Leitz 90mm Tele-Elmarit Thin Review
by Johnny Martyr Recently, I met up with my friend Ben to photograph the DC Pride parade. He used a 90mm 2.8 Tele-Elmarit, which he recommended, stating that he sold his 90mm Summicron shortly after getting the Elmarit. I had never researched the 90mm Elmarit line but had long heard it was the cure for bloated 90mm Summicrons and calibration woes. 90 Thin Tele-Elmarit on the left, 90 E55…

"The deal was, Lennon was actually under the table taking Polaroid pictures up the skirts of his female companions while Paul lent a hand. Ringo laughed at everything, and Paul’s then girlfriend, Jane Asher, was doing her best to drag him out of there. Paul was ducking under the table himself now, helping John illuminate the proceeding with his disposable lighter, and Jane was searching the booth for her coat as we approached them, with Graham in the lead.
-"I’ll be leaving now, Paul. I’m going home. And I don’t mean your home." She made her way toward the exit as we walked up in a pack. Jim Tucker actually grabbed her army to stop her en route. -"Hey, Miss Asher. Hi. My name is Jim Tucker and I worked with your brother.” He extended his hand, only to have her push him away. -"Piss off, wanker!" Jane just blew him off and brushed past us on her way out of the club. Jim stood there examining his hand for a long moment. -“Jane! Jane! Aw, come on, baby. We’re just having a little fun.” Jane kept walking.

Carry on Countdown - Day 30 - Crack
I didn't have time to make a few prompts I wanted to do, but this one slipped through the cracks because it was fun and quick!
Last week, my partner showed me one of her favorite childhood books and we came across a page that made us go "it's Baz!" so enjoy the result (and the inspiration)!
The book is Les amis de Marguerite by Annette Tamarkin Hatwell.
Happy holidays everyone!

Greetings, traveler!
art by @mapcrow
Welcome to the Cloud Curio, your destination for wondrous items of all kinds!
Step right up to my humble shop, and don’t mind the cloud sprites, they’re perfectly harmless. What can I get for you today, my friend? I have all manner of wonders great and small on offer.
Look here, a bestselling novel that happens to be written by a future version of you. And here we have a Scroll of Concretizing, very useful for combating ethereal beasts or abstract ideas. Where did I leave the Origami City? A sprite folded it up into a secret drawer no doubt. Or perhaps you’re seeking a greater challenge? I happen to have a sale on this Rose Garden Sphinx, quite fresh. Ha! Very good!
An explorer such as yourself must always be in the market for a dream. Everything in my store is ready-to-use in any quest you might find yourself on, though I do include special instructions with each product on how to use it should you encounter a Dungeon or a Dragon, one can’t be too careful you know.
Not to worry, my friend! I’m sure my wagon and I will find our way here again soon…
Cloud Curio is a TTRPG publishing company focusing on the whimsical, wondrous, and weird. Amber Seger and Kenny Webb began conceptualizing this project in December 2021 and what started as a small personal endeavor began to quickly evolve into something much larger.
As they planned, they realized they lacked certain sets of skills and also…starting a company with two people ain’t easy! Thankfully they were able to recruit two amazingly talented and wonderful people, Sally Tamarkin and Kyle Latino. With those additions to the team, the Cloud Curio Crew was fully formed!
So what is Cloud Curio producing? You can look forward to a Table Top Babble podcast interview of the Cloud Curio Crew and long-form biography blog posts of the Crew!
Cloud Curio releases content every other week. Much of our content will be small releases. They can be any one of the following types (as of now):
Item
Monster
NPC
Plot Hook
Spell
Weapon
All of our releases are designed to be system neutral with optional ready-to-use D&D 5e rules.
Accessibility, usability, inclusion, and diversity are also built into our overall design ethos. This means all of our art will have alt-text, we will have printer-friendly options, the graphic design is built on user-experience principles, and as we grow and fill the Cloud Curio, we will strive to be a place that brings different voices and perspectives to the TTRPG industry.
Sign up for our newsletter, the Cloud Courier, to stay current with updates and new releases!

Coordinating Heart and Cancer Care
Bob McFadden of Upper Macungie Township used to write songs about history and politics. These days, he’s writing songs about beating cancer and how St. Luke’s University Health Network doctors helped save his life. Bob, 71, was on the drug Erleada to treat prostate cancer. Because the drug also has side effects, St. Luke’s urologist Frank Tamarkin, MD, and oncologist Heidar J. Albandar, MD,…

David Tamarkin’s White Shakshuka
A classic shakshuka involves a spiced tomato–red pepper sauce; here that sauce is replaced by garlicky white beans.
Makes: 4 servings Time: About 30 minutes
Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium yellow or white onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and finely chopped
½ teaspoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 (15-ounce) can white beans, rinsed and drained
1 ¾ cups bean broth or water
Juice of ½ lemon
½ cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves and tender stems, divided
Kosher salt
4 large eggs
Warm pita bread, for serving
Hot sauce (such as Tabasco), for serving
Instructions
1. Warm a heavy, 9-inch skillet (preferably cast-iron) over medium heat and add the olive oil. When the oil is hot, add the onion and cook, stirring frequently, until soft and golden, 5 to 7 minutes. Add the garlic, jalapeño, cumin, paprika, and black pepper and continue to cook, stirring, for another 2 minutes.
2. Add the beans to the skillet, followed by the broth, lemon juice, and ¼ cup of the cilantro. Let the beans come to a simmer (turn up the heat if it seems to be taking a while), taste, and adjust the salt. If you used canned beans, you’ll need about 1½ teaspoons; homemade beans will probably need less.
3. One by one, crack each egg into a small bowl, then tip the egg from the bowl into the skillet. Sprinkle a little kosher salt over each egg and cover the skillet. Cook until the whites are firm but the yolks are still runny—this could take 5 or 10 minutes. Put down your phone! Stay present!
4. Serve the shakshuka in shallow bowls, sprinkle with the remaining ¼ cup cilantro, and offer pita and hot sauce on the side.

Clearing the Confusion: Leica 50mm Summicron Version History
by Johnny Martyr If you’ve been on the market for a Leica’s most popular lens, the 50mm Summicron, you’ve probably experienced some confusion over the different versions that have been available since its debut in 1953. With lenses from most manufacturers, different model and age lenses of the similar specifications can be identified by a simple modification of the name. Leica is a little more…
