Btw it does not matter if your star wont hurt a fly. Their extreme paranoia says: Star = destroyer of Worlds = will eliminate kingdom, must stop it (or panik before)

They have came a long way from...well whatever the fuck I was doing back in the begining where I was just sharing ideas and brainstorming early on-

What is also pretty funny for comparison is that draft Magnus was pretty similar to WoaS Magnifico as Draft WoaS Magnifico was pretty close to Magnus now. How is that even possible? I will never know-

Now for Agatha, I can pretty much say not much has changed, other than depth to the character, and putting more thought into how I want to present her. However I'd say draft Agatha's design was horse crap. Its so bad like what the hell is this outfit? OUTRAGEOUS

That's why her redesign is better. She is a slaying queen ✨(in both ways of the term)

However I MIGHT have to update her outfit since I her to be able to access her potions more easily instead of it being on a belt, so Im deciding between a cape that holds her potions or another part of her dress that stores them. Im not doing it now, since I still like the outfit and I like drawing her in it, but I might have to for functionality lol.

As Magnus design...look I'm not sure how I want to design it, other than it being very similar to this concept art:

Well then lets drop some random facts about them with no context whatsoever:

Magnus still has self taught himself Magic.

Agatha has self taught herself Alchemy (which is just...imagine evil scientist in the basement conducting devilish experiments lmao).

Magnus is fairly good with swords, but excells with spears (since his staff somewhat opperates like one I'd imagine).

Agatha was a great Archer (empathize on was.)

There are reasons for why Magnus/Agatha are assigned to these weapons, since it ties into their character.

Magnus/Agatha are secret nerds.../hj

Mention History/Herbology to them, they will yap to you for hours.

You mentioned that there were fairies in your rewrite. I don't know if you have shown it already or talked about this, but what do the fairies look like?

OMG YESS I CAN FINALLY TALK ABOUT THEM

(prepare for a longgg worldbuilding yapping session)

Well for starters, they do not look like the fairies in the TinkerBell series, as much as I love the series in general (the one with the pirate was my favorite one)

More so they look like the pixies from Harry Potter, mixed in with some elemental feel and "wtf is in my garbage" type of thing.

Something to note is that these guys look the way they are because from where they come from is somewhat unnatural (giant bug ahh eyes). Also I have to say this is a very old version I did of the fairies back when I was beginning my world building for the au. So this is somewhat inaccurate but also isn't? I might have to design a actual sheet sooner or later since they would probably appear often.

(Plus is was back when I was reworking the backstory of Magnus and Agatha lmao)

They're born from the left over star dust that "falling stars" occasionally drop when they pass through earth combined with a child's first laughter (as in the original series of Tinkerbell but I'm not entirely sure if that part will be kept in).

Because Fallen Star's true forms are more so "eldritch", I felt like it makes more sense if fairies that are pretty much a close descendant of them to exhibit weird and unnatural features. What makes it even funnier is that their life goal is to prank anyone until their light gives out.

Although they are a nuance to society, aka pranking you by making your crops to eat each other, harass you for a hour, locking doors, pulling your hair, stealing your things (especially shiny things), they are quite beneficial.

For starters, they can be harvested of their stardust (which kills them, but also squishing them like a bug also works too) to make certain potions or elixirs (depending on how many you harvested). This is quite important in the medical field for healing potions can heal internalized wounds that magic cannot reach (magic healing can only heal external wounds not internal ones). Not only that, anywhere they live, life around them often flourishes no matter how much destruction they would like to cause (since as they fly they just drop some star dust on the way. Like .0000001 milliliter of star dust lol...probably sigh)

Something that is more so dangerous about them is a whole group of them. If you wander to long in a forest and fall into a Fairy Coven, good luck surviving. Its practically like the Saw series for anyone who dares/accidently enters one.

Information on these creatures to anyone in my au is pretty well documented due to how many there is, especially how to deal with them, like placing Fairy trappers near your crops since they somewhat act like fly trappers, but for fairies for example. Plus where fairy covens are and how to avoid them. There isn't much information though on the fairy covens since so few actually do survive them. Agatha often has Asha, as apart of the apprentice ship, has Asha having to wander into the nearby forest (or maybe it is a garden idk yet) to either grab fairies or other potion related ingredients for restocking purposes, so she would often run into them...which is a annoying thing to encounter.

(Which is why she keeps ALL JEWELRY FOR ONLY WHEN SHE IS INSIDE, SHE AINT LETTING THEM TRY TO RIP THEM OFF WHEN DOING APPRENTICE DUTIES)

Also for more reference for how they act, take Tinkerbell when she is angry, but up it to 11, on steroids, and make her high. Then you get whatever is going on with the fairies here.

Although for appearance and how they are born is something I'm not entirely sure on, I am most defiantly set on how they work within the world they are set in and the purpose they serve for other people, for better or for worse.

Fairies are a thing, Dragons are a thing, sirens are a thing. Like those are the main 3 that will stay cannon (just that population wise, Fairies are more higher as dragons and sirens are fairly uncommon which btw fairies do tend to avoid them unless they have something they want. Fairies also avoid Rosas since Agatha uses them for potion making quite often soo better not stay where you can be killed yk?)

1. How did you pick TKORAT as its name?

There really isnt much behind it. I was just thinking about the rose isignia and how normally there are thorns on roses. Also since I was thinking of the term like how a rose seems beautiful on the outside, but are nasty (aka the thorns).

HOWEVER, there was another term that I have recently heard that fits pretty well. Where very pleasant thing, event, or situation can have a bad or unpleasant side.

Though I was also not thinking of the meaning very much at the time, and I thought Rosas....Roses....Roses has Thorns- AH-HA I got it! The Kingdom of Roses and Thorns. 👹

2. What inspired Bonzai?

Numero Uno: Opossums needs more representation. Plus its a character that feels unlikely for a princess to have (besides Cinderella bc yk the mice hehe)

Numero Dos: ...I didn't like Valentino in the movie lowkey...and I like goats however cannon Valentino is not the exception.

Also because they're a bit more easy to draw. However, I was between:

Ferrat, Great Eared Nightjar, and a normal house cat.

But the opossum just stook out to me sooo yeah :3

For color pallet though, it was on a image of a opossum I saw a while back and it really felt Asha coded lmao

3. How has Asha changed throughout your rewrite?

I feel like she hasn't changed much, however her situation definitely has-

PLUSSS she has another added thing that I personally added that does reflect off one of the main villains. (Then again it was my intention for the heroes to somewhat reflect the villains, not a lot but enough for people to see :3)

And I then remembered that I DIDN'T come up with funny shinanigans with Asha as a apprentice! And that itself is a sin done by me..BECAUSE IT IS SO FUNNY-

Like imagine restocking potions and then you go to see the king, then you see this Man on the floor:

How the royal couple literally not snapping until a star to reappear is insane (though ik why it happened much later to that moment)

4. Favorite character to write/draw?

Okay....its Magnus and Agatha-

I hate to admit it but I really enjoy writing/drawing their dynamic. And it is so much fun to see the irony in their characters. Cause believe it or not, they started off-

I still find enjoyment in Star's relationship with Asha, even if I kinda alr had figured it out :3

However where I am at with his character is quite dependant on how the Fallen Stars work in my AU. So when I figure out that aspect, he might change slightly.

ONe thing that did change was how the stars functioned. And they are still a mix bag of emotions.

On one hand they are nomadic...I think?

On the other hand...they're assholes.
