatuation with salex because she always praised and flirted with him and fueled his confidence; that's what he wants or "needs." That's part of where I think not only Sam but TAURTIS is also codependent in his own way. It's an eye for an eye. He gives what he wants and expects that to be given back in its own way. He's more than happy with being popular and having Sam do so much, hell that helps boost his confidence. He's got his own demands and we've seen instances where he makes Sam supply hjm or give him his own food (which my friend has pointed out that Sam's willing to even starve for taurtis if it meant taurtis could feel full/get what he wanted.) We see Taurtis even being insecure when Sam and Grian point things out (like when he went bald and how horrible it looked) and he instantly jumped on trying to find ways to quickly grow his hair back. He doesn't want that imperfection. He's quick to jump to conclusions too because when Sam makes a small comment he INSTANTLY retorts. (Example; "you have a great chewwy/ you'd be a great chewwy-chewbaca" "are you saying I'm hairy/fat???) He's still an insecure teenager, despite his popular and having someone straight up need him to be even the slightest bit okay, I dont think he'd willingly abandon that
I have so much more to say but rn this is what I'm giving, I could go into his relationship with Sam, his acts/interests, hus family and childhood but that's for another episode

A little announcement about "It's code for "I love you. " I'm putting it on hiatus. It's not necessarily finished, but I probably won't be coming back to it for a while. I left it in a good spot so that if I do want to, I can, but if I don't, it's a decent ending.
That being said, I'm starting a new Grumbo fic called "Soul Seer," so maybe watch out for that? Thanks so much for your support with my writing. This is like my dream.

“Love me or hate me,”
To the watchers, it’s a game. A funny twist they had intended to put on the Life Games to make it more entertaining. Grian, their little ‘escapee’ and Scar, a bumbling fool who somehow had made Grian smitten, their narratives completely intertwined. RQYNEXSK - translated into some sort of alphabet a human brain can understand, not their true name - wasn’t all that impressed by Scar; not with his sunny personality and adoration of the scary feline creatures.
“the desert seems to say,”
But they supposed they had to give the puny half-vex half-human a little credit; after the first Life Game - 3rd Life, RQYNEXSK’s favorite season - the Watchers had come to the conclusion that they didn’t need to meddle with the two’s fates. They seemed perfectly twisted and knotted together on their own. How the man had managed to completely interwove their two strings together was a mystery even beyond the High Council.
“this is what I am,”
Before he had scampered off, Grian’s string - like all Watcher’s strings, kept hidden and privately, heavily guarded - was completely singular. It was straight and red; some dots of color poked through, blue and white staining the younger years of the thread, thin canary yellow - and other colors, like a bright lime green and a darker blue, but canary yellow seemed the most prominent - lines running through the thick of the string. And when he joined the Watchers it had been a mix of overwhelming purple and straining red. But otherwise, completely normal. RQYNEXSK’s own string - though it had probably been a millennia since they’d seen it - had been even worse, full of colors that the High Council assured them didn’t matter anymore.
“and this is what I shall remain.”
But now, if the reports were anything to go by, Grian’s string was completely interlinked with Scar’s. Without any meddling, without any twisting or turning of fate and destiny, they two had braided themselves together. It was almost romantic, but RQYNEXSK wasn’t a sap. The narrative the two had unknowingly written was nothing but dry heat and searing, burning pain - like being trapped in a desert, with nothing but each other.

I'm going through evo right now, and I'm a bit past the part where Taurtis joins, but he said he's like a time traveler, and that sparked something in my brain.
Like I already like the thought where they are/were boyfriends/friends with benefits, but in current time Mumbo and Grian are married and in the hermitcraft polycule.
Imagine past Taurtis moving through time and ending up in current time seeing Grian, then trying to do boyfriend things like kissing or saying I love you in a not platonic way. Then Grian just rejects him, says its married, and in relationships with other people, and now everything is awkward.
There is also the possibility of angst with Taurtis trying to figure out what happened and when they broke up, was it his fault, did they just fall out of love, what?

Is there a canon relationship that is the most healthiest one that it can stick out like a sore thumb
Or a character that isn’t that bad and got a good ending
I think Cringy George x Jorje can top to be the most healthiest ship. Both are e-daters that happily got together in the end so the trio can know how Jorje’s sheep friends are brutally slaughtered. If you don’t know what I’m talking about then watch Tokyo Soul #9
T.O.A.S.T.E.R.B.O.Y. does nothing wrong for wanting to make his uncle proud and be the best villain and Doughboy gets a happy ending and just goes along for the ride and wears a pretty skirt later on. If you also don’t know what I’m talking about then watch Tokyo Soul again
Aphmau x sam is unfortunately not healthy because aphmau died in the end, can’t date a ghost lmao

This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things
AU, Where Scar joins before the beginning of YHS
Scar tries his best to avoid Sam and Taurtis, but when they invite him to join them in a bet to stay in the school overnight, it's difficult to say not to Taurtis. What he finds there makes him sorely regret his decisions.
Mature Rating due to Gareth's death and the explanation of the classroom
Trigger Warning for Gareth's ending in the series and the depiction of the scene after it all happened later in the writing (it's not too graphic)
Written for Episode 13
Scar tried to avoid situations, especially when they caused drama. That was why he felt uncomfortable when he realised that certain people were in the same class as him. He didn’t know them or really recognise them at first. On the second day, when Sam really started to show himself properly in class, Scar saw him and began to recognise him in and out of school.
Many of the students had mostly labelled him as an awkward loser, and although Scar did think them right, he didn’t take the belief himself. After all, he wanted to keep his opinions of everyone nice until something showed otherwise, and even if he was a bit odd, that didn’t necessarily make him a bad person. At least, that’s what Scar first thought.
He tried to ignore what was happening when he saw Sam, Taurtis and J inside Gareth’s house (seemingly sneaking about), but when it came out around social media… It was difficult to ignore. That was when Scar decided to try to avoid the trio and their little dramas. After all, he didn’t want to stress himself out too much.
When everything had seemingly calmed down the next day (apart from people accusing Gareth of killing his ex-wife), he thought people had ignored the whole situation and come back to most of its normality… Before leaving for lunch, he tried to comfort Gareth a little, but the teacher seemed so out of it that he hardly noticed Scar.
Coming back the next day made Scar’s blood run cold. Gareth had… Died? It was worse that Gareth left things for them during their lesson and that some students decided to stay with the teacher’s hanging body. When people finally came in to see what was happening, he felt more than glad that school had been cancelled.
From there and for a while, Scar either didn’t show up for school, or everything was such a mess he wasn’t really partaking in anything. He hadn’t known Gareth well, but for that to happen during his first few lessons with a teacher… Well, things weren’t going well for his new school. He’d often find himself in one of the empty classrooms by himself, trying to figure out what work was in front of him.
A couple of nights later, when he’d gone out for a meal, Sam and Taurtis and a bunch of people ended up coming to the restaurant he’d parked himself in; he tried to ignore them and stay out of the loop until he heard a bet going on. Dom, as idiotic as the day he’d first met him, had dared Sam to go to the school at night and see who could stay the longest.
Sam, being an idiot, both agreed and roped Taurtis into it. Scar tried talking to Taurtis privately shortly after to get him or Sam out of the situation. After all, they’d be breaking and entering… Yet, neither of them seemed to care. In fact, by the end of the conversation, Taurtis had somehow managed to rope Scar into the whole situation as well. That was why he stood outside the building, waiting for the others to arrive.
When they arrived, not only did he realise that Sam and Taurtis were there, but Salex and Invader had also found themselves in the situation. Scar couldn’t have face palmed harder. When they noticed him, they came over, and Taurtis welcomed him for the ride, with Sam being a little indifferent to his presence. Scar didn’t really care, though, and just wanted to get this over and done with.
“M…Maybe they won’t show up,” The small group heard from the opening of the school. Taurtis only laughed at that and brought himself closer. “Wassup Dom! We’re here, bruh!” Sam shouted, making Scar cringe inwardly. He then tried to lag behind the girls to try and make it look like he wasn’t there. “We’re here, and we’re queer!” Taurtis shouted, completely ignoring his girlfriend beside him.
Sam laughed at the other, and the two had a small conversation about how they weren’t queer shortly after. The male, lagging behind, suddenly realised how much these two had gone off track with their original goals and how slow the night would be. He almost wanted to step out now before they even went inside.
Dom quickly brought the conversation back to what it should have been. “It looks pretty spook. Are you sure you nerds can handle it?” He asked, glancing at the two with a smirk. Sam only took offence to the fact that Dom thought he couldn’t handle it and almost spat in his face as he shouted that he could handle it.
Everything quickly dissolved into chatter shortly after, and Scar began to tune out their conversation as he looked nervously at the darkened school. Suddenly, he noticed Sam was walking into the school with everyone hurrying in after him, including a blind Invader. With a heavy sigh and his paranoia telling him not to go in with them, he crossed over to the entrance and looked around.
Very shortly after, the Bell rang through the school. “Why’d the bell go off?” He heard Sam mutter, looking up at the ceiling with hesitation. Scar glanced back at the entrance before looking back at everyone else. He could hear other people mutter that it was the middle of the night, and Scar glanced over to Taurtis with his girlfriend. Why was he even here? Why had he decided to come still?
“Is this place haunted?” Sam asked, to which Taurtis replied that it couldn’t be because ghosts don’t exist, but Scar very much thought otherwise. “I mean, Gareth died here not too long ago, Sam,” he quietly reminded the other. That brought everyone’s attention quickly to him as they remembered their teacher quietly.
“I heard that the school has been haunted ever since Teacher Gareth’s death,” Salex chirped up, furthering Scar’s note about their former teacher. “Well… Let’s split up, Dom; you take that side of the school—” Sam said, motioning over to the right-hand of the school with all its classes. “—and we’ll take this side of the school,” Sam continued on, motioning to the gym.
The group became smaller, and Taurtis motioned for him to join them. “C’mon, dude! You can’t leave us behind!” He said, giving a bright smile to the other. Scar shook his head a little and took out a flashlight. It was quite dark, and he knew he didn’t have eyes like his good cat, Jellie. “Oh! That’s a good idea, Scar. Do you have any other flashlights?” Taurtis questioned, looking a little desperate.
“No… I thought you guys would bring your own!” Scar replied, looking a little concerned at the other. Taurtis merely shook his head. “Nah, we came from the restaurant straight over to here,” he said casually as if it were a bragging right. “C’mon, guys! Let’s go further in!” Sam said just as it began to rain outside. Scar came further into the room, acting as their primary light source as they began to look around.
He briefly heard Salex ask Taurtis to stay near him, but the sudden lightning cut off her voice. After the initial shock, the others began to wander off without Scar as he glanced around the room with his flashlight. “Woah, this is the gym teacher’s office,” He heard Sam say in the distance. Glancing nervously, Scar went up to join the others and their little escapade. They were currently going through the gym teacher’s stuff.
“Guys, this is a private room! Should we really be here?” He asked, hoping that they’d come out. Another lightning strike went out as they found some food, and the sound encouraged them to stay inside the room, even if just a little longer. “Maybe we have another look around?” Sam questioned, a little nervous. The others nodded a little more and stole some extra snacks before finally making their way out. All of a sudden, though, Sam had an idea.
“Dude! Wouldn’t it be creepy if we went to Teacher Gareth’s room?!” Sam asked, looking quite excited at the idea. “God no, Sam, that’s a bad idea! It’s all boarded up,” Scar interjected before anyone else could agree with the other. Sam gave him a frown, although he didn’t say anything else to Scar, electing to ignore the other and his common sense.
Another lightning strike went off as Taurtis began to speak, making the others shiver, suddenly feeling quite cold in the gym. Sam continued on. “Do you wanna do it, Taurtis?” Looking at his friend with a bit of a darkened look. “Why don’t you go first, Sam?” The other suggested instead, avoiding saying yes and upsetting his friend. Sam grinned at this as Invader began to talk about Gareth haunting the school again.
The bell rang again, and Scar felt his throat dry. “Maybe we should just wait in the lobby for Dom,” Scar mumbled, not expecting anyone to agree. As he thought, Sam and the others ignored him as they all began walking outside the gymnasium. Scar hurried with his flashlight, using it to find his way around some of the mess left around the school.
Another lightning strike went off as they all began climbing up the stairs, and they soon found Dom once they got to the right floor. They were already in Gareth’s old room, and Scar felt the hairs on his neck prickle upwards. Why wasn’t he leaving already? “What do you want, nerds?” Dom asked from the other side of the hallway.
“Just wanted to make sure you hadn’t decided to leave already like the pansy you are!” Sam quipped back, looking at the other with a dangerously devious look; it quickly left as he saw Dom trying to break into Gareth’s classroom. “What are you doing?” He asked, glancing at the partially opened door. “Trying to get in,” he replied, breaking through the glass.
Invader jumped in quickly, and the others soon joined them as Dom failed to get through the window. Scar glanced at Dom for a long moment before he finally entered the room. As they began to look around, the bell went off again. Only it wasn’t quite normal anymore. It was broken down as if the school was dying itself. They all looked at one another before looking around and noticing the rope.
“Oh my god, it’s still here,” Sam said, drawing everyone’s attention to the rope hanging from the ceiling. It was then that Scar realised how stupid these two genuinely were. “I dare you to stand on the stool, Taurtis,” Sam dared, watching his friend with a freakishly darkened expression. The other didn’t hesitate as he went on the stool.
“‘I’m Teacher Gareth! Blehhh’,” Taurtis joked, standing on the stool with the very rope used above him. Scar looked away, glancing towards the windows with a miserable expression. That was such a horrible way to do something. It felt like disrespecting a grave or a monument. If Gareth hadn’t been treated well in life, he certainly wouldn’t get respect in death either.
“That’s dark, dude,” Dom murmured, feeling slightly uncomfortable at what had just happened. The male nodded himself as he continued looking outside the window. He didn’t want to look into the classroom right now. Taurtis quickly blamed it on Sam with the dare, but the other denied it. Scar inwardly blamed them both. Everyone went along with Dom, saying how bad and insensitive the entire thing had been, and Scar felt a little better at mumbling his own opinion as well. It had been truly disgusting to witness.
Everyone began to settle down in chairs for the classroom as Sam looked to see there were still assignments and tests Gareth had left for them in the chest. Sam went to the front of the class as everyone sat down, eager to read it out to them. He did so with a creepy voice, unlike the one he’d used on the day he found their teacher.
Listening to him made Scar feel like he was drenched in cold water. It didn’t help that another lightning strike went over the school not a second after he finished. This was turning out to be a really, really bad idea. Suddenly the bell made a horrible screeching noise, and everyone began freaking out as if they’d just lit up all the candles in a summoning circle.
Scar kept worriedly looking outside, and Sam moved back into the seat he always sat at the window seat. As he was reminiscing and Scar tried to calm himself, they both saw something horrible. “Wait, wait! Is that Gareth?! I swear I just saw Gareth!” Sam shrieked, looking outside further for their ghostly teacher. “I saw it too! I saw it, too!” Scar shouted, jumping back from the window as he hyperventilated a little.
Sam moved towards the room's opening and looked out to the hallway, looking for the ghostly teacher. “C’mon Sam, stop messing with us! He’s not real! Same goes for you too, Scar,” he scolded, trying to deny what was happening. “I wasn’t— I wasn’t lying!” Scar helplessly cried, glancing over at the window but unable to see their ghostly teacher. “Guys! I think there’s blood out here,” He shouted, looking down the corridor with a large amount of blood pooling around the floor.
Suddenly, Sam shouted louder, claiming that Gareth was coming towards them. Scar thought he was just about to faint; the tension was high, and he felt downright delirious from what seemed to be happening. As he began to get closer, everyone piled out of the room in a panic, and the Bell went off even louder than before.
Dizzy, Scar ran for the other side of the building as he heard Gareth’s voice. “Who… Who killed my wife…” He murmured, his voice echoing through the hallway. The male felt cold and ran after everyone else, keen to stay with them rather than stay behind with the teacher. People ran upstairs, and Sam tried to shake off the blood he’d gotten on his boots.
An idea suddenly struck the other, although it didn’t sound good. “Quick, guys! Let’s hide! Find hiding spots!” He murmured, trying to keep his voice low from the ghost slowly approaching them. Taurtis angrily looked over to his friend, panicked and scared. “There are no hiding spots!” he whisper-hissed to Sam, whom Scar couldn’t help agree with.
“Oh, this is a bad, bad situation!” Scar whispered to himself as he ran down the hallway, shutting off his flashlight and trying to find a good hiding spot. Everyone quickly hid in their own ways, with only a few people hiding properly. Somehow, though, Gareth didn’t try looking for them properly and went further upstairs.
They all quickly went out of the classroom shortly after. “Guys, we need to leave,” Sam said, glancing up at the stairs he’d seen Gareth go up. Then, as a stroke of genius, Sam turned to Taurtis and Scar with a grin. “I dare you both to go upstairs,” he said, pointing at them both. Taurtis whined at the dare whilst Scar completely ignored the other. Now was definitely not the time for anything like that.
Eventually, everyone decided to go up there, including Dom, who ran up without trouble. Scar called after them and Salex, but they both followed anyway. Gareth was on the roof of the school, on the edge. It would’ve been dangerous if he was not already a ghost. They all stared for a long moment before Gareth started slowly turning towards them.
Sam shouted. “He looked at me! He’s looking at us!” He screamed as the bell faintly rang again. Suddenly, though, he began to walk towards them. Scar instantly turned around, screaming in panic as he ran down the stairs, not even thinking about how he could trip and fall them in his panic. Everyone followed after him fairly quickly, with them all keeping close together.
They all ran down the corridor and got to the other set of stairs at the school, running down the stairs with such panic that it was more than a little dangerous. None of them cared, though, electing that it was stupider to stay with a ghost of their teacher at the moment. Scar’s heart was faster than he’d felt in a long time, and he felt like he was about to pass out. Yet, his fight or flight was ingrained, not allowing him to rest until he was safe.
They finally sort of settled at the opening of the school, where they’d all gathered to ensure they were all there. “Where’s… Salex?” Sam asked, a little nervous at being unable to see her. Taurtis moved a little further back. “She’s here, Sam,” he said, glancing at his best friend. As they all began to leave, Dom stood still, making Scar turn back to him with a frown.
“I’m not going anywhere; I’m not losing this challenge,” he murmured, glaring at Sam. Scar had to admit that what Dom had said took more dedication than many might think, especially with how dangerous it was to stay in the school. Sam said this as well, but Invader, the one who’d been the reasoning behind the bet in the first place, admitted she’d already gotten a restraining order against Dom.
It didn’t seem to matter, though, with Dom ignoring this entirely. As everyone began to calm down and Scar began to feel a little drowsy from all the energy he’d used running, the bell began to screech again, making Sam and a few others run for it anyway. Scar followed after them, not caring for anything else at that time. He just wanted to go home. Lightning kept going around the area, scaring them all as they ran away, but no one seemed to care by then. Getting home was quite a bit more important.
By then, he said a quick goodbye to Sam and tried to leg it, but he was stopped in his tracks by the other grabbing onto his arm. He stopped to turn back to the other, who was looking at him with a deathly creepy expression.
“If you tell anyone… I’ll be looking for you, ‘kay?” He whispered, making Scar shiver as he watched Sam. He nodded numbly, not caring anymore; he just wanted away from the situation. Sam stared at him for a long moment before letting him go and running over to Taurtis, who was now arriving with Invader and Salex. Scar took one look at them before turning back and heading back to his house.
It was dark and cold, and his flashlight stopped working, leaving him scared as he finally found his way home. When he finally arrived home, he locked the door and took a shower, letting himself finally calm down from the night’s events. He didn’t care about whatever the school had for tomorrow; he was not coming. Scar dried himself up and got into bed, putting music on to try and drown out the rest of the lightning strikes.
Never again, never again.
Little did Scar know, this was only the beginning of the worst of his school year.

I am so glad you asked!!! (Real)
Cannibal Grian is from a murder mystery episode that featured Grian as the murderer. (If I remember correctly, this was also the only episode he was in and was selected as the murderer, which is hilarious.)
Here is the video (Theres also a video from Gizzy Gazza Cartoons that is another pov I think):
youtube
In the video, Grian invites all of his friends (except Taurtis who. invited himself.) to his house. But as time progresses, people start disappearing, and are found as pieces in the house.
Near the end, there are only three people left, who are Gizzy, Taurtis, and Grian. Gizzy ends up thinking Taurtis is the murderer and he gets kicked out. After Taurtis leaves, Grian kills Gizzy.
At the end of the video, Taurtis comes back into the house and Grian stabs him in the pool, claiming "its always the host."
It is in fact one of my comfort videos because i love cannibal grian<3
Odd matches of Grians I want to see together with reasons why
Npc Grian and Cannibal Grian (CG flexes about being a homeowner while NPG starts destroying the place to build a rustic house)
TS Grian and Ariana Griande (Ariana is just girlbossing while the poor lad is confused)
Guinea pig Grian and Yhs Grian (I just think it would be neat.)
Evo Grian and Season 9 Grian. (Evo Grian is screaming as S9 Grian goes inside the rift)
Season 7 and Season 9 Grian (they can talk about their robot sons)
RG and Poultry Man (neither would talk to each other. It would be complete silence)
I may add more to this list

I see your ‘Kingdom of Valor was The Watchers tormenting Grian and he was never supposed to be there so he went through all the horrifying events of KOV for no reason not even a multiverse destined one’ and I raise you;
Kingdom of Valor was a ‘real’ server and it happened just a short while before EVO did.
After escaping KOV by sheer luck Grian is left without knowing what to do about what he’s just seen and gone through.
He grows to resent Taurtis for his abusive behavior in KOV, leading to him killing him and eating him and his friends in the Cannibal Murder special. Though that doesn’t do much since they all respawn for the next server. But both Cannibal Murder and KOV put a rift between their friendship that never really recovers.
“So Grian… wanna talk about how you killed and ate me and my friends?”
“I don’t know, Taurtis? Wanna talk about how you sold me twice?”
[They never talk about it]
This brings us to EVO, where Grian is first contacted by the watchers.
The watchers contact him similarly to how a cult contacts new members. For those who don’t know (I went to a catholic school that was smart and taught kids how to avoid getting dragged into a cult) cults target people who have recently experienced a form of loss or tragedy.
(Idk about you but I would consider my best friend selling me to be a loss or a tragedy)
This leaves him very vulnerable to the watchers’ manipulation.
They kinda lovebomb him so he isolates himself in the Grian empire, very rarely showing his face.
“Wait your only friend is the loser that abused you two servers ago?? Y’all fuck that, we would never! We think you’re so cool and the idea of only thinking about you for your body is gross gang you should really get better friends.”
They give him security and reassurance that Taurtis could never give him after what he did to him in KOV even if he tried.
The watchers contacting him at all indirectly tells him; “hey none of that should’ve happened you’re more than your body and we’re here to protect you.”
So by using the trauma he went through in KOV to their advantage (and using the fact that his best friend is fucking TAURTIS) they get him on their side. By the sheer fact they chose to contact him, they tell him that he was worth more than what happened to him and what his friends did to him. And that’s what makes him more receptive to the watchers.
Watchers: He [Taurtis] doesn’t deserve you! If he doesn’t treat you right by now, you’re gone!
Grian: I’m gone!
Watchers: Now go chop his dick off!!
Kingdom of Valor Headcanon
Kingdom of Valor takes place after EvolutionSMP.
Kingdom of Valor wasn't actually a server.. In the main universe at least.
In the process of being turned into a watcher, every universe that the player becomes a watcher in merges their consciousness. So Grian in his watcher form can view every universe he's a watcher in.
In Kingdom of Valor, Grian doesn't exist. There was no Grian. Until the watchers placed him there.
Part of his insanity in that world came from his trauma.
