been playing through TWDG after like 10 years and I decided to draw a really self-serving idea of "what if every child throughout the series made it to Ericsons with Clem"
Duck is not a smart man but he's exceptionally loyal. His lack of wit is countered by his raw strength, despite losing a hand all the way back at the motor inn. At Ericson's he'd probably hang around with the likes of Mitch and Willy. Totally has his dad's hat somewhere.
Becca is the local pain in the ass. Constantly breaching the safe zone and acting primarily in her own interests, few people actually like her but can't deny her capability; she's good to have around in a fight. She's come to respect Clementine's resourcefulness but would never admit it.
Sarah stays firmly within the walls of the school, but that doesn't mean she doesn't pull her own weight. Following in her father's footsteps she's the closest the school has to a doctor now. She'll hang close to Clementine but also gets along with Ruby and Aasim.
Gabe Garcia is the local sadboy. He's not as moody as he was in Richmond, but he's still a little mopey and insists on stepping up. Despite her protests he's very protective of his sister, and still harbors a soft spot for Clementine - so naturally doesn't get along with Louis/Violet.
Mariana Garcia is young but capable, and weirdly well adjusted and mature for her age - she's younger than Gabe but feels like the older sister. After the New Frontier shot her eye out she hasn't been as active in a fight but she'll still insist on pulling her weight while knowing her limits. Gets on with everyone.
James Fairbanks is the oldest known surviving member of his family (unless Sam is still out there) and is brutally protective of his younger brother, Alex. Has a mutual respect with Clem and is very good at setting traps outside the school.
Alex Fairbanks would probably like to fight walkers more but James prefers he'd stick to supply runs and stay on watch. He feels stuck at the kids' table and wants to do more to help, but is at a loss on how to do so.

Friends
Sarah nervously glanced between Clementine and Becca. The three of them were serving their detention, which they’d learned would be until the end of term, along with another student called Gill.
“I’m just saying, heavy objects should go on the bottom.” Said Clementine, shoving a massive brick of something with her feet.
“What do you know about stacking?” Demanded Becca, her voice still slightly stuffy.
“I visited a dairy once.”
“Ooh, a dairy,” Becca sarcastically waved her hands, “what’d they do? Show you how they inbreed with each other?”
Clementine, Sarah and Gill stared at her.
“You, you do know what that means, right?” Asked Gill, as Clementine opted to glare at Becca.
“Only a…” Becca suddenly froze, noticing Clementine’s glare, “…idiot wouldn’t know what that means.”
“I don’t understand the appeal of having sex with your family,” Said Sarah, frowning, “I didn’t understand it with Game of Thrones, and I don’t understand it now.”
Clementine let out a snicker, before looking at the object she’d been pushing, “Why does the school have a salt lick?”
“They have horses.” Said Gill, trying to pick one up, “God, these are heavy.”
“They’re supposed to be.” Grunted Clementine, kicking the salt lick, “I saw a guy get his head caved in with one of these.”
“Jesus.” Muttered Gill, as Clementine kicked the salt lick again and slipped.
Clementine let out a short scream, before catching herself. There was a crack and the ring finger of Clementine’s left hand bent backwards. Becca gagged and ran off to throw up, while Gill and Sarah stared at it with a mixture of shock and morbid fascination. Clementine stared at her hand, before pulling the finger off and shoving it in her pocket.
“Maybe we should carry them.” Said Clementine, crouching down and heaving the block into her arms.
Becca got back and froze as Clementine carried the salt lick towards the school’s barn. Sarah chose to follow Clementine’s original method and shove the block with her feet, while Gill tried to pick the salt lick up. Becca looked around, before her gaze fell on a trolly. Without a word, she hit Gill’s shoulder and pointed at the trolly.
Gill looked over at Sarah and Clementine, the latter had already reached the barn and the former was making steady progress with her block. He then turned to Becca and helped her load their salt licks onto the trolly and calmly walked towards the barn.
“Is this it?” Asked Becca, as she and Gill joined Clementine and Sarah, “Seems pretty easy to me.”
“Nothing’s this easy.” Said Clementine, frowning, “Where’d you get that?”
Becca and Gill looked down at the trolly.
“Found it.”
Clementine glared at Becca, before turning to look at the doors.
“I suppose we’re supposed to wait for someone to unlock the door.” Muttered Clementine, shifting the salt lick in her arms.
“How are you able to hold that?” Asked Sarah, looking at Clementine’s arms.
“One of my previous fosters had me hold a car engine.”
Sarah frowned, as Gill leaned against the trolly.
Becca sucked air in through her teeth, “So, what do you guys do for fun?”
The other three turned and looked at her, Clementine raised her eyebrows, “What?”
“N-nothing, I just thought I make conversation.” Muttered Becca, becoming interested in her shoes.
“I build models.” Said Gill, getting a jump from Becca, “I usually build cars and stuff.”
“I like to read books.” Mumbled Sarah, fidgeting with her glasses, “I, um, also like drawing.”
Gill looked at Clementine, who looked vaguely annoyed, “What about you, Clem?”
Clementine glanced at him, “I’m not allowed to talk about my hobbies.”
“Why, cause they’re boring?” Snarked Becca, folding her arms.
Clementine was silent, before sighing through her nose, “I listen to music.”
“That’s it?”
“Am I being interrogated?”
“Yes.”
Clementine closed her eyes and leaned back against the door, “I shoot.”
The other three stared at her, before Gill leaned towards her, “Like what?”
“Guns, a bow, some other things.”
“Do you have a gun?”
“Used to.”
“What happened to it?”
“I dropped it.”
“Where?”
“In front of a homeless guy.” Clementine opened her eyes and glared at Gill.
“What the fuck are you doing here?” Demanded a gruff voice.
The group of four turned and looked at the source of the voice. A scruffy looking man in a sleeveless shirt stood in front of them, he looked like some strange survival expert. He had a crossbow in his arms, Clementine frowned and leaned closer.
“Daryl?”
The man frowned, before looking at Clementine, “Aw, shit.”
Clementine leaned back against the door, “What are you doing here?”
“I work here, why are you here?” Retorted Daryl, slinging his crossbow over his shoulder.
“Detention.”
Daryl looked at the other three students, before groaning, “Please tell me you didn’t come out here alone.”
The four children stared at him, getting a curse from Daryl, “There’re wild animals around these parts, I’ve had to chase a few coyotes away from here.”
“They’re gone now, right?” Asked Gill, nervously glancing around them.
“Obviously, I wouldn’t be here is they weren’t.” Grumbled Daryl, stepping past the small group, “What’re you doing with those salt licks?”
The small group glanced between each other, “We’re supposed to bring them here, aren’t we?” Asked Clementine, getting a snort from Daryl.
“Nope.”
Daryl unlocked the barn and led them inside, six horses were quietly eating their food, ignoring the new arrivals.
“If you’re here, then Mr ‘I’m the big man in charge’ wants you to clean out the pens.” Said Daryl, grabbing some shovels and handing them to them.
“You mean to tell me; I didn’t need to lug this around with me?!” Demanded Clementine, dropping the salt lick to the floor.
“Yep.”
F
“Okay, I love horses,” Said Becca, “but this is the worst!”
Clementine bit her tongue, shovelling a pile a manure into a wheelbarrow. Without thinking, she stopped and rolled her sleeves us, revealing a smattering of scars. Including one long, jagged scar that looked like a chunk of her arm had been torn out.
“What the fuck?”
Clementine looked at Becca, Sarah and Gill stopping and staring at Clementine’s forearms as well.
“What?”
“What the fuck happened to your arm?!” Demanded Becca, making Clementine look down.
“Animals.”
“What animal does that?” Exclaimed Becca, pointing at the large scar on Clementine’s arm.
“Are you seriously asking me this, while we’re all standing in shit?” Demanded Clementine, grabbing her shovel from where she left it.
Becca, upon seeing Gill frantically wave his hand in front of his throat, dropped the subject. They all resumed shovelling the manure. Clementine grunted slightly as her shovel caught on the floor of the barn. The wood splintered, making Clementine slip and land in a heap of manure.
Almost immediately, Becca and Gill started laughing and Clementine threw manure at them. Within seconds, the four were throwing manure and hay at each other, until a stray handful of dung hit Daryl square in the chest.
Daryl looked down at the muck covering his chest, “I think that’s enough for today, call your parents so you can get clean clothes.”
The four all looked at each other, before hurrying out of the barn.
“I thought he was going to go apeshit.” Gasped Gill, as Clementine wiped her hands on her jeans.
“Did you mean to make a pun?” Asked Clementine, Sarah snickering quietly as she wiped manure off her glasses.
“How do you know Mr Dixon?” Asked Becca, looking at Clementine.
“I got lost for a little bit,” Said Clementine, “Daryl found me and, after giving me a brief and unsuccessful lesson on how to defend myself, took care of me.”
“Was he the one who gave you that nasty scar?” Asked Sarah, glancing at Clementine.
“No, I got that from a dog called Sam,” Answered Clementine, “he literally tore my arm apart, so I was forced to kill him.”
“It must’ve hurt.” Remarked Becca, getting a wince from Clementine.
“Yeah, I wouldn’t advise stitching your own arm up.” Muttered Clementine, absently rubbing her arm.
“Does anyone have a phone on them?” Asked Gill, scratching the back of his head, “I kinda left mine at home.”
“I don’t have one.” Said Clementine.
“Shel took mine.”
“I think it’s in my bag.” Said Sarah, as they reached the school, “Our gym clothes should be in our lockers.”
Clementine groaned.
“What is it?” Asked Gill, looking in Clementine’s direction.
“I don’t have gym clothes.”
“We’ll take from lost property.” Said Becca, as they climbed the steps, “I just hope the showers are open.”
“They should be.” Mumbled Gill, flicking some dung off his hand.
Clementine ignored Sarah and Becca’s shrieks as the water hit them. She rolled her shoulders, wincing as her left shoulder twinged in pain. She absently brushed her fingers over the bullet scar. Becca whistled and slid a small body wash bottle under the cubical wall.
“Here, since you probably don’t have any.”
“Thanks.”
A few minutes later, the three girls were waiting for Gill.
“What’s taking him so long?” Grumbled Clementine, absently rubbing her arms.
They’d taken a plain t-shirt and shorts for Clementine, she had to place her hat with the rest of her dirty clothes.
“Do you think he’s, you know,” Smirked Becca, “‘relieving tension’?”
Clementine and Sarah pulled a face, “That’s not a mental image I wanted.” Grumbled Clementine, pinching the bridge of her nose.
“No, I was getting shit out of my hair.” Said Gill, appearing behind them.
“Jesus fucking Christ!” Gasped Becca, as Clementine stiffened and relaxed.
“You were really quiet.” Said Sarah, gnawing at her nails.
“Okay.” Gill raised an eyebrow, “I think we’re just free to go, see you tomorrow.”
Clementine waved at him, before she and the other two girls went their separate ways.
F
Rebecca raised an eyebrow at Clementine, “Alright, surprise me.”
“We were cleaning the school’s stables and we, kinda, got into a fight.” Winced Clementine, nervously grabbing her arm, “Not a punching fight, more a throwing shit at each other fight.”
Rebecca raised her other eyebrow, as Clementine nervously fidgeted, “You were ‘throwing shit’ at each other, why exactly?”
“I, er, might’ve slipped in it and then threw some at Gill and Becca.” Mumbled Clementine, scratching the back of her head.
Rebecca sighed, “I’m assuming you washed at the school?”
Clementine nodded, “Yeah, Sarah got involved too.”
“Well, I hope you had fun, Clem,” Said Rebecca, rubbing Clementine’s shoulder, “I think it’s good you’re making friends.”
“Friend.” Corrected Clementine, “Becca and Gill are just acquaintances.”
“Sure.” Smirked Rebecca, walking over to the cot in the corner, “Acquaintances.”
F
Clementine winced as a horse kicked Daryl in the chest, she didn’t understand how Daryl could wear sleeveless shirts in the middle of winter. Sarah sniffed, prompting Becca to hand her a tissue. An almost inaudible sneeze made Clementine sigh.
The riding club had just left the horses tied up outside the barn, leaving seven cold, hungry horses waiting for Daryl and his four new helpers. Becca and Gill were now considered friends by Clementine and Sarah, Becca ceasing her bullying of Sarah and Gill hanging out with them in his spare time.
“Right,” Said Daryl, rubbing his chest and guiding the horse back into the barn, “I should be able to handle things from here, go back inside.”
The four hurried towards a small cabin, before Clementine heard a growl. She froze, before slowly turning around, and found herself face-to-face with a coyote. The animal snapped and snarled at her, Clementine found herself unable to move. Then the animal shot towards her.
Clementine suddenly found herself on the ground, with a coyote trying to tear her arm off. Blood fell down onto her face, the coyote’s claws tearing at her coat. Clementine found herself thinking she was going to die, before Gill charged at the coyote and hit it with a shovel. Becca and Sarah grabbed Clementine and hurriedly pulled Clementine into the cabin.
A gunshot rung out, making everyone freeze. The coyote dropped to the ground, with Gill standing with the shovel above his head. Daryl ran over to them, stopping when he spotted a man holding a rifle.
“Holy shit.” Swore the man, hurrying forwards, “Luke, get your ass over here!”
A younger man appeared, freezing at the sight of the coyote, “You killed it?!”
“It tore open a girl’s arm, it needed to be put down!” Growled the man, crouching in front of Clementine.
Clementine cradled her arm, her throat tight. The man placed his rifle on the ground, and looked up at Daryl and Luke, “We need to get her to a hospital.”
“Why?” Asked Luke, frowning, “We can treat her here.”
“No, we can’t.” Said Daryl, nudging the coyote with his foot, “Look around it’s mouth, the damn things got rabies.”
Luke swore, “Pete, doesn’t Nick work around here?”
“Does Nick have a car?”
Luke remained silent.
“We can take her back to the school and have an ambulance come out to her.” Said Daryl, as Luke quickly scooped Clementine into his arms. The girl too focused on her arm to notice.
The group quickly made their way to the school, another staff member spotting them and called the emergency services when they saw the state of Clementine’s arm. Clementine found it difficult to stay awake, she groaned, before passing out.
F
Clementine woke up in a cold room, she could hear Larry banging on a door and Lilly telling him to calm down.
“I knew we never should’ve taken that brat in.” Snarled Larry, shooting a hate filled glare at Clementine.
“Dad, that’s not going to help.” Said Lilly, not looking at Clementine.
“It’s not?!” Demanded Larry, “If that brat didn’t ask to come here, we wouldn’t’ve had Mark fed to us!”
“Clementine didn’t know they were cannibals, Dad.” Sighed Lilly, sighing through her nose.
“The hell she didn’t!” Bellowed Larry, “Why else would she bring us here? Why, why-”
Larry grabbed his chest, his eyes widening, before he collapsed to the ground.
“Dad?” Asked Lilly, “DAD!”
Clementine fearfully watched as Lilly tried and failed to resuscitate Larry.
“L-Lilly?” Asked Clementine, timidly.
Lilly stiffened, as if she just remembered that Clementine was there.
“You…” Snarled Lilly, rounding on Clementine, “This is all your fault!”
She backhanded Clementine to the ground and started beating her, grabbing anything she could use as a weapon. Clementine curled into a ball with her arms covering her head. Lilly grabbed Clementine’s left hand and grabbed the ring finger and bent it backwards.
Clementine screamed and pleaded with Lilly, only to get kicked in the face. Once the finger was mutilated to a satisfactory degree to Lilly, she then grabbed Clementine’s throat and started to strangle her. The door to the meat locker was flung open, and one of the cannibals barged in and grabbed Lilly, before dragging her out and slamming the meat lockers door.
F
Clementine woke with a gasp. She raised a shaky hand to her face, her eyes focusing on her mutilated ring finger. She didn’t know what happened to Lilly, but Daryl said he didn’t find her or her remains in the house. She remembered Daryl’s friend that she’d stayed with for a couple of months after her three weeks with Daryl. Rick had put up with a lot from her, she remembered that he was kind, and that he had a son.
Rick and his family had to move, which then placed her with Jane.
Clementine shook her head, dispelling all thoughts she had of the past. She didn’t even know why those memories came up. She looked down at herself, before realising that she was in a hospital bed, with her right arm stitched up and bandaged. Then Clementine remembered why those memories came up. She was with Jane when Sam bit her.
The door opened and a tired looking Rebecca stepped into the room. She glanced at the bed and spotted Clementine sitting up.
“Clementine?” Asked Rebecca, before she crossed the room and pulled Clementine close to her, “Jesus, I thought you’d never wake up.”
“W-what do you mean?” Asked Clementine, her voice raspy.
“Clem, you, you’ve been unconscious for a week.” Said Rebecca, gently caressing the back of Clementine’s neck.
“W-what?”
“Clem,” Rebecca sighed, “you had an allergic reaction, presumably to one of the meds they gave you.”
Clementine slowly looked around the room, Rebecca said she’d been asleep for a week, meaning it was almost Christmas. She tried to adjust herself, only to groan when she felt a sharp, burning pain in her chest and right arm.
“Careful,” Murmured Rebecca, gently helping Clementine, “that animal’s claws were pretty deep, I’m amazed you didn’t feel them when you woke up.”
Clementine let out a strangled groan. Rebecca finished helping Clementine, before sitting on the side of the bed.
“A new family moved in next door,” Said Rebecca, gently, “I’m not sure about the man, but his girlfriend and son seem to be alright.”
“That’s nice, was anyone else hurt?” Asked Clementine, looking up at Rebecca.
“No, but you were lucky,” Responded Rebecca, “apparently, that animal had rabies.”
“What’s that?”
“Rabies? It’s a disease that, if not treated, can kill you.” Said Rebecca, gently, “Although, we were told you were lucky to have just been put in a coma.”
“Did,” Clementine swallowed, “Did they say what caused it?”
“The said something about opioids,” Answered Rebecca, frowning, “Clem, is there something we should know about?”
Clementine was silent, making Rebecca sigh.
“Are you still having trouble looking at my file?”
Clementine spoke so suddenly, she made Rebecca jump, “Yeah, why?”
Clementine coughed, looking over at the table next to her bed, “Do you have a pen and some paper?”
F
Joan frowned as she scrutinized the piece of paper, it was definitely Clementine’s handwriting, “May I ask what prompted her to write this out?”
“She had an allergic reaction to the morphine they gave her.” Said Alvin, leaning forwards, “She said it would answer most of the questions the doctors asked.”
Joan sighed, picking up the handset for her phone and dialling. The phone rang a couple of times, before someone answered, “Natasha, could you bring Kate up here, please?”
Alvin frowned, wondering who Kate was, while Joan placed the phone down, “This will probably take a while, would you like a coffee?”
F
Clementine gagged, emptying her stomach into a paper bowl. Rebecca held onto her shoulder, while a nurse removed the plate of food that triggered the reaction. Clementine coughed, groaning as she spat out remnants of her last meal. She’d never look at chicken the same way again.
“You okay, Clem?” Asked Rebecca, gently rubbing Clementine’s back.
Clementine struggled to speak but nodded. Rebecca pursed her lips, not believing her, “Clem, you know you can tell me anything.”
Clementine swallowed and shook her head, mumbling “I don’ wanna eat Mark.”
Rebecca frowned at how small Clementine’s voice was, wondering who Mark was.
R
Alvin stared at the document, struggling to believe what he’d just read, “Jesus.”
“Perhaps you can see why we don’t want people to see this unless they’re seriously considering adoption.” Said Joan, silently resigning herself for the inevitable fall out.
“Do, do any of those people still have contact with Clem?” Asked Alvin, looking at Joan.
“Mr Dixon works at her school as a part-time groundskeeper, Mrs Sheffield has a no contact order against her, Mr Carver is, understandably, currently being detained, Ms Fleece has all but vanished of the face of the earth,” Listed Joan, looking at the list of names, “The Carter’s went through a sudden bereavement. The Saul’s had a baby of their own. I hope you don’t mind if I stop there, all the relevant details are in the file.”
Alvin nodded, shakily picking the folder up, “I keep this, right?”
“Yes,” Confirmed Joan, looking up at Alvin, “I suppose this changes things.”
“Yeah, probably.” Said Alvin, heading for the door, “I, er, I suppose we’ll be in touch.”
R
“So, you can’t eat pork?” Asked Becca, through a mouthful of chips.
“The smell set me off.” Said Clementine, her voice hoarse.
“I still can’t believe you caught a cold, in hospital.” Muttered Gill, looking down at Sarah’s book, “Are you going to be discharged soon?”
“Hopefully, they might keep me in here so I don’t pass it on to AJ.”
“AJ’ll be fine,” Dismissed Rebecca, coming into the room, “he’s up to date with his vaccinations, the doctor’s can’t say the same for you, though.”
“My parents didn’t believe in them.” Shrugged Clementine, trying to hide how nervous she was.
“They managed to give some standard ones while you were asleep,” Rebecca told her, “They cleared it with Alvin and I, but you’ll need a few more before they’re ready to discharge you.”
“When are they going to do them?” Asked Clementine, nervously scratching her unbandaged arm.
“They’ve got them planned for this afternoon, hopefully they’ll discharge you tomorrow.” Answered Rebecca, before spotted Becca with her cheeks bulging out, “Becca, it might be a good idea to swallow.”
“That’s what she said.” Muttered Gill, making Rebecca glare at him and Becca to start choking.
Without looking up from her book, Sarah thumped Becca, causing her to expel the chips from her throat.
“Dude, gross.” Grumbled Clementine, as Becca coughed.
Rebecca took a deep breath and sighed, hopefully Sarita wasn’t having any trouble with AJ.
R
Clementine sluggishly got out of the car, her hand loosely gripping her hat. Alvin had shown Rebecca her file and, while they hadn’t said anything, they were treating her as gently as possible.
“I thought vaccines were supposed to make you feel better.” Grumbled Clementine, struggling to stay awake.
“They make you feel horrible for a couple of days,” Said Alvin, as Rebecca went over to their neighbour, “but, it’ll pass.”
“You mean like old people do?”
Alvin snorted, “Don’t let your grandmother hear you say that.”
Clementine frowned, confused, “Both my grandparents are dead.”
Alvin looked down at Clementine, who was struggling to stay awake.
“Let’s talk about it after you’ve had some sleep.” Suggested Alvin, getting a small nod from Clementine. Rebecca re-joined them with a sleeping AJ, as Alvin guided Clementine into the house, the girl tripping slightly on the step.
After seeing Clementine to her room and putting AJ to bed, Alvin and Rebecca dropped themselves onto the sofa.
“I’m assuming we’re not going to talk about the other common names in that file.” Said Rebecca, making Alvin sigh.
“It was bad enough to know she was with Carver, but I didn’t expect to see Jane or Troy’s names.” Admitted Alvin, “You don’t think that Kenny in the file is, you know, the guy that moved in next door?”
“I don’t know.” Sighed Rebecca, “But, she was abducted, twice. Sure, neither situation lasted long, but one was with a psychopath and the other was with a family of cannibals.”
“I’m surprised she’s still alive.”
“Do you think,” Asked Rebecca, “Do you think that, if she’d come straight to us after the Everetts, do you think she could’ve stolen from us?”
“No,” Answered Alvin, taking his glasses off, “I wouldn’t be surprised if she tried to steal those things in an attempt to get back to one of the families she had before.”
The pair sat in silence, Rebecca resting her head on Alvin’s shoulder.
“What’s ‘Duck’ like?” Asked Alvin, making Rebecca glance up at him.
“He’s like a six-year-old on a constant sugar rush.”
“Best leave it a week before introducing Clementine to him then.”
“Hmm.”
R
Clementine nervously tugged at the hem of the dress Alvin and Rebecca bought her, “I feel stupid.”
“You look nice.” Responded Rebecca, adjusting AJ as Alvin knocked on their neighbour’s door.
“Why are we doing this?” Asked Clementine, her breath coming out in white puffs.
“Because, they have a son your age, and they watched AJ while you were in hospital.” Answered Rebecca, as the door opened.
“Alvin, Rebecca,” Greeted an Indian woman, “I’m glad you could make it, I hope your daughter’s alright.”
“Yeah, she’s all awake and aware now,” Chuckled Alvin, guiding Clementine forwards, “This is Clem.”
“Hello, Clem,” Said the woman, “my name’s Sarita, I like your hat.”
“Thanks.”
Sarita blinked, before looking up at Alvin, “Not used to strangers, I take it.”
“Clem’s a bit guarded when it comes to new people.” Alvin apologised, as Clementine winced.
“It’s fine, Ken’s similar in that regard.” Sarita brushed it off, her right hand twisting off as she ushered them in, "Ah, shit. I'm sorry, this’ll take me a minute.”
“Don’t worry about that, Darlin’,” Said a male voice that made Clementine freeze, “I knew a guy who used his arm to open a door from another room.”
“Kenny?”
Kenny stopped, looked down and gaped at Clementine, “Clementine?”
There was a gasp, followed by someone running into the room, colliding with Clementine and knocking her to the floor. A pair of pale blue eyes stared down into Clementine’s amber.
“Duck, you’re kneeling on my spleen.”

thinking about Daryl Dixon dating a book worm girly . . . they would meet on the Greene farm. She was a good friend of Hershel’s son Shawn, and stayed and lived with the family when the outbreak started. She would spend most of her time with Hershel and Beth or with her face in a book . . . she would like to be alone a lot, having her own spot on the farm away from the house where she could peacefully read and not have to worry about interacting with anyone, a spot that used to be her and Shawn’s . . . also a spot where Daryl decides to set up his own small camp away from everyone . . . well everyone but her. He would be hesitant at first to approach her when he gets back from another search for Sofia, seeing her leaning up against a tree with a thick book in her lap. He’d seen her around a few times in the short amount of time he’s been at the farm, only with Beth or Hershel. He’d ask her what she wants, assuming that she was waiting for him. She’d apologize, saying that she just wanted to be away from everyone, and surprising the both of them he said with a grunt she could stay as long as she didn’t touch his shit or start reading aloud. And for the first time he sees a small smile on her lips . . . but it was quickly covered when she lifted her book up from her lap.
Time-skip to after the farm falls and before they find the prison. They would become closer . . . well as close as two antisocial and closed off people could get. It was more like they found comfort in each other’s silent presence. She was so good at being quiet and finding her way around in the woods that she would often join daryl tracking/hunting. The first time daryl sees her smile since the farm is when he gives her a book he found in the trunk of an abandoned car. Since she couldn’t carry a bunch of books since they were traveling, every time she was done with a book he’d try and search for another to switch it with . . . would let her quietly mumble about the book she was reading when she couldn’t sleep and he was on watch. Would walk next to her as she walks n reads, making sure she wouldn’t trip.
When they make it to the prison, he’d bring her back multiple books whenever he goes out looking for supplies, and over time the small desk she had in her cell was cluttered with books . . . all from daryl. He would let her ramble about her books whenever they were on watch in the watch tower, him standing up and looking out while she comfortably sat on the floor with her book. He’d realize his feelings for her at the strange and unfamiliar feeling he felt in his chest as he watched her read a book to Carl and Beth who was holding Judith.
Time-skip to when they are now together, he would come back late from his shift at the look out tower in the prison and would check on her in there cell, expecting to see her sleeping since it was late . . . Instead she was curled up in her bed, technically now there bed, reading with a lit candle next to her. Not wanting to sleep without him by her side . . . and wanting to also finish another chapter. Whenever daryl would wake up from a nightmare she would quietly read to him, taking him out of his tortured mind and into the lovely world of her book. Whenever she was too focused on a book he’d surprise her with a kiss on her cheek or lips . . . completely stealing her attention. All she would have to do is bat her eyelashes and say please and daryl would fold . . . reading to her when she’s to tired to read herself, she feels so safe and warm when she’s in his arms as she listens to him read to her . . . he always kisses her forehead when he notices she fell asleep, tucking her bookmark a few pages back, knowing that she probably wouldn’t remember the last few pages he read to her.

One small change that could’ve improved TWDG seasons 2-4
I love AJ, I love Rebecca and I love Alvin. But I honestly think season 2, ANF and the Final season would’ve been better if instead of giving us completely new characters and a completely new baby, we should’ve gotten Christa and Omid’s baby instead and Clem taking care of him and guiding him.
Here is how I could see this playing out
When Christa and Omid are talking about names, when Clem is given a choice about names, one option would be Lee Jr or LJ for short. Christa and Omid would be sad after hearing this but would love it
Omid doesn’t die(at least not yet) because I would not put them in a situation where Clem would allow some stranger to get ahold of her gun and be made to feel responsible for Omid’s death
I would replace the Cabin group with the 400 Days characters because I think it’s complete bullshit that Vince, Wyatt, Shel, Becca and Russell would ever trust someone like Carver and they just wasted them in cameo roles. When I first played 400 days I legit thought we got our new cast for the next season who Clem would work with in the next season, then they are never used but we are stuck with Bonnie. As for if we didn’t have the group join Tavia? Simple, Tavia’s people won’t take no for an answer and they are on the run regardless
Clem, Christa and Omid would be separated and Christa would be under the care with the 400 Days group. They are all suspicious of Clem when she arrives at their cabin, but when Christa tells them who she is, they let Clem go to Christa.
As for how they would be in this season. Vince takes the role of Luke/Carlos in the game. Russell and Becca are wary around Clem but come around, Wyatt is the chill older brother and Shel is the mom friend.
Episode 2, instead of meeting Carver, we meet Troy(as was teased) same situation but he says “my boss needs me to find them”
When we get to the ski lodge, instead of meeting Kenny, we would meet Omid. Happy reunion between Clem, Omid and Christa
Kenny would take the role of Carver. Now before ya’ll come at me with pitchforks and torches, Kenny was supposedly planned to be the antagonist character for the second season. Gavin Hammon revealed this during his OMG!Con 2015 Q&A Panel alongside Melissa Hutchinson. He said that Kenny was supposed to be the leader of the community Luke and the cabin survivors fled from, so Kenny would be in the Carver role. I think it could’ve worked. Losing his family, losing Lee and nearly dying to save Ben or Christa could’ve pushed him over the edge.
Episode 3, you are tempted in choosing between your new friends or our old friend Kenny. But Clem realizes the Kenny she knew is long gone
Kenny blames Clem for everything. In Kenny’s POV, if Clem didn’t listen to The Stranger, Lee wouldn’t have gotten bitten, he wouldn’t have had to risk his life to try to save an already dying Ben or save Christa and they wouldn’t have lost the boat, they all would’ve gotten away. But due to Clem’s foolish childish desire to see her parents, everything fell apart. Again, this is Kenny’s perspective in this version
When the walkie-talkie plan goes down south, Vince is caught and as Clem prepares to turn herself in, Omid takes the blame is the one who is beat to a pulp
Seeing as Kenny has no attachment like Carver had for Rebecca, he does not catch them in the act(you’ll see why later) they are able to free themselves. Troy still gets shot in the dick by Jane
In place of Carlos, Shel is the one who gets shot and eaten. Becca runs
Episode 4. They all make it to the meet up spot. The deal to get ready for the baby happens as planned. Clem and Russell find Shel and Wyatt. While Becca was not sheltered like Sarah, she finds apart of herself died with Shel, but Clem is able to get her to snap out. I like to think Clem, Becca and Russell would begin to have a close friendship rather than Clem and Jane. In place of Arvo, it’s Eddie. Christa gives birth, but she dies. Before dying, Christa tells Clem to promise that she will take care of LJ no matter what, Clem promises. Near the end Eddie would bring back survivors from Kenny’s camp. Kenny has them surrounded. Bonnie tries to talk Kenny out of this and telling him they can all work together to survive. Kenny looks like he’s come to his senses, but raises the gun and shoots Bonnie.
Episode 5. Kenny is hunting everyone down. He wants to kill Clem and Omid and take the baby for himself. The last survivors are Clem, LJ, Becca and Russell. Omid sacrifices himself to save Clem. Clem shoots Kenny and for a brief moment, the old Kenny resurfaces and realizes the horrible things he’s done and apologizes. We would have a choice to forgive him, say Kenny will see Duck and Katja or to condemn Kenny
If I had my way ANF would be about Clem, LJ, Becca and Russell in Wellington, but let’s say it happens as per canon. Russell dies in the raid on Wellington. Becca stays in RIchmond and Clem goes on to find LJ
The Final season happens, but LJ knows about his parents Christa and Omid and Lee. Clem would always remind LJ that they’d all be proud of him.

PART 2 COMING TOMORROW!
Masterlist | Tag Lists | Ask Me Anything | SPN Blog
A gasp falls past your lips as you sit straight up in bed. The cool air sends chills over your body as it touches the layer of sweat that broke out in your sleep. “What the hell?” You pant, “What?” The confusion of what your dream consisted of fogged everything else in your brain. Good luck getting through today.
You pull your shirt and jeans on, lace up your boots, and head downstairs. Rosita’s sitting at the bar finishing off the apple in her hand,” You okay?” She asks with a head tilt, “I heard you talking to yourself this morning. Did something happen?”
Rounding the island in the middle of the kitchen, you shake your head, “I uh… no. I couldn’t find one of my boots is all.” Oh yeah , real convincing, you mentally kick yourself, glad your back is to her.
She raises her brow, not quite buying it, but she doesn’t really care enough to press any further. “Oh, okay. whatever .”
You look around the kitchen, “Hey, are there any of those apples left?”
“In the basket.” She says pointing towards the sink.
“Thanks,” you grab one and head for the door. She raises her hand and mumbles something as she walks off in the other direction. The sun hits your skin as you step out onto the porch, and you sigh, grateful for a beautiful day after the rain you’ve had.
Just as you take a bite of your apple, Rick comes strolling by. He smiles up to you waving, “Mornin’ Y/N.” You just about choke on the piece of apple at the sight, and have to fight the onslaught of images from your dream that are replaying. That damn smirk. He was so cocky in the dream. Holy hell. Today’s gonna be fun. You do your best to stifle the heat flooding to your cheeks and the one settling in your core, offering a simple wave back.
As soon as he’s gone, you take a hesitant step off the porch and head over to your post at the lookout out front. It’s a quiet morning, not much activity. After about an hour, someone climbs up the ladder to the platform, “Hey! How’s it looking today?”, the familiar drawl of Rick’s voice triggering new thoughts. Echoes of the filthy things he’d said start floating around in your head. There’s an internal battle happening. You absolutely don’t want to make any sort of eye contact right now, but that’d be a dead giveaway, and he’d ask you what’s wrong.
Finally, you look up to see Rick’s crystal blue eyes trained on you. Oh shit bad idea. Bad idea. “Uh.. pretty quiet. Only seen one walker.”
“Good,” he smiles, placing a hand on your shoulder,”Let me know if that changes.” Your breath hitches as you think about the feel of his rough, calloused hands against your bare skin.
Later in the afternoon, there’s a meeting about the upcoming run in the morning. Rick’s making it impossible to focus on any of it. If you didn’t know any better, you’d say he knows and is messing with you. He keeps stealing glances, and god the way he looks at you. As much as you try to fight it, you can’t help but to squirm under his gaze, a rosy tinge staining your cheeks.
Maggie starts picking up on it, watching you more closely. “Alright so it’s settled,” the clap of Rick’s hands snapping you back to reality, “Daryl, Abraham, and Sasha will head in from the East, Y/N and I from the West.” Your eyes go so wide they probably look like they’re about to pop straight out of your head, and Maggie caught every bit of it. You’d been so out of it, you weren’t aware that was the arrangement being discussed. How the hell am I supposed to be trapped in a car with him for hours?!
While you’re walking back to your house from the meeting, and hand grabs your arm, yanking you between two of the other homes on the block. “Maggie! What the hell!?”
She leans in, “Yeah exactly, what the hell?!”
“Excuse me?” You say, trying to play innocent.
Her eyes scan your face, and then land right on your eyes. They could damn sure see straight into your soul, “Oh I saw the way you were acting in there. Did something happen between you and Rick?” She’s not really angry about there potentially being something going on, but rather that you haven’t told her. She quickly became like a sister to you after you’d joined the group. You tell each other everything.
You look to the ground, kicking a stray rock around by your feet, “Uh… not exactly.”
She shakes her head, “What does that mean?”
Your cheeks flush for the fifteenth time, “So I had this really vivid dream…”
“Oh, honey.”
“Yea…. and I mean like really vivid and now I can’t look at him or be near him without thinking about it.” You admit.
She sighs, “Well I mean I guess that would explain why you were so weird about going with him. You’ve ridden with him before so I didn’t understand why that was such a big deal.”
You look at her with pleading eyes, “Maggie, how the hell am I supposed to do this?”
She just shrugs, “I don’t know. But it’s not like you can go tell him no. Not now. Not unless you wanna tell him why you can’t be around him.” She starts laughing, “Sorry I can’t ride with you, I think about you-”.
“Shut up.” You punch her in the arm, and walk away, leaving her still giggling in the alley.
The next morning you head to the front gate where cars were being stocked and weapons checked. You bite your lip as the reality of what’s to come sets in. Rick comes up behind you, brushing his hand along your back as he steps towards the car, “You ready?”
“Huh? Oh uh yea.” You look around at pretty much anyone but him, “Good to go.”  Real smooth, Y/N.
He smiles at you, crinkles forming at the corners of his eyes, “Well alright then.” He raises his hand, moving it in a circular motion, “Let’s load up.”
About fifteen minutes into the drive, Rick looks over at you, “Hey, you okay?” His voice conveys genuine concern, not just for the sake of his safety on the run, but for your well being. “You’ve been awful quiet since yesterday.” He rests his hand on your thigh, “Did somethin’ happen?”
Holy shit. Holy shit. Holy shit. “Um, Not. not really. I just. I’ve just been doing a lot of thinking.”
“Oh yea? Anything I can help with?” Oh god, he did not just ask that. “I mean. I know I’m not Maggie, but I can do my best.”
You look out the window desperately trying to hide the ever growing redness appearing on your face. After a second of regaining your composure, you finally speak up. “Thanks, but I already talked to her about it. Not much to do honestly.” You can feel his eyes on you, “It was just a strange dream.”
Rick’s a smart man. He’s picked up on all your little moments. Truth is, he just likes to watch you try to hide it. “Alright. I get that. Should the need arise, I’m here”, he says rubbing your thigh lightly.
The rest of the ride spent in mutual silence, each of you stealing glances at the other. The time for squirming, and nerves has passed when you turn the corner about two miles out from the target. Game faces have to be on. There’s no room for anything else.
No casualties, no shit for once, just a successful run. “Meet y’all back home?” Daryl asks as he shuts the hatch on the SUV.
Rick looks around, “Nah, saw a couple little places that I wanna check out.” You can’t help but give him the wtf are you talking about look. There was nothing out there. “Go ahead back, we’ll be back soon.” Daryl nods in agreement.
Once they’re gone you turn to Rick with a boldness you’ve lacked in the past 24 hours, “What the hell are you talking about? There’s nothing out here, Rick.”
“Oh, I know.” He has a smug look on his face when he turns back toward you. “I wanna talk more about this dream you had.” Fuck. “It’s got you really messed up, huh?”
“ I wouldn’t say-”
He shakes his head, “Y/N, please. I’ve noticed a lot over the last 24 hours,” He steps towards you, “You won’t look me in the eye, hell, you avoid me if you can.” He grabs your chin between his thumb and index finger forcing you to look at him, “Oh and this is my favorite. That nice shade of pink in your cheeks.” His eyes scan over your face, “Tell me, Y/N, was I in your dream?”
Damn cocky asshole. There’s no use in lying, he’ll see right through it. “Yes.”
He smirks, running his free hand over the back of your head, “Mhmm. I could see it the minute I saw you in the meeting. You wouldn’t look if I was looking at you, but oh when you thought I looked away, those eyes were begging me to fuck you.” Your breath catches as he backs you up against the van, “Is that what you were dreaming about?”
His strong arms trap you against the warm metal, suddenly making you feel small. “I…mmm.”  A small escapes your lips as his travel along your neck.
The scratch of his beard causes a delightful shiver to run down your spine , “Use your words, babygirl.”
“Y-yes.”
He pulls back, head tilted, “Yes, what? I wanna hear you say it.”
“Yes. I dreamed of you” His brow raises, and he stares you down, not satisfied with your answer, “fucking me.”
That damn smirk spreads across his face once more, “There it is.” He shifts his weight, and places his hands on either side of your head. “Do you want that? Do you want me to fuck you?”
“Yes,” Your voice barely above a whisper, “Please, Rick.”
A low growl rips from his chest as his lips capture yours in a demanding kiss. There’s fire behind every movement. Has he been thinking about this too? As if he read your mind, he breaks the kiss, and spins you around so that your back is to him, “I’ve wanted this for so long. You don’t know how hard it’s been to watch you everyday not being able to do a damn thing about it.” Rough hands come up to cup your breasts as his lips and teeth drag over the sensitive skin of your neck. “God, it took everything in me not to take you right then in that meeting yesterday.”
Gasps fall past your lips as his hips grind into yours, letting you feel just how bad he wants you. “Rick…”
His finger runs over the soft flesh of your lips and he lets out a groan, “Oh sweetheart…” Breath fans over your ear, “I don’t think I’ve ever heard a sweeter sound than that.” His deft fingers make quick work of undoing your belt and jeans, “Get in the van.”

Between Reunions 3
[Reunions]
[First] [Previous] [Next]
Between Reunions 3
“Are you nervous?” Asked Clementine, as she and Eleanor helped Kate into her dress.
“Clem, I’ve been married before.” Responded Kate, getting a snort from Clementine.
“Yeah, to a dick.” Snorted Clementine, getting a disapproving look from Eleanor.
“Clementine.” Chastised Eleanor, getting an eye roll from Clementine.
“What?” Asked Clementine, “It’s not like you’re disagreeing with me.”
“It might be true, but it might be an idea to not speak ill of the dead.” Said Eleanor, getting another snort from Clementine.
“Do you think that’s why they suddenly got up and started walking?” Huffed Clementine, starting to laugh, “Someone’s grandson said they were a dick and they took it personally?”
Clementine continued to laugh, with Eleanor and Kate joining her.
BR
“I’m still amazed you managed to get this thing running.” Said Gabe, as Gill adjusted the video camera.
“It just needed new batteries.”
“Huh.” Gabe looked over at Javi, who was fidgeting with the black jacket he’d found.
“Did your Dad fidget this much when he married Kate?” Asked Gill, glancing at Gabe.
“I can’t remember,” Answered Gabe, frowning, “I was a little kid at the time, and Mariana was asking where mom went.”
“That sucks.” Said Gill, getting a wince from Gabe.
“That’s my biggest fear,” Confessed Gabe, “having kids and then getting myself killed. I’m afraid of Clementine having to explain to them why I’m not coming back.”
Gill glanced at Gabe, “Your dad never addressed it, did he?”
“Not out loud.” Answered Gabe, “He took her pictures down, he put her things into storage. When I asked, he just said she wasn’t coming back.” Gabe swallowed, “I suppose, his reaction made it worse, he just, shut off. Part of me thinks he only remarried so Mariana and I had someone to call mom.”
“Guys,” Everyone looked towards the doors, Gabe felt his heart flutter at the sight of Clementine in a dress, “Kate’s almost here.”
BR
Violet sighed as she trudged towards the fishing shed, Tenn trailed behind her. She looked around, trying to find a weird walker that Willy had spotted a few months ago. Normally she wouldn’t bother, but Willy had mention it was walking normally when he last saw it.
“Do you think Clementine and AJ lived?” Asked Tenn, getting Violet’s attention.
“I hope so, but they probably didn’t.” Answered Violet, as they heard someone coming up behind them.
“What’s going on?” Asked Louis, frowning at them.
“We’re talking.” Said Violet, “It’s what we do to pass the time.”
Louis huffed, before looking around, “Do you think Willy was making up the Walker story?”
“Could’ve been,” Shrugged Violet, “He probably got bored. What are you doing out here?”
“Walking.” Louis avoided answering.
“That’s stupid.” Retorted Violet, as Brody appeared.
“They’re not caught in any traps, maybe they wander into a herd.” Brody froze when she saw Tenn and Violet, “Oh, I didn’t see you there.”
“Who’s they?” Demanded Violet, as Tenn looked around.
Brody nervously glanced at Louis, before answering, “Clementine and AJ.”
Violet felt a burst of anger, “What?”
“We, we thought it’d be nice if they,” Brody swallowed, “if they were laid to rest.”
Violet took a step towards them, her face like thunder, before a gunshot sent her to the ground. A man stepped out of the bushes, pointing a gun at them. Louis grabbed Violet’s bow, freezing when the man aimed at him.
“Y-your supplies.” Rushed the man, his hand shaking, “Now.”
“We don’t hav-” Louis was sent backwards, as a bullet hit him in the shoulder.
“Don’t lie!” Shrieked the man, as Violet groaned and moved.
“Wha-” Violet rolled over, revealing her left eye completely destroyed.
“Your supplies,” his hand continued to shake as he aimed at Violet, “or she dies.”
The group of four didn’t move, as a Walker stumbled up behind the man, and buried its teeth into the back of his neck. Brody quickly grabbed chairles and bashed the Walker’s head in. Looking at Louis and Violet, she quickly pulled them up.
“We need to get home,” Said Brody, as Tenn supported Louis, “now.”
BR
Clementine pushed a bucket towards Kate, not looking up from her book.
“Thanks.” Said Kate, her head still in the bucket.
“As long as you’re not throwing up on me, don’t mention it.” Responded Clementine, stretching her remaining leg out.
“How’re things holding up?”
“Well,” Clementine looked up from her book, “Conrad’s still a bit pissed about that fire we had a couple weeks back, Eleanor and Lingard are arguing over the filing system and Gabe’s being really vague about something.”
Kate was silent, making Clementine worry the woman had died. Kate suddenly retching told her that the woman was, in fact, still alive.
“Sounds like a hectic week.” Joked Kate, as Eleanor appeared at the door.
“Clem, you’ve been freed to go.” Said the medic, with Clementine getting up and leaving the room at an almost comical speed.
Kate blearily looked up from her bucket and stared at the door, “What had her in a hurry?”
BR
“Clem, I need you to go with Bonnie.” Said Javi, as Clementine drew close to the group.
Clementine froze, before looking at Javi, “Why?”
“Gill’s seen a walker herd close to the settlement,” Said Javi, “he thinks a whisperer’s leading them.”
“And you need me to tell you if it’s James or not.” Finished Clementine, before looking around, “Right, can you tell Gabe I’ll be a bit late?”
Javi nodded, as Clementine jerked her head towards the gates and set off, with Bonnie trailing after her.
“Right,” Said Bonnie, after they were a few yards from New Richmond, “So, how’re you?”
“Fine.”
“Er, how’s AJ?”
“Fine.”
“Look, Clem,” Bonnie stopped, “I know we didn’t part of the best terms-”
“You left me to die after allowing Arvo to shoot me.” Snapped Clementine, glaring at Bonnie, “You claimed to thinking about AJ, but you left him behind with Kenny. That’s not even starting-”
A crunched made Clementine stop yelling, she cursed herself, before turning and looking at the Walker. The two stared at each other, before they stumbled forwards. Frowning, Clementine swung her prosthetic leg up and kicked the Walker between the legs. Letting out a sputtering groan, James fell to his knees.
“Really?” He whined, trying not to curl into a ball.
“A normal person would’ve said ‘hello’.” Said Clementine, as James struggled to his feet.
Pulling the mask off, James glared at Clementine, “Y’know, you could be a bit more grateful for me leading those herds away.”
Clementine sighed through her nose, “Right, sorry. How many are there?”
“None, currently.” Answered James, as Clementine looked behind him, “There’s a couple that are part of a tree, but it’s otherwise clear.”
Clementine nodded, before jerking her head towards New Richmond, “C’mon, I’ll see if I can convince Javí to give you some food.”
James hummed, as Clementine turned away from him.
“Delta’s moved on from that school, by the way.” Said James, “I heard it was something to do with Negan’s group.”
Clementine stopped, frowning, “The Saviors haven’t been a threat for several months now.”
“Maybe there’s something no one knows about.” Suggested James, side stepping Bonnie, “How’s the kid?”
“AJ?” Clementine glanced back at him, “He’s doing great.”
BR
AJ brought the baseball bat down on the Walker’s head, the knife he’s taped to it becoming stuck in the walking corpse.
“Dude!” Yelled someone, AJ thought it was Jesus, “I think you got him!”
AJ rolled his eyes and gave the Walker one last blow, before walking away from it. The boy looked at the Walkers, and at the living. He saw Gabe stride past him and pull the knife out of the Walker’s head.
Nervously looking around, AJ approached Gabe, “Gabe?”
“Yeah?” Grunted Gabe, shoving the remains of a Walker off a spike.
“Can I go to a friend’s house tonight?”
Gabe froze, before looking at AJ, “You do realise that Clem has the final say in this, right?”
AJ nodded, “But if you’re okay with it, she might let me.”
Gabe sighed, “Okay, I’ll talk to Clem.” AJ smiled, “But, you’re gonna have to help me clear this shit.”
AJ hastily nodded, quickly grabbing a Walker’s severed arm.
BR
“What d’ya think your mom’s doing?” Asked Bobby, a boy around AJ’s age.
“Clementine’s not my mom.” Frowned AJ, “I think she’s spending time with Gabe.”
“What do they do?” A couple feet away, Sophie and Becca shared uncomfortable looks, having a very good idea what the couple were doing.
“Don’t.” Whispered Sophie, as Becca bit her lip.
“I’m not going to.” Retorted Becca, as Gill dropped at bucket in the room.
“I’m gonna try and get Javi or Mike to soundproof Clementine’s house.” Groaned Gill, dropping into a seat across from the girls, “Or talk to Clementine about how loud she is when her and Gabe have sex.”
“What’s sex?”
The three late-teens/early adults all froze, before slowly twisting to look at the children.
“It’s, er,” Gill looked at Sophie and Becca, “um, well, it’s…Becca’ll tell you what it is.” Gill rushed out of the room, with Sophie quickly following after him.
Meanwhile, Clementine looked up as her head lied on Gabe’s chest.
“What’s on your mind?” Asked Gabe, making Clementine shift to look at him.
“A lot of things.” Clementine rested her chin on his collarbone, “Our current situation, Richmond’s alliances, the people we’ve lost. What things would’ve been like if none of this happened.”
“Going for the deep stuff, huh?” Smiled Gabe, hooking his arms around Clementine and trailing kisses down her neck. Clementine let out a giggle, before pulling Gabe up into a kiss.
BR
Minerva did her best not to flinch as Negan slammed his bat into Sullene’s head. She caught sight of a guy with a crossbow glaring at Negan.
“Now that,” Negan laughed, “was ex-zil-la-rating!”
“What do you want?” Snarled Lilly, glaring up at them.
“You took three of our people.” Said a black woman, glaring down at them, “We want them back.”
“What makes you think they’re not dead?”
Negan hit Sullene again, sending her face first into the ground.
“If they dead,” A man crouched down in front of Lilly, “then we’re gonna turn around and pretend we can’t hear Negan bashing your skulls in.”
“Richmond.” Burst someone to Minerva’s left, “We sent them to fight the New Frontier.”
“Well,” Said the man in front of Lilly, “let’s hope they’re alive.”
BR
Clementine led Paul to their prison area, “They did seem weird, given how they just walked up to us.” Clementine pushed a door open and held it open for Paul, “What are their names again?”
“Carl, Enid, Judith,” Jesus pulled a list from his pocket, “Henry, Joel, Adam, Paul, Cotton, Ida, Joe and Rob.”
Clementine gave Jesus a confused look, “Someone named their kid ‘Cotton-Eyed Joe’?”
“No, those are three different people.” Clarified Jesus, as they entered the cells.
Clementine stopped in front of a cell, looking at the young man sitting on the bed, “This one of them?”
Carl looked up, glaring at the woman, before he spotted Jesus.
“Yeah,” Nodded Paul, “Thanks, Clem.”
“Where’s my sister?” Demanded Carl, as Clementine opened his cell door.
“With the other kids.” Answered Clementine, “We’re not keeping toddlers down here.” She looked at Jesus, “How many were on that list?”
“Eleven.”
Clementine stopped and looked at them, “We only captured seven people.”
BR
“This,” Rick looked at Jesus, “Is Richmond?”
“Yep.” Jesus walked up to the gate and knocked on it. As if practiced, a prosthetic leg fell and hit Jesus on the head.
The gate opened and a young woman in jeans and flannel hopped up to Jesus and picked up her leg, “You here to pick your kids up?”
Rick stared at her, noting she was younger than Carl was, but acted like someone his age, “Yeah…do I know you?”
The woman shrugged, holding her hand out, “Clementine.”
Rick shook her hand, “Rick, these are Daryl and Michonne.” He pointed to each of them.
Clementine nodded, as she led them in, “We’ve put Judith and Joel in a couple of classes. It’s actually refreshing, seeing another kid who knows how to deal with Walkers.”
Rick and Michonne shared a look, before looking ahead, he spotted Carl frowning at a pond.
“You okay, Patch?” Asked Clementine, getting Carl’s attention.
“Where’d you get the fish?”
Clementine looked down at the pond, “I…don’t know.”
A crashing sound produced a groan from Clementine, before she turned and walked away from them.
“Carl,” Said Rick, quietly, “what do you know about these people?”
“They seem good,” Answered Carl, matching Rick’s tone, “they could’ve killed us, but they didn’t and their cells are pretty spacious.”
“What about Judith?” Asked Michonne, glancing at Clementine’s retreating back.
“She’s gotten into a couple of fights, namely with some kid called AJ.” Responded Carl, “He said her hair should be short.”
Rick frowned, before looking around, “I’m going to call the others, try and figure what we’ll do next.”
“Is that a pig?” Asked Daryl, nodding towards a strange creature crawling around.
A man with a metal baseball bat, who’d been walking up to them, heard Daryl and followed his gaze. He grabbed the pick and frowned at it, pulling a radio from his belt, “We’ve got a partly devoured pig.”
“Shit.” Came a woman’s voice over the radio, “We’ll look for it.”
“I’m going to need someone to help me with the pig.” Continued the man, “I don’t think bashing its brains out in front of guests would give the best impression.”
“Patch, I mean Carl,” Came Clementine’s voice, “has a spare revolver. I’m sure he’d happily shoot the pig.”
BR
Clementine poked her head around a corner. She let out a two-tone whistle, before hurrying away. A crossbow bolt pierced the walker’s eye, as Clementine drove her knife through the temple of another. Clementine looked over at the people she was with, they’d come from a settlement called Alexandria, Daryl and Abraham were retrieving arrows and wiping walker guts and gunk off the weapons they brought with them.
“This area was supposed to walker free weeks ago.” Grumbled Clementine, kicking a Walkers corpse.
“Then why wasn’t it?” Asked Daryl, getting a sideways look from Clementine.
“The Delta’s been kicking up lately,” Said Sophie, returning with Gabe and Michonne, “they tried to ram a truck into Richmond’s gates. We were lucky they couldn’t get up the hill.”
Daryl frowned, before looking at Michonne.
“What’s all this going to be?” Asked Michonne, gesturing around them.
“Once we get the walls up, it’s going to be a residential area,” Responded Gabe, looking around for any stray walkers, “we’ve got new arrivals sleeping rough, and the sooner we get this cleared, the better.”
The group looked around, as Clementine pulled a sheet from her pocket, “Right,” She grabbed a walkie from her belt, “Javi, we’re,” she looked around, “by a salvage yard, about a mile from the latest clear sight. Mike and the others are gonna have to come down and set the walls up, we’re going to tackle the rest of the walkers once that’s done.”
“Right,” Said Javi, “Becca and her group have reported the same thing, we’re gonna send Bonnie, since her group’s free.”
Clementine held back her groan, “Fine, as long as she doesn’t do anything stupid.”
“She won’t.”
“I’m going to hold you to that.”
A low whistle drew their attention, making Clementine scowl at Negan. The man spun a bat in his hands, before gesturing to a walker, “Tell me he doesn’t look familiar.”
Clementine looked at the Walker, her stomach dropping, “Is, is that Bob Ross?”
“How the hell do you know who that is?” Asked Daryl, giving Clementine a sideways look.
“He was on TV when I was a kid.” Answered Clementine, a small smile forming, “He’s the reason my parent’s bedroom wall turned into a mural of pink paint.”
The Bob Ross Walker growled up at them.
“So,” Clementine looked around, “who wants to make a painting with his brains?”
“…That’s dark, Clem.” Said Gabe, after a moment.
BR
Clementine stretched, AJ had spent the night with his friends again, so she and Gabe had the entire night to themselves. She smiled when she felt Gabe’s arms wrap around her.
“Part of me want AJ to stay out a bit longer.” Murmured Gabe, getting a happy sigh from Clementine.
“Yeah,” She murmured, “but, he needs to wash and change.”
“Thank god for the solar panel, huh.” Smirked Gabe, pulling Clementine’s back to his chest.
“Yeah.” Clementine sighed, “Come on, we need to get dressed.”
Gabe was silent, before making a split-second decision, “Hey, Clem?”
“Yeah?”
“Will you marry me?”

WITH YOU I’M BORN AGAIN
Fandom: The 100 / FTWD / TWD
Main Characters: Clarke Griffin, Lexa i.e. Alicia Clark
Tags: Crossover | Adventure | Romance | Conflict | Friendship | Plot Twists | Alternate Universe - Canon | Probably too much fluff for a zombie apocalypse | And yes most likely some adult cuddling too ;-)
Summary: A new planet brings new enemies, but help is just around the corner. “I told you I’ll always be with you.”
A The 100 / FTWD / TWD crossover, following two long lost lovers, together with their friends and foes.
CHAPTER 40 - CLARKE
"You're worried," I state.
"Of course I am."
For a second I'm afraid she's about to close herself off again, but right then I can feel her grip tighten, and with it I know she's not done.
"Do you think I'm crazy?"
"For trying? No! I mean, I know I said it would be insane to search for Becca, but this-"
"For hoping," she stops me. "For hoping she's still out there. Alive. And... and thinking about me."
I pull her a little closer to me until our shoulders brush with each step, then lean in and gently nudge her cheek. "You're not crazy," I whisper, before letting my lips touch her skin. The softest laugh escapes her and she squeezes my hand again.
"You're going to trip!"
"I don't care," I tell her with quite the bravado, yet after another quick peck I focus my eyes on the road again. "I mean it though," I go on. "I know to you hope is an enemy, but I believe it's what moves us forward."
"But forward to where? There might be nothing there. In fact, I'm pretty sure that's what we're going to find. Absolutely nothing."
I nod. "I know that. But even then, there's a difference between not finding her and her not being out there. If the thought of her being alive, being somewhere in this world with you on her mind, helps you in any way, then I think you should allow yourself that thought."
Lexa stays quiet for a moment, then answers, almost to herself, "It does." She briefly looks at me. "To be someone's child. Even when we're apart. I'd almost forgotten what that felt like."
Her words make me think about Mom. Will she still be in space, or has she found her way to the ground by now? Is she with Marcus, and with Raven? How will her research go? And most importantly, is she happy? I don't have any of the answers, but one thing I do know for sure: I'm on her mind. And there's a value in that that goes beyond words.
I cast her another glance and this time our eyes actually meet. "You know we can stop at any time you want, right? If it would give you more peace, not knowing but believing she's alright..."
She shows me a half-smile. "It would, but I can't."
It's moments like these I'm not sure if I'm dealing with Lexa or Alicia. Probably both.
"I need to know I tried everything I could," she goes on. "Even if that means I don't find anything. Or worse. I just... I need to know."
