Qibli gets his mitts on a toothbrush. Atrocities ensue.

This one took me a lot longer than I anticipated. With a one day turnaround per picture I may have to think about scope.

I was forced to eat dinner with my toothbrush instead of a spoon.

It still had a faint minty taste to it.

November 1st is National Brush Day! This day is observed annually on the day after Halloween to promote oral hygiene and good teeth brushing habits.

For today, Jared letterpress printed a hand carved woodcut, made about 130 years ago, from the Lewis Winter Collection of something that was hard to find in Sacramento in the 1850s. Bathhouses, like the Eureka Baths on Second Street between I and J Streets, in the 1850s changed the bath water after every 10 bathers and had communal toothbrush available for its customers. The text below the print of a toothbrush states, “Brush Your Teeth!” and was typeset in 30 point Caslon font. This was printed with black rubber base ink using our Washington hand press, which was made in 1852.

Blake: (yawning as she enters the bathroom) Good morning.

Weiss: (fixing her makeup) Good morning.

Ruby: (finger combing her hair) Morning, Blake!

Yang: (brushing her teeth) Morming, babe...

Toothbrush: Brrrrrrrrrrr!

RWBY: (continue their morning routine)

Yang: (finishes brushing her teeth and places her toothbrush back in the holder)

Weiss: (glances at the toothbrush holder and her eyes widen) Yang?

Yang: Yeah, Weiss?

Weiss: Your toothbrush isn't electric?

Yang: Hm? (Glances at her totally normal, yellow toothbrush) Oh! No. Just a regular one.

Weiss: Then how?

Yang: (holds up robotic hand and turns on vibrations) *Brrrrrrrrrr!* Vibration function helps me get my teeth squeaky clean. Does wonders to combat the sand that gets stuck in my teeth. I'm gonna go get dressed now. (Leaves the bathroom)

Weiss & Blake: (jaws drop and blushes)

Ruby: (while brushing her own teeth) Wucky! I bish I had dat!
