The Patrick Star Show: Something Stupid This Way Comes - October 14th

Also the video game The Patrick Star Game comes out on October 4th and is probably the only thing good that comes out on that particular day <3

Other News: Spongebob season 14 is being cut in half. The 2nd half will now become season 15. There isn't a reason given why, but it is speculated that it is to fit a more streaming format. They are also doing this with the Patrick Star Show. What is season 3 of the Patrick Show is actually the second half of season 2.

But do not fear! Neither shows are canceled, new episodes are still in production but they will now become what is season 16 for SB and season 4 for the TPSS.

I have a feeling that they'll try to release the season DVDs for SB TPSS and KK all at once like they did last year.

tpss is so hard to explain to people who haven't seen it bc it's like yeah one of the most meaningful character arcs in the show is by this horrible woman and it has themes of family pressure, internal vs external factors, autonomy, and nature vs nurture. yeah her name is glorpa.

Why did it make me cry? The themes of sacrifice, legacy, and survival. As a Mexican American who has struggled with identity in environments where assimilation was a matter of physical, social, and financial safety, there is a lot of pain tied to my cultural heritage. And shame.

Why did it make me cry? Feist transported me back to childhood, with its wonder and terrors. The focus on feelings of powerlessness and loss of agency during the darker moments resonated and shook something loose.

Why did it make me cry? I came out to my deeply religious parents this year. It was not disastrous but I also feel like nothing has changed. I still feel separate from them and struggle to reconcile these two versions of myself. Will I ever be able to be just one person?
