in your pow camp is gale not a virgin? maureen said she has got into his pants
Mm yeah, thanks for that Maureen. 🤣
Tumblr media
She’s been in his pants for sure, although likely only a hand, maybe her mouth. His mouth has been in her pants 100%. I’d say no penetrative sex has occurred, for sure.
And tbh, neither I or Gale are sure how the hell that began. It’s something I still need to figure out.
It’s just he’s never had it in him to resist this gal, he tried valiantly at the start but it’s not even a case of her being insensitive to his code of ethics, she just hit him outta nowhere. Things that are definite no’s in his life go fuzzy around her. He’s not sure what to make of it and while he’s pondering it she winds up with a hand down his trousers and then his mind goes even fuzzier. This level of compromise has not been happening very long before the camp, but it’s had a significant enough lead up that everyone suspected long before they were guilty of it.
Which puts Gale in a state of turmoil as he’s both fighting his own inclinations towards the first selfish love of his life while also keenly conscious of its risk.
It was be horrific for his reputation and career to be found consorting with a subordinate. Subordinate’s -by nature of their subordination- can’t consent, so every interaction is a classified coercion.
Male with male or male with female, doesn’t matter. That’s the army rules.
It would be cataclysmic for both Maureen’s career but also the whole experiment of integration to be found out, so truly, Gale sympathizes with Ida’s rigidity. Added to this is Maureen’s Bucky Egan Levels of lack of self preservation. So Gale is really, really torn about it.
But also, he’s never been so loved up before in his life and it shakes him all up and dumps his insides out and the longer he goes on into this war, the less he’s sure about anything besides the here and now and the men -or women- right beside him.

for the Wayhaven asks: 15, 23, 24, and 26 for any of your girls that feel like answering 💖
15. Would they have reacted to Falk’s flirting, if given the opportunity?
Kasey.... might've, a little. More "playing along" than 100% sincere, maybe testing to see how far he would push. None of the others would. AJ and Janine are both too smitten by this point(both canons, for AJ), and he's not Mallory's type.
23. How are they with children?
AJ and Janine are both amazing with kids. AJ's the understanding one, who will listen to their stories, read them books, fixes a fun dinner and has this quiet authority to her kids listen to. Janine is the fun one; making up games, folding paper airplanes, helping them build forts, all of which pays off bc A) she has fun and B) they're exhausted at bedtime.
Mallory's alright. She can take care of kids, they'll listen to her and not complain if they hear she's in charge, but she's probably gonna try to have them sit and read or something else quiet(Unless they get in a fight. Then she's all "no, no, *THIS* is a correct stance, and here's how to throw a punch, and never, ever use this on your siblings, understand?")
Kasey is barely tolerable. She'll keep them alive, they'll be alright with her presence, but neither will be overjoyed with the experience.
24. Do they have any keepsakes from their father?
Mallory has his watch, non-functional but she still wears it. AJ has a bunch of his old work shirts, button downs with his initials inside the collar(since I headcanon for her his actual name is Aiden, that means they have the same initials). I.... don't think Janine has anything, I can't remember. I think Kasey has a framed photo of her and her parents from when she was a baby she almost never looks at.
26. If given the choice, would they become a vampire?
Yes for all. Mallory and Kasey are practically at the point of asking how to make it happen as of post-book 3. (Kasey's found it a turn on since book 1)

Who is Rebecca most worried about the detective getting involved with? Other than the villain LI for book four lol
Rebecca really doesn't want to get involved in that side of the MC's life.
But she does has reservations about the MC and Nate/Nat.
Nate/Nat has some…secrets that make them more than they seem, and knowing those secrets, Rebecca really hopes N is going to admit them soon, or her lack of involvement may change...
Thank you so much for the ask! :)

Alright lay em on me - what theories do you have for book 4? I want the random small stuff and the big nasty painful theories (I’m sitting in hell after reading through the demo so fast LOL just been surviving on everyone’s theories 😭😭! So I would love to hear yours!)
Hello friend! Thank you for the ask! This demo has been consuming me - I need to go through every single choice (and there are sprinklings of lore hints - such as N saying to be careful justice doesn’t become revenge or A subtly reacting to people turning into ash). Of course, the Rebecca theories. And the scenes with the other Units
Theories!
* While we learn N’s backstory and the big bad thing, we won’t learn but instead will witness N’s Tier X power (more obvious than the b3 scene)
* Rebecca will be tempted by the idea of seeing Rook once more, or will be trapped/caught by Li-Sar and will see the hallucinations of Rook. Rebecca might not survive this book, but she might (probably will) - and if she does, she’ll finally accept the Agency’s offering of grief counseling
* We will learn a lot more about Rook (which has been mentioned, the idea placing it in the Bobby/Douglas route if you took Rebecca to the auction)
* This is my bestie’s idea! Not mine! But I love it so much that I am going to mention it. That Units Alpha/Delta/Victor will help in capturing Li-Sar (because of the mention of their strengths/weaknesses)
* The masquerade is going to be so extravagant and a big, bad thing is going to happen ->
* Big, bad might include: the UB LI might accidentally be very injured again by the MC or on purpose by Li-Sar. Solar magic will continue to put them in peril ->
* THERE WILL BE THE VAMPIRE BITE! To save the LI’s life
Those are my big theories. Things I would like to see:
* Eric telling Verda his big secret / Pierson being revealed to Tina
* The LT having an ending point (number one of three)
* Meeting X (ex-member)
* Getting closure with Rook
* Bobby about to bust the story WIDE OPEN / Douglas settling into being a supernatural
* The option for a steamy scene with Li-Sar
Those are what I have off the top of my head! As with books two and three, we will learn more about UB’s backstories (LI and BFF routes)
Thanks for the ask! This is so fun and I am so excited for more!

You know that Fox's brother's would ask what's his deal with liking the Organas. They're already using the "has a nice mustache and beard" with Cody and Obi-Wan and the "has a thing for authority figures" with Bly and Aayla, so they can't use those when they're making fun of Fox. That wouldn't be original. So they ask.
And Fox gives them the most weary look that a man can possibly give and just goes "oh you wanna actually know huh? You wanna actually know? It's because they're stable. They're the most stable people I've ever met in my entire life. I need to have something stable. I am not stable. I haven't been stable since I was born, which means that I've never been stable. Also they've been together over 20 years and they know exactly how this all works so I can for once just sit back and not think about anything, it's like taking a vacation which I don't get"
It's quiet. Bly opens his mouth to ask if that all means Fox is a bottom but Cody kicks him before he can say anything. They decide to let it be until the war is over and Fox has been to a therapist.

what are your thoughts on the new twc update 🥺
there were so many lines in the adam route that had me clutching my chest. like "i'm going to be alright, adam." "i know. i just needed to hear you say it." are you kidding. they were insane for that.
and oh my god the end scene. WITH FARAH. why does angst hurt so much worse when it's with her. god please take all of farah's pain and give it to adam
+ our new villain... yummy. very excited for that freak

Honestly in love with how much clowning on A is done here. Even when the relationship does happen i think the makeup will be fused to their & the detective's faces at that point. 🤣
That is definitely true. When that time finally comes, they will be Mr. and Mrs. Clown!

What do you have in store for Ida and Rosie’s story? Because they are the only pairing who aren’t at the POW camp.
Aha!! This is gonna be a long answer, hence why I let your ask molder away as I worked on a reply, thanks for your patience.
I can’t wait to weave this whole thing, and it’s honestly the only postwar story I’m at all sure about in this universe so far. Let’s just say it’s a hella slow burn. Even after getting married. Because they do marry. Rather soon. But they are a bit of a buddy cop duo. Romantic love -at least for Ida- comes later.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think it’s safe to assume that dear Ida was present when Rosie first introduced himself to the Bucks, told his underwear story and generally made a magnificent entry. Now, one must consider two things with this:
1. Rosie’s regret over what the hell he was thinking telling that story would be compounded by telling it in front of a female officer
2. Ida might have always been a stiff spined stickler before her trauma and the Stalag, but she did have a sense of humor. I like to think she found him funny, plus, with the Bucks beginning to fray a little in their own morale, flagging in offering encouragement to the newbies, I think Ida would be the sort to fill that role, best she can. Surprisingly, Rosenthal, Nash, Pappy, they’re not the sorta men to resent a woman giving them a pep m-up chat.
Now, keep in mind it’s three missions later and she’s been downed so there was not really a connection made there. Although I love to think that some night in the Stalag when everyone is bored and playing ask games with each other, one of the questions is:
“Who was the last person ya danced with?”
And Bucky gets to tell about Paulina and Gale gets chafed about choosing Meatball over Maureen and Brady bemoans having been so stuck on the bandstand playing sax instead of taking his chances and then when it’s Ida’s turn she’s just: “it was one of the new ones, the ‘egg frying on the instrument panel,’ guy.”
This is met with a chorus of “Rosenthal???”
“Told me to call him Rosie.” Ida shrugs. “He had some fun moves.”
Anyways. That’s a far off thing by April of ‘45.
SPOILERS ABOUT ESCAPE:
….
when Ida get away with Gale and makes it back first of anyone to England? Best believe she is beyond distracted with worry for her girls. Who’s there to meet her and welcome her and Cleven to Thorpe? Crosby of course -and Rosie. Malnourished, ptsd riddled and burdened with responsibility for her girls, Ida isn’t exactly the sparkly female Colonel that Rosenthal remembers meeting and dancing with.
In fact, that first initial interaction goes a bit sourly. She needs a nap, he awkwardly needs a deposition on her treatment. It’s a little rough, ok?
But the longer she is back at Thorpe, reunited with her few girls still there who were never downed, she learns how well their new Lt. Colonel -Rosenthal- has looked after them, fought to resend the grounding orders after Ida went down, generally been a good bean.
Also, due to being her superior now and having been given the legal burden of collecting information and evidence on the girls treatment by the Germans, Rosenthal and Ida start spending time, a lotta time, together.
There’s Jeep chauffeuring, Coffee Breaks and Mercy Runs where he goads her into buzzing the tower for the first time in her life -“of course I haven’t done it before, Rosenthal. One of you cats do it and it’s cute, I do it and I’m fired. No, I don’t mean discharged, I mean plainly fired.”
And then there’s the depositions, eventually full of her having to dictate shit that she’s never vocalized since it happened to her. Somehow, Rosie makes the whole thing easier than she ever expected. Not to say it’s easy. Although if you asked his female secretary, she’d say the one more visibly affected by it was the male lawyer, not the half catatonic victim spewing a rote litany of horror.
One time, his grip on his pencil gets so tight that it snaps. Ida replaces it. His quiet rage for her is about the best closure she’s felt so far. And that thread of such shared knowledge between them and them alone, even if it was in professional context? -That’s Intimacy. Far more than kisses or rings.
A righteous vengeance duo? Yes please, they’re a force to be reckoned with as the war winds down.
Before long Ida is asking Croz, “Was Rosenthal always that pretty?”
Harry is cackling over it, “Yeah.” He goads her, “But he is more confident now.”
“Confidence.” Ida repeats, trying to convince herself, “Yeah, that would be it.”
The thing of it is, Ida was unsure or marriage before her brutal treatment in captivity. Now? And after her military experience? She’s very sure she could never be a wife. Not even of a smart and secure man like Robert Rosenthal. Men just expect certain things and dynamics from their wives and Ida has never been sure she had that in her. Now she’s positive. And she’s too proud to marry only to then “turn a blind eye” as he finds what she lacks in women elsewhere.
Rosie? His argument is that what they’ve already built these last months, it’s what he wants. Marrying her is to keep that. If that’s all they ever have that’s enough, he couldn’t stand to lose it.
A chaste honeymoon on the way to Nuremberg to go fuck up a bunch of Nazis for the second time in their young lives? You betcha.

**b4 demo spoilers** will we get any explanation as to A's sudden shift in attitude at the beginning of b4? like them being super casual and stuff. i know you said you didn't wanna make it too heavy for /reasons/ but i was just wondering it A themselves has a reason for this switchup between end of b3/start of b4. hope ur having a nice day !!
It was the ending of Book Three when A realised they love the MC.
And they already knew they loved the MC, but now they really, really know it, and they told the MC as much…well, they sort of admitted they feel something, or that they can't deny there is something—but that's what they meant, lol!
And that admission is hard to cram back down inside of them for the moment. They'll get there…but for now they can't help let those feelings stay.
Plus, I really wanted a break for the A-mancers and give them some of the nice romance too for now, especially considering what's coming in Book Five…
Hope that helps!
Thank you so much for the ask! :)

something something Rebecca closing the supernatural world over her own child and fighting as hard as she can to never let them be apart of that world. Choosing what stole Rook away from her over the child Rook gave her.
Rebecca!! Imagine how many arguments that Rebecca and Rook must have had and how many they would continue to have had Rook lived. Would they have brought their child into the supernatural world early? Waited until they were 12 or 13? 18 or 21?
They parallel the A and N argument in book one … A/Rebecca saying it’ll be safer to keep them safe and unaware, N/Rook saying that knowing will keep them safe (paraphrase, especially with A expecting to be in and out once they’d taken care of Murphy)
Rebecca has seen more, known more than Rook … but she also had the resources to keep her child safe. And, of course, her hesitance was compounded after he died. Couldn’t lose her husband and her child. Not on her watch (ironic, I know)
I wonder if they would have found out about the mutation sooner, had Rook lived. Even without nannies, someone would have realized that the detective was immune to pheromones. I think Rook would have investigated it rather than ignored it. They could have had at least a decade or two heads start on what’s going on, and maybe contained it better
As much as Rebecca went against Rook’s wishes, she could argue her position to keep that a secret. And one thing I think about a lot is that Rebecca thinks the detective is mad at her because she kept the world of the supernatural away from them — again, she is thinking of Rook and not her child, who is their own person
I certainly bet that if Rook knew what happened, he’d be far more upset about her being an emotionally absent mother rather than keeping the supernatural away from them. I think he could understand.
Thank you for the ask and your thoughts! Always love chatting about Rebecca
