The way the pair melted into the moment was the ultimate reassurance for Lucifer. All these years, he'd been so afraid of the 'What ifs' he'd posed in his head that he'd been too afraid to face what reality they could actually have until now, but thank Dad he was facing it now. Standing here with Chloe, the warm water washing over them, was reassurance enough. He signed with content into her kisses, her touch and words soothing him to his very core.

"Right. There were more pressing matters than the protein-rich meal I'd started. Even so, I'd like to believe it didn't go to waste." An air of jest weighed on every word that left his lips, signifying a calmer, more playful return to form. What could be mistaken for moodiness was really just Lucifer gaining his footing and self-assurance in a brand new situation for the person he cared for most, the person who made it all worth it. And that real kiss? The cherry on top.

The cocktail of playful passion tipped playful with a splash of realized severity, if one dared to be dramatic, when Chloe drew the comparison. "Right! Yes! I get it!" He held his hands up in resignation, a smirk on his face but a look of sincerity on in his eyes, always internalizing what he's told. "I saw my mother naked and I'm eternally traumatised. By all means, let's spare the urchin! Daniel, on the other hand..." a playful shrug to punctuate the sarcasm, but still, tinged with trademark Lucifer honesty. That wouldn't be as bad, right?

Through it all, Lucifer's intentions were simple: to prove to Chloe that this time was different, that she was the most important thing in his life and he wasn't going anywhere. Holding her like this was holding the most important thing in his life, sexual implications or not. Yes, the shower was tiny, but he didn't need an excess of space to prove his point, and so he would.

Chloe's divulging of herself, her reciprocation of vulnerability, only reaffirmed Lucifer's instincts and made him feel that much better about it all. Everything she said, he agreed with, and he was willing to work through anything with his human. "There won't ever come a day that I don't fear losing you, Detective, but I suppose that's exciting, isn't it?" Lucifer smirked, kissing Chloe's shoulder. "I'm here for the long haul, fights and all. I'm only ever honest, so believe me when I say that my days of running are behind me. Whatever that entails, even if I have to mature... I'm down."

Lucifer laughed smoothly, shaking his head as he held onto his human like the precious jewel she was. "Did you ever finish the breakfast I started for you?" He adjusted his hold as he went on. "I can't imagine a setting in which you wouldn't look perfect. The thrill of someone catching us is just icing on the cake of the perfect specimen in my hands right now. I don't give my father credit for much, but I give him his due for the time he spent on you. His finest work yet." Another kiss on the shoulder to punctuate his point.

I’m actually so done, i’m NEVER helping anyone with trig ever again. We had a test today, and Charlie did so horrible that even with my intensive overnight help (we studied until 2) he GOT A D. “Oh but cameron! It’s better than an F!” I DONT CARE.

depressed teenage boy gets expelled from a pennsylvania preparatory school for failing classes. instead of going straight home he wanders the streets of new york city late at night because he doesn’t want to tell his parents yet. He kinda spirals and ends up in a mental hospital in california, in which the story is told from the perspective of the therapist listening to the boy tell him about what happened.
