Roseanne: It's October so I'm already working my way through the Halloween eps, next month it'll be the usual rewatch of the Thanksgiving ones.

M*A*S*H: Destined to be a comfort show, as it's been a part of my life literally since I was born (in lieu of flowers, Dad picked up a M*A*S*H t-shirt as a gift for mom while she was recovering in hospital loooool)

Night Court: When I was little I was convinced that the show was shot in my city (Cincinnati), and refused to hear evidence to the contrary (I was equally upset when I found out that WKRP in Cincinnati was not really shot inside the Cincinnati Enquirer building)

The Monkees: It was running on Nickelodeon in the mid 80s, and it was must-see tv for my grandmother, so it was something we always watched when I came to live with her for awhile. (Grandpa and I watched Hee Haw together, just to hammer home my Hoosier upbringing XD)

Emmerdale: With Aaron returning, I've found myself rewatching the older storylines, and remembering what comfort the characters and the village have brought me over the past nearly 15 years. The show also brought me so many friends over the past decade, and that's a comfort all its own <3

Cherry Magic: It saved late 2020 and our first holiday season as a trio. Admittedly, it's been difficult on occasion to revisit due to the personal stuff, which is one of the reasons I'm so looking forward to the Thai adaptation. I'm in a much better place, and will be watching with different eyes!

2 Moons 2: I revisit whenever I need a dose of my favorite engineer (Pavel's coming back to us so soooooooon, Eboni!!!)

BTVS and Angel: I'll hop into episodes here and there when the mood strikes, always a nice bit of highschool nostalgia for me.

Despite having already done my 4 strength sessions this week, I had to move forward one for next week because I'm going to Munich for three days and otherwise I couldn't fit in my workouts.

For being a Sunday afternoon training session and after a family meal, I am proud of the work done. Today was upper body training (you know I hate it, but today's routine even more so).

Tell a story about your childhood.

I don't have many interesting stories that aren't related to my trauma and I try to repress those memories so sorry if this is a bit boring:

My grandad fought off a dog once. I was at my grandparents and they were looking after my aunts dog while she was at work, my grandad asked me if I wanted to come with him to walk the dog and, me loving my grandad (he was my best friend lol), I said yes and went with him. We walked for a while until we got to a field and a very aggressive dog came running straight at my aunts dog. My grandad got between the two dogs and literally kept the one attacking away by POINTING HIS CANE/WALKING STICK AT IT. THATS ALL HE HAD TO DO. He never hit the dog, he would absolutely never purposely hurt an animal. He did that until the owners came over who then proceeded to yell at us despite my aunts dog being on the lead still and the other dog being literally watched running towards us. I was terrified at the time and it lead me to be afraid of dogs for a few years (despite still absolutely loving them, I'm good now though) but looking back on it its one of my favourite memories of my grandad. (Other than the time he flagged my nan whenever her back was turned just for a laugh a few years before he passed, thats my favourite memory and I burst out laughing whenever I think of it. ^^ God I miss him.)

FTX's very bad november

here are some bullet points of the key things that happened to stupid 'it turns out it was never actually a business' 40 billion dollar cryptocurrency exchange FTX this month. very funny please read more!

FTX is the 'smart, legal, pro-regulation' bitcoin exchange (a bank) beloved by athletes and US Senators alike. They are one of the five largest businesses in the crypto space, and are valued at up to $32,000,000,0000 (32B USD). 1b. FTX mints its own token, 'FT Token / FTT', which has a use-case for their advanced trading services as well as serving as a speculative asset that represents consumer trust.

2. FTX establishes a sister firm, "Alameda Research", which acted as its own market actor and research publisher. Alameda Research also have massive resources on their balance sheet.

3. When the Terra / Luna stablecoin disastrously lost its peg to the dollar earlier this year, crypto lost $60B of valuation. Everything fell, but unlike some stuff, FTT recovered. 3b. during this crisis, Alameda stepped in as a 'lender of last resort'; bailing out the liquidity-crisis-shocked crypto businesses by selling them emergency loans.

4. On November 02 (two weeks ago!) Coindesk published an exposé showing that a lot of Alameda Research's balance sheet was, basically, IOU's from FTX - the lender of last resort was a shell game.

5. at this point (i'm hazy on details!) the three FTX founders - "the Crypto King" "SBF"; Gary; and Nishad - start fighting a lot on twitter about something offline, in particular with their competitors Binance, the #1 company in the crypto space.

6. Binance sells all the FTT in its vaults. Billions of dollars' worth?

7. The market value of an FTT drops from $24 USD to $3. (an 87.5% drop in value)

8. 36 hours later, seeing FTX about to declare bankruptcy, Binance offers to buy FTX in a bailout. Binance lawyers ask to see FTX's most secret internal accounting documents. 8b. FTX provides something, which Binance aren't happy with, and Binance backs out of their offer to buy FTX.

9. a "hacker" steals between $300M-$500M USD worth of various coins and tokens from not only FTX's 'hot wallet' (actual liquid funds) but ALSO from its 'cold wallets' (which an outside hacker has no access to). 9b. in transferring these funds out of FTX and into a wallet for Tether (a stablecoin), the "hacker" doesn't have enough "TRX" to pay the gas to actually move the money. so they panic and uses TRX from their own wallet.

10. That wallet was on the Kraken ecosystem, and TRX is for the Tron Network, and both Tron and Kraken have KYC ('know your customer') ID requirements to use their systems, linking the wallet used to facilitate the theft to a driver's license and banking and contact information etc. 10b. the head of security for Kraken posts on twitter "We know the identity of the user."

11. the Bahamaian police (they spent company money on a big poly mansion on the Bahamas and so this all happens there) detain the three FTX founders

FTX goes from being worth $30-40 billion USD to bankrupt, nothing, goose egg, kanye voice: couldn't give a homeless guy change, its principals arrested, detained by island police as foreign billionaires, investigated by the Bahamaian money laundering authorities (lmao), investigated by America for the Tether theft (lmfao)

Annoncé en 2020, le Hennessey Mammoth 1000 6×6 TRX est désormais officiellement entré en production. Le RAM TRX sous-jacent n'était déjà pas terrible avec un moteur 6.2 V8 Hellcat qui développait 712 ch. et 880 Nm. Mais là, grâce à un compresseur de 2,65 litres, des cigarettes à haute pression et une nouvelle prise, Hennessey a réussi à faire sortir 1 026 ch. et 1 310 Nm. Autant que Mammoth TRX 4×4, qui donne le 0-100 km/h en 3,2 secondes.

Motorisation

Le moteur du Hennessey Mammoth 1000 6x6 TRX est un V8 Hemi de 6,2 litres suralimenté qui a été optimisé par Hennessey. Il développe 1 026 chevaux et 1 314 lb-pi de couple, ce qui en fait le pick-up le plus puissant du monde. Hennessey a augmenté la cylindrée du moteur de 6,2 à 6,8 litres, a ajouté un compresseur plus grand et a modifié le système d'admission et d'échappement. Three Ships

Buck x Eddie (9-1-1) - They’ve had a grip on me since early 2020 when they showed up on my dash and have never let go since. I have no clue if they’ll ever go canon, but I’m going to root for them always.

Pacey x Joey (Dawson’s Creek) - I can’t call them my first ship, but it’s a close damn thing. I remember watching DC every week and just despising Dawson. I know it was technically his creek, but damn was he annoying, especially when he was with Joey. And then there was Pacey. Still one of my favorite television characters ever. They were so cute together and seasons 3 & 4 of the show were just excellent, mostly because of their chemistry and how many scenes they shared.

Bella x Jasper (Twilight) - Team Edward/Team Jacob, who? To be honest, I don’t really know where this one came from. I have just been in the mood recently to read some Bella x Jasper fic, and luckily there are some excellent ones out there. These moods have always ebbed and flowed, but this pairing always seems to come back every so often and they’ve got a grip on me right now. I’ve even started rewatching clips from the movies (??? what am I doing with my life???) and looking for fanvids on YouTube. I’ve always gone for the unexpected/rare pairings, I guess. Thank fuck for fanfic and fan created works.

Kimberly x Jason (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) - Does it make sense? Not so much. But I haven’t ever made sense, even as a child.
