Matthias was by a mirror, and his reflection was at an angle to me. As I watched, his face transformed. For a second I thought the emotion was grief; but the thing about genuine grief is that is can look an awful lot like fear. Matthias was afraid. Glassy-eyed, pale-skinned, lip-trembling afraid.

Zesha looked up from where he was on the ground, gazing up at the new foe up ahead. Blood Creatures surrounded the hooded figure in front of him, more than ten from a quick count, but there was something very off about his person, other than the obvious Blood Warrior’s mark on their hand.

The hooded figure did not take off their hood yet, but the voice that came from it sounded…whispery, yet oddly clear. A deep chuckle escaped them, before they spoke, facing Zesha and Zepha completely.

“I’ve been expecting you.”

Today’s Moodboard Monday features one of my OC (original characters), Nox, from my The Last Story fanfic “Blood Warrior!” 

Chapter 18 of the fic (the upcoming chapter of this fic at the time of posting this moodboard) will feature Nox’s first in-person appearance, so I thought it was fitting to have a moodboard centered on them.
