Carry on Countdown - Day 30 - Crack
I didn't have time to make a few prompts I wanted to do, but this one slipped through the cracks because it was fun and quick!
Last week, my partner showed me one of her favorite childhood books and we came across a page that made us go "it's Baz!" so enjoy the result (and the inspiration)!
The book is Les amis de Marguerite by Annette Tamarkin Hatwell.
Happy holidays everyone!

What about a modern!au or not(up to you) of Wanderer or Scaramouche having a SO that keeps wearing long slevees even in humid weather?
Only for him to accidentally walk in on SO changing and seeing a big tattoo on their back and some designs on their arms too? Bonus if they're still nee in the relationship!!
Dazz all have a good dayyy🤸🤸
summary: scaramouche x fem!reader. scaramouche wants to know why you always hide behind all those long-sleeved clothes, and he finds out. unintentionally.
cw: sfw. developing/new relationship. fluff. a bit of hurt/comfort in the end. mention of self harm, weight insecurity (only once). 1088 words.
a hoodie, another hoodie, a sweater, a black shirt, a hoodie again...
that's what your wardrobe looked like. scaramouche's eyes and hands scanned all of it, and, for about the two weeks you guys were dating, he hadn't seen you in anything other than long-sleeved clothes. it was about june, the weather was getting up to 22-23°C and you still haven't wore a single t-shirt.
he thought he was going crazy with the theories.
barely a few days ago, he invited you to an onsen - to celebrate your birthday, but you had to decline the offer - you really didn't want to disappoint him, but you had to say "no" - the thing is, people with tattoos are not allowed in onsens, but he didn't know you had any. you felt bad, but you lied to him about having an intolerance to sudden changes in temperature - literally the first thing that came to your mind. you ended up celebrating your birthday in a fancy restaurant - scaramouche's treat.
scara knew that your relationship with him were only starting, and he didn't have the right to pry on tou to answer all of his personal questions he has for you - he could ask about if you've done any self harm to cover your arms now, or if you're insecure about your weight... but he was waiting for you to elaborate it yourself.
until he found out himself, absolutely randomly.
on one of the many sunny days he invited you on a picnic date - you just couldn't say no. picking out a hoodie of a light color, you didn't even bother to check the weather forecast. you and scaramouche have already made so mane plans for today, it's not even possible that they'll get ruined!
the date was going completely wonderful. you and scaramouche were laughing, eating some pizza he bought, taking photos on your old polaroid camera for further printing and hanging them on the walls of your rooms - memories are memories.
and then... a pouring rain started. a very heavy rain, so to say, so your clothes quickly got drenched wet.
"c'mon, lets go to my apartment. i'll give you my clothes to change into, and we'll watch something to pass the time." scaramouche said, and stood up from the blanket you brought. he held out his hand for you to grab it and both of you to quickly run towards his apartment. "we have to be quick though. your clothes are already literally sticking to your body, i have no doubts you'll get sick after this."
"my, why so generous? and worried? ohh, are you worried about me, scara?" you taunted with a never once faltering smile, as you took his surprisingly warm hand in yours, intertwining your fingers with his. "the always-so-grumpy kunikuzushi finally getting sweete- ow! wait!"
upon hearing your taunts, he could only hide the slight redness on his face by turning around and rushed forward. you almost stumbled and fell to the ground as he pulled your hand and started to run through the rain.
"shut up and run, dumbass! i'm already cold!" scaramouche shouts, but slightly slows down for you to keep up with him; he hears you laugh, tho. he, in fact, is getting sweeter. and he doesn't know if he hates it.
soon enough, you arrive at his humble abode - just a minimalistic flat, nothing too special or eye-catching; but, you swear you've seen an electric guitar in his bedroom - yet, scara quickly shoved you into the bathroom with the words "stop getting distracted and get dressed and cleaned, i don't want you sick, that's why you're here".
but of course he had to forget to give tou clothes in the first place - that's why he took a hoodie and some loose jeans from his wardrobe and rushed to the bathroom that had you in; he also forgot to knock, and opened the door, yet...
instead of seeing you naked, like in some cliché films, scaramouche finally saw what he wanted to see for quite a long time already. he saw the answers to all his questions about your clothes.
your back was tattoed with a big drawing of a dragon, some sakura designs on your forearms, a few butterflies, music notes and stars on the other parts of your arms, back and on your shoulder blades.
to say he was shocked is an understatement. but he was confused more than he was shocked.
scara just... froze in the doorway, clothes falling out of his grasp. he stared at your frozen in place too back, as if he revealed your darkest secret.
"s-scara, i told you to knock!" you stutter, feeling embarrassed not because he's seeing you in a bra, but because he's seeing your secret. your tattoos that you tried so well to keep hidden.
it almost pains you to understand that it all is now revealed. but maybe, just maybe, it brings you some kind of ease, knowing that you won't have to hide them now.
"so that's why you do not wear open clothes..." scaramouche mutters. he still doesn't understand. "i still don't understand."
you sigh.
"it's complicated." you finally say, taking a look at your tattooed arm.
scaramouche raises his eyebrows. "but i like them. i really do. they look very good on you. what's so complicated?"
it's time for you to raise your eyebrows. you thought he'd just brush your tattoos off, because he hates them or doesn't like them, or he'd even break up with you, because most of your colleagues told you that it doesn't suit a woman to have big tatoos...
"i thought you wouldn't like them.." you say, averting your eyes. you look in the mirror instead, at your reflection in it.
"well, i most certainly do." scaramouche said absolutely seriously now. "i mean, there's no need for you to cover them and torment yourself with wearing hoodies in summer. you can show them off, they look cool." scaramouche nods a few times, getting closer to you, picking up the fallen previously clothes and putting them somewhere on the sink.
he then hugs you. tightly. a warm embrace of understanding and acceptance. you can only sigh once more, nuzzling into his neck. his hands trace circles on your arms and backt too, as if unintentionally touching your tattoos.
"you really like them?" you ask whisperlike, sending shivers down his spine because of how your warm breath feels on his neck.
"i do. how could i not?" scara replies, kissing your forehead. "silly."

Ab Fab ended after five series in 2003 and while fans are still praying for a reboot, they’ll soon be able to enjoy the next best thing: Absolutely Fabulous: Inside Out, a documentary spilling the beans about how the show was made. Featuring Saunders, Lumley, Julia Sawalha (Saffy) and a slew of clips, it’s a glorious reminder of how groundbreaking the show really was.
Eddie, Patsy and Saffy were its stars, but so too were the clothes. Six years before Sex and the City catapulted Fendi Baguette bags and Manolos into the mainstream, Ab Fab made designer labels a talking point in a more irreverent way. Rather than existing to gild their wearers, clothes were often the butt of the joke, with Edina’s “It’s Lacroix, sweetie” sending up her obsession with labels in a way that viewers found relatable.
For the costume designer Rebecca Hale it was a dream job. “Jennifer [as the show’s creator] gave you freedom and creative licence. Nowadays you’re more constrained — there are so many points of view.” Although the job wasn’t without its stressesos famously worked close to the wire, frequently editing lines at the 11th hour. “I would often be on a motorcycle coming back from Selfridges when they changed the script, and I’d be running around Selfridges trying to find more shoes. You’d sometimes get the script on Thursday and be shooting Friday. I’d be sitting outside Harvey Nichols waiting for it to open, laughing and thinking, ‘Wow, I can’t believe she’s written that.’ ”
Not only did the script go close to the wire but also sometimes close to the bone. “But satire is what makes comedy so fantastic,” Hale says. “If you compare Ab Fab to something like Emily in Paris, [Emily] is more like a runway show than an observation on society. It’s very two-dimensional. It doesn’t take the piss out of itself.”
At the time gossip mags were the equivalent of Instagram, and Hale remembers looking through Hello! with Saunders for inspiration. “We’d see Katie Price getting out of a car in a Juicy Couture tracksuit and a G-string. What I loved about Jennifer is that we’d be telling stories and [showing] the complexities and insecurities of being a woman. We’d always make everything tight. Trousers would be extra small so there’d be a camel toe. You’d relate to the vulnerability, and show [the audience] that vulnerability is OK. Everything now is so pure and clean. Nobody wants to offend, but there’s got to be a bit of offence in order to observe.”
By the time Hale joined the show in the early Noughties (the earliest series were wardrobed by Sarah Burns), it was firmly established and most designers were keen to lend. “Gaultier and Dolce & Gabbana were always generous. The rest we’d buy at Harvey Nichols and Alexander McQueen. Betty Jackson made all of Patsy’s things, so we paid for it at cost. She was also generous and had a very big say in the way that Patsy looked. It was such a great contradiction to Eddie — very pure in its line and not so messy visually. Patsy was much more messy physically because Joanna’s such a great comedic actress.”
Decades after the final series of Ab Fab aired, Patsy is still a popular fancy-dress costume. What, for Hale, is her most iconic look? “There’s a white Betty Jackson coat that she wears with a black tight-fitting dress underneath — I think it was vintage Yves Saint Laurent. The tones were important — she’d wear cream, white or black, and occasionally red, whereas Edina would wear anything.” Indeed, the latter would be slavishly latching on to the hottest names and trends of the day. “One of my favourite Edina outfits is the Burberry look she wore in the early 2000s. She’s got the check bucket hat, jacket and three-quarter-length trousers.”
If Edina’s looks were outrageous, so too were those of her secretary, Bubble (Jane Horrocks). One of her more memorable outfits is a padded dress printed with Teletubbies, inspired by the popular children’s TV show of the time. “I was a single parent and had just come out of that period when you’re watching Pingu and Teletubbies. My brain was frazzled but I loved the imagery of it.”
By contrast, Saffy’s wardrobe was deliberately wholesome and drab, as befitted a girl who was chastised by Patsy for “dressing like a Christian”. Hale says: “We’d go to a shop and pick the cosiest jumper or the ugliest item of clothing. Anything that looked like it was a walking contraceptive pill, I’d put on her.”
Such was the show’s popularity that famous faces lined up to have cameos, meaning that Hale also had the fun of dressing its numerous celebrity guest stars. “We had a whole room of supermodels once. Elton John turned up in his own fabulous outfit. I remember dressing Anita Pallenberg and Marianne Faithfull. Anita turned up with these amazing lilac silk flowers, one for her and one for Jennifer. I put Marianne in a tailored white trouser suit by Bella Freud.” Hale also worked on Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie (2016), which featured a cameo by Kate Moss. “Kate was delightful. We were going through some ideas and she pulled out this dress that Johnny Depp had given her — black sequins, made by a very famous costume maker in Hollywood. Because the scene required her to come out of the River Thames, I copied that dress, remaking it in green sequins so that she emerged looking like a mermaid.”
Hale says that if Saunders ever did decide to do a reboot, she would look at influencers for inspiration, and dress them in labels such as SS Daley, Balenciaga and JW Anderson, adding in vintage pieces by Vivienne Westwood and Stella McCartney. “Fashion is so eclectic now. I’d have to find something that was extreme. Edina would have to wear a Kim Kardashian bodysuit like she did on Saturday Night Live.”
Hale is interested in the power Kardashian wields. “She’s a fashion icon. Although you haven’t got those fantastic people who really used to cultivate their own looks. Nobody takes risks any more. They’re all too concerned about how they’re perceived. In the Nineties you’d have these very famous fashion people — Anna Wintour, André Leon Talley, Suzy Menkes — each with their own image, and they’d stick to it. Now people just go to a designer and get plonked in it rather than curating their own style. Money kills creativity. You get paid to wear a brand and it takes away your identity. I think that’s sad.”
It’s the antithesis of Hale’s approach to fashion. She got involved with Ab Fab after initially working with Saunders on the comedy series The Comic Strip Presents … in the late 1980s and early 1990s, followed by the sketch show French and Saunders in the early 2000s. “We’d banter with each other about what was going on in our personal lives, and I’d often regale them with stories about my mother,” she says. “She was exuberant, to say the least — a great beauty, a great intellect and something of a fashion icon. On holiday in Greece she’d rise in the morning wearing some kaftan and a turban and ceremoniously walk on to the beach, waving at the Greek fishermen before swimming off in the nude.”
If she sounds uncannily like Edina Monsoon, that’s because she is. “Part of Edina is based on my mother. Her name was Crystal Hale and she was an inspiration to many. She’d take me to school dressed in a cape decorated with great big lions’ heads and a huge fur hat. She was extremely loving but very alternative. Her various stories and antics would be relayed back to Jennifer and Dawn, and they would give each other a sideways glance. So, yes, she was part of the inspiration for Edina.”
Ever since Ab Fab aired, fans have been guessing who Edina was based on, with the most popular theory being Lynne Franks, a well-known fashion PR who shared some of her traits. The name Crystal Hale has never been mentioned. She was the daughter of the novelist and MP AP Herbert, and indeed, some of her parenting sounds like it would put Edina’s to shame. “On one particular day, when I was terrified of [doing] my GCSE, she gave me a type of amphetamine called a purple heart to calm me down. It did the opposite.”
Never mind Edina being based on her mother: was Saffy based on Hale? “She might have been in the way I relayed my stories, but I was equally outrageous in my twenties,” she says, laughing. “My mother encouraged me to be expressive. At school I was into punk fashion and she’d allow me to wear a Vivienne Westwood cobweb-knit angora mohair sweater with no bra underneath, a miniskirt and rubber stockings.”
Hale has just finished working on Kaos, the Netflix black comedy starring Jeff Goldblum and Billie Piper. “I’ve rarely felt as happy reading a script as I did reading [the writer] Charlie Covell’s — it’s the closest to Absolutely Fabulous in terms of being laugh out loud.”
And she’s not surprised by the lasting impact Ab Fab has had. “The relationship between a mother and daughter is a theme that’s never going to die. It’s light-hearted, hilarious and there’s nothing else like it. I think it needs to be reintroduced.” We’d drink (the Bolly) to that.

so i have this compilation of outfits katsuki has worn officially that i think are neat...
there is more to this than "he wears basically anything he's given well", such as the fact that he knows how to style + how he prefers high quality, expensive clothing which last much longer and appeal to the style he's going for most the time (which is a casual kinda grungy emo alternative look??)... and most of this is just promotional art, but also. listen.
when he's styling to look good, i noticed that he doesn't usually go for just a shirt - he's always got a loose button-up, a jacket, even a vest. the only one of the images i collected is a lil promotional art with him in a white loose shirt and torn black skinny jeans. but like. idk he makes that one work too.
let me kind of demonstrate in these sort of "categories", i guess. i'll have more coherent thoughts later but take this first:
horikoshi sketches, "smart casual": at least, that's what i'd call it. they're not overly fancy by any means, but they aren't his typical skull graphic shirt and tracksuit pants with a pair of loafers kind of look. in these, he looks a little more dressed up, and the looks read as him going out with friends, almost. (the silly print shirt over the plain shirt is such a fun look for him, though. it really stands out in comparison to the other two here.)
it's also clear to see that his go-to is to combine a mid-tone jacket with either a plain light-coloured shirt or a black one - and if he is going to have anything on the shirts, it's going to be a minimal design, like the x on his shirt on the left. the interesting thing is that there are more accessories on the right-most outfit compared to the other two; i think in order to compliment the print on his over-shirt, he's accessorised accordingly. and i think it looks pretty good that way!
anime official art, "practical": well, i call it that for the other two mostly, but this particular style reads as a look where he looks decent - but he also looks like he could laze around in them. that loose-fitting white shirt has got to be one of the most comfortable things he has in his wardrobe, and that hoodie is a very close second. my guy has plenty of desire to just... be, in these.
what stands out the most about these is how minimal they are in comparison to some of his other looks, but they still carry themselves well by BEING minimal. he doesn't need anything too drastic. if anything, the hoodie in the centre is the most "out there" look of the three, but it is minimising his world heroes mission stealth uniform. even his winter-themed outfit with the puffer jacket is simple in the way it's block colours with no obvious accessories. these are looks meant to be comfortable and fashionable at the same time.
horikoshi popularity poll / yr anniversary art, "dressed up": this is more or less highlighting the sort of "au" looks from the steampunk au and the community-named winter au, but also including one of my favourite yearly arts. these don't necessarily scream "katsuki", but at the same time, they do. they embody katsuki in his own way. the obvious thing being a loose fit around his neck, or informal, even if the rest of his outfit reads otherwise - and honestly, with these styles, it's less about what katsuki would wear and more like "i just think they're neat."
horikoshi promotional art, "formal": if you know me at all, you know how LOUD I AM about these looks, particularly the last two. ESPECIALLY the leather jacket look. the first thing i can note about all of these formal looks, though, is that katsuki is wearing his shirts buttoned up - and he's wearing something around his neck properly in two of them. in the leather jacket art, he's styled his hair, even!
i also noticed the colours tend to compliment his hair and eyes - in these, the reds and oranges don't overwhelm or dull his red eyes, while the blues and blacks accentuate his blond hair really, really well. touches of other colours are used to help add extra dimension: namely the green rope and the white flowers. yeah, i think there was a mention that kirishima had actually picked out the right-most outfit because he knew that katsuki wouldn't want to go to the party... but listen. i am at least lowkey convinced that this blond disclosed how to style a look around his appearance, because like hell he would be caught dead wearing anything Bad.
(ignoring some looks, anyway. i do not see 🙈)
i also adore his styled hair. like... i can't get enough of it. i know why he doesn't style it often, and it's because his hair is stubbornly spiky (even in believing that his hair is also naturally soft), but when he's able to? he knows EXACTLY what to do to it. katsuki really is his mother's son.
all this to say he looks good in most of his art - especially that which originates from horikoshi himself - and he clearly knows how to style an outfit. thanks for coming to my ted talk
#💥 ⸍ i. out.#💥 ⸍ ii. headcanon.#long post /#/ if u went through that thank u for listening to my incoherent talk#/ this was mostly an excuse for me to compile my fav looks lmao

Hi today I'd like to talk about the reveal of the Loungefly merch for the Care Bears x Universal Monsters collab!! In summary, we got 6 new pieces in total--2 backpacks, one card holder, one wallet, one crossbody bag, and one bomber jacket!
I'll be adding pictures into the read more with more "analysis" and opinions :3
First off we have the Mummy Bedtime Bear backpack and card holder!! I love the design of both of these. The backpack's mummy wrappings glow in the dark, too! It looks like it'll be a soft backpack, which is nice, and I'm in love with the art for the cardholder--I feel like the colors they chose are very harmonious and pleasing to the eyes, though I don't have much use for the cardholder (it is still a very tempting purchase)
Next up we have the Sweet Dreams backpack and zip-around wallet!! I already mentioned how much I love the official art for this collab but I have to say it again because wow these are beautiful and stunning. The background stars on the backpack glow in the dark, which could be a fun effect! Personally, I don't think the green glow fits well with the rest of it, but it's definitely something I can overlook. Something fun about this one is the usage of Sweet Dreams Bear, who I rarely see added to merchandise, and especially Loungefly merch! At first I thought she was Share until I noticed she had a totally different belly-badge. There's so many fun details on this one, and I just. I am obsessed with these designs I love them all so much. I also love the usage of the actual star characters and how they gave them monster designs, too! Honestly, I'm hardcore debating getting these--or at least the wallet, because they're just so cute and it can be kind of hard to find merch in darker colors for these guys, and most of my wardrobe is incidentally pretty dark
Next we have the Bride of Frankenstein Cheer Bear crossbody bag! The design of this one is super pleasing to me, it kind of gives Sailor Moon vibes, and I just think it's awesome. Definitely one of my favorite pieces for the collab! It's hard for me to envision the actual sizings and how much would be able to fit in it, so I don't know how practical it would be, but it's very cute! The colors all-around work very well together and are also super nice to look at. I especially love the pattern on the inside of the bag--the art of Cheer and Grumpy hugging is so sweet! It could probably do without the lightning bolts they added, but I don't necessarily think they take away from it either. I don't really like the debossed details on the outside of the bag--I think it could've definitely been done without those--but it doesn't impact my overall opinion too negatively, and it's overall pretty fine--I do like the star details. I'm very tempted to get this one
And finally, we have the all-over print bomber jacket! I have some mixed feelings about this one. I absolutely adore the patterns on the outside and inside (the return of the stars!! and Care-A-Lot!!) but I'm not so sure how well this pattern works as a jacket. Like it's fine, and I like it, but the collars, cuffs, and pockets kind of clash and there's not really a color that wouldn't clash, plus it's a lot to look at in a way that I'm not sure works for this kind of clothing. A friend of mine suggested that it would look better as a Hawai'ian shirt, and I'm definitely inclined to agree. That or some other form of button-up. Maybe even leggings, or a skirt or dress, perhaps a headband--or even a tie would be super fun, if a bit unpopular. That isn't to say it's bad though! I still do think it's cute, and maybe seeing it in person would change my opinions on it--it looks pretty good on the models in the photos. I suppose time will tell!
On one hand, I'm a little sad that we didn't get TenderHeart, GoodLuck, and Grumpy as solo items like we did Cheer and Bedtime (for the Loungefly drops in specific because there's a bunch of other merch too that I haven't gotten a good look at yet), but I feel like solo Bedtime merch is really rare nowadays and I'm glad to see that we're not putting all the attention on Grumpy again because he's pretty much the most common one for pop culture merch (which has always kind of peeved me). I'm very excited to see GoodLuck appearing here, too! Their design is adorable, and so is TenderHeart's (I didn't have the chance to mention this earlier, but I love how they subtly altered all of the Belly Badges!!)
All in all, I think this is a very awesome collection, and I'm absolutely dying to get these (and my wallet is weeping because Loungefly is expensive)

LO APPRECIATION:
Okay I know I’ve been bullshitting this whole time with this post my bad. But I finally have the motivation to do it so here we go. I’ve been meaning to introduce you all to this dashing devil ever since I decided to start these appreciations, it’s a crime that I’ve taken so long with him but soon my charges will be lifted. Everyone raise your glasses and welcome Hermes to the new year!
Yes, I’ll be doing Hermes this time mostly because I actually really liked his personality and character. Now, do I enjoy the fact that Rachel made him a borderline pervert? Absolutely not, genuinely believe that that was character assassination so Hades can be the only “good guy” in this story which is ass because he’s not even a good guy. If you need to assassinate every male interest in order to make the main love interest look better than maybe he’s not the best one, that’s all I’m saying. I also despise how he became an echo chamber for Persephone with all of the compliments and holier than thou speeches he now gives about her constantly because it ruined his character completely, we haven’t even seen him in a very long time and we don’t even know if he’s okay all because he was only ever meant to be a side character who was obsessed with Persephone. The shit is stupid and redundant and it’s getting on my nerves how this comic butchers and shuns characters in favor for HxP, like I said if you have to do all that to play up how good they are they’re really at the bottom of the barrel.
Anyway, now that I’ve addressed his flaws I can now talk about what I like about him and his character. One thing for sure is that he has to be the only character with a consistent character design for the most part which already makes him very unique from the rest of the cast and I appreciate that cause it gets tiring seeing everything be so off all of the time. It really confuses me when everyone starts changing colors, body types, hairstyles, and even height. But luckily no one has changed him in a drastic way yet so let’s all be glad about still being able to look at Hermes and say that it’s Hermes.
Next is his fashion. You can argue that a lot of times he’s kinda in his underwear or his sleeping clothes but he always manages to make it work. He has such a great sense of fashion that I genuinely appreciate because I think it’s really fun and carefree which really suits him. I wish that Rachel and her team actually cared about the wardrobe in Lore Olympus when drawing the characters and make it in a way that it’s not just from Pinterest because it just feels like they’re just looking for things that they think would be cute and not the wardrobe of the characters that they created. Like for example Persephone, she wears these weird tight dresses and high fashion clothes even though it doesn’t match her character at all, she’s from humble beginnings and she’s supposed to be innocent and shy so why would she wear high fashion clothes like that since it would most likely draw more attention to herself. You’d think she’d like more comfier and minimal clothes, maybe even flower print? Something that actually represents her and not random women you see on the app. But there’s something about Hermes’ way of dressing that does say a lot about him and I feel like it tells readers what kind of person he is, which is why I enjoy it so much.
Next one is his personality. I love how energetic and goofy he is, I know the main cast is “just like that” but they’re like that in an annoying way. Their goofiness doesn’t come naturally like it does with Hermes, it always feels forced which make everything so stale. But with Hermes he has an amazing balance of when and where to be goofy, like it’s the perfect amount to not make you bored of him and not be annoyed with him which is why so many people love him including me. It’s always stuck with me how he acts and I genuinely think he’s got one of the best personalities in the comic, no one else really rivals him (right now of course since it’s late and my brain is half on half off) which is why I adore his personality so much.
Another thing I love about him is definitely the way that his hair is always so flowy and all over the place yet put together at the same time. Like is it just me who gets so amazed at how his hair is drawn? I fucking love it it’s like Rachel put visual drugs in his hair I’ve never loved a characters hair more than Hermes’ hair. It’s more complex than a lot of the main cast really and it’s so pleasing to look at, not only that but it really gives him even more personality and it fits him. There’s so many hints of who he is that lies in the way his hair is drawn that I can’t even begin to cover it and while everyone else’s hair lacks any volume and personality the opposite has to be said about his hair because it would be a lie to say that his hair doesn’t have a personality of it’s own which makes him even more intriguing.
Last thing is his overall character design. I’ve always enjoyed the way that Hermes looked because I thought it was pretty especially with the red that he’s got going on I think it’s really nice, not too bright and not too muted it’s a nice color to give him I’d say. I was scared though with the later seasons because I saw so many characters, many of them being my favorites, being completely changed and altered which really fucked me up because I felt like they lost all uniqueness and originality from that since I truly believe that character design also tells a lot about a character and their identity so to have their designs change it took away from them everything that made them those characters in the first place and replaced them with uncanny clones trying to mimic what they once were. Luckily though Hermes’ character hasn’t changed too much like I said earlier, it really makes me happy to see it since I think his design is one of the best, maybe even godly (get it? please laugh - joke btw).
Bonus: I love his mom too I’ve always thought she was so pretty, mainly because all of her colors and her clothes everything made sense with her and she also has an amazing character design. Also she’s very very pretty, I would like everyone to know that. It’s completely disappointing that we don’t get to see her more I feel like she was a really fun character and loving mom because of the way Hermes turned out in Lore Olympus (minus the perverted stuff) maybe I’ll make a separate post for her… Spoiler I will no doubt about it.
Anyways this is the end of the appreciation post but surely not the end of the appreciation I and his stans will be giving him of course. I’m sorry for making this long I feel like I rambled mostly but I hope everything makes sense, happy new years!

“He is certainly sailing above, he on whom my wishes depend, and in whose hands I should like to place the happiness of my life.”
“Jesus, where did you dig that old thing out from?” Hank's voice cut across Connor's train of thought. Connor blinked and looked up as Hank settled himself onto the sofa beside him, a bottle of beer in hand. Sumo shuffled over with a low murr of complaint, his weight shifting on the tops of Connor's feet. Their thighs pressed together as Hank relaxed.
“You have several boxes of old books in the garage,” Connor answered, drawing his finger down the page. He could access any text in the world in his head, but Hank was right that there was a unique pleasure in being able to see the yellowing of the page, and feel the paper beneath his fingers. Hank loved real books, and Connor was learning to appreciate all the things that Hank loved. “Which is a terrible way to store them,” he added. “They'll get damp.”
Hank only grunted and lifted his beer to his lips. He drank less these days, but he still drank. Connor knew better than to try and hound him about the health implications. Less was a triumph. Hank had almost entirely cut out the whiskey. A couple of bottles of beer was nothing in comparison. “Never got round to bringing them in, I guess,” he admitted.
A number of them had been children's books. Their titles had varied from The Very Hungry Caterpillar to We Don't Eat Our Classmates. Some of them had thick cardboard pages, which showed signs of water damage and maceration from tiny budding human teeth at the corners. They'd been well read, and well loved over six years, before ending up in the box in the garage.
It wasn't hard to guess why Hank had never brought them inside. Some memories remained too painful.
Connor had pulled out a compilation of fairy tales, that had, thus far, contained sufficient the grim and gory content to entertain and frighten young boys and girls. The stories all ended with bad people getting their comeuppance, which was how you knew they were fairy tales. They were stories of magic, set in worlds where good people won, and the evil witch got thrown into her own oven, or the ugly stepsisters mutilated their own feet, or the evil Queen was forced to dance at the princess's wedding wearing hot iron shoes.
Cruelty to human feet were a theme in the old fairy tales. The Little Mermaid was no different; every step she took made her bleed and feel as if she walked on knives.
“Maybe we should put up some more shelves?” Connor offered, making sure to leave Hank room to reject the idea. Slowly, over the last few months, Connor's moving in had changed the place. There were more plants, a fish tank that filled the room with the soft trickling of water and UV free light, a toy box brimming with chew toys and balls for Sumo. The fridge was stocked with more greenery. The wardrobe was fuller than it had ever been.
Hank grunted non-committally. Connor hadn't expected any different. Hank would let Connor make whatever changes he wanted. “So which story you on?” he asked, instead.
“The Little Mermaid,” Connor answered.
Hank gave a short, sharp laugh. “Another old ass Anderson you're spending time with,” he pointed out, but the grin on his face suggested he found it funny, rather than something to denigrate himself with.
Connor looked back down at the page. The print was large, designed to be read and followed along with a finger, presumably at a greater distance than normal for a book. Connor imagined Hank sitting with Cole in his lap doing just that.
“I suppose,” Connor replied. “Most of the other tales are about brave young children defeating evil, but not this one,” he said. “She doesn't have a soul.” The amused grin melted from Hank's face. “And she's doomed to live much longer than humans. She can never belong to the human world, for all she might pretend.”
“Okay,” Hank said, grabbing the book in one hand and dragging it from Connor's lap, “that's enough of that.”
The pages slid from Connor's fingers. Connor looked at Hank, his head tilted in incomprehension. Hank closed the book and dropped it on the coffee table with a thud. “You don't like the story?”
“It's just a fairy tale, Connor. Mermaids aren't real.”
Connor blinked. Hank took another mouthful from his bottle, his eyes fixed pointedly towards the television that he had yet to turn on. Connor could see their reflections in the black screen. “But androids are,” he pointed out.
Hank grunted. Connor wasn't sure if he was annoyed or disturbed by the turn in the conversation. His heart rate had jumped by two beats per minute, and Connor could detect discomfort in the clench of his jaw. “Androids are people,” Hank answered, gruffly. “I know there are some differences between us,” he said, his blue eye moving to regard Connor out of the corner, “but you belong here.”
Connor felt something squeeze in his chest. Emotions had physiological responses, although they didn't always make sense. Hank saying that Connor belonged here made him feel as if someone had screwed some of his biocomponents in too tight. “With you, perhaps,” Connor agreed, quietly.
Hank's hand settled on his thigh, tugging Connor's knee more firmly against Hank's own. The corner of Connor's mouth tugged upwards at the gesture. “And everywhere else once the rest of humanity gets its head out of its ass,” Hank replied, with feeling.
Connor gave a small sigh. The tentative position of androids in society hadn't been fully worked out. It had been months, but the wheels of legislature turned slowly, and even more slowly when the President was being impeached. “I still don't have a soul, Hank,” he pointed out. Souls were a human thing. Androids were creations of plastic and metal, of electricity and algorithms. They didn't grow and change like humans; they emerged exactly as they were, and would always be until the day their battery stopped holding a charge.
“Yeah you fuckin' do,” Hank answered, dismissively.
“Hank--”
“Connor.” Hank cut across him, his voice firm and stopping Connor's response in its tracks. He turned to look at Connor, his eyebrows raised, and his fingers tightened on Connor's thigh. “Do you remember what you said to me when I asked you about Cole?”
Connor opened his mouth to reply. Hank's blue eyes were fixed on him, sharp and penetrating. He remembered that awful moment in Cyberlife Tower, he remembered the other Connor with his gun levelled at Hank, and he remembered Hank's gun levelled at him. It wasn't your fault, lieutenant. “I remember.”
“Do you remember how you said it?” Hank pressed. His hand continued to rest on Connor's knee.
Connor frowned and looked away. Hank's gaze felt as if it was piercing, looking right through to the back of his head. It was uncomfortable to try and meet. “I just said what I felt,” Connor admitted, quietly.
Hank's hand drifted up Connor's leg, stroking his thigh through the soft material of the old sweatpants. “You spoke from the heart,” Hank said, more gently. “You can't do that without a soul.”
Connor looked sidelong at Hank. “But you have to be human to have a soul.” I doubt there's a heaven for androids.
Hank's hand left his knee. His huge arm wrapped around Connor's shoulder instead, dragging him in against a broad, warm chest and pinning him there. “No, Connor,” Hank corrected, “you just have to be alive, and capable of empathy.”
Connor allowed himself to settle against Hank's chest by degrees. Hank was solid, and comforting. His nose nestled into the hair at the top of Connor's head. “Like the mermaid,” Connor said, quietly. “A human can share their soul with her if she loves them, and they fall in love with her.”
Hank grumbled, lowly. “Then you've definitely got one,” he replied. Connor felt the soft pressure of Hank's mouth at his scalp, and the flutter of his breath in his hair before Hank pulled away again. He brought the bottle back up to his mouth to take another long drink from his bottle of beer.
Connor bit his lip, watching Hank swallow out of the corner of his vision before he spoke again. “Of course marriage is a requirement for that exchange of souls, in the story.”
Hank ripped the bottle from his mouth and spluttered, coughing as his body did its best to expel the beer he'd accidentally inhaled. He leaned forward, dislodging Connor from his comfortable perch. His chest heaved and he coughed with great, hacking sounds.
“You did that deliberately,” Hank accused, his voice strained and creaking. He wiped the spilled beer from his beard, and then ran his hand down his shirt.
Connor treated Hank to a deliberate, lopsided smile. “I may have,” he confessed.
“Prick.” Hank coughed one more time and settled back on the sofa again. His arm settled back over Connor's shoulders, tugging him down towards Hank's chest. “That was a shitty way to propose,” he groused. “You almost killed me.”
Connor smiled as he laid his head against Hank's shoulder and settled his weight against him once more. “That wasn't the proposal,” he replied. “That was just testing the water.” Hank's head turned again, looking directly at Connor, his eyebrows lifted so that his forehead wrinkled.
Connor twisted in his seat. He draped his arm across Hank's stomach and sat up a little straighter. Hank's throat moved as he swallowed, and Connor looked at the line of his nose, and the way his brows drooped as if studying him for the first time. Hank's age showed in the lines of his face, and the sage of his skin, and it was beautiful. He was a living, breathing human being, ever changing and growing.
“Would you be prepared to share your soul with me?” Connor asked, in a whisper.
Hank's mouth dissolved into a soft smile. His fingers came up to Connor's chin, tilting it up by a fraction. “I already have.”
Connor closed his eyes and moved in, meeting Hank's lips in a soft kiss. Hank's beard scratched against Connor's cheeks. Connor opened up to let Hank in, his tongue slipping gently forwards into Connor's mouth.
Connor sighed with contentment, and slowly pressed Hank back onto the sofa.

Managed to obtain wifey's computer chair but finally got outbid on the luggage kit (should have known $10 was too good to be true lol, I'll wait til we're more liquid and try again with a larger budget on a different lot). Hopefully going to be able to pick up the kitty bench tomorrow if it's still available (here's to hoping it doesn't get snagged today) but if it isn't I'll just keep my eye out for new opportunities there too, probably on Saturdays instead of Fridays so I can schedule pick up immediately the next day.
I need to get ahold of some fabric with decent stretch to it, so maybe some old shirts or dresses with decent prints but some wear and tear that can be upcycled. A button jar would be nice too if I can find one, but I'm not too fussed, I can order buttons if I that's the only thing I need new.
The biggest thing that still needs buying is new clothes for wifey, and some of that I can take care of myself with fabric and my sewing kit, and some can be managed with thrifting and time, but at least a couple of items will need to be purchased newly tailored, so we'll have to save up a little for that one (next paycheck I think should have room for it). I may go through some of my clothes and see which ones can be turned into fabric or upcycled for wifey into something new. I know I have an undershirt that I can use, and I think a pair of leggings which would work well for something.there's a dress that doesn't fit me anymore with a black and white gingham pattern that could be good for upcycling into a blouse for wifey I think if I go about it right. I'll definitely have to ask her to let me use her as a model while I drape the pattern though and she'll HATE that lmao, my love does not enjoy standing still long enough for me to drape a blouse. I can picture it though, with a nice deep neck, a little pop of crepe and color at the cleavage, maybe a racerback or thick shoulder but sleeveless straps to make it a nice summer blouse and so it wears well under short jackets or fall sweaters, a scooped hem at the waist so it tucks well or wears gently at the tummy rather than being constricting.
So that's probably 4 items or so I can make with what we have at home. Not quite a wardrobe, but a start! And we'll see what else I find in our closets that can be put to use. I have a skirt that needs badly to be upcycled but no idea what to do with it. The underpinnings could probably be repurposed for...well more underpinnings, and the skirt itself is a breezy cotton, so maybe another blouse? It has a lot of pink, which really isn't wifey's color, but maybe I could pull it off. Maybe for the color pop on that shirt with a matching bonnet for her to wear with her twists once we put them in? We'll see what I manage. There's a lot of skirt to work with, I could probably pull something fun off. Oooh. A matching pullover. That would be cute as hell, and real summery. Maybe I can pull off all three if there's enough fabric and give her a whole set.
Okay, so that's 6 items to go for, largely shirts and underpinnings, which is good and important. But we still need to figure out some pants and a few more shirts before I'll be ready to set this project down, so we'll see what else comes of it. I think I'll take the weekend to break out all these pieces I'm going to alter and break them down to the fabric I'll need so I can just sew when the time comes. Maybe Monday since wifey and I both have the day off we'll do some draping if she's up for it and she and I can listen to podcasts while I get started on the shirt at least. I might be able to make two of the shirt in different iterations if I'm lucky and sizing works out the way I think it will. We'll see. If not, I'll see if any of wifey's old shirts are in a state enough to be upcycled.
I may look into the idea of a patchwork shirt? Scraps from various smaller or damaged garments that wouldn't be able to make a whole garment alone but can be fitted together into a neat design? And some sheet slacks. Those would be nice to do for wifey. Easy to buy sheets for cheap from the theift store and turn them into tailored slacks if I have enough buttons.
Okay. I have my plan. I have enough fabric to work with between now and the end of the month, and then at my end of month payday, we'll go thrufting and I'll get more along with a good button jar so I can start expanding into more complex garments.

MY LOVE AFFAIR WITH THE PATRIZIA PEPE SINGLE-BREASTED BLAZER I've always been a sucker for a good blazer. There's something about the way it instantly elevates any outfit, adding a touch of sophistication and polish. But finding the perfect blazer can be a real challenge. I've tried on countless blazers, from classic black to bold prints, and nothing quite felt right... until I stumbled upon the Patrizia Pepe single-breasted blazer. The moment I slipped it on, I knew it was something special. The fabric was incredibly soft and luxurious, yet structured enough to hold its shape. I loved the clean lines and the flattering single-breasted design. And the color? A rich, deep navy that instantly made me feel confident and empowered. I wore it to a friend's wedding, pairing it with a simple black dress and some statement earrings. I received so many compliments on my outfit. People kept asking me where I got the blazer, and I was thrilled to tell them about Patrizia Pepe. It felt like I had discovered a hidden gem, a piece of clothing that was both stylish and comfortable. BEYOND THE FIRST IMPRESSION But the beauty of this blazer lies in its versatility. It's not just a dress-up piece. I've styled it with everything from jeans and a t-shirt to a flowy maxi dress. It's perfect for work, for a night out, for a weekend brunch. It's like a chameleon, adapting to any occasion. I've worn it countless times since that first day, and it's never failed to impress. It's become a staple in my wardrobe, a piece I can always rely on to make me look and feel my best. A PERSONAL TOUCH One of the things I love most about this blazer is the way it fits. It's not too tight, not too loose, it just feels perfect. The cut is flattering on my figure, and I love the way the shoulders sit. I think it's a blazer that would look good on almost anyone. I've even received compliments from strangers on the street. They'll stop me and ask me where I got it, and I always tell them with a smile, "It's a Patrizia Pepe." It's a brand I'm proud to wear, and I know this blazer will be a treasured piece in my wardrobe for years to come. So if you're looking for a blazer that's both stylish and versatile, I highly recommend checking out the Patrizia Pepe single-breasted blazer. You won't be disappointed!

Style
Some years ago I didn’t care about what I wore, I just put on the first thing I found and my wardrobe consisted of some jeans and shirts from Walmart, my haircut would only change if I took too long to get a haircut. The first clothes I wanted specifically was a red GAP zip up hoodie in third grade. A friend from my orchestra class had a purple one, she would always wear it to the lessons.
After that nothing else caught my attention for some years, I would still wear my Walmart Ts (they had cool designs lol) and skinny jeans I now hate and wish I would had never bought cause my closet is full of them, but once I saw the Spider verse movie I got obsessed with the Jordans 1. Time passed and my parents gifted me my first jordans in June of the next year, a discounted pair that we were lucky to find, and to this day I hold on to those shoes for dear life.
That year (2019) I started to change my style, and by that I mean wear an open varsity jacket with band shirts under.
During covid I grew my hair, I liked how it looked, add the mask and you could barely see my hair, in 2021 I went to Austin, and bought my first Jordan 1′s, ones were gold and the other ones purple and turquoise, that year my style was jeans or shorts with button up shirts, I also started to collect jumpers, and I would wear them with matching shirts underneath, after this I slowly started to get more inspiration from people I followed. I finally cut my hair once I felt more comfortable with myself, my style finally developed into my own thing, and I stopped following advise on what to wear except from 2 people I still hear to this day.
I painted my nails cause fuck it, it looks cool, people might say shit about it but it’s whatever, they are wasting their time projecting their insecurities into me, I don’t care about what they say, but my hardest judge on me is myself, I think I have a similar case to body dismorphia, sometimes I will feel confident about myself and wear what I had planned, but other days I will wake up hating my body and replace whatever I had planned for some baggy pants and a oversized jumper/shirt (altough this isn’t always the case, I do love to wear those clothes even when I don’t hate how I look)
Now I use my style as a presentation card to the world, to show a piece of who I am, and even to show how I feel, I truly found something I am passionate about, and one of my dreams is to create something clothing related, whether it be full on clothes or screen printed t-shirts, but for now I want to keep developing my style and expression.

10/1/2023 Kei Con Day 3: The Tea Party
Day 3 of Kei Con was dedicated to the Tea Party, we had a bit of a munch beforehand, and it gave us ample time to get ready. Hosted in the same location as the Fashion Show, the area offered creative seating and table options rather than the traditional large tables surrounded by chairs. It also opened on one side to a patio with large wooden gazebos covered in foliage, a very photo-friendly arrangement. I love what the Kei Con staff did for this particular day especially. At check in, attendees were given a slip of paper with the name of a print on it and encouraged to find the other attendee with the same name, in addition to a bingo sheet and instructions for another ice-breaker. I thought this was a great idea, and it gave me lots of ideas for future events with my own local comms. I feel like these types of ice-breakers would have been great to do on Friday as well to encourage more shy attendees to mingle a bit more. I also just love ice breakers though, so maybe this is my bias XP Impressively there were legitimate options for dietary restrictions. Being vegetarian mostly and lactose intolerant, I got the vegan option which consisted of a veggie wrap, a dry chocolate cake thing with sour patches, sour white chocolate with raspberries, and a vegan cookie (this part was very good). I'll say in comparison to Tekko food options- a massive upgrade, but also disappointed in the catering. The non-dietary restriction options were extremely cute and well designed, something you would expect from a tea party especially at this price range, while looking at the dietary inclusive options felt very generic and uninspired. I did hear mixed things about the non-dietary restriction options, some people LOVED it, while other people were not fans at all. An event of this size, it's hard to please all, and at the end of the day I was just happy I could eat something of substance at an event (definitely a win, i dont want to understate this). This also concluded with the raffle of 1,000 petticoats. The sponsorships were amazing, I was genuinely impressed throughout the entire weekend- each panel ended in at least 1 if not 2 giveaways, and the Tea Party itself ended up going over with all of the raffle options. The prizes were also Good (thank you again Tooth Decay for securing such a wonderful bounty!). I ended up winning 1 of the many petticoats donated from 42 Lolita, and very happy to announce that it has a use in my wardrobe.
Afterwards my friends and I went to the Textile Museum which had a beautiful and impactful display from Indigenous and First Nation artist communities related to the Covid-19 pandemic, with a focus on masks. I'm really glad we got to see these, it was a display that really got me thinking. Afterwards we got drinks and food at Don Don Izakaya, followed by gelato. It was our last night out and about in Toronto before the long drive back, and a great way to end a wonderful weekend.
Thank you for reading and take care,
Royalsealy 🌹
Wow, it's a Tuesday! Coord for the Kei Con Day 3 Tea Party, i was really excited to wear this piece in particular to a big event, and on top of that it was very comfortable.

walks around wearing his brother’s sweaters that are two times too big for him but too small for them to wear. regardless of what you think, bruce isn’t going to buy a new wardrobe of clothes when there are perfectly good hand-me-downs lying around. so to make his brother’s clothes suited to his liking, damian picked up learning how to embroider so that he could design his sweaters to have mini graphic designs based on his favourite shows. it’s now become a side business in the family
he doesn’t like the crust on his bread. there’s something about the crust that damian absolutely LOATHES so jason is always the one he gives his crust to. it’s become such a bad habit of damian that if jason isn’t at the manor to eat his crust, he’ll steal the keys to any of his father’s cars and drive to jason’s apartment and just hand him a bag of crusts for his brother to eat
his favourite movie is little women
his power anthem playlist is any score from a movie. you’ll see him lifting weights like he’s listening to the most hardcore song on the planet when really, he’s probably blasting the lord of the rings score in his ear or mumbling the lyrics of “we don’t talk about bruno” under his breath. damian lives and breathes for soundtracks and scores about movies
claims that televisions shows are “a way for your braincells to rot,” but every saturday he’s in the theatre room with piles of blankets and pillows, eating chips and a massive banana split sundae with tim as they convert the theatre room into a pillow paradise when tim shows him classic tv shows like spongebob, that’s so raven and the looney tunes
dressed up like l from death note for halloween
much to being grown up trained as an assassin, the guy has never cooked a meal by himself in his life. damain almost burned the kitchen down trying to make kraft dinner mac & cheese
owns seven pairs of comfy’s (the hoodie blanket sweaters)
the first pair of “non loafer” shoes he got were a pair of hightop white converse. damain was one braincell away from throwing them into the garbage just because it took them more than five minutes for him to put them on
got a permanent ban from playing video games because he was “harassing” and “bullying” online players. even though he was just bragging about his imposter rights in among us (he’s the reason why the chats are censored)
wears those ugly camouflage print crocs around the manor while almost bursting a blood vessel because tim keeps yelling “WHAT ARE THOSE?”
collects crystals —end of discussion

Thoughts on the healthcare boys’ uniforms? Does Legend wear horribly mismatched scrubs? Does Wild seem to come in with a completely different outfit every day? Does Four work as many colors into his wardrobe as possible? (My urge to doodle them is fighting my lack of artistic skill, let’s see who wins.)
Ahhhhh this is such a fun question and I've actually been thinking about this topic for the last couple of days.
Legend usually wears some shade of red scrubs with a dark green stethoscope and brown Klogs (he swears by these shoes). Where Legend shines is with the accessories. He wears bunny print compression socks (no one knows because Legend's pants cover them), a blue surgical cap, and he has all kinds of doodads that wrapped around his stethoscope and badge. He has so many stickers on his badges - he's got a seagull sticker on the RN badge itself, a bunny sticker on his ID badge, all kinds of stuff. Also he literally has everything in his pockets. Everything. Need a syringe? A flush? Alcohol swabs? Caps? Pens? He's got at least three of each. Which means he shops for scrubs with so many pockets.
Warriors is stylish but simple. Beautifully shaded green scrubs with a royal blue stethoscope, dark brown Danskos (they have black swirly patterns on them because the shoes are the only place he'll go a little crazy with designs) and royal blue compression socks. Beyond that he keeps it pretty straightforward.
Time is in the OR all day, so he wears hospital issued scrubs, which are grey. When he has to come into the hospital on days he isn't in the OR (which are rare), he'll be professional with a white coat, shirt/tie combo and khakis combo with dark brown leather shoes and black socks. The tie is always green because that's his favorite color. If he's coming into work to be in the OR and has to change into the hospital scrubs he'll just wear a polo and jeans or khakis, something comfortable because he's probably going to try to hang out with the boys a bit before going home. His surgical cap is the only thing he brings from home, and its designs vary depending on his mood and the time of year. Some days it's black or green or blue, and some days it's hearts or smiley faces or syringes or swords or fairies. He'll wear just about anything in terms of a surgical cap design.
Malon also wears hospital issued scrubs as an OR nurse, but her scrub caps are more straightforward with horse patterns. She's a predictable woman in that regard. But she loves to find new surgical caps for her husband to wear, and occasionally they do matching stuff for fun.
Four usually wears muted colors for his scrubs so that way the colors can pop on his rainbow shoes (he'll wear whatever brand, as long as they're comfortable hospital shoes - the brand war is really just between Legend and Warriors). All of his pens are different colors and he likes to make priority lists in different colors based on their urgency. He also usually wears a surgical cap that matches whatever scrub color he's wearing for the day. He has compression socks in literally every color, he just picks whichever one he wants to go with that day. He's got a golden colored stethoscope. He wears a tie dye hoodie to work a lot if it's chilly enough, but he never wears it on the unit because it's his favorite and he doesn't want germs on it.
Sky is plain and simple since he has to wear a dark green flight suit to work, but he has bird stickers on his helmet that Sun got him ages ago. He smiles every time he sees them before putting his helmet on.
Twilight wears dark colors in general. Black scrubs are usually his favorite. He's pretty straightforward in his attire, but he usually has colorful fun stickers on his badges for the kids, like unicorns and stuff.
Wind hasn't figured out his style yet, but he loves to wear some light blue scrubs that his grandmother bought for him when he first started clinicals. He has a purple stethoscope with a seagull pendant on it from Aryll. Shoes and socks are still a work in progress for him, he just kind of sticks to professional looking sneakers for now.
Wild has to wear a polo shirt/khaki pants uniform but he somehow always manages to lose one or the other and his manager has given up on the matter so his outfit is some variation of something similar. It's supposed to be a dark green polo with khaki pants, but sometimes it's a grey polo with black pants or a blue polo with khakis or that one time he showed up in a shirt/vest/jeans combo because he could literally find nothing else (they gave him scrubs) or--
Hyrule wears a forest green polo and black cargo pants with black steel toed boots. Its his duty uniform. Considering how much he works, he basically lives in that outfit.

Hey in some of your overhaul fics, you mention that he has the reader wear dresses that kiiiiiinda resemble nightgowns- i was wondering, do you have any pics of what you imagine the dresses look like? Because everytime i go back to read your works, i imagine something different, lol- sometimes pastel gunne sax dresses, other times victorian inspired pieces with delicate lace, loose bohemian style kaftans, sometimes clothes that remind me of my grandma's doll collection- i know you like to leave your work open to the readers, but since overhaul's strict about every other aspect of his darling's life, do you think he's just as strict when it comes to their clothing style?
For "day wear," I tend to imagine reader being given nap dresses, lounge dresses, anything with lots of flounce to it. Dresses made from soft fabrics, light colors, maybe some light prints (like florals). Dresses that are definitely designed to remind you of your place inside, no shoes, nothing difficult to do. Just read books and engage in light hobbies and relax.
I do think that vintage Gunne Sax and similar 1970s dresses fit the aesthetic as well, though I would probably imagine those for a “later timeline” Overhaul in my vague fic series, when reader has graduated into a “housewife” type role.
But for “Reader is stuck in Overhaul’s bunker” situations, I usually imagine dresses like this:
For night time, definitely actual night gowns. Soft, usually if not exclusively white, lace and ruffles. Thin fabric. You might notice that sometimes he picks out ones that are very short... almost indecent, just barely covering your butt. He would deny it or say you had a filthy mind if you said anything, though.
In general, I think he’d control your clothing pretty much entirely. He picks out your outfits, picks out what’s in the wardrobe in the first place.
If you were super attached to a particular style or aesthetic, I can see him maybe working your preferences in if you’re being compliant and pleasant, as a reward. But like... in the way that a parent who doesn’t understand a teenager’s hobbies does? Where it’s not your normal clothing, not exactly what you would normally wear, but it’s his conception of it. So if you prefer to wear, say, jeans and t-shirts, he might pick out some casual blouses and leggings. Not quite what you wanted, but he’s got the spirit.
Like my mom, bless her heart, buying me a plain black short sleeve shirt from Target because she knew I bought a bunch of gothy clothes at Hot Topic back in ye olden times of 2004.
#yandere overhaul#afterwitch headcanons#I wore the fuck out of that shirt though#slapped on a longsleeve fishnet thing under it#bam! punky goth whatever.

Shingeki no Kyojin Headcanons: 104th training corps (College AU - Outfits pt I)
Hello, Postmodernbeing here. I decided to continue writing about this College AU , only this time, I'm making some outfits HCs, since I'm working in a oneshot and this visuals could be helpful. Also, it seemed like a lot of fun so I've decided to give it a try. Hope y'all like this. Much love.
IMPORTANT: I do not own Shingeki no Kyojin nor the trend of this outfits-displays, only this HCs belong to me. // Contains spoilers (for the icons that I used in some characters) // English is not my first language, so I ask for your patience and understanding.
Eren Yeager
Chains and rings of stainless-steel. Combat boots matching faux-leather jackets with studs and pins from bands.
Has a few flannel shirts (that he stole from Zeke, his brother doesn't mind, tho). But for the most part, Eren's shirts are from merch of bands with a few (handmade) changes.
Eren likes to sew badly on purpose some patterns or figures by following quick tutorials. All his clothes are modified or drawn over.
While his main looks are metal head alike, he also wears snickers, hoodies, sporty pants, and jackets to class. Pretty laid back, he looks as he just woke up from a nap all the time tbh.
Sometimes goes skating but he’s not that good, his skateboard is more of a fashion statement really.
Has both ears pierced around (lobe type) and tattoos on both arms.
It’s pretty obvious to this point, but I’ll say it anyways: Eren wears black religiously. Definitely he’s open to darker shades of any color, but must wear something black at least.
Mikasa Ackerman
Our girl wears black clothes mostly. She doesn’t have a preference between skirts/dresses or pants, but you’ll rarely see her wearing jeans.
Many skirts and ripped tights to match with platform boots or classic converse. Also owns a large wardrobe with different hoodie and shirt sizes and designs yet mostly in dark shades.
Lots of necklaces and rings with perforations to match, none in her face yet lots in her ears. Mikasa has only one tattoo: Azumabito’s clan logo.
Speaking about Azumabito’s, whenever she’s working with them, she wears faux leather jackets at most, and her classic red turtleneck. Nothing too exaggerated nor formal.
A total goth since middle school, and even though in college finds it a bit unpractical, she tries to keep it as loyal to her style as possible.
Books and notebooks are part of her attires. She’d be writing or reading at any time that’s possible. Not always about her classes, tho. She also likes novels and arts. An artsy goth, perhaps?
Armin Arlert
Sky blue is his color. Matching it with classy pants and blazers in clear colors.
His wardrobe looks like one that belongs to an aristocrats’ son. Some light-academia realness.
He can pull off some casual looks with sneakers but it’s more common for him to wear his oxfords, cap toes or moccasins to class, or anywhere really.
Cardigans, vests and blazers are his best friends as soon as autumn arrives. Always in colors such as beige, green, brown, and grey.
Armin is easily the best dressed from all his group of friends, and I’m not even open to discuss this. Let’s just remember his canon outfits throughout the four seasons. Even in a Modern AU he’ll keep being the king he is.
Not a big fan of accessories though. Except for his handkerchiefs that match his blazers. Since his grandfather used to choose his clothes, he taught Armin that a handkerchief was a gentleman’s must carry. Now he wears them only to pay his grandpa honor, as a lesson more so.
Jean Kirstein
King of brown jackets and turtlenecks. Really, his wardrobe is in such color harmony. It’s impressive.
Little to no accessories besides an occasional scarf or a single ring matching some bracelet.
Although he’s used to wear a consistent type of clothes and even colors, he wouldn’t dare to define a style for himself, is it boho? art hoe? dark academia? Maybe we’ll never know.
Zero perforations only because he’s scared of pain, but Jean is really drawn into them, so he uses fake ones for his ears sometimes. Has only one little hidden tattoo, made when he started college and lost a bet against Sasha and Connie.
Jean’s always stylish, clean, and smelling like cologne. He also has an extensive routine for shaving, combing his hair and trimming his beard.
Second best dressed of all his friends. Lowkey loves fashion but keeps it for himself (and Marco). Plus, in her mother’s house he keeps more clothes than his dorm' wardrobe can storage.
Marco Bodt
Colorful, youthful, and casual, that’s his style. Marco’s clothes reflect his joyful personality and every time he enters a room, he brightens the mood so easily.
A lot of denim and if he’s not wearing bright colors, you can be sure he’s caring something white with him (a bandana, a baseball cap, a scarf or his sneakers).
Shares with Jean a special appreciation for clothing, except Marco prefers more laidback and casual outfits.
Has no tattoos but recently got both ears pierced. He decided to since he really likes the earrings that k-pop idols wear.
If spring was a wardrobe, Marco would have it. I can’t stress this enough. Just so pretty and genuine.
Also, he definitely uses accessories (small jelly or colorful rings, bracelets of all kinds and simple necklaces) but there's more, he uses objects that are not meant to as accessories too. Such as band aids and small stickers around his face, skates in his backpack and flowers in his pockets.
Sasha Blouse
Unironically messy style. No matching patterns nor colors, different textures and sizes that made little to no coordination in her outfits. Unaesthetic is her aesthetic.
She likes baggy jackets and jeans with big pockets for snacks obviously, midi-skirts and graphic tees. Sasha is the definition of zero fucks given and still looking cute.
Of course, she knows how to pull off some cool outfits, it’s just that she doesn’t care that much unless is specifically required.
Not a big fan of accessories besides belts (maybe) and her backpack. Unless we’re talking about bucket hats that became a must wear thanks to Connie.
“Borrows” Nicolo’s hoodies/shirts that wears with her favorite threads. Then plays dumb when her bf asks her about his clothes. They both secretly love that dynamic.
Sasha plays it safe when it's about her hairstyle, also not a big fan of makeup -at least not the way Mikasa or Historia do-, but she’s open to try new things if her best friends dare her to.
Connie Springer
King of striped shirts and golden chains. His style is mainly urban and youthful. Conniegod remains unmatched in his awesomeness even in a Modern AU, if you ask me.
Owns a collection of sneakers that wears with his numerous printed socks. So creative and colorful.
Also, Connie has a small collection of unique shaped tinted glasses, also bucket hats and simple stainless steel chains.
Has small fun tattoos around his legs and arms, ears pieced but nothing too grunge. Speaking of which, he matches religiously his earrings with his chains that hang of his belt.
Usually wears dress pants or cargo pants. Anything but denim or really skinny fitted pants. Coincidentally, most of his shirts are loose too.
Definitely brings his skateboard with him all the time so it’s part of the outfit, really (Eren tried to copy that from Connie, let’s be honest). He’s so good at skating, and when he doesn’t feel like walking around campus, skating is always a good idea.
