182 Days of TPN - Day 116

Chapter 116: “Breaking into the Cage, Part 1”

Emma showing very little hesitation to volunteer herself to find and steal the medicine Chris needs. Hell, if y’all can escape from GF, then sneaking into a low-class mass production farm with light security should be no problem.

I enjoy this chapter for both our medics very much. On one hand we get Zack being the prime choice for the mission because of his proficiency with medicines and additional strength and on the other hand we also see Anna stepping up and finally proving to be of importance again after such a long time.

I love all the praise and respect that gets tossed Zack’s way but Anna definitely isn’t wrong though. Having him stay behind is a wise choice that’ll benefit the whole family that so I can’t even be mad. All the confidence she has in herself is wonderful too.

And the fact that he and Sandy both agree with her idea and even go as far to back her up by saying Anna is indeed the best option, given how much she studied over the past year and a half. Hearing how Lucas was impressed by how quickly she picked up on everything is so sweet and I wish we got to see more of these kids learning from him.

The best mantra to use whenever watching episodes 15-23. (yes i believe the first two of s2 are fine. first one is a bit rushed sure, but the second is near perfect. all downhill from there though.)

Poor Anna wanted to help out so badly yet she’s the first one the demons spot which ultimately sets off all the alarms. Thankfully we got Emma and Ray to assist, with the latter coming in to kill the enemy on sight and lead the rest of them away from the girls & Hayato.

Favorite panel/moment:

Like father like son, Ray’s now entering his protective father arc, whether he likes it or not.

Rare extra page mention because ponytail Anna is absolutely pretty and deserves more love. The boys can deny Hayato’s assumptions all they want but the dude is so right.

Gilda & Ray dynamic is so underexplored it's tragic (not that Don & Ray isn't either when looking at the entire fandom as a whole but yk, I can find more art focusing on them. Largely thanks to your efforts but still lkdfjksl).

Hi people

Consider this post me checking the waters/interest for this, but basically: for a while now I've been wanting to compose a fanmade soundtrack for TPN, but I was waiting to see what S2 would cover (lol) so I could avoid doing something that was already made professionally. So good news, kinda, because volume 14 technically didn't get animated, and it's exactly the volume I wanted to compose for!

Anyways, below is "Anna," the first track of hopefully 11, covering the first few pages of chapter 116. That's when Anna was finally really introduced in all her Anna glory and got all the recognition she deserved; she shined through when everything just seemed to get worse, and if it wasn't for her hard work in that year and a half Christie most likely wouldn't have survived!! Like come on, she deserves her own little hero tune!

With that in mind, the track is just overall playful and light (allegro, if you will), and it's in A because I'm hilarious. Welp, jokes aside, it's specifically A Major because Anna is just such a beacon of light; she's always positive and does her best to protect her family. A Major is positive, youthful, and happy, just like Anna! It's like, "Look guys, Anna is here, everything will be okay!!!"

I'm actually really nervous about posting this lol!!!!!! I hope it's alright. If you have any thoughts please let me know, and if anyone knows a good DAW that doesn't make violins sound like they're screaming I'm pretty much all ears too!!

(And Norman just... Didn't come back??? I thought he would've been like "Surprise bitches, I'm alive!" But no??? I'm still not convinced he's dead tho, that's just what they want us to believe)

i mean ksksjsksjs season two episodes are coming out right now (i don't know where you can watch it ksksks but i have a friend that knows if you're interested and doesn't feel like waiting until it is avaible on Netflix)
