first we have pallea whom I desperatley need to draw more since shes one of my faves and she gonna stick around the most, Im gonna be honest prepare to see more of her, she's a bit of a trickster, always trying to get on everyones nerves and only geniuenly succeding on mickey, they have a bit going on between them and like I said I need to post more abt my girl TOT

pallea my beloved, also just throwing it out there, I did NOT name her after pellea the dish I did not even know that existed before making her I remember I was naming her the same way I name alot of my ocs when they dont have irl names and I just took two words and smashed them together, I also wanted a character to have word PAL in the name for puns, I didn NOT name her after the food TOT

then we have my another very beloved oc RAMONA LOSALL

when it comes to her I accualy don't wanna post too much abt her bc shes exclusive for a project I am not even NEAR touching anytime soon simply to not work on whole 4 big projects at the same time like that would just straight up kill me lmao, but she beasictly starts out as a femme fatale untill it turns out shes as good of a detective as mickey and the two of them get into some cases together

designing her was really fun and I am SO proud of how she turned out, I've been meaning to draw more characters in the rubberhose style that fits in with mickey and others that does have more unique features since I am one of the very few people who accualy do mind the same face on every mouse character that isnt just a big snout, shes got much much smaller and in head ears, her eyes are highlighted and big also her pupils are square and my fav her snout is in a diff shape its curved up and goes more thin as it ends that is that one design i am SO proud of omg

also fun fact, she accualy started out as a redesign of ingrid from old mickey comics but writing just kept going and going and redesign was redesigning

then we have "elenor"e exe.24 who guess what were just calling elenore, I don't have that much drawings of her and I NEED to redesign her...again bc I dont like how her body turned out as in its not rubberhose enough imo

ofc my art doesnt do full on noodle hands and thin arms and legs and stuff but it never went on the level where I was like "hm looks like my normal human build" untill it came to drawing her, the issue with the rubberhose style is that you will have just awful time while trying to design a curvy character , anyways shes a robot and I can see that you can see that shes inspired by mimi the pin up girl like shes in the photo i can see that you see but ye just like ramona she started out as a redesign of an already existing character in this case mimi and things got out of hand again, she's apart of the "neon city" and works in the entertainer industry [while activley fucking up the entire system when no ones looking]

then we have amelia who's in something im accualy working on right now so im not gonna tell you much abt her character and will more focus on her design

shes a weasel! her design was my attempt at using shape language more in my art witch i think you can obviously see since shes beasicly a one giant triangle with soft outsides, I tried my best to give her light colors that don't melt together too much and Hopefuly succeded TOT

but I can tell you she would either instantly choke sylvester shyster to death or would sing him lullabies to bed and theres no inbetween

Rick and Morty Season 7 Episode 1 Favs and Thoughts

(and maybe a small rant)

Rick and Morty season 7 has officially begun and this is the first time on this blog I plan on sharing some of my favs (and maybe some not favs) and my thoughts about each episode.

This will NOT be spoiler-free so turn back now if you haven’t watched the episode yet. If you have watched the episode or don’t care if you run across spoilers then please proceed.

My Favs:

The new voice actors!

Ian Cardoni and Harry Belden as Rick and Morty, respectively. I thought the actors did an amazing job at capturing the characters, even though we didn’t hear much from Belden this episode. I was looking them up on IMDB and some of their previous work included being an announcer for Wrestlemania, acting in a really crappy looking Disney Channel Christmas movie, and one of the better gigs, playing a bit part on Joe Pera Talks With You. And now they’re the stars of Rick and Morty. Talk about a big break.

Morty’ s snarky coffee comment and Rick’s sarcasm.

Morty is becoming more like his grandfather every season because that comment feels like something Rick would say. Also, I feel that in such a small scene the banter between Rick and Morty seems a bit richer with two different actors playing off each other as opposed to just having Roiland do the two voices. Hopefully we get some bigger scenes to really get a chance to hear them together.

Ok. To be honest, I’m a little bummed that she was rescued off screen but I’m not going to let that ruin my enjoyment of the season. So she is home and she is an absolute teenage terror! BP took a dive into the deep end of the parenting pool with that one. Others have made this comment as well but I love her punk rock aesthetic that she’s got going on, ahold over from her days at Femme Fatale Training Camp. I hope Morty never meets her because I think he would be SMITTEN for approximately 10 seconds until she kicked his ass to another dimension (or she might be just as smitten by him and in that case I don’t think the multiverse could handle that relationship).

Ghost Robot

I thought it was really clever joke overall especially when Rick interrupts the download for “Business” so it’s unfinished. Get it huh huh get it. Hope he shows up later in the season.

The gangs all back!

I enjoyed the absolute silliness of Rick’s pitiful attempt at an intervention that turns into a drug and alcohol fueled bender that turns into an attempt to woo Amy back, a fight with Mr. PBH’s ex-wife’s new paramour ( who is a Predator hired to spy on her) and then coming to the realization that Amy has moved on and her and Poopy Jr. are in a much happier place, and because of that, Mr. PBH (or Wayne) can find closure in that and move on too.

The fade out pills and the Best Friend Burrito Box

I was giggling throughout the episode but I did love the fade out pill gag and Rick fading back in to explain the pill and give one to Mr. PBH then fading back out again. Also, I was so sad for Gene to get his Best Friend Burrito Box taken away! He wasn’t lying! He did have friends they just faded out without him.

My Not Favs:

Hugh Jackman.

I love the actor and this by no means pulled me out of the episode or ruined my enjoyment but I think the episode would have been stronger without him. Or, at least, have him actually secretly been a real wolverine. Not the superhero, Wolverine, but a wolverine that disguised himself as a human.

My Thoughts

(and my rant):

I think online discourse around film, television, and media has destroyed the ability to enjoy something that is just meant to be simple and silly and fun. If an episode of a season is not “mind-blowing” or “moves the narrative forward” it is immediately the worse thing ever. Was this the best episode of Rick and Morty? No. Was it the worse? No. Was it mind-blowing? No, but most Rick and Morty episodes aren’t and I realize I just said something sacrilegious. Was it deeply philosophical? Again no, but most Rick and Morty episodes aren’t. Again I’m being blasphemous in some circles of the fandom. Was it funny? I thought so but your mileage may vary.

Overall, I found it on the same level of episodes like the one were Morty impregnates a sex bot, 2nd interdimensional cable, Tiny Rick, or the dinosaur episode from last season. So I was really surprised at such a strong negative reaction to an episode that I thought was perfectly fine. I feel that the reaction was completely unwarranted and out of proportion with the episode we got. I’ll caveat it with most of the negative reaction being on Reddit ( which I realize is Reddit and Reddit will do what it will do). A vast majority of critic reviews I read were pretty positive and so has the discourse on Tumblr for the most part. I’m sure some of it is coming from Justin dickriders pissed he face actually consequences for his actions, but not all of it.

I felt the new episode would have fit very comfortably in with season 6 ( which I felt was a great season). Maybe it wasn’t to the level as other premiers but I had fun watching it. I love me a deep lore episode or a mind-bending sci-fi, but I also appreciate an episode that suppose to just be fun and silly and relaxed with a little bit of heart. I enjoy seeing Rick try to help his friend out of a rut and I’m glad there is some closure on Mr. PBH’s arc. And it was good to see the friends reunite. Squanchy’s alive, Birdperson is navigating fatherhood and we got to see a side of Rick we don’t see a lot. And if it’s any consolation to those who absolutely hated the episode, next week’s episode is supposedly a lot stronger.

I think it’s okay to criticize an episode but I did see one Redditor complain that he thought (and I feel comfortable assuming this person was a he) that Rick and Morty was now turning into…a sitcom. I swear I felt my soul leave my body. I wanted to say :

a/n: GOD I AM DELULU, I had a dream of this like a few nights ago and while this ain't my fav piece nor is it very good, i had to write it

The American sector was all Laswell’s territory, but for this one, it became an international threat as a Bosnian mafia leader was said to be planning a visit to Miami. Which so happens to be where you were also staying as there was a press conference for your new movie. Laswell, sweet matchmaker she is, knew that you were in town, so she specifically requested Price for this assassination mission. Gaz came along too, only because she wanted him to have a break. 

Laswell called you two weeks before, informing you about the man and Price will be tracking down, using your press conference to get close to him. The plan was easy, you finish your conference and lure him into a conversation, invite him to LIV, and from there it was all Price. One thing she forgot to mention, however, was that Price didn’t know you were involved until he landed and you greeted him. This “American undercover agent” was you. 

“Love, what are you doing?” He whispered calmly, yet demanding in your ear as he nuzzled into you. From everyone else’s view, it was just two lovers reunited after months of waiting, which was true anyway.

“The eagle has landed.” You mumbled as pure bliss wrapped his strong biceps against your ribs. 

Laswell laughed in your earpieces, “Surprise John, you get an easy mission and see hot shot Hollywood queen too.”

Out of the corner of Price’s eye, he sees Gaz sitting with a woman, both with two cups of coffee on the table they shared. “Bastards you two.” He should’ve seen it coming with you wearing one of Gaz’s hats and Laswell’s sunglasses as your disguise from the paparazzi.

“Get on with it.” Laswell and Gaz cheered and laughed at the two of you with Price’s sour expression ruining this heartwarming moment as you giggle at him. 

The press conference went great, though Price’s anger and utter annoyance at you wrapping your arms around this very violent and dangerous man did make Laswell tease him the entire day until you two got to the club. 

Price wraps his arms around your waist as you stand in front of your mirror as you finished up doing your hair. “You’re so pretty, Love. My star of the show.”

You giggle and kiss his cheek, turning around and using your thumb to rub his cheek and groom his beard. “Are you ready?” You pat his suit jacket lapel and feel the glass vitals of white snake root extract. 

“Always.” His hand caresses your thigh to feel your holdout, a small handgun. Price insisted that you have one with you at all times throughout this mission, and just with you in general because he knows about hidden vendettas against celebrities. 

“Tarik? Right? We spoke today?” You purred as you slide into the VIP table next to the target. You lean your chest forward towards him and cross your legs. 

A few tables away was your own VIP table with some of your costars and their dates. Price leaned back against the vinyl booth, a glass of Don Julio Real swirling in his hand. The booming bass shook through his bones as his eyes stayed trained on you, Gaz’s voice in his ear as he instructs him to move to the bar on the 5th seat. He sees you reach for the man’s chin and drags it to your face. You whisper something to him, close enough that even the DJ couldn’t drown out the fake lust that dripped from your words. That was enough for him as he let you go and grab two drinks for the both of you. 

Walking up to Price in the 3rd seat at the bar, you wave down to the bartender and asked for a bottle of Remy Martin. Price paid and smirked at you. “Having fun here, Sweetheart? Never seen you before.” 

You giggle at his charades, “I’m usually filming or at E11even though. I like that accent you got going on.” 

“Worcester, Darling. I’m sure you’d love it more when it’s right in your ear, hm?” His breath felt hot on your ear lobe as your fingers moved to his chest, taking out the vital. “Have a drink with me instead, it’ll taste better.” 

You smile and roll your eyes playfully. As you stand with the two glasses, one filled and one empty, and the bottle in your other hand, you whisper something nonchalant to him. “We should film it then. Actress after all, right?”

John bit his cheek to cover up his growing smile as he stayed at the bar counter, thinking about the hotel room that he’ll be bringing you back to. Laswell gags, and Price rips out the ear piece and shoves it into his pocket.

☆V-Kei bands recommendations!!

1. SHAZNA

An group from 90's Japan. They have some metal songs but mostly give light vibes. Its vocalist's name is IZAM and there're two other guys whose names I don't really know dnwkwksk.

All I know It's that my favorite songs are Koinotempo and Lover.

2. Femme Fatale

I'm sorry this isn't as known as deserved. Bringing the characteristic dark-victorian-vampire vibes to the table, Femme Fatale provides a nice listening experience while immersing on the melancholy. Truly praying y'all to give it a try.

Fun fact: It's not only on your mind, that's actually KAYA KSNJKSJAJAJA

3. Kebyo 仮病

I like their look, it's like they have a younger style than other visual kei groups on this list.

I don't honestly have much to say but this band carry an energetically-heavy sound. They're nice, give them a listen.

4. Kaneto-Juusei

And for the last, Kaneto-Juusei entrances are made using uncommon sounds like moans, breathing and trembling voices. The perfect example is Rusubandenwa (one of my favs). Their visual concept keeps the better tradicional v-kei elements and improves them ending with a more contemporaneous look. Reminds me of ventricle dolls. Even thought I know it's a more recognized band, I couldn't help but add it to the list.

u kno whats one of my fav things abt torchwood actually. i think its depiction of explicit 'adult' themes and particularly sex itself is rlly... juvenile and gauche, but one of the things about torchwood is it manages to do this thing where... if they mean to do something, it's a mess, but if they... don't specifically mean to, it's Good. like, the subtext is ALWAYS better than the text in this show imo. and one example is in the show's relationship with sexuality.

one of the first things i found compelling about the show, on my first watch through, was the general sexual energy of the characters - the way they're always kind of eyeing each other, always toying with each other and flirting a bit, that sort of thing. this is, of course, in their day to day casual moments at work. i think those little moments, where someone throws someone a smirk, where there's lingering eye contact, where they're snarking back and forth, the constant flirtation and teasing - i find those moments more sensual and compelling than any of the more explicitly 'steamy' scenes. this may also have something to do with the fact that my idea of peak sensuality is scenes in old noir films where the detective lights the femme fatale's cigarette for her and she holds his gaze unblinkingly and their hands brush... that sort of thing.

and torchwood kind of dabbles in that realm of... i dunno what you'd even call it, i guess it's seduction, ultimately, only in torchwood it's pervasive and ongoing haha. this is ofc my poly tw agenda speaking but you just get the sense that any two characters could, and might, end up together. will they wont they, yknow? and i live for that shit. and torchwood has it in thirty directions! and certain fanfic writers see that angle and latch onto it and allow that sort of... flirtatious circling of each other to evolve into genuine seduction... unf. hotter than smut. and i quite enjoy smut haha

The creation of the Vermeil Foundation. Chae-Yeong's well aware that charity alone isn't going to be able to help people, but she still makes sure to heavily fund the foundation, with the idea being it can help the people who need it the most in Mantle. Along with that she's built in resources for people, including opportunities for formerly incarcerated people looking to turn their lives around. She's always been committed to trying to make the world a better place for everyone, and this is a way for her to do that

🔍Film Noir🔍 ~ Are there any questions about your F/O that you’d like to see their source answer?

The thing I'd want to see answered in canon the most for James is how his Semblance actually works. We got like two sentences about what Mettle even is in a con panel, so it's hard to say how that even works. I think I have a pretty decent understanding of it from my own reviewing of the wiki page on it like 20 times, but I wish we had an actual in universe reference to it and what it does bcs it's a mental Semblance, which means we don't really see it clearly and the mechanics of it are unclear

Marilyn or Ava Gardener?

good question, anon. i think picking between these two in a general sense is hard because they both lived such interesting lives and became icons of their time. i think i just know more about marilyn and her story in particular just draws me more to her.

ava gardner in the killers was a femme fatale icon for sure.

i also think ava’s marriage to frank sinatra is interesting to read about.

but marilyn monroe will always have a special place in my heart as one of my fav old hollywood icons hands down.

From this vlog, i could see that his eyes somewhat feels heavy (it could be more personal issue or reason) but the thing is its kinda feels like his achievements somehow make his heart empty now. Or it could be that he just tired of something and still take his time to get stuff done.

He have this anger in his eyes, for me, it talks about his passion in music and kpop world, it kinda akward how this thing could have double meaning. First about how he always feel that he have no talent in music (but still try to improved as hard as possible) , and somehow the second one about he wanted to explore more stuff but someone or something was blocking his way.

And lastly from what i see, he has a lot of sadness from more like human relationship, it could be something like the person he likes a lot or look up to, but it also feels like a friend, so it could be both of those reason. When i see those eyes, i always feels a really deep feeling and a deep hurt that could happen in any possible way, but he always holding it back and keep it to himself.

Hongjoong always show that cute little move, i would assume that he was more on feminime side when he was around someone that he really likes (close friend etc) note : he was the type that hate to be marked as cute person but sometimes unconsciously doing that

Hongjoong has a good relationship with every member, it always seems that he has nothing to be hide and show his emotion more, sometimes i do see an uncomfortable move but it just in old clip videos. But heres a note, sometimes i see theres a forced movement that he done with Seonghwa. But it could be meaning that he has a problem with him for some time, or could be they just doesn't fitted each other and just keep trying.

Face reading

Sharp, that is the first thing i know when i imagine his face. Its can be means he has a sharp mind and he look foward a lot and think every possible possibility. I would say he was smart but its a little bit more than that (not genius). He has a lot curiosity about a lot of things and always find a way to fulfill that.

Lastly, i would say he has a "mad face" Its easier to say it was more like a rbf, but even for me that things locate a lot deeper in his face. Somehow he growing with madness that could explode anytime or that madness just embedded in him.

Anyone even want to begin to explain why so many Dramione fics are based off of slavery slaver tropes and then an additional BREEDING kink on top of that? I mean joke's on you, I read all of 'em, but the amount of feminism found in Tomione fics is abundantly shown. There's just so much more equality in how they're written. Also, every Tomione I've ever read writes Hermione as cleverer and I love that. Tom is just so unbearably arrogant and gets his just desserts and there's no savior complex in how there is with Dramione and Draco CONSTANTLY saving Hermione from peril, either rape or other kind. Tom Riddle on the other hand hears abt a plot against Hermione goes to save her, and winds up just being backup to Hermione's demolishion show. He is the bi wife husband in all of the fics whether he wants to be or not. Also, it's completely fanon that Draco Malfoy is Hermione's academic rival. Yeah, colour me surprised. So Hermione actually having that banter would be more plausible with Tom.

This isn't me bashing dramione or promoting tomione i'm a tombraxas shipper - but it's just so FUCKING FUNNY to see the difterences clearly shown in these two pairings.

Also the fact that in most of these Dramione stories it's actively shown that Draco had some fetish for Hermione from their Hogwarts days is staggeringly discomforting because he viewed her an object and only then slowly through char development did he begin to see her as a person. Draco respecting Hermione and then loving her is the end goal for Dramione.

Whereas with Tomione, Tom instantly sees Hermione as some sort of threat aka he already does not underestimate her or he stops v quickly. Respect is not the end goal. For him shattering his walls and letting people in is the end goal. Not once does he truly think Hermione stupid or less than a person. Most likely because he grew up around so many women (esp during the 30s and 40s when they had to work traditionally men's jobs and were the sole care takers of the world while the men were off at war) . And Hermione is not sleeping w him or seducing him to survive or because it's forced on her. She is a Femme Fatale. She is here to kill him. Also in a way Hermione's end goal is to let people in and shatter her walls. It's quite cute.

Tom Riddle sees Hermione as a person and then can have all of those uncomfortable feelings (ugh, how dare I feel anything for a lesser mortal human being ughhhhh) because he doesn't need to first go like (oh wow look at that she actually exists as a person and not a filthy mudblood i have been forced into close quarters with due to orders and I am good and I am actually a kind person BUT ONLY after I first stop associating your kind with dogs and such). Tom, on the other hand is having an existential crisis about emotions (mainly cuz he's going thru puberty in most of these time travel hogwarts fics when the draco ones mainly tend to be early to mid 20s)

However the framing of these pairings in terms of Hermione's position are completely inverted. She is a powerful witch turned victim who needs Draco and depends on him until HE gives her the power back to be herself. When with Tom she is a powerful witch with a mission in mind and he feels threatened by her power (as does she by his) until they both get on some equalibrium. Hermione does not lose her agency in Tomione fics. She does not need Tom to piece her back together and send her off into the world.

If anything it's Hermione with a victim saving complex in Tomione fics. But that's on ingrained sexism in media tropes where women tend to be healers and help the misguided terrorist.

All I'm saying is that Dramione Hermione and Tomione Hermione would absolutely not mesh well. D!Hermione would not get one punch in before T!Hermione demolished her.

Next up I'll talk about my fav variation of these: Volmione. Because that pairing in particular takes the worst out of these two and just CRAMS them in together. And i love it.

this ask really made me forget every relationship i like…….. for things that would get me in a call out post, i do love age gaps with power imbalances (querelle, love is the devil, the bitter tears of petra von kant, conversation piece, pale flower, colette's chéri, megan abbott's queenpin are some of my favorites), i love a femme fatale (park chan-wook's thirst, film noir in general but especially out of the past), love everything in the molds of carmilla and beauty and the beast and also all types of gothic romance, the stranger the better (angela carter's work, mario bava's the whip and the body, borowczyk's the strange case of dr. jekyll and miss osbourne).

my favorite genre of all time is when there's a family and they are really messed up, so of course there's a lot of dynamics in that that i love (oshima's the ceremony, fists in the pocket, the borgias, wuthering heights, almost every luchino visconti film ever).

i'm a huge fan of the talented mr ripley and joke about things being ripleycore. love everything that has a mix of class, identity and gay people. they naturally include manipulation and power games and sometimes murder, so that's problematic i guess! losey's the servant, chess of the wind, the original tom ripley books ofc, all about eve, passing (both the film and the novella) are some stories i think have those elements with dynamics that i love, love.

2. Who is your fav character overall?

Well, I think we all know who my favorite is lol *gestures to my entire blog* But if you don’t count the Gangreen Gang as one character, I would have to say my favorite is Snake. It’s funny because he’s not as developed as other ppg characters I like, but he’s been a favorite ever since I was a little kid. Idk he’s a funky little reptile and I love him.

5. Fav episode?

A lot of my favorites involve the gang (surprise, surprise), but off the top of my head, two of my faves are Schoolhouse Rocked and Power Lunch. imo those are when the Gangreen Gang are at their best. The former gives each member their own spotlight for a bit and despite Ms. Keane’s negligence in the episode, it’s funny watching the boys just wreak havoc and the ppg being unable to do anything about it. The latter is just so fun to watch! Seeing the gang with superpowers be an actual threat and for once give the girls a hard time, the way they work together to fight the ppg, even the way they lose their powers is just very on-brand for them lol. Also the fight scenes are great!

9. Least fav character?

From what I can remember, probably Femme Fatale, despite her episode actually being really good. There are other characters I don’t like but at least have funny lines. With her, idk she’s pretty one-dimensional even for a one-off villain (though the people she’s based on tend to be as well 🫢). Long story short, I’ve encountered people who unironically act like her so there is that negative connection. Outside of that, she’s pretty boring.
