Gosh, that ask about Tangsanzang post made me sigh in relief haha. I wish that the Western audience wouldn't misunderstand a lot of the cultural aspects of JTTW and understand that the book has a lot of symbolism and not everything should be read in a Western lens.

(And I've literally seen someone imply that Buddha was 'bad' or 'malicious' because he made Golden Cicada repent. Like??? That's so insane and disrespectful???)
