The way the kiss pulsated between the pair of them was unlike anything Lucifer had ever felt before, which was saying a lot since he'd been with so many women, men, and everyone in between. That was easy enough to explain though: Chloe was Lucifer's human. Never before had he cared so deeply for another anyone, let alone a mortal being. And yet, here he was, in bed with a human woman he'd never even had sex with, and yet she felt like his entire universe. That's because Chloe was more than just another human, but she was his human, and the Devil would do anything to be with her as much as possible, working, playing, or otherwise simply sharing one another's presence. And after the intense day they'd both been through, after all of these years working together, Lucifer craved more. His truest desire had long been to explore the connection he had with his human, but in the wake of the disaster that was his rekindling with Eve, the urge to pursue it was ever pertinent. He simply couldn't let this opportunity slip away this time. While it was probably not the best idea to jump into anything serious tonight, that wasn't Lucifer's intention. All he wanted was for his human to know how serious he was about whatever they had and that he wouldn't be running away this time. With the second kiss of the evening, Lucifer kept his hand on Chloe's face, leaning into her even more as their lips made magic, the explosions around them continuing as their connection solidified evermore from the uncertain strife of 24 hours ago to there's something here.

Lucifer had promised Chloe he wouldn't make any moves on her tonight, and he was always a man of his word as he'd given her the choice. That being said, he was extraordinarily happy when she decided to close the distance and lock lips with him. In fact, 'extraordinarily happy' would have to be the understatement of the millennia, as he felt literal fireworks as the pair made that intimate contact after all they'd been through. While he didn't want Chloe to think she was simply his rebound, he was confident enough in this moment, during this kiss, that she felt the electricity he did, and that it was enough to reassure her there was something here far more valuable than anything either of them could've comprehended even this morning. As she pulled back, so did he with a gentle smile, slowly raising his hand to her cheek once more. "Oh, Detective..." His eyes losing themselves in hers just as he'd done moments prior, always finding his way back to his human in any way possible, simply craving her more with every moment. "You're simply... breathtaking."

The implication that he could be more, that he had the potential to be someone more impressive, hit a nerve he had long since buried beneath a pompous attitude and sovereignty. He had always lived in the shadows of Odin and Thor's greatness, chosen not even second but as the very last option. Yet, standing before him was a woman who unwittingly chipped away at his carefully constructed walls, at the facade he had been taught to maintain to keep control — control of himself, Asgard, and their political alliances — and, for the first time, made him question the purpose. Perhaps Frigga had been correct all along: one day, he would find someone who looked to what Loki himself might provide as a person, not simply a Prince.

However, the irritation etched upon her typically softened features made him hesitate. Had he overstepped? Had he blown the opportunity before he had a chance to learn about the Princess of Vanaheim? With bated breath, he subtly searched her countenance, trying to decipher what emotions lay beneath.

As she slipped her hand from his, he felt a pang of disappointment, though he hid it well; he knew it had been improper, yet he couldn't stop himself. The trickster thought he had sensed a hint of reluctance from her, a sliver of tentative curiosity in his viridian eyes, uncertain whether it was toward his offer or removing herself from his touch. His pulse was still a bit elevated as he waited for her response, and when she agreed to allow him to accompany her with a soft smile, Loki felt a warmth begin to stir in his chest. His lips curved into a slightly relieved smile in return and he gave a slight inclination of his head in response to her thanks.

Moving alongside her with an air of poise and subtle intrigue, he spoke lowly and steadily. "You needn't thank me," the God began, adding a gentle admission, "I find solace in your well-being and I'm honored that you find security with my guidance." As they slipped out into the corridors, Loki took a leisurely pace beside her, his gaze occasionally shifting to her as they conversed. "Do you find your stay in Asgard comfortable? If there might be anything I can arrange to suit your needs better, please, simply ask."

Did he seem embarrassed to be called childish? Slightly she wanted to see if it would hurt his ego. His father and Thor seemed like that. Big childish boys who likes to play with big weapons. They did leave the impression of being dumb. She could feel that Loki could do better, he was just surrounded by bad rolemodels and maybe that’s why she was challenging him, to see if he could if someone gave him a chance. „I’m quite sure you have the potential to something more impressing“ she answered in a neutral tone to his words. The question was if he wanted to.

But why should he try to impress her? His ego seemed to be hurt, maybe just a little bit. She would lie if she wouldn’t say she enjoyed him feeling offended. A crack in his arrogant mischievous mask he was wearing.

There seemed a deeper crack, as she turned her way, hearing his soft tone. His ask almost seemed like a plead. Feeling his grab for her hand, she turned around with a irritated expression.

For a second it didn’t feel like a plan, a mischievous thought of him, a glimpse of true emotion on his face, his expressions touched her heart. For a moment she held her breath, not sure what to think.

How could a face so sharp look so soft? It could almost melt her hesitation for his intentions. „You…“ her eyes wandering to his hand, holding hers. So he indeed learned to be a gentleman. Softly she led her hand slip out of his, reluctantly. But it wasn’t proper to hold hands while he wasn’t courting her. She folded both her hands infront of her waist to kept them busy. And trying to ignore the tingling sensation from the touch of his hand. „You may accompany, your highness. Thank you for you being concerned about my safety“ somehow she got a grip on her mind again, painting a soft smile on her lips before she turned to the doors. „To be true, I feel secure with your guidance, every hallway looks the same, even Sir Theoric got lost yesterday“ she choose for a small talk.
