Really fucked up that, when they’re young, Patrick and Art are SO tactile with each other, so comfortable sharing the same space. Art lets Patrick touch him and move him and physically overwhelm him and easily acquiesces to it, if not outright enjoys it.

Then in the present, they’ve been so far out of each other’s orbit for so long, held such animosity that when they have their moment alone in the sauna, Art physically recoils from Patrick’s close proximity! It’s so painful to watch because even as Patrick’s goading him, it’s so obvious he wants to be able to get back into Art’s space. But Art has erected all these walls around himself, he refuses to give Patrick an inch or even admit to missing how close they used to be!

AND THEN we see Art and Tashi later and he wants her to hold him, to be gentle with him, and just TOUCH him. Like, he does miss that kind of close physical contact! He either doesn’t know how to ask for it or is uncomfortable being that openly vulnerable. Worth noting that he pretty much always defers to Tashi in regard to initiating physical intimacy (with their first kiss, though he does state his desire, SHE has to be the one to make the first move). And it seems pretty obvious that Tashi herself isn’t comfortable providing that intimacy, whereas Patrick actively seeks to provide it (the hug/forehead kiss after their win together in the early years, dragging the stool closer to him).

Art has tried very hard to act like he doesn’t need physical affection and even though his discipline and devotion to Tashi has made him a stronger tennis player, it’s made him a hollow person, which, in turn, has kept him from becoming a GREAT tennis player.

All of this, of course, is why the ending hits so damn hard.

Every time someone in this godforsaken fandom says "I think we've talked about misogyny enough" I want to hit them with a hammer. No we haven't.

We haven't even talked about the deep "Ruikasa&Akitoya Vs. literally everyone else" imbalance enough but imagine all of the people that get pressured into writing specifically for male/male ships simply because otherwise they won't get any appreciation.

Yes it's a cowardly thing but when you see Ruikasa having over 4000 fics and Ichisaki having like 5 in total obviously you're going to be discouraged. Obviously you'll be biased into creating Ruikasa instead of other ships.

And as someone who depends on appreciation in particular to do any work at all obviously that's going to have a lasting consequence. Some people spend 4 hours crying in front of a screen just for 3 people to like their work and leave, it's understandable if they lose passion for creating at all, you guys killed them.

It's even in how we handle m/m ships. You go into a fic that's tagged Rui&Tsukasa(platonic), someone in the comments always goes "okay but when do they kiss". You go to an action-packed longfic, someone always ends up going "okay but when do they kiss".

Fuck you guys. Actually. This is a silly piano tiles game about Hatsune Miku, we should be one of the MOST CREATIVE fandoms in history and somehow people still get mad over two boys not kissing immediately after getting introduced. It's so fucking difficult being a content creator in this fandom because you always end up having to take the same route. They meet they tease they kiss. End of story. "Oh you're doing something "lame" instead? -1 kudo. Bring me my yaoi next🖕"

thinking about how, once Tommy knows that Buck is comfortable, he's all in too. but whenever he thinks Buck is hesitant, he checks in and if that's not enough, backs off - he's attentive to what Buck wants while also clearly communicating his own feelings. he knew Buck invited him at the wedding but wasn't sure if Buck knew exactly what that meant - but when he's reassured, yes, Buck knows exactly what taking Tommy to the wedding entails, Tommy is there. he goes to the bachelor party on short notice while on call. he does his damnedest to make it to the wedding because Buck invited him, and that invitation means something to him - means that an adorable, charming, attractive man wants him, and Tommy needs to let him know what that means to him, that he wants Buck as much as Buck wants him. so he shows up for coffee, he shows up for the bachelor party, he shows up for the wedding and apologizes for the work interruption even though he knows Buck gets it, he shows up for dinner at Buck's place after a long day. Whatever chance Buck wants to give him, whatever Buck is ready for, Tommy's there for him, ready to go all in.

One of the million bit of lore I'll eventually need to explain is that magic users are divided by the energy source they draw upon...

Different energies are better at different things, but with time and effort they can be put to any task. For example someone born with an affinity for fire magic could throw a fireball better than any of our trio, but that doesn't mean the boys couldn't do it too.

There are also some passive effects holding the energies within you; like a proto-spell it's something a magic user does automatically and unconsciously to digest the energy they naturally draw in but aren't doing anything with.

The effects are the kind of thing you'd expect; to use the example of the fire mage again, they'd not really notice hot or cold weather. Norman can see the dead, Dipper has near perfect recall, and Danny has heightened empathy.

Werewolf Subspecies: Greenland Wolf

While not everyone in Harveston is a werewolf, everyone is family and there's regular intermingling between the wolves that hunt and the humans that forage and farm. Harvestonites, while very open to outsiders, are surprisingly private about their personal lives. The humans of Harveston fiercely protect their werewolf community members, including the current youngest member of the village: Epel of the Felmier Werewolf family

Epel, despite being ecstatic to be enrolled in Night Raven, finds extreme difficulty in adjusting his rough-and-tumble lifestyle and attitude to the pristine halls of Pomefiore. It doesn't help he doesn't quite fit the standards of beauty Vil and, by proxy, the dorm subscribes to. His heterochromia, crooked teeth, and the scar across his lips, as well as his less-than-savory personality, find him in frequent odds against his housewarden. He finds his solace and freedom with his fellow First Year werewolves during their "weekend outings".
