I will never forgive some of the blatant biphobia in the TWDG fandom... some of it is even so hidden that people don't see it. I have one that I remember vividly from like 2019? But I called out this one person who said that their Clementine was a lesbian and someone told me "It's not that bad, at least they don't headcanon her as straight," or something like that, and... that's still erasing Clementine's bisexuality. That's still biphobia, whether you like it or not. People in this fandom are so whack, like genuinely. We need to get it together.

“There’s things I wanna say to you But I’ll just let you live” - Cinnamon Girl, Lana del Rey She’s never had someone to say goodbye to like this.
Written for a friend, where Gabriel and Clementine get a proper goodbye at the end of A New Frontier.
Read it on AO3, or click the cut to see a short preview.
“You shouldn’t be standing.” She glances over her shoulder to the door, then back to his face - his eyes squeezed shut and his jaw tense - and she wishes Javier would come back to help her force him to lay back down. You shouldn’t be here, the thought crosses her mind as quickly as it passes, just long enough to burn a frown into the corners of her mouth. She feels guilty for thinking badly of his father even after he’s dead, but she doesn’t know if she’ll ever stop blaming David for this.
“I know.” He eases himself into a sitting position on the bed, breathing out slowly as the mattress dips underneath him. “Javi’s already gotten mad at me for it.” He smiles sheepishly up at her and for a moment, Clementine remembers that they’re kids. She wonders what he would be doing if none of this had happened, if he had never met her and she never knew he existed. It’s such a faraway thought, imagining any sort of reality where they’re normal, safe, maybe even happy for a fleeting moment. She’d be in the seventh grade now, she figures, and he’d be in the eighth. Maybe David would go to his baseball games (would Javier teach him how to play?), maybe her father would watch her play volleyball. Maybe they would lead completely ordinary lives and never meet each other, or maybe they were the kind of people that needed each other in every instance of life. She’d have to ask Kate before she left. She’d never really understood the whole fate thing, no matter how many times Luke had explained it to her in the past. She’s pulled from her thoughts when he says her name and realizes she’s been staring at the wall in front of her for who knows how long, that he’d been talking to her about something or the other while she did. “You’re thinking too much again,” Gabe says, smiling at her again and her heart drops into her stomach because this was it. She wonders what Lee would do if he was here, what Kenny would say if he was around to give her advice. She knows Kenny would tell her that of course she has to leave, has to find AJ before it’s too late and she loses him forever, that Lee would tell her to do what felt right and would keep her people safe, even if it meant some people were upset.
Leaving feels right. Leaving would keep AJ safe. Leaving would keep her safe, would keep her from growing attached to a boy who was going to die someday and her stomach is twisting and her chest hurts and- “I’m leaving,” she blurts, her eyes still focused on the faded stain on the wall behind his head. The air in her lungs leaves in a rush as she lets go of a breath she didn’t know she was holding and she feels her fingertips trembling as her hands close into fists at her sides. She doesn’t look at him, doesn’t look him in the eyes because she knows the hurt in them would make her take it back, shovel the words back into her mouth and bury them deep. But now the air is heavy and she can hear her heart beating in her ears, and she knows that there’s no going back now. “I have to find AJ.”

Firsts 4: First Kiss
[First] [Previous] [Next]
Firsts Part 4
First Kiss
Michonne frowned at the email she’d received. She read through it three times and still couldn’t understand it.
“Everything alright?” Asked Rick, placed a cup of coffee next to her.
“A couple’s asked me to get restraining orders against their adoptive daughter’s biological parents.” Said Michonne, “I’ve tried to contact the social workers that placed the girl with them, and I’ve just been told I can’t see any part of her file.”
“Okay, so how’s that a problem?” Asked Rick, leaning back in his chair.
“I need to know how she ended up in social care in the first place.” Explained Michonne, “I can’t request a restraining order without a good, solid reason.”
Rick frowned, “Have you contacted the parents?”
“That’s my other problem,” Confessed Michonne, “I’ve got the other side trying to get my help.”
Rick let out a whistle.
F
Clementine gnawed her bottom lip, glancing around the garden.
“Why’d your parents suggest this again?” Asked Becca, dropping down next to Clementine.
“Something to do with making friends, I think.” Muttered Clementine, as AJ ran around with some of his classmates.
“For AJ or for you?”
“I dunno.”
“This looks like fun.” Drawled Gabe, joining the two girls, “where’re the others?”
“Sarita’s at the hospital, something about baby trouble. Carlos is conducting surgery, and Sarah’s watching him, and Gill’s on a date with some guy he met at his dad’s store, but they’ll all be making an appearance later. Hopefully.” Said Clementine, as Jamie, Luke’s daughter, tripped over a root and landed hard on her face.
Clementine flinched, “Ooh.” She glanced towards Jane, she hadn’t been happy when she found out she was Luke’s girlfriend. Luke had assumed that Clementine had a crush on him, until Jane told him about her past with Clementine.
Jane started making her way over to Jamie, only for the little girl to jump to her feet and continue running after AJ.
“I still don’t get why Mr Saul and his wife are here.” Said Becca, making Clementine and Gabe look over at the couple.
“Kenlee’s friends with AJ.” Shrugged Clementine.
Becca looked around the garden, “I thought you said Chuck was gonna be here.”
“Yeah, AJ specifically asked for him to be invited.” Confirmed Clementine, as the doorbell rang. They heard Rebecca hurry to the front door.
“Five bucks it’s Sarah with a gruesome story about her dad’s work.” Said Becca, getting a frown from Gabe.
“Ten if it’s Gill saying his date went bad.”
“It’s Duck.” Stated Clementine, “Because you’ll hear a thud in three…two…”
There was a thud, before Duck stumbled through the back door, with a black Labrador in his arms.
“Oh, fuck, no.” Hissed Clementine, pulling her feet onto the bench, trying to put as much distance between her and the dog.
The dog, Whistle, looked his eyes on Clementine, before bounding over to her.
“Oh oho, nope.” Cursed Clementine, “Nope. Fuck this. I’ll see you guys later.”
Clementine made a dash to the fence, before hopping over it.
“Sorry.” Said Duck, nervously rubbing the back of his head, “I wanted to come over, but I couldn’t leave him alone with Butch.”
“Oh, fuck this!”
Everyone looked over, as Clementine hopped back over the fence.
“Why the hell do you have so many dogs?!”
“Swear.” Said AJ, getting a disbelieving look from Clementine.
F
“How come people still feel their limbs after they’ve been cut off?” Asked Sarah, getting a sigh from Carlos.
“It’s called phantom limb syndrome,” He explained, “the brain is responding to the last signal the limb sent, for example, a hand would curl into a fist or a foot would tense up, the brain continues to send signals either continue clenching or to release.”
“So, why doesn’t it just stop sending signals?” Asked Sarah, frowning.
“Because it’s happening on a subconscious level,” Answered Carlos, “you can acknowledge that somethings missing, but there’ll be a small corner of your mind where you’ll keep acknowledging it’s presence.”
“So, why doesn’t it go away when someone thinks of uncurling their hand?”
“Because you can’t see it.” Responded Carlos, as they pulled up in front of the Brooke home, “The subconscious part of your brain needs to see the hand let go, which is where mirror therapy comes in.”
“What’s that?” Questioned Sarah, tilting her head slightly.
“It’s a form of therapy that, basically, tricks the brain into thinking the missing limb lets go by having the reflection of the other, remaining limb tense up and letting go.” Said Carlos, as they got out of the car, “it’s surprisingly effective.”
“Cool.” Said Sarah, as they reached the door.
“DUCK GET YOUR ANIMAL AWAY FROM ME!” Screamed Clementine, making Sarah giggle.
Carlos frowned, as he and Sarah walked through the Brooke home. Entering the garden, they found a black labrador standing at the base of a tree, their tail going a mile a minute, with Clementine clambering around the branches.
“Clem, he’s harmless!” Called Duck, the labrador barking and jumping.
“What’d we miss?” Asked Sarah, drawing level with Becca and Gabe.
“Clem’s convinced Duck’s dog is going to bite her, going on her last couple of experiences with dog sized animals, AJ and the other kids are playing with the dog, Duck’s trying to get her out of the tree and the dog wants to play with her.” Said Becca, as Clementine’s foot slipped off the branch and fell out of the tree, her hat coming off in the process.
In the blink of an eye, the labrador was on top of Clementine, licking away at her face. Grabbing the dog’s shoulders, Clementine pushed the dog until it was at arm’s length and glared at Duck, “My mouth was open!”
“But, he’s not trying to eat you!” Grinned Duck, as the dog dropped down and rested it’s head on Clementine’s legs.
Glancing down, Clementine hesitantly moved one of her hands to the dog’s heat and started patting it. AJ wandered up to Clementine and the dog and buried his face in the dogs fur.
“Okay,” Clementine stiffly looked at Duck, “This one is fine, the rest are bad.”
Duck froze, before shrugging, “Eh, baby steps.”
Clementine rolled her eyes, and reached to adjust her hat, only to find it missing. Twisting around, Clementine found her hat a couple of feet away, quickly grabbing it and pulling it on her head.
“You okay, Clem?” Asked Rebecca, getting nod from Clementine, “Because that fall was about seven or eight feet.”
“I’ve survived worse.” Dismissed Clementine, getting a grin from AJ.
“Yeah, she fell off a roof.” Said the child, making Clementine freeze.
“I’m sorry, what?!”
“It wasn’t that high.”
“How high was it?”
“…ten feet?”
“When did that happen?” Asked Rebecca, as Becca froze.
“Is Clem talking about the cabin incident?” Asked Sarah, getting Rebecca’s attention.
“When was it?”
“A couple of months ago….” Clementine winced, “…I think?”
Rebecca breathed in deeply through her nose and spun in her heel, “I’m going to get Carlos.”
“But I didn’t break anything this time!” Protested Clementine.
“THIS TIME?!”
F
“Well,” Carlos frowned, looking at Clementine, “you didn’t break anything.”
“See.” Clementine gave Rebecca a pointed look.
“But, your ankle is dislocated.” Finished Carlos, “Now, I should tell you to go to a hospital, but-”
Carlos abruptly relocated the joint.
“Fff-” Clementine sucked air through her teeth.
“There, I just saved you about sixty-thousand dollars.”  Said Carlos, as Duck helped Clementine to her feet.
“It still hurts.” Grumbled Clementine, limping as she hobbled away.
“She only found it painful because she’s never damaged that ankle before.” Said Carlos, frowning as the friend group talked amongst themselves, “I’ll speak to Vernon, see about getting her an x-ray or something.”
Rebecca hummed, as AJ ran up to her, holding a tooth, “Mommy! Look!”
“Oh.” Rebecca stared at the tooth, “Wonderful.”
F
A week later, Clementine and Gabe were quietly walking through a park together. Clementine laughed at something Gabe said.
“You know, they’re gonna find us.” Said Duck, as Becca shushed him.
“No, they’re not.” Becca looked back at Clem and Gabe, only to find they’d vanished, “Shit, where’ve they gone?”
Clementine and Gabe stopped running, with Clementine letting a laugh out.
“I think we’ve lost them.” Said Gabe, as Clementine laughed.
“Yeah.” Clementine let out a few more huffs of laughter, before leaning against Gabe.
“We need to do that more.” Said Gabe, as he and Clementine dropped onto a bench.
“Hmm.” Hummed Clementine, as Gabe looked down at her.
The two stared into each other’s eyes and, the next either of them knew it, they shared a kiss. They pulled part, before leaning into each other again and sharing a longer kiss.
Meanwhile, from another bush, Sarah snapped a picture of the pair.
F
“Is it me, or has Clementine become…affectionate?” Asked Michelle, looking at Ida.
“I think everyone’s noticed it.” Answered Ida, as Greg shifted across from them.
“Tell that to my nose.” Huffed Greg, getting an eyeroll from Michelle.
“Have you heard?” Interrupted Danielle, dropping onto a seat.
“Heard what?” Asked Ida, frowning.
“We’re going to be merging with another school.”

Because I do not recognize the shit comics as canon.
My personal canon is Clem, AJ, Violet, Louis and the rest of the Ericson's kids all moved out of the school and went to Richmond and helped Javi, Kate and Gabe build a stronger community.
Clem brought AJ home as promised and brought her friends better security and a better home than a crumbling school.
Clem got her happy ending.
Aaaand you can pry that out of my cold dead friends.
Oh and Mari is alive. Why? Fuck you that's why

An AU where Clem has a great relationship with Gabe and his family. David is still in the Army and is the father of Gabe and Mariana, he just didn't marry Kate in this AU.

I'll admit that back when A New Frontier was coming out I jumped on the bandwagon of "how dare Gabe try to flirt with Clem she's SO out of his league" and all that, but in recent years I've softened a lot towards Gabentine. I think it's cute, seeing them together. Especially that one scene when they're playing cards and Clem gets all salty about losing. You're exactly right, she gets to be an actual kid around him. Clem would've been so much better off if she'd made it back to New Richmond where she could see how things develop with Gabe (whether anything comes of it or not) and also not have to be the sole caretaker to AJ.
So uhh, idk if this was just bad writing, but why did David and the new frontier exile a 13 yr old to fend for herself in the apocalypse AND take AJ to boot when they thought he was gonna die anyway?
It's just wierd how everyone in season 3 acts like clem is 30 especially while treating gabe like a child. She acted out once to save an Infant in her care
Idk why did Bonnie and co expect an 11 yr old Clem to save a grown ass man from cracking ice.
Honestly the weirdly high expectations and adultification of Clem starts all the way back in season 2 so in a sense I do chalk some of the kicking Clem out scene to bad writing, but it’s bad writing that stems from a deep rooted issues i’ve had with the game since season 2.
As for why they kept AJ. I mean from Lingard and Avas lines that where like “AJ can’t travel all we can do is making him comfortable” and “let him go he’ll only drag you down out there.”
I honestly think it was a weird and messed up way to give Clem a better chance of surviving after kicking her out and also to ensure that AJ wasn’t gonna suffer a horrible death once Clem was kicked. Taking AJ away would ensure that Clem could focus on herself and her own safety and not have to worry about putting AJ’s needs first. And keeping AJ with the new frontier ensures that AJ could’ve at least died a comfort death. It’s complicated and messy and I honestly feel like nobody was in the right in that situation, it was just a shit show and honestly I think every character in that scene knew that.
Another reason for why they where so harsh with Clem is that I think the New Frontier leaders are EXTREMELY paranoid about thieves because of what happened on the Shenandoah river. Obvs we barely know anything but from lines Joan and David said in ep 3 it was something like “we had a good run there.” “For as long as it lasted…” “what always happens, we trusted the wrong damn people.”
Just from that I can put together that they trusted some people that ended up fucking them over and forced them to move locations, the people probably stole their land, supplies, or something else. Either way I think that’s what made them so cautious about who they let in from that point on and when they’re specifically so harsh when it comes to any perceived thievery.

the richmond crew coming across the school and Gabe finding Clementine again and louis desperately trying to outflirt gabe as if it’s a competition is a funny lil concept
LMFAOOOOOOOOOO
Let me add a little twist to this, Louis and Gabe shamelessly flirt while Clem is with Violet the entire time😭
Osrs though, I think Gabe would at least be a little better at talking by this point considering it would be 3 years at Richmond, while Louis is a natural flirt. So it'd be funny to write it and make it happen. I know Javi would enjoy two idiots trying to flirt with Clem.

How do you think mari would react to the events of anf if she lived to the end?
So, I'm going to skip to when David comes back into the picture, but that's by far the most interesting part of this.
I think Mariana, like her brother, would be happy to have her dad back. But unlike Gabe, Mariana has less of a blind spot for their father, and she's also shown herself to be pretty clever, so I think she'd pick up on David's issues fairly quickly.
As the story goes on, Mariana finds herself torn, wanting to stay with her dad, but not liking the way he's acting. She wouldn't be happy to find out that Javi was kicked out of New Richmond, that's for sure. I feel like Mari would be the middle ground between hating David like Kate, or loving him like Gabe.
With everyone in her family arguing or causing problems, I feel like Mariana would grow closer to Javi, especially if he's been picking neutral answers and trying to keep the peace. They both want what's best for their family, but they both see the cracks.
In the end, Mariana is horrified when David attacks Javi, and she refuses to go with him and Gabe when they run off in the truck. Despite this, I think she would advocate for Javi to go after them, since she still doesn't want to lose her family.
If Kate died/disappeared and David died, Mariana would cling onto the family she has left, a little traumatized and terrified of losing them too.
If Gabe and David both died, Mariana would grow distant from Kate, and potentially Javi if they haven't had a good relationship throughout the episodes. She's broken by everything that's happened, and doesn't know how to cope.
If both Gabe and David lived, I think Mariana would be the best off. She's got most of her family still there with her, and while it stings to lose Kate, she's glad to see the rest of her family healing.
Mariana would also be the epitome of a bratty little sister to Gabe over his crush on Clementine. There would be no mercy with her teasing, and once she realized Clementine also had a crush, Clem would be getting it, too.

Between Reunions 3

Between Reunions 3
“Are you nervous?” Asked Clementine, as she and Eleanor helped Kate into her dress.
“Clem, I’ve been married before.” Responded Kate, getting a snort from Clementine.
“Yeah, to a dick.” Snorted Clementine, getting a disapproving look from Eleanor.
“Clementine.” Chastised Eleanor, getting an eye roll from Clementine.
“What?” Asked Clementine, “It’s not like you’re disagreeing with me.”
“It might be true, but it might be an idea to not speak ill of the dead.” Said Eleanor, getting another snort from Clementine.
“Do you think that’s why they suddenly got up and started walking?” Huffed Clementine, starting to laugh, “Someone’s grandson said they were a dick and they took it personally?”
Clementine continued to laugh, with Eleanor and Kate joining her.
BR
“I’m still amazed you managed to get this thing running.” Said Gabe, as Gill adjusted the video camera.
“It just needed new batteries.”
“Huh.” Gabe looked over at Javi, who was fidgeting with the black jacket he’d found.
“Did your Dad fidget this much when he married Kate?” Asked Gill, glancing at Gabe.
“I can’t remember,” Answered Gabe, frowning, “I was a little kid at the time, and Mariana was asking where mom went.”
“That sucks.” Said Gill, getting a wince from Gabe.
“That’s my biggest fear,” Confessed Gabe, “having kids and then getting myself killed. I’m afraid of Clementine having to explain to them why I’m not coming back.”
Gill glanced at Gabe, “Your dad never addressed it, did he?”
“Not out loud.” Answered Gabe, “He took her pictures down, he put her things into storage. When I asked, he just said she wasn’t coming back.” Gabe swallowed, “I suppose, his reaction made it worse, he just, shut off. Part of me thinks he only remarried so Mariana and I had someone to call mom.”
“Guys,” Everyone looked towards the doors, Gabe felt his heart flutter at the sight of Clementine in a dress, “Kate’s almost here.”
BR
Violet sighed as she trudged towards the fishing shed, Tenn trailed behind her. She looked around, trying to find a weird walker that Willy had spotted a few months ago. Normally she wouldn’t bother, but Willy had mention it was walking normally when he last saw it.
“Do you think Clementine and AJ lived?” Asked Tenn, getting Violet’s attention.
“I hope so, but they probably didn’t.” Answered Violet, as they heard someone coming up behind them.
“What’s going on?” Asked Louis, frowning at them.
“We’re talking.” Said Violet, “It’s what we do to pass the time.”
Louis huffed, before looking around, “Do you think Willy was making up the Walker story?”
“Could’ve been,” Shrugged Violet, “He probably got bored. What are you doing out here?”
“Walking.” Louis avoided answering.
“That’s stupid.” Retorted Violet, as Brody appeared.
“They’re not caught in any traps, maybe they wander into a herd.” Brody froze when she saw Tenn and Violet, “Oh, I didn’t see you there.”
“Who’s they?” Demanded Violet, as Tenn looked around.
Brody nervously glanced at Louis, before answering, “Clementine and AJ.”
Violet felt a burst of anger, “What?”
“We, we thought it’d be nice if they,” Brody swallowed, “if they were laid to rest.”
Violet took a step towards them, her face like thunder, before a gunshot sent her to the ground. A man stepped out of the bushes, pointing a gun at them. Louis grabbed Violet’s bow, freezing when the man aimed at him.
“Y-your supplies.” Rushed the man, his hand shaking, “Now.”
“We don’t hav-” Louis was sent backwards, as a bullet hit him in the shoulder.
“Don’t lie!” Shrieked the man, as Violet groaned and moved.
“Wha-” Violet rolled over, revealing her left eye completely destroyed.
“Your supplies,” his hand continued to shake as he aimed at Violet, “or she dies.”
The group of four didn’t move, as a Walker stumbled up behind the man, and buried its teeth into the back of his neck. Brody quickly grabbed chairles and bashed the Walker’s head in. Looking at Louis and Violet, she quickly pulled them up.
“We need to get home,” Said Brody, as Tenn supported Louis, “now.”
BR
Clementine pushed a bucket towards Kate, not looking up from her book.
“Thanks.” Said Kate, her head still in the bucket.
“As long as you’re not throwing up on me, don’t mention it.” Responded Clementine, stretching her remaining leg out.
“How’re things holding up?”
“Well,” Clementine looked up from her book, “Conrad’s still a bit pissed about that fire we had a couple weeks back, Eleanor and Lingard are arguing over the filing system and Gabe’s being really vague about something.”
Kate was silent, making Clementine worry the woman had died. Kate suddenly retching told her that the woman was, in fact, still alive.
“Sounds like a hectic week.” Joked Kate, as Eleanor appeared at the door.
“Clem, you’ve been freed to go.” Said the medic, with Clementine getting up and leaving the room at an almost comical speed.
Kate blearily looked up from her bucket and stared at the door, “What had her in a hurry?”
BR
“Clem, I need you to go with Bonnie.” Said Javi, as Clementine drew close to the group.
Clementine froze, before looking at Javi, “Why?”
“Gill’s seen a walker herd close to the settlement,” Said Javi, “he thinks a whisperer’s leading them.”
“And you need me to tell you if it’s James or not.” Finished Clementine, before looking around, “Right, can you tell Gabe I’ll be a bit late?”
Javi nodded, as Clementine jerked her head towards the gates and set off, with Bonnie trailing after her.
“Right,” Said Bonnie, after they were a few yards from New Richmond, “So, how’re you?”
“Fine.”
“Er, how’s AJ?”
“Fine.”
“Look, Clem,” Bonnie stopped, “I know we didn’t part of the best terms-”
“You left me to die after allowing Arvo to shoot me.” Snapped Clementine, glaring at Bonnie, “You claimed to thinking about AJ, but you left him behind with Kenny. That’s not even starting-”
A crunched made Clementine stop yelling, she cursed herself, before turning and looking at the Walker. The two stared at each other, before they stumbled forwards. Frowning, Clementine swung her prosthetic leg up and kicked the Walker between the legs. Letting out a sputtering groan, James fell to his knees.
“Really?” He whined, trying not to curl into a ball.
“A normal person would’ve said ‘hello’.” Said Clementine, as James struggled to his feet.
Pulling the mask off, James glared at Clementine, “Y’know, you could be a bit more grateful for me leading those herds away.”
Clementine sighed through her nose, “Right, sorry. How many are there?”
“None, currently.” Answered James, as Clementine looked behind him, “There’s a couple that are part of a tree, but it’s otherwise clear.”
Clementine nodded, before jerking her head towards New Richmond, “C’mon, I’ll see if I can convince Javí to give you some food.”
James hummed, as Clementine turned away from him.
“Delta’s moved on from that school, by the way.” Said James, “I heard it was something to do with Negan’s group.”
Clementine stopped, frowning, “The Saviors haven’t been a threat for several months now.”
“Maybe there’s something no one knows about.” Suggested James, side stepping Bonnie, “How’s the kid?”
“AJ?” Clementine glanced back at him, “He’s doing great.”
BR
AJ brought the baseball bat down on the Walker’s head, the knife he’s taped to it becoming stuck in the walking corpse.
“Dude!” Yelled someone, AJ thought it was Jesus, “I think you got him!”
AJ rolled his eyes and gave the Walker one last blow, before walking away from it. The boy looked at the Walkers, and at the living. He saw Gabe stride past him and pull the knife out of the Walker’s head.
Nervously looking around, AJ approached Gabe, “Gabe?”
“Yeah?” Grunted Gabe, shoving the remains of a Walker off a spike.
“Can I go to a friend’s house tonight?”
Gabe froze, before looking at AJ, “You do realise that Clem has the final say in this, right?”
AJ nodded, “But if you’re okay with it, she might let me.”
Gabe sighed, “Okay, I’ll talk to Clem.” AJ smiled, “But, you’re gonna have to help me clear this shit.”
AJ hastily nodded, quickly grabbing a Walker’s severed arm.
BR
“What d’ya think your mom’s doing?” Asked Bobby, a boy around AJ’s age.
“Clementine’s not my mom.” Frowned AJ, “I think she’s spending time with Gabe.”
“What do they do?” A couple feet away, Sophie and Becca shared uncomfortable looks, having a very good idea what the couple were doing.
“Don’t.” Whispered Sophie, as Becca bit her lip.
“I’m not going to.” Retorted Becca, as Gill dropped at bucket in the room.
“I’m gonna try and get Javi or Mike to soundproof Clementine’s house.” Groaned Gill, dropping into a seat across from the girls, “Or talk to Clementine about how loud she is when her and Gabe have sex.”
“What’s sex?”
The three late-teens/early adults all froze, before slowly twisting to look at the children.
“It’s, er,” Gill looked at Sophie and Becca, “um, well, it’s…Becca’ll tell you what it is.” Gill rushed out of the room, with Sophie quickly following after him.
Meanwhile, Clementine looked up as her head lied on Gabe’s chest.
“What’s on your mind?” Asked Gabe, making Clementine shift to look at him.
“A lot of things.” Clementine rested her chin on his collarbone, “Our current situation, Richmond’s alliances, the people we’ve lost. What things would’ve been like if none of this happened.”
“Going for the deep stuff, huh?” Smiled Gabe, hooking his arms around Clementine and trailing kisses down her neck. Clementine let out a giggle, before pulling Gabe up into a kiss.
BR
Minerva did her best not to flinch as Negan slammed his bat into Sullene’s head. She caught sight of a guy with a crossbow glaring at Negan.
“Now that,” Negan laughed, “was ex-zil-la-rating!”
“What do you want?” Snarled Lilly, glaring up at them.
“You took three of our people.” Said a black woman, glaring down at them, “We want them back.”
“What makes you think they’re not dead?”
Negan hit Sullene again, sending her face first into the ground.
“If they dead,” A man crouched down in front of Lilly, “then we’re gonna turn around and pretend we can’t hear Negan bashing your skulls in.”
“Richmond.” Burst someone to Minerva’s left, “We sent them to fight the New Frontier.”
“Well,” Said the man in front of Lilly, “let’s hope they’re alive.”

Clementine led Paul to their prison area, “They did seem weird, given how they just walked up to us.” Clementine pushed a door open and held it open for Paul, “What are their names again?”
“Carl, Enid, Judith,” Jesus pulled a list from his pocket, “Henry, Joel, Adam, Paul, Cotton, Ida, Joe and Rob.”
Clementine gave Jesus a confused look, “Someone named their kid ‘Cotton-Eyed Joe’?”
“No, those are three different people.” Clarified Jesus, as they entered the cells.
Clementine stopped in front of a cell, looking at the young man sitting on the bed, “This one of them?”
Carl looked up, glaring at the woman, before he spotted Jesus.
“Yeah,” Nodded Paul, “Thanks, Clem.”
“Where’s my sister?” Demanded Carl, as Clementine opened his cell door.
“With the other kids.” Answered Clementine, “We’re not keeping toddlers down here.” She looked at Jesus, “How many were on that list?”
“Eleven.”
Clementine stopped and looked at them, “We only captured seven people.”
BR
“This,” Rick looked at Jesus, “Is Richmond?”
“Yep.” Jesus walked up to the gate and knocked on it. As if practiced, a prosthetic leg fell and hit Jesus on the head.
The gate opened and a young woman in jeans and flannel hopped up to Jesus and picked up her leg, “You here to pick your kids up?”
Rick stared at her, noting she was younger than Carl was, but acted like someone his age, “Yeah…do I know you?”
The woman shrugged, holding her hand out, “Clementine.”
Rick shook her hand, “Rick, these are Daryl and Michonne.” He pointed to each of them.
Clementine nodded, as she led them in, “We’ve put Judith and Joel in a couple of classes. It’s actually refreshing, seeing another kid who knows how to deal with Walkers.”
Rick and Michonne shared a look, before looking ahead, he spotted Carl frowning at a pond.
“You okay, Patch?” Asked Clementine, getting Carl’s attention.
“Where’d you get the fish?”
Clementine looked down at the pond, “I…don’t know.”
A crashing sound produced a groan from Clementine, before she turned and walked away from them.
“Carl,” Said Rick, quietly, “what do you know about these people?”
“They seem good,” Answered Carl, matching Rick’s tone, “they could’ve killed us, but they didn’t and their cells are pretty spacious.”
“What about Judith?” Asked Michonne, glancing at Clementine’s retreating back.
“She’s gotten into a couple of fights, namely with some kid called AJ.” Responded Carl, “He said her hair should be short.”
Rick frowned, before looking around, “I’m going to call the others, try and figure what we’ll do next.”
“Is that a pig?” Asked Daryl, nodding towards a strange creature crawling around.
A man with a metal baseball bat, who’d been walking up to them, heard Daryl and followed his gaze. He grabbed the pick and frowned at it, pulling a radio from his belt, “We’ve got a partly devoured pig.”
“Shit.” Came a woman’s voice over the radio, “We’ll look for it.”
“I’m going to need someone to help me with the pig.” Continued the man, “I don’t think bashing its brains out in front of guests would give the best impression.”
“Patch, I mean Carl,” Came Clementine’s voice, “has a spare revolver. I’m sure he’d happily shoot the pig.”
BR
Clementine poked her head around a corner. She let out a two-tone whistle, before hurrying away. A crossbow bolt pierced the walker’s eye, as Clementine drove her knife through the temple of another. Clementine looked over at the people she was with, they’d come from a settlement called Alexandria, Daryl and Abraham were retrieving arrows and wiping walker guts and gunk off the weapons they brought with them.
“This area was supposed to walker free weeks ago.” Grumbled Clementine, kicking a Walkers corpse.
“Then why wasn’t it?” Asked Daryl, getting a sideways look from Clementine.
“The Delta’s been kicking up lately,” Said Sophie, returning with Gabe and Michonne, “they tried to ram a truck into Richmond’s gates. We were lucky they couldn’t get up the hill.”
Daryl frowned, before looking at Michonne.
“What’s all this going to be?” Asked Michonne, gesturing around them.
“Once we get the walls up, it’s going to be a residential area,” Responded Gabe, looking around for any stray walkers, “we’ve got new arrivals sleeping rough, and the sooner we get this cleared, the better.”
The group looked around, as Clementine pulled a sheet from her pocket, “Right,” She grabbed a walkie from her belt, “Javi, we’re,” she looked around, “by a salvage yard, about a mile from the latest clear sight. Mike and the others are gonna have to come down and set the walls up, we’re going to tackle the rest of the walkers once that’s done.”
“Right,” Said Javi, “Becca and her group have reported the same thing, we’re gonna send Bonnie, since her group’s free.”
Clementine held back her groan, “Fine, as long as she doesn’t do anything stupid.”
“She won’t.”
“I’m going to hold you to that.”
A low whistle drew their attention, making Clementine scowl at Negan. The man spun a bat in his hands, before gesturing to a walker, “Tell me he doesn’t look familiar.”
Clementine looked at the Walker, her stomach dropping, “Is, is that Bob Ross?”
“How the hell do you know who that is?” Asked Daryl, giving Clementine a sideways look.
“He was on TV when I was a kid.” Answered Clementine, a small smile forming, “He’s the reason my parent’s bedroom wall turned into a mural of pink paint.”
The Bob Ross Walker growled up at them.
“So,” Clementine looked around, “who wants to make a painting with his brains?”
“…That’s dark, Clem.” Said Gabe, after a moment.
BR
Clementine stretched, AJ had spent the night with his friends again, so she and Gabe had the entire night to themselves. She smiled when she felt Gabe’s arms wrap around her.
“Part of me want AJ to stay out a bit longer.” Murmured Gabe, getting a happy sigh from Clementine.
“Yeah,” She murmured, “but, he needs to wash and change.”
“Thank god for the solar panel, huh.” Smirked Gabe, pulling Clementine’s back to his chest.
“Yeah.” Clementine sighed, “Come on, we need to get dressed.”
Gabe was silent, before making a split-second decision, “Hey, Clem?”
“Yeah?”
“Will you marry me?”
