⛔ Do you have a fic you started, but scrapped?

i think i've scrapped more fics than i've finished. there were actually a few i almost nearly finished and then decided weren't working for me. one of the bigger ones was in like 2018-19 ish i was working on this one akeshu fic about ways they might propose to each other but ended up never finishing it and now i don't think i'm really feeling it anymore, which is a bit of a shame because there are some parts of it i still think are funny haha.

🦅 Do you outline fics or fly by the seat of your pants?

i have never been good at outlining....... i find that trying to hit set beats makes my writing worse :( my recent longfic project is a training ground for me in a number of areas, one of which is learning to outline, but even then i find my outlines are quite short-term (almost scene by scene, if that). my best writing tends to come on the fly, which is not super sustainable, but is fun...

⌛ How long does it take you to write a fic, or a chapter?

anywhere between one hour and five years. or longer. see pants-seat flying above.

The moment Fyra at last turned in answer, the arch of her cheek met snuggly with the waiting hand of the Witch Knight before her. A moment between, a pause granted to the other so that she may settle. Then, a touch. Feather-light in feeling as her thumb stroked along her cheek in consideration. Traveling the shape of her cheek bone in a smooth, singular motion. Once and then twice.

"My dear tarnished. They should know better than to send you my way. You have too much to offer for those that may not see it. Giving thing that you are; I can only suspect that is why you are on a hunt."

With another shift, she adjusted and grasped her chin tenderly, tilting ever so slightly with the turn of her of her grip.

"You are a precarious sort of creature-- indomitable soul to come all this way with tears your eyes, you have traveled far. In that you are beautiful much the same way in which you are brilliant-- a little light in darkness. Please never lose that, hm?" Every word firm but not bereft of a certain softness that betrayed her visage.

" You deserve more than this so take that to heart." Her hand slipped from her jaw before she stepped back, "This is where our paths diverge-- keep your head up."

As if she had simply been s construct of shadows, s phantom passing between worlds she was gone in a blink.

Fyra stood where she was left, blinking confused, and mulling over everything that had been said to her.

To no one in particular, she spoke.

"I won't loose it... I won't."

I love Raph and haven’t said that enough so to be more specific I love that Raph is a soft boy who loves bear plushies, a gross boy who eats an assortment of things that are definitely better left alone, a smart boy who is more than capable of taking down villains through planning and fortitude alike, a strong boy who is dedicated to training his muscles and fighting prowess, a teenage boy who loves his brothers but is more than happy to tease and roughhouse with them, an angry boy who sometimes lets his anger take a hold of him to cover the fear, a gentle boy who is generous with hugs and affirmations to those he loves, a capable boy who takes on more than should ever be expected of a teenager, a good boy who just wants to be a hero and slowly comes to realize the cost of that duty, a good boy who has no reservations about putting himself in the way of harm coming to his family, a good boy who’s a great brother and son and person and deserves only the best the world has to offer.
