i am barging in to demand (humbly request) the shanks/pluvi lore. specifically how you met. please. i just really wanna know your vision

I am always ready and eager to talk abt shuvi lore truly i hope ur ready for So Much Yappage here 🙏🏻

The basic gist of it is I’m a lighthouse keeper and I end up kinda saving his life when the red hair pirates wreck near my island bc they didn’t listen to me LMFAOOOOO but I’ll put a more detailed account under the cut 🫣 and talking abt this inspired me to make a lil moodboard for our slowburn while i still live on my island (for a timeline it takes about two yrs for him to finally wear me down enough that im like yeah sure ill fuck u, n then abt four more yrs of us in a steadily ramping up fwb until i finally do leave w him—which is a Fraught Decision and a Whole Thing i will not get into here LOL)

It's a year after shanks lost his arm and they left the east blue, uta's with them bc the vague "uta is canon but film red is an au" thing lets me do what i want and what i want is for her to be integral to me warming up to the whole crew LOL (i have aged her up a bit tho, she's 12 here; shanks is 28, im 32ish bc again i do what i want and what i want is to age myself up KJSHDBFJKH). Anyway again im a lighthouse keeper, there's a storm brewing and i see their ship in the distance so i call them up on their transponder snail..........

I think they're coming in from a scuffle tbh, kinda intending to make landing and lick their wounds as they wait out the storm. im like hey ur Too Late and Too Far and ur gonna wreck if u try to make landfall rn. they do not listen to me and attempt anyway. it's a mess, the ship's already pretty damaged and the crew tired and in the chaos uta ends up going over—shanks jumps in after her, one armed and all, and they r swiftly separated from the ship in the storm

uta's fine enough when they wash ashore right beneath my lighthouse and shes also Loud enough that i hear her over the wind so i make the trek out and take my little pulley-lift down the cliffs and like listen. nearly unconscious man i know was one of those pirates who didnt listen to me...... i would not have bothered. but little girl soaked and sobbing and terrified clinging to him........ would be cruel not to help. so i grumble and bitch and trudge over to throw his arm over my shoulders and Attempt (w uta's "help" which is more just her bawling and yanking on his shirt, and also his help which is a bit more useful but still Not Great) to lug him back to my lil lift.

Im in like. Work overalls and a pair of grungy waders and a big ol wool sweater and a coat thrown over—real waterman chic yk—just soaked to the bone bc it’s pouring and the seawater’s doing nobody any favors, cursing up a storm bc shanks is a big fucking man and I’m very much doing the heavy lifting. Anyway he’s half conscious and drops a uh...... clearly addled “you’re beautiful” and I’m like okay dude if ur awake enough to be pulling that bullshit ur awake enough to walk better than this cmon now……….

Anyway we make it to the lift up to the lighthouse w uta just absolutely inconsolable and shanks drifting in and out of consciousness. Im taking the moment to catch my breath and steadily get more and more pissed bc she’s called him captain enough times for me to know he’s definitely the one who just Blatantly Ignored my warnings And she’s called him Shanks enough times that I’ve finally put a finger on who he is—bc one of my responsibilities as lighthouse keeper is also to warn the island of who’s approaching so I keep tabs on the more Infamous pirates of which the red hairs are so I’m even more irate LMFAOOOOOO sooooo serious I am such a cranky spinster in this selfship (even tho again I’m only like. 32 JDNCKSNKDND)

Anyway. Once the lift brings us up to the lighthouse/keeper’s quarters I help shanks to the spare room and grab him some dry clothes and he’s Out by the time I’ve showered n gotten into my own. Uta’s a bit better esp once I get her showered and dried too, she hovers near him for the first lil bit and then is spooked enough by the storm and yk her unconscious father that she ventures back out to stay w me. To help calm her nerves I decide to call into town and see if the rest of the crew has popped up (bc i know the currents and know generally where a ship like that would end up)—im decent friends w the local bartender and shes like yeah they showed up n now theyre weathering out the storm. she puts me through to beckman and he talks to uta and then he n i kinda agree better to just wait until the storm passes and then theyll come take uta and shanks off my hands

it takes like a couple days!!! the lighthouse is abt thirty mins from town but the storm's so bad the route is too dangerous for a bit. shanks remains largely unconscious for most of that; i take care of uta and she n i rlly bond during this time, in fact i let her sleep w me bc shes too flighty to sleep well w shanks.

and then she lets her fleet of uncles into my house while im tending to the light and i come back to be jumpscared by beckman and im like wow this is awful gtfo of my house take ur captain with u i want all of u G O N E 😭😭😭 i am not a people person and i do not naturally get along w men esp not. the kinda men the red hair pirates are i fear so i am very curt and quick to send them off.

it takes shanks another day or so to sleep it off n then he wakes up to a disheveled crew and a wrecked ship w them all stuck for at least a month while the ship is repaired. He only has very hazy memories of me regarding the whole ordeal and it's one of the primary reasons he comes out of it A Bit Obsessed but v much nothing concrete.......

ofc when i finally venture into town beckman points me out and shanks approaches me very eagerly n offers to buy me a drink n im like :) no thank u i would rather not do that actually pls take ur arm off my shoulders and never speak to me again JSHIBFJHB idk........ it takes a couple of other interations && watching me w uta before his Full Infatuation sets in but within the week shanks is v much enraptured and also in denial abt the romantic aspect (in his head he just wants to be friends w me bc uta adores me and i saved him; its like a funky little challenge in his head LOL)

then it's two yrs of him finding every excuse to come back "for uta's sake, shes always asking after her favorite auntie" and slowly coming to realize hes into me and then starting to be Very Obvious about it until i again finally give in. its sweet, idk hes the kinda guy in my head who falls Hard but doesn't realize until hes in the thick of it, poor Beckman who saw the entire future the moment he started asking uta about me when he woke up LMFAOOOOOO

silly hypothetical question: if you could turn your ocs (any characters) story into any medium perfectly to your liking, what medium would you choose?

Hi Sosa!! Oh this is such a fun question ty for asking it!!

I know for sure that Awol’s story would fit really well into a short film, since I feel like it’s contained enough and stretching it out via a longer visual media like a movie would be more of a detriment than a help. I think Awol’s story would be fun to play around with in animation, in my mind I’d see her story done in a style like Scavenger’s Reign. That show has such great animation and there are some graphic violence scenes that I think have the same energy as how I imagine Awol’s own scene with the storch she killed in her tunnel. I also think there wouldn’t be a lot of dialogue in this short since it also fits her very quiet nature. I think layout wise it’d kind of go like

Activation + being a normal ARAR unit -> degradation and her interesting in painting -> some scenes of her stuff getting confiscated/cleaned out etc with maybe a moment of her cadre -> discovery of the abandoned tunnel and some fun scenes of her just absolutely going wild -> other RTS units stumbling upon her tunnel when she’s not there -> Storch sent down to clean it as punishment for some misbehavior or other (I think this would be the most dialogue, her just receiving her orders and then complaining) -> Awol returning to her now barren sanctuary and seeing the storch -> brutal fight between the two that ends with Awol killing her -> closes with Awol painting the walls again and maybe the dead storch still in the shot bc I think that would go hard -> fin.

The next story that I definitely have a clear idea for would be the VDF-5’s whole ordeal told through a primarily Hollenhund POV as an animated show. Tbh if I could have all of my characters animated in the style of arcane I would in fact keel over and die from joy and I fear my answer for some other concepts style wise would also be this choice due to my personal tastes but I’m trying to think of what would best suit each story over what I just like. That being said the VDF-5 story I absolutely would love in studio Fortiche’s arcane style because I think the mix of animated expressiveness as well as the realism of how people look would be really good for the overall tone of the hypothetical show. I think the 2d elements of the style would be fun to explore in a sci-fi setting and it’d be perfect for fight scenes between characters as well.

As for the actual layout of the show (otherwise this might turn into gushing abt arcane’s style oops) I’d want it contained to one season. I just think it works well as a self contained story told in 45-60 min episodes. Also Sosa I am gonna get to ur ask abt Hollenhund so I will be yapping about her more in that 😭 but if it was told from her POV primarily I think the episode layout would look something like being divided by the first chunk being much earlier and letting us see Schrott in her prime during the war and her losing her cadre, Hollenhund at her Vinetan facility, and Essig and Honig’s early friendship and assignment to the VDF-5 -> time skip and all four of our main players are brought together on the VDF-5, Schrott as her wretched present self with Hollenhund under her wing, and then the friendship of Honig and Hollenhund (man I need to make a relationship chart I fear) and seeing Essig starting to crack under the strain of commanding her ship -> final chunk showing increasing tensions between our players as well as with external issues, until the imperial blockade finally beats the ship. I’m not explaining it the best right now but ideally I’d want to highlight war (war bad basically lol) and focus on replikas who were products for war, and were neglected as individuals. I swear it’s all so much clearer in my head 😭

Moving on to Kosmos and Dorredt, I think the medium that’d best suit their story would be a video game! Specifically an exploration type one, I’d imagine it having the cozy and adventurous vibes of a game like slime rancher while having gameplay that let you play as both Kosmos and Dorredt, letting you control both of them and having them work together during outer space adventures (like categorizing asteroids or mining from them, exploring, outside ship repair, etc) as well as inside ship tasks like tending to the hydroponics or more maintenance, etc. That’d be the gameplay all while narratively you’d be exploring Kosmos and Dorredt as characters and “helping” their relationship grow over time. Ideally I’d want it to be a bittersweet sort of end with the game coming to a close after receiving a transmission from AEON potentially/not hearing anything at all -> the two of them essentially living out their service lives until both Kosmos and Dorredt can’t function like they used to and eventually die, abandoned by AEON (sorryyyy 😔). I’d want it to be a really sweet and cute game but yeah also with that slightly depressing undertone. I also think that having something like cutscenes in a cute anime type style would be really fun as one of the ways to do storytelling in it. Visually for the rest of the game though I’d imagine it in a more low poly cute style like earlier pokemon games maybe? Something that’d give a nod back to signalis at least. Also could you imagine how cute 2d dialogue sprites of the girls would be 🥹

Last but not least, Holt and Wanze! I really struggled to think of something for them but I wanted to, and ultimately I think a 45-60 minute per episode single season show would also work really well for them. I think animation would be really fun to play with especially when it comes to bioresonance and a look inside Wanze’s mind. Style wise I think I’d want it to be something like The Lovers trailer for them as replikas

Plot wise I have a clearer idea just because I’ve had them and their story longer but I think it’d start with setting up Holt becoming a senior medical replika at sierpinski + Wanze and her role as a kolibri -> Wanze then losing her bioresonance and freaking out after Holt patches her up -> their ensuing strained patient and caretaker relationship to the weird one sided dependency -> their friendship and mutual crushes and eventual romantic relationship -> the flesh and holt’s death with it ending on Wanze alive and alone. As well as throughout the show seeing the background happenings of sierpinski and Holt and Wanze’s relationships to characters like Sieben, Adler, and the rest of the kolibri cadre, etc. I think vibe wise it’d be kinda dark both in terms of aesthetic due to well. Sierpinski. But also the looming threat throughout the show of degradation and ensuing decommission and how Wanze is on extremely thin ice throughout as she struggles with everything.

Now if I did their human AU I’d still love to have it as a show, but in the style of an older anime like Monster (fitting considering the hospital/doctor stuff lmao) or maybe studio ghibli (AUGH old lady Holt in ghibli style. I’m gonna explode)

Plot wise I think that one would be less grim atmospherically but it would still be depressing as hell in the end. It’d go similarly with Wanze injury (I’d imagine human AU she’d be like knight AU and lose an eye maybe) -> holt patch up -> the difference in this show would be that Holt and Wanze wouldn’t have to keep their romantic relationship hidden to stay alive so there’d be a lot more slice of life sweet moments -> Holt getting diagnosed with brain cancer and not telling Wanze for a while so they can keep living happily -> Holt’s decline as the tumor affects her memory and motor control -> her death in this AU too. I think vibe wise this would be a lot more lighthearted and fluffy when it comes to the two of them.

It's funny you say that bc me and @goodnightbirdy were just talking about this!!! (I actually just posted a fic based on it too hahah).

I definitely think it does. A big point with those two is that Charlie sees her in ways she doesn't even see herself. Like she's some kind of royalty or goddess. He's always looking at her like "man, what made her choose me??" He just loves her so unapologetically and he finds her so incredible that its a wonder to him she loves him in return. And the way the song points out things most people don't even think about while also putting the subject on a pedestal is SO like him with her.

To go deeper, I think the song is representative of the idea that Charlie loves her because she's willing to tell him the hard stuff: when he's wrong, when he's being stupid, because everyone else just let's him get away with it. Meanwhile she makes him slow down and ask why. And frankly, the song puts it in better words than I do there.

I love how unanimous this song is with charginny nation 😭😭 three of us have already separately associated it with them (which truly speaks volumes imo). And in that regard, my interpretation even in the My Lady Ginny fic/s seems to align with that, which means I'm not delusional after all haha.

headcanons only occur to me when im in the middle of writing fic and a character just does a thing and it becomes canon to me. im sure i will come up w some when i get around to writing that one wip idea . if i ever do 🙁 BOOOO brain let me write abt my girl i beg. and i avoid any and all talk about yosano because i actually cannot handle seeing people get things wrong about her. i will say i think, as always w bsd, the issue is people take two extremes. either shes evil violent and awful and doesnt care abt the agency and is assaulting them on the regular bc she feels like it (what are you people saying🙁🙁) or shes lovely and a gentle mother figure to kyouka + kenji (😐😐😐). when really, she IS violent shes a bit crazy shes what it looks like to hold life and death in your hands AND shes capable of softness and cares about her friends. thats always a defining feature of her, the reason she initially cant handle the reality of her ability is bc she cares too much. the rigid boundaries she has on it now and the mess she makes of people when using it, are very explicitly within canon tied to the fact that she cant devalue life and her ability naturally does. it HAS to be unpleasant so it isnt idealised. those two parts of her, violence and affection, exist at the same time. this literally isnt even analytical, this is just stuff canon says directly that people apparently dont get. lawl. that IS one of the things thats fun when writing her though, bc not only do those two things exist at once, the line between them is blurred. violence and affection, in the right circumstances, become united, mutually dependent. and theres sooo much you can do w that prose-wise. most of the time i spend thinking abt yosano i end up spiralling abt ability thoughts, but ive already got those out extensively and i refuse to repeat myself ever 💞

TY FOR ASKING BTW I DON'T REMEMBER WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME I HAD A CHANCE OF YAPPING ABT IT UNAPOLOGETICALLY. My lore for them is actually a mix of nearly everything, from sedition tapes to personal headcanons and Alagadda to fanfics I read YEARS ago as a new and innocent fan. Then I closed it all in bottle, gave it a good shake, and just let it sit in the back of my mind like wine.

So first of all, Alagadda of course works completely different from our world, so there 049's procedures actually work and he's able to return people from the death with little to no side effects. So if someone fucking dies in Alagadda, and one of the lords/ambassador/king is unhappy by it for any reason, 049 is the one who they call. This gives him somewhat important status in higher society, so he has an apertunity to chill around them, but he doesn't use that privilege very often because he just doesn't want to.

But there IS one lord that somehow managed to get close to him and slowly they both fall for eachother and become lovers. My boy my bbg my child I personally gave birth to 035. Unfortunately this fuck gets in so many conflicts with nearly everyone that it's just unsafe to let others know that he has someone he cares about (spoiler: that didn't help).

And then one day 035 gets fucking assassinated🩷🩷 (also keep in mind that I am NOT refreshing my memory about how Alagadda works so I may be wrong about it and in that case I'm sorry)

Under Ambassador's secret order, because in my head he's an evil fuck who wants all the power to himself, a group drags my boy to the sea and just drops him in there. The sea decomposes his og body and teleports him the fuck to Earth, this is also where his black shit originates from because as far as I remember it's also black. But that's not it, because ambassador sensed 035's closeness with doctor and decided to get rid of him too for a good measure. Idk what they do to him, plot holes are my hoes, but anyway he gets sent to Earth too.

But they had very different experiences with all that teleportation stuff because in the process 049 gets amnesia and doesn't remember anything about Alagadda or Dýo, even tho expects Earth work similar way to Alagadda subconsciously, and this difference and the fact that his procedures don't work anymore, with his anomalys way of sensing death on top, leads him to the pestilence as the only logical explanation.

Anyway at some point they finally met each other and Dýo is like "love! Omg I can't believe you're alive!♡" and Doc is like "who tf are you" and Dýo is DEVASTATED. Like honey we've been together for God knows how many decades fuck you mean no homo. He even thinks that doctor is just messing with him or mad at him for letting assassination happen, but unfortunately no and 035 learns that slowly and painfully. And unfortunately it leads to 035 following Doctor everywhere in hope to return his memories but from Doctor's perspective he's just being stalked by some weird dude that talks nonsense.

And so the same thing happens, they go back and forth about it, but unfortunately they both SUCK at communicating properly. And so Dýo is like "ok, fine, I'm fucking sick of you, I've never needed you anyway, chao" and he leaves and tries to live his own life and let go. And he's even being kind of successful, he can distract himself enough to almost forget about it, but his ass is doomed by the narrative. Every single time he practically gets over Doctor, they run into each other again. And every single time without a fail 035 can't help but get obsessed over and over again, drowning in all the memory and regrets and sleeping feelings waking up. At some he just gives up on returning 049's memories and tries to at least befriend his bird ass, and that's going at least somewhat successful. But not for long, at some point they get into argument again and one of them leaves. So really it's just "meeting again→sunny day before storm→storm→leaving and letting go→meeting again.." cycle of hell. But then Dýo gets locked in the crypt during one of these storms and he's found by foundation all this jazz.

They WILL tho one day get their happily ever after because I want these faggots to be happy and because they are meant for eachother, they're so bad separately that they're good together, but if I ever figure out how they will get there then I'll probably write a fanfic about it. Ty for reading all this yapp I could get idea across WAY shorter but I'll die if I not choose to get dramatic w my description 🫶

I'VE BEEN DOING PRETTY ALRIGHT!!!! >:D I've already mentioned this before BUUUT yesterday my grandma came over to do my hair after who knows how long..I think the last time she did it was when I was 12?? so it's been four years :'D and she was a little sloppy in the beginning bcz it's been so long but she got the hang of it pretty fast!

AND IT TOOK SIX. HOURS. tbh that's not that bad--if I actually went to the salon it would've taken longer :p bcz they have multiple ppl to work on ykyk but that's okay. My mom and grandma were talkin a lot about some random stuff while doing my hair like how much my grandma hates her coworker and yadyadyaydaysh and they fought abt a few stuff but got over it super fast--their relationship is just super rocky so a lot of convos they get mad at each other for something xD but it's okay 'cause I was minding my own business playing on my vita and reading tbhk >:D AND I HAD HALF A CARTON OF ICE CREAM!! IT WAS SO GOOD ABSHFBDSAHBF I WANT SOME NOW but I haven't had breakfast yet SO I GOTTA EAT THAT FIRST xD

so now my hair is thisssss black and red mixture?? It looks better than it sounds I promise BAHSBDHSAB the red isn't like neon or anything so it's fine ! It's more of a burgundy to be honest--which looks pretty good with the black! My mom picked it out bcz she wanted me to match her :3 her hair is a similar color :D only thing is I hateeeee having my hair down so that sucked to deal with while it was getting done :'D I just don't like longer hair tbh it gets in the way when I'm trying to do like.anything. and I don't like how it feels when it goes down my back--so I usually have it in either plaits or a ponytail. OOH YES AND ON MY VITA One of the games I was playing was the battle pentagraam and there were a few kyosaya moments I noticed in some stories that were suuper cute <3 !! I wish I took some screenshots!! (I think I took like.one xD I SHOULD'VE TAKEN MOREUGHHGUHGU. maybe I can still show later when I transfer them from my vita to my laptop!! :3). I also played some project diva, im@s and neptunia! :D

She still goes to save the world but it’s pretty hard to think the world, the one you love and cherish, will simply keep spinning without you. Is anything you do worthwhile? And god. How can you laugh alongside your friend, knowing you’ll never see them again?

Interestingly, the villain I wrote long ago was “the dark thoughts of the human mind seep into the Pokemon world” (???huh???) although that explains why Layo remembers her not-so-great human life

Never got to think about how the story ends (and i still don’t know if there’ll ever be a logical answer to those questions above. I just go “WE BALL WE BALL WE BALL WE BA

But also, now that I’m older, I do know they get a happy ending at least. That’s why they’ll get to grow up and evolve. It’s not always happy, but life still is good.

You loved your boyfriend so much. You just wanted to spend time with him and show him all your love.

You dance happily around the kitchen cooking his favourite meal. Smiling widely as you set up the table. It's been awhile since you've both sat down or had a date. You let out an appreciative moan as you take a taste of the dish.

"Right.." you clasp your hands together before tying up your hair and clean up a little.

Your head snaps to the door as you hear it open.

"Babyyy, welcome home!" You go to hug him but he manages to avoid your embrace.

You scrunch your face. Lips pouting and try to hug him again.

"Babyyy.." you whine, arms extending forward only for him to sigh and walk away.

"Ba-"

"I swear to god, if you say baby one more time!" You quickly bring your arms to your chest, shock plastered on your face from his tone.

"I train so hard, everyday. I'm tired! Can you not see I'm tired?! We live together already so stop being so fucking clingy! Fuck!" He yells out in frustration, hands curling into fist as he leans against the sofa.

"I-"

"Shut up, just be quiet! Let me have some peace. I just got here let me at least take my shoes off and then you can start yapping about nothing!-" You feel tears start to form in your eyes, throat tightening as you watch him shout at you.

"Stop!" You don't know how you managed to yell but you've caught his attention.

"I-I just wanted to enjoy a meal with my boyfriend, who I feel like I haven't spend time with." Your voice cracks as choke back a sob.

"I-I'm just going to go to bed. Enjoy the food, Scott." You start walking to the stairs only for him to reach out for you.

You instantly flinch and he feels his heart drop.

"Don't touch me, please." You whisper and sniffle your way to your bedroom.

You let the sobs out as you bury yourself in bed. Your body shakes with every recall of his words, pain shooting down your gut.

Downstairs, Scott slams his palms on the table. He watches the two plates move from the vibration and pinches the bridge of his nose when he sees the trouble you through. The trouble you went through for him. And he had the audacity to insult you for doing nothing wrong.

He slightly opens the bedroom door and feels his chest tense. Your muffled cries and shaking body has him hating the way he's treated you.

"Baby.." he coos but you only grip the cover tighter.

"Please forgive me. I didn't mean anything I said. I've just been so tense with football and I know it doesn't excuse me but please know, I don't think your clingy. Fuck, I love how you always want to be with me. And I listen to everything you say, it's all important, I love hearing your voice. Please, please forgive me. I love you." He lets out a broken sob, lip caught between his teeth as he waits for you.

You softly peel the cover off, your puffed eyes meet his slightly red ones. You softly touch his hand, entangling your finger with his and you open the covers for him to get in.

"I love you too." You mumble as he snuggles against your chest.

"I'm really sorry, baby, please don't leave me." He pleads.

You play with his hair and hum.

"I'm not leaving, but please talk to me more. What you said hurt-"

"And I wish I could take it all back." He interrupts.

"I know, just tell me what's going on so I can help." You say.

He gets out of bed and pulls you out.

"Why don't I tell you over the amazing dinner you made?" He cups your cheek and pulls you into a kiss.

You smile and nod against his lips.

"Yeah, let's do that."
