When Maribel was a child, she had a picture-perfect life; her mom and dad seemed happy and in love and she was doted on constantly, up until the age of nine when everything suddenly changed.

Her dad lost his job due to staff cutbacks and struggled to find another, instead he would spend his free time sat in front of the television and drinking his life away.

Once he had drank, Diego turned nasty - hurling insults at his family and especially picking on Maribel when it came to her looks and weight; manipulating her to believe that she would never be good enough to be loved by a man, she was too fat and too ugly.

This escalated to using physical abuse against his wife and eldest daughter until Alessia decided she had had enough, divorcing him when Maribel was thirteen years old.

Her mother then remarried, a rich wealthy director; instantly changing Maribel’s and her sibling’s life forever.

During this time, Maribel had been attending singing and art lessons; using them as a to escape life at home but it soon became apparent, she was very talented.

Once she had left school, she attended Parsons to study fashion which helped her more when it came to designing and styling clothes.

As time has passed, she has managed to climb her way up in the fashion world, also gaining more and more popularity and being hired as a celebrity stylist.

She is a very protective big sister and is very loyal to her friends, mostly - if she sees a way to gain an upper hand, she probably wouldn't hesitate to throw one of her close friends under the bus.

5 25/60 11 10/60 hour talking to John in the courtyard - dressed and out at 6 40/60 - down the old bank and got to Stony Royde in 20 minutes - Mrs. R- [Rawson] would not be down of 20 minutes said I would return to breakfast - walked about (towards Siddall and up the hill towards Southowram) for 25 minutes, and then went in to breakfast - very glad to see me - sat talking very cozily - somehow got upon people’s being odd - I said almost every one was one 1 way or other - all Mrs. R- [Rawson]’s daughters more or less odd and 1 or 2 of her sons at least

My father odd and my sister and myself  Mrs. R [Rawson] said my mother was odd, yes, but said I there was much to be said for, then told how my father would say very well please yourself and let her fancy she might do a thing and she might not  [she] once almost take a house to please herself and then said she might go but he never said he would  I had heard him say about some cupboards at Skelfler oh let plan if she can please herself that way I’ll not have it done - Told how he had once said I might order John the footboy’s clothes and then how he immediately without my knowing set all aside and that I had quietly said I would never from that time have anything to do with his establishment nor ever sit at the head of his table, Marian always to do that and I had been as good as my word tho it was fourteen years ago

I sauntered in the garden 10 minutes or 1/4 hour to leave Mrs. R- [Rawson] to herself - talking to the gardener about bringing up a boy to be a gardener - Boys of 15 were apprenticed to gentlemen’s head gardeners, and, if the gardener left his place, his apprentices were turned over to his successor - the master had nothing to do with it - it was the perquisite of the head gardener - a young man bound for 7 years paid 5 guineas - but better to change places, and see different ways, and in this case one who went to learn for 2 years in a place paid one shilling or 2 shillings per week to the head gardener - but the best way was to send a lad to a market gardener Throp for instance for 2 years to learn to dig etc and then let him be finished in gentlemen’s places and in London better than in Scotland - all the Scotch gardeners go to London - Throp would allow a young man (ætatis 15 to 16) from the 1st 3/. a week, and he must feed himself

Mrs. R- [Rawson] and I set off at 10 1/4 (our clocks 1/4 too soon) and walked to well head - Mrs. Frances W- [Waterhouse] went out as we went in - sat with Mrs. W- [Waterhouse] and her 2 eldest daughters 1/2 hour - she would have it the people thought I was married but did not know whether to a gentleman or lady  I turned it off in joke but I just whispered it matters not what you say to me but do you say such things as these before those girls?  She made no answer but seemed struck with the justice of my remark - we then walked to the Saltmarshes’, and I sat with with Emma S- [Saltmarshe] and aunt Catherine about 10 minutes and then took my leave - very little was ssaid to me not meant nor taken but I think it would strike Mrs. R [Rawson] and Emma agterwards  Mrs. R [Rawson] has always been and will be I think more than ever my [s]taunch friend

Left the S- [Saltmarshe]s’ at 11 then went and sat 1/2 hour with Mrs. V- [Veitch] returned up the old bank (told Mrs. V- [Veitch] Mrs. Prescotts’ not having had a scarf for my uncle was unintentional) and on getting home seeing John told him I had been thinking of his son - he had best, as he himself had said, make him a gardener - let him have plenty of scholarship - I would give John 50/. for this year’s schooling and pay for another year if necessary - then explained about Throp - said the lad might almost do for himself - but if he wanted help, I was steady, I would help him a little - poor John very thankful, and for his daughter Martha also who came on Wednesday night to be here during my stay to see what can be made of her - still continues going to Mrs. Priestley’s school the 3 first days of the week if my aunt does not object think of taking Martha to Paris

Came in at 12 1/2 - found Mrs. Abbott come to dinner - came upstairs and changed my dress on account of the damp, went down and talked to Mrs. A- [Abbot] above 1/2 hour, and then took Martha and went into the library - dusted and moved into the north room 3/4 of the books on account of Mallinson coming to take the hall-wall down on Monday - dusting and removing books till 6 or after - then went down and stayed talking in the drawing room - Mrs. A- [Abbott] came to walk back with her mother - wished good night (they went away almost immediately afterwards) mainly washed my hands, and sat down to dinner at 7 - came upstairs at 8 3/4 and from then to 9 50/60 wrote the whole of today - Mrs. R- [Rawson] of Stonyroyde sent Marian and to me also grapes this afternoon

As a half frost dragon, Taunch really loves cold, snowy areas like Hebra/Snowpeak, Mount Lanaryu, Mount Hylia, or the Gerudo Highlands.

His favorite weather condition is a light snow. It's the perfect temperature to him and he can reach out and play with the fluffy stuff falling from the sky.

To him, falling snow is like a gentle rain of puffballs. He can even eat it, though he says it lacks taste.

If Taunch ever has offspring, they would also be partially frost dragon. These offspring would have small tails, vestigial wings, short and nubby horns, and a resistance to ice and cold.

Given that Taunch is basically gay (demisexual, though homoromantic), this is unlikely unless he marries Shanz, but it remains a possibility.

Taunch continued to smile. "I see you are transfixed, I suppose, by my nature. I am a half-dragon. While folk such as myself are quite the uncommon sight in Hyrule, somehow the Hyrulean royal guard has several draconic individuals associated, not the least of whom is my comrade Armok, a stone dragon." The ease and kindness with which he spoke indicated he was more than used to it– both sides of it; the stares of admiration, and the stones from those who did not understand.

"I find myself curious about the dragons that once inhabited, and perhaps may still inhabit, this land of Nohr and its neighbors. I have heard your uncle Prince Corrin is a dragon? I'm very interested." It was an honest curiosity, and hard to blame Taunch for.

Personal History:

Taunch was born a half-dragon, to Hylian mother Caomh and frost dragon father Madrash. His mother raised him largely alone in a poor neighborhood with rare visits from his father, but Taunch was a skilled fighter from a young age who trained in the Hateno militia to protect the town from monsters. His skills saw him recommended to be a retainer of the Majeru family, and eventually he gained a recommendation for the royal guard. He accepted the offer, but only after speaking at length with his liege of the time, Kendra, and ensuring she would be safe without him. Sadly, even the funds brought home from his work as a retainer to the Majerus was not enough to spare his mother from a terrible disease…

Location: Hyrule Castle dining hall. Time: About six hours after noon.

While this celebration was largely for the royal guardsmen, no rule existed that declared that any of the guardsmen could not bring their own guests. While Raven worked hard to pen the rules of the drinking contest– with particular attention to the participation of dragons, full or half-blooded– some of the invited attendees entered a bit early.

Raven looked up with a smile to see Leonard; as much friendly shit as he and the other guardsmen liked to level at the strictest of them all, he was a valued comrade and nothing would change that. Accompanying Leonard was a woman of white hair and brown eyes– Lady Tallula, his beloved. The couple took a seat near Raven, at the same table as he.

"I'm having difficulty deciding if Armok and Taunch should be allowed to participate in the drinking contest," Raven explained. "Armok drinks all of us under the table every time."

"Armok drinks you under the table every time," Leonard clarified. "You're the only one who passes out. I don't remember Taunch ever participating in one of these, though."

"He hasn't, but he's interested in this one, strangely enough." Raven shrugged.

"It would be interesting to see how his body reacts to the properties of alcohol," Tallula spoke up. "As a man of frost dragon blood, he may become uncomfortable because he's accustomed to a cooler body temperature, and ale opens up blood vessels, releasing blood, and heat with that blood, into the rest of the body."

Raven nodded along to this, though he didn't quite grasp the how that Tallula just explained, only the bottom line. "I'll allow his participation, then– if that happens, he might quit early to deal with that, so I'll say it counters the advantage he'd otherwise get from having dragon lineage. Armok... It's no fun, everyone knows he would win; best to ask that he not ruin it for everyone else."

I've been playing with Shanz and Taunch as a ship, so here we go: Noel as a quarter-dragon, and their ship-exclusive son Nykan.

Design notes: –Quarter dragons get draconic features: Smaller wings (cannot fly), tails (I would have made them smaller but heroforge doesn't do smaller dragon tails), claws, horns, small finned ears, some scales, draconic eyes. –Quarter dragons get humanoid features: Humanoid faces (as half dragons do), humanoid legs (half dragons get draconic legs). –Altered Noel's usual color scheme to match the more purple skin and scales she gets, including her clothes and hair. I also changed her magic to be more icy and crystalline. –Nykan's clothing and armor colors, I chose to be purple intentionally; I didn't want to fiddle with too many other colors on the color wheel, the 'antique and destroy' gold excepted. Maybe that was lazy, but we don't see Taunch wearing a ton of purple thanks to the fact that we only see him in the royal guard outfit. Which... makes me want to design his casual clothes. Obviously, he needs something with a bare back for his wings.

We pretend that Nykan's armor allows for a gap in his back for the wings.

Fire Emblem: Awakening Muse Verses

Notes:

Requires some knowledge of Shadow Dragon and Mystery of the Emblem, cause that's ancient history of Ylisse's world.

Class sets ignore gender limitations.

New classes include Light Mage (Lambda only, promotes to Light Sage), Foreseer (Shanz only, promotes to Dark Flier or Falcon Knight), Soldier (promotes to Halberdier or General).

More manakete variety means more dragonstones: Divinestone (Lambda, Nah, Nowi, and Tiki only), Earthstone (Divine dragons + Armok only), Firestone (Divine dragons + Lita, Vair, and Wulf only), Icestone (Divine dragons + Taunch only), Magestone (Divine dragons + Lita and Wulf only), Wyvernstone (Divine dragons only because no actual wyverns).

Armok The weirdest example of a Manakete: An Earth dragon who did choose to seal away his true form into a dragonstone, but unlike Medeus, he disappeared during the War of Shadows and has been quietly traveling, up until Tiki took up residence in the Mila Tree, and Armok has decided to hang out and protect her so she’s not lonely. Manakete class, can reclass to Knight and Cavalier.

Bryn A member of Emmeryn’s guard. Warrior class. Was captured with the pegasus knights, and demands vengeance on Gangrel after Emmeryn’s sacrifice. Cannot be recruited until the beginning of the Valm arc. Warrior class, can reclass to Wyvern Rider and Barbarian.

Erdan A swordmaster of Chon’sin, one of Yen’fay’s guard. Knows the pressure Yen’fay is under to protect his sister Say’ri, and is sworn to silence– until he decides that perhaps he can seek aid from someone who has faked his death: Basilio. Knows Basilio is alive thanks to his husband, a mage (of sorts) named Naal. Swordmaster class, can reclass to Archer and Thief.

Gateni A sage from Plegia who defected to Ylisse a long time ago, following an incident where she burned her commanding officer alive rather than murder civilians, and sought asylum in Ylisse. Sage class, can reclass to Dark Mage and Troubadour.

Gwyn A former spy for the Ylissean crown, was a highly skilled agent during the previous king’s war. Regrets some of the things she did, but at least the halidom’s royal family is safe. Trickster class, can reclass to Troubadour and Pegasus Knight.

Halcyon A vulpine Taguel of Plegia who has taken to the seas with a crew of like-minded pirates. Likes to fuck with the Valmese when they invade, and joins the Ylissean forces in the interest of maintaining her freedom and taking Walhart down a peg. Taguel class, can reclass to Barbarian and Wyvern Rider.

Hubert Delphine Langlois’s grandson, heir to her studies and journals. Knows of the future of despair but is sworn to silence until such time comes that he can start acting to prevent it. Tactician class. (He does swords and tomes, which says Dark Knight, but he's not mounted. So Tactician.) Can reclass to Mage and Myrmidon.

Isaac A knight of Valm who was stationed at the Mila Tree to watch over the divine dragon Tiki and keep her imprisoned there; a certain Flame Dragon manakete (Lita) came by and… changed his mind, partially by kicking his ass. Defects to Say’ri’s resistance, and joins the Ylisseans with her. Paladin class, can reclass to Archer and Knight.

Lambda A young divine dragon. Hides her dragonstone to protect herself and the Blackscale rogues who took her in when she was a baby. Recruited when Validar first attempts to assassinate Emmeryn and Chrom; the Blackscales go to interfere in this and Raithyon tells Lambda to go help the Ylisseans however she can. Light Mage class, can reclass to Manakete and Cleric.

Leonard A knight of Ylisse, one of Emmeryn’s guard. Captured along with her pegasus knights when Ylisstol falls; not recruited until the start of the Valm arc. Hero class, can reclass to Archer and Cavalier.

Link A member of the Shepherds. Joined at the suggestion of his father, captain of Emmeryn’s ground guard, to hone his battle skills. Mercenary class, can reclass to Archer and Cavalier.

Lita A fire dragon from the long fallen Dolhr, who travels the world with her younger brother, Wulf, a mage dragon. Kicked the ass of a Valmese knight named Isaac who was stationed at the Mila Tree when Lita wanted to speak with Tiki, and is recruited during the Valm arc when she challenges Yen’fay for apparently betraying his sister. Manakete class, can reclass to Myrmidon and Archer.

Thorn A knight of Valm who, like Isaac, defects because of Lita. Has some feline Taguel blood in him, though he does his best to conceal it. Halberdier class (yea, we're borrowing from Tellius, deal with it). Can reclass to Taguel and Wyvern Rider.

Raithyon Leader of a band of rogues called the Blackscales, blah blah. In chapter six, when Validar attempts to assassinate Emmeryn and Chrom, the Blackscales catch wind of the assassination ahead of time, and march in to prevent this by following Validar’s forces in and striking them from behind. Raithyon challenges Validar himself while he tells Reownha and Lambda to go aid the Ylissean Prince however they can. Assassin class, can reclass to Barbarian and Wyvern Rider.

Raven Captain of Emmeryn’s ground guard, and manages to escape capture when she and her pegasus knights are defeated by Gangrel and dragged to Plegia. Raven is too injured to fight for some time, but he does join at the start of the Valm arc as a Swordmaster class. Can reclass to Archer and Cavalier.

Reownha Daughter of Raithyon Blackscale, sent in with Lambda to assist the Ylisseans in protecting Emmeryn from Validar’s assassination attempt. Reownha figures this is a great foot in the door to getting a paycheck from the Exalted family. Thief class, can reclass to Wyvern Rider and Dark Mage.

Rhoam A lord and warrior from the Valmese continent who surrendered to Walhart rather than fight overtly– and has quietly prepared his own resistance and sent aid to Say’ri. Joins in the Valm Arc during the Valm Castle approach. Warrior class, can reclass to Knight and Mercenary.

Sandalio A member of Emmeryn’s ground guard, captured along with her pegasus knights. Unable to fight until the Valm arc, wherein he joins as a paladin. Can reclass to Archer and Knight.

Shanz A man who knows of the future of despair and seeks to prevent it, by befriending the Shepherds and telling Chrom what’s up. Foreseer class (lance/magic), promotes to Dark Flier. Can reclass to Thief and Mage.

Taunch A half-manakete (ice dragon) who seeks to protect Tiki, and to this end, he resides with her in the Mila Tree. He does not attempt to resist the Valmese who hold her there, but has faith that Tiki will be liberated. Manakete class, can reclass to Mercenary and Wyvern Rider.

Vair A fire dragon who was born to Gildas and Lavena of Dolhr, who in those days defected to the Archanean League to fight with Marth’s father, and were slain. Vair resides in Valm, keeping tabs on Walhart by posing as one of his top commanders, and subtly sabotaging the Conquerer’s work. Joins as a Warrior class, can reclass to Manakete and Mercenary.

Valanthe A divine dragon manakete born shortly before the fall of Dolhr, and Lambda's older sister. Although she conceals her dragonstone, she is still very powerful in that draconic form. Makes her way as a thief or assassin for hire. In her desperate need for funds, she knows ethics are a luxury she can't afford. Assassin class (base Thief), can reclass to Manakete and Mage.

Wulf A manakete (mage dragon) who was born shortly before the fall of Dolhr, and has been guarded jealously by his sister Lita since. For appearances, he is simply a young man who has great talent with healing– leading him to be classed as a Cleric, though he can reclass to Manakete and Troubadour.

Wynne A member of Emmeryn’s ground guard. Captured along with her pegasus knights, joins at the start of the Valm arc. Monk class (She normally does spears, but can do axes... w/e). Can reclass to Troubadour and Pegasus Knight.

Devin Allaway: Raven's father; Link's grandfather. A member of the Hyrulean royal guard in his time.

Reim, Meritz Arcuna: Lita and Wulf's family, with Reim being their Gerudo mother, and Meritz was Lita's twin brother. Reim possessed icy wind magic in her blood, Gazenir was a common Hyrulean blacksmith, and Meritz was a studious mage himself.

Gildas and Cara Bhelthir: Vair's father and younger sister. Gildas was a priest of Din and attendant to the spring of power, and quite skilled in combat. Died in a dragon attack that destroyed his holdings and the entire mining town of Ordorac. Cara is a warrior who seeks to rebuild Ordorac.

Sekkala Blackscale: Raithyon's younger sister, and tactician and staff officer of the Blackscales. Pragmatic.

Tallula Brighid: Leonard Edwards's beloved, a noble of Hyrule who loves animals and studies medicine and healing.

John, Bryant, Raelynn, and Jason Dinrel: John is the head of a family of nobles in Floria, and a skilled inventor of magic items; the other three are his children. Bryant is a traveling bard who works with weapons; Raelynn follows in her father's footsteps in magical science; Jason is a diplomatic bard of sorts working for the Hyrulean crown.

Sheezrar and Valanthe Faenorin: Sheezrar was Lambda's biological father, and Valanthe is her biological sister. Sheezrar was gifted with telekinetic and telepathy abilities which Valanthe inherited– instead of the sacred light magic that Lambda got.

Lavena Glynn: Vair's mother, a very jaded noble who fell in love with Gildas' kindness and sincerity. Died in the dragon attack that killed her husband.

Pyxrin Kaneko: A minor but wealthy noble who fell for Raithyon Blackscale and eloped with him.

Gibelina and Ysabel Langlois: Hubert's mother and aunt. Keepers of ancient secret history penned by Delphine Langlois, their mother or ancestor (verse dependent).

Reyes Liuvigild: A noble son who ran off to join the military rather than engage in politics. A soldier in Link's squad.

Kendra Majeru: A noblewoman of Necluda who has blood ties to the royal family, and has inherited skill with time magic. Former liege of Taunch Kimbatuul, who is a royal guardsman now.

Uther Skeates: Previous king of Hyrule, a powerful noble who married into the royal family for his family's resources. Plunged Hyrule into war in an effort to unite it by force, sacrificing countless Hyrulean people and many neighboring cultures on the altar of his ambitions.
