1830s Unmentionables Set
A recolor of @arethabee's Jasmine dress to add some early 19th-century long stays on top, as well as some accessory drawers to pair with the recolor. I made these a long time ago and will admit they're not my best work, but I think they could be useful for historical gameplay. And the mesh is so cute and fits so well it's worth it!
Both have a few swatches in relatively neutral tones + some basic colors + black. I've never seen any colorful or black stays from this time period, so the color choices are probably a bit historically inaccurate, but some variety can't hurt.
The hair in the above previews is by the amazing @the-melancholy-maiden and can be found here. I recommend combining it with this set to complete the ensemble.
This is a bit of a long post, so I'm putting the rest under the cut.
1830s Long Stays
Mesh is required
14 swatches
I say 1830s, but they could work for pretty much the first half of the 19th century, up until the early 1840s

1830s Accessory Drawers
These accessory drawers don't look very good on their own, I'll admit. They're definitely meant to be covered with a skirt of some kind.
The drawers are divided into four different files, which require some explanation. The drawers on the left are V1. They're compatible with most skirt lengths, but are a bit bulky and are at risk of clipping with whatever you put on top, specifically at the thighs and hips. The ones on the right are V2. They've been decapitated to minimize bulkiness, but of course they won't look good with skirts that are too short.
Both V1 and V2 are compatible with the stays in this set. And both V1 and V2 are found in two different categories: Leggings and Socks. Why put something like this in Socks? Well, simply because a lot of good CC stockings are in the Leggings category, including the ones seen in the previews. So there are four files: V1 Leggings, V1 Socks, V2 Leggings, and V2 Socks. Get them all or get just one - it's your choice. Hope this cleared things up.

Four versions, please read the description above!

Marya Narukhina 1826 Lookbook - holiday gift 2
I've got much more free time now that school is out for a few weeks, so here's another gift! This lookbook was inspired by those of @aheathen-conceivably. Yes, you've seen her before and you'll see her again - it's Marya!
(keep reading for rambling and cc links)
Marya is one of my oldest surviving sims. She was originally created as a background sim in a War and Peace save file. At that time, she was blonde and about 2 years old. Her parents, especially her father, are also among my favorite sims.
The best word for Marya's style would be "gloomy." She prefers darker colors, especially deep purples and blacks. Her fashion is influenced by the gothic styles that were popular in the late 1810s and early 1820s, when she was a teenager and young adult. Due to her status in society, she dresses stylishly, but still keeps her older dresses, as can be seen in her more old-fashioned dinner and summer outfits.
You'll notice that the silhouettes of her dresses are kind of inconsistent. The 1820s were a major transitional period in Western women's fashion, so there are big differences between, for example, the slightly older dinner dress and the modern evening dress.

"There is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humor." (A Christmas Carol – Charles Dickens, 1847)
surprise!!! here's some boys for y'all!
fashion just... didn't change as much or as drastically for men as it did for women. there's a few reasons for this, like the association of fashion with women, that fashion was one of few accepted ways of women's expression, that the way men were dressed was under less of a microscope... etc. etc. also, a lot of top hats were worn pretty much through the century, but i kept on forgetting them :(

Dolor compartido

I love everything you mention in this post, I totally agree with how creating a male sim is usually complicated. In addition to the mention that male townies are... strange in some way
Here is a small compilation of my male sims as they ✨deserve it✨
YOUR CC ARE AMAZING!!! finally a new active male sims lover!!!! love it
Hello! I'm back from my CC hiatus! I'll be releasing new items this week.
Also, thank you, I am indeed an active male sims lover. I love creating them, sharing them and seeing how people react to them in my stories.
But as we know, lots of people just straight up HATE male sims. Which just intrigues me.
I decided to explore the topic about their "ugliness" rather than the lack of hairstyles/clothes as that's been covered a lot; read more if you'd like to kill a few minutes reading yet another rant about Sims 4.
I think the main problem is not the lack of clothes or hairstyles; It's the faces.
I don't blame anyone but EA, as they missed the mark with their male sim faces and presets, as we all know. But I still decided to test this out myself.
''Could it be that bad?'' I told myself.
I went into story-creation to see what male sim the game would generate after answering the quiz....oh boy.
I generated a female sim with the same quiz method both times to compare.
I don't think the male sims are ugly, but they just looks villanous, pompous and unapproachable, it's such a weird artistic choice to make male sim presets be so unnecesarily rough looking. I don't want to get to know these two characters, I don't even want to see them, they look dead. The girls look charming.
It's kinda like EA's saying masculine features can't be youthful, average, goofy, soft, next-door or warm. They're not even masculine either, the facial presets are botched. There's no softness, but no sharpness either, they're shallow, dislodged (like their lips, chins and jaws) and worst of all; empty.
The Sims community is full of talented people who make gorgeous male sims, and creators who make it possible to create male sims that can fit into the game's style a lot more than whatever the game generates. But not everyone in the community knows how to handle the awful presets and sliders for masculine framed faces. And it can be pretty frustrating to work with such crunchy and difficult faces like...these two male generated sims.
So that's why It makes me happy that the effort I put into my male sims is something a lot of you guys love and support, and I'm happy I can offer simspo for y'all to explore male sims a bit more and make the game just a little bit more diverse.

Josefina - an American Girl
Gallery ID: HawkeyeTARDIS
*click option to include custom content to find the below families in the gallery*
Based on the characters from the American Girl books featuring Josefina Montoya. Josefina and her family represent Mexican culture in the southwest, when the territory was still under Mexican rule.
All custom content created by @peebsplays and @historicalfictionsims - thank you both so much for sharing your talent!
Josefina:
The Montoya family:
L to R: Clara, Tomas with Juan, Andres, Ana with Antonio, Francisca, and Josefina.
In order to create her entire family, Tia (aunt) Dolores Romero was created separately. Josefina’s mother passes away before the beginning of her series, and her sister Dolores comes to help the family, eventually marrying Andres.
I’ve also created Josefina’s friend, Mariana Duran, a Pueblo girl who lives with her grandparents.
Other characters from the series include Patrick O’Toole
And Roger Rexford (who eventually courts her sister Francisca)
Happy Simming!

Just after the start of the New Year, Buzz Grunt returned from his trip to Selvadorada, and as if out of nowhere, his daughter Jenny began to come down with a fever. After several days Buzz and Elisabeth’s eldest daughter was gone. Although many years earlier, they had lost Buzz’ son, Buck, nothing could have prepared them for the loss of their daughter. That night as Buzz held the twins, Layla and Missy, he thought back to when Jenny was just a baby in his arms and smiled. Only to have the wave of grief wash back over him as he tried to fall asleep.

A little (and Messy) Generational Chart I’m making to have a notion on what time period each sim on the Family trees lived. Still under construction.
By “generational” i mean that they were in the adult stage around the period the slot covers. This is divided in slots of 25 years.
Headcanons and notes under the cut.
Goth - Morgana and Timaeus are Siblings on here - Minerva is Morgana’s daughter from an Unkown father - At the same time Minerva is Victor and Samuel’s mother. - There’s a secondary Goth line that comes from Timaeus fucking around. - Lolita Goth comes from this line as is co-generational of Victor and Samuel - Rebecca Goth comes from this line too, she’s co-generational with Gunther and Frida. - Mathilde Goth is Bella’s (and possible Mortimer) daughter, currently unborn.
Crumplebottom
- If i had to add the Crumplebottom sisters from Moonlight Falls they would be Cornelia and Agnes’ cousins. - I have fucking NO IDEA how to organize this family outside these. - I saw that EA decided to bring a cousin “Agatha Crumplebottom” in their Cottagecore expansion... I’m not sure if i’ll add her.
“Cove”
- I’m using this a Jocasta’s Surname... I was tempted to put “Palpatine” - Persephone and Uriel are by @whattheskell - “Great Granny” Cassandra (also by Skell) is co-generational with Minerva Goth - I’m adding Tabitha and “Lily” from the Sims Socials as Jocasta’s sisters.
Capp
- Only the female line is mentioned - Cordelia is the oldest out of the three sisters. - Juliette is the current Heir Apparent, with Consort acting as “Regent” until she’s of age.
Thebe
- Kent is the current Heir Apparent - I placed Princess Cordelia Thebe (TS4) as Queen Thebe’s mother
Gale
-Tybalt is the Heir Apparent.
Norman
- Hal is the Heir Apparent.
Smith-Tricou
- The Downtown Teens are Descendants from Johnathan. - The Tricou Family died around “1910/5″ - Jannicor is the oldest sim on this timeline (for now); I give Faeries the equivalent of three Slots so their generational one is 75 years instead of 25 years so her Generational slot is 1820-1895, which also makes her born around in 1795/1770.
Landgraab
- The family is divided in two lines - Kermit* is the oldest so i’m assuming this is where the family line was divided. - Admiral Langraab is noted around 1895; The Simpedia mention he studied Nectar 60 years before the sims 3, by my timeline that would be 1970 - 60 = 1910. - Dudley, Mimi are half siblings with Adrien and Kids of Malcom - For the sake of fitting as many sims as i can in a simplified version, i’m combining Todd Landgraab (Midnight Hollow) and Johnny Zest as the same sim; Nancy’s brother.
Cordial
- I find it quite interesting that Artemis ended up Co-generational of Jocasta as they both have Greek names related to the moon. (Artemis is the Moon Goddess, Jocasta is “Moon Light”).

200 Followers Gift: 19th-century Men's Lookbook
Finally, here it is. A gift to you all for getting my follower count up to a whole 200. I know it's not a huge milestone, but I'm excited about it, and I'm glad so many other people are interested in the things I make. As of right now I have 212 followers, and there were only about 190 students at my elementary school. That's weird. That's a lot of people.
This is a more informal lookbook than my usual ones. I haven't really gone all in on the photo editing. It's more of a timeline of fashion than a true lookbook. Note that it's a mix of casual wear (1810, 1820, 1830, 1850), regular daywear (1800, 1860, 1870, 1880, 1890) and evening wear (1840).
1800s: hair / glasses (TSR) / suit / boots (Base Game)
1810s: hair / facial hair (Base Game) / vest / breeches / boots
1820s: hair / facial hair / vest / pants (Discover University) / boots
1830s: hair / facial hair (Base Game) / outfit / boots (Base Game)
1840s: hair / facial hair (Base Game) / suit / shoes
1850s: hair / facial hair / outfit / shoes (Base Game)
1860s: hat / hair / facial hair / suit / gloves (Base Game)
1870s: hat / hair / facial hair (Cottage Living) / jacket / pants (Sack Pants) / gloves (Base Game) / boots
1880s: hat / hair / facial hair (Horse Ranch) / suit / boots
1890s: hat / hair / facial hair (Cats & Dogs) / suit (Professor Plum) / shoes (Get Together)
huge thanks to all the cc creators included in this! you rock!

Marriage is not essential to the contentment, the dignity, or the happiness of women. (Hope Leslie: or, Early Times in the Massachusetts – Catharine Maria Sedgwick, 1827)
next decade in the 223 years series is the 1820s! if you can't tell, i struggled a bit with this decade, mostly because the 1820s was a very transitional decade. the large puff sleeves would continue through the 1830s, but waistlines slowly lowered (and got smaller), and skirts got larger. you also start to see some more elaborate updos and headpieces that are synonymous with the 1830s.

N/A: Vaya sorpresa xD
"Después de un largo día limpiando el suelo y las paredes, Domingo y Jaili se dieron cuenta que se hizo muy tarde. Decidieron quedarse porque hay mucha inseguridad por las noches, y Jaili vigila la puerta mientras su hijo duerme plácidamente"

Redwood Family Tree
I was asked the other day if there was a family tree with all the characters in the Pride Flag Legacy Challenge. I’ve always had mixes with dates and everything from the beginning, plus family relationships between them. This is why I decided to create the ultimate familair tree and show it with you <3
(Right click to open the image to zoom in)
The Redwood tree comes from the parents of the founder of the challenge: Rosemary Redwood and her husband Cristobal Clermont.
The sons of Cristobal and Rosemary did not adopt the paternal surname because the legacy of the challenge is Redwood.
From here they intertwine with the Cushing, Barrow and Boneville families, spanning approximately 50 years of family history.
