✨️Three friends in the Hamlet ✨️

Meet these three: Aleana ( @starss-artss ), Jonathan (me) and Illian ( @your-ne1ghbor ), three teens that live in the WoaS!Hamlet.

They are kinda a refrence to those three girls in "Beauty and the Beast" who keep obsessing over Gaston. But in this case it's the opposite: Instead of being fans of the antagonist, these three hate him lol.

Aleana is the artist of the group, Jonathan is the groups book-worm and Illian is the healer in the group.

The three are also well known trouble-makers and pretty chaotic. Known around the Hamlet as the "Wish Gremlins", the three often make fun of Marc behind his back and are sometimes trying to sneak into the castle to get their wishes back lol (which gives Rosaline a few extra grey hairs sometimes). But luckily for them, Jonathan knows his way around the castle a little.

The thing is, Jonathan has a little backstory that is plot relevant: He was an apprentice to the Royals.

He was an apprentice to Magnifico, but got kicked out after a month or so. Now he lives in the Hamlet but he does not miss the times where he worked for the king.

There's also not really much to miss, since the tasks were mainly just fetching stuff, preparing stuff, helping prepare stuff and also boosting the king's ego. Jonathan also didn't really get to learn anything.

All those tasks are not the hardest or most exhausting things that a apprentice in the wish-verse has/had to do, but Jonathan was always very exhausted from this lol.

He and his friends will appear in the plot sometimes doing their own shenanigans, so look out for those fun bits!✨️

The people have spoken (aka, one person) and yes, I gave Marc more ✨️✨️✨️sparkles✨️✨️✨️

His main outfit did not need any touch-ups in my oppinion, that's already sparkling like a disco ball lol. But I did add a few things to his hair and face as you can tell.

In his hair are now alot of gems, crystals and other shiny objects. Now his hair is also as equally shiny as his outfit lol. Marc-nifico also now has on some very "subtle" eye-shadow and eye-liner. This is a refrence to Jafar who also wore this kind of makeup lol.

And seeing as heigh heels and makeup were worn by men too back then, this makes WoaS!Mag the manliest of them all by historic standards lol. (Atleast visually. He's a lot of things but not manly lol)

And, since Nova was mentioned already, I can share her new act 1 outfit!

A small upgrade to the first version, but still as extra as always lol. She had to get an Outfit upgrade because she and Marc are rivals when it comes to fashion lol. (That's actually why he stole her idea of putting accesories in your hair. Of course, he'll never admit to it.)

1. As far as I know comments aren't disabled, but I'll check.

2. Currently I do not have such scenes planned, but I might mention them or show them in flashbacks.

3. I actually already did Asha and Orion once.

This was for a gender-swap AU idea and it's from this where the idea for Nico came from! I might make designs for other characters too eventually.

4. Not to sound rude, but my rewrite is called "Wishing on a Star" lol. And you probably mean "act 2". While I do keep talking about acts 1 and 2, I don't mean that I'm planning to split WoaS into multiple parts. "Acts" can also be different parts of the same story.

Now to answer your question: Once I get to act 2 in my story, I'll release just as much as I did for act 1. Right now I can only give hints and little teasers for act 2 because otherwise I'd spoil my rewrite for everyone.

✨️Some WoaS!Character sketches/Outfit sketches✨️

Finally had the time and motivation to draw/sketch some new outfits for my characters lol✨️ (Some of these are not the final product though, just saying that. And I apologize for the bad lighting.)

Here are a few sketches for Nyx and (mostly) Nova:

I really wanted to go for the extra look for both of them, especially Nova. In the relationship of the two, she is the more extra and vain one. But unlike Marc-nifico with his wife, she actually cares about her partner.

I really wanted to make Nova's act 2 look more extra than before, because she and Magnifico are kinda fighting for the "most extra of them all" title lol. These sketches you see definetly are helping me getting in the right direction and I think I'm almost there lol. The last drawing of Nova at the bottom might get used for act 2, but we'll see.

Here are drawings of two characters. One you know already and have seen the older/current version of, the other was just mentioned before in text.

On the left is young Rosaline, on the right is her husband Gale (who's design will probably change, maybe only the hair?). Both are in their pre-war look, their ages are 22 (Rosaline) and 21(Gale). Rosaline would give birth to her daughter one year later when she was 23. One month after her daughter was born, the war started. And as you know already, Rosaline was the only survivor of her family.

You can tell very clearly that the years have really been rough on her after the war.

I imagine her younger self also in red and pink colors like her current version, but more vibrant.

These are some of his casual outfits that he wears at home. But if he does not find anything to wear for the public (which is very rare,) he'll wear one of those. Of course all outfits come with gloves naturally, but they aren't as fancy as those on his main outfit.

All of those 3 outfits will appear in WoaS, so one day you'll see them in the usual WoaS!Royals color lol✨️

Magnifico and Amaya are getting different names. It was something I wanted to do for a while now, and I finally found good names for them.

Amaya will now be called Amelia.

And Magnifico? Well you see, that's a pretty hard question to answer because that name is just too perfect for him. But then I had an idea:

What if his name never actually was Magnifico, and he just called himself that after he became king? It's very in-character for him lol.

WoaS!Magnifico's real name is: Marc.

Not to be confused with Mark his clone.

Me when I saw Malverions design:

Imagine putting so much effort into a background character that's been dead for centuries lmao

Well anyway, this is Malverion :3

Now, you might have noticed that he doesn't have a face, well he does of course, but we are not meant to see it. He is a faceless character, so if I ever draw him normally, his face will be covered by shadows or I will draw him from behind.

The book he's holding belongs to him. It's his diary but it's also full of spells he came up with. Malverion liked to experiment and mess around with magic, and one day, he somehow got his hands on wishing star magic.

The wishing stars caught wind of this (mostly because Malverion wasn't exactly being secretive about it), and had to deal with it, including Malverion. He became the first and only person who got killed by wishing stars.

Hope you guys like Malverion!

Btw, I'm getting really close to start writing my Wish rewrite! I've been getting sooo many ideas for scenes and they all finally start to connect with each other✨✨

✨️WoaS!Mag and the Magnifi-clones✨️

Today I wanted to talk a little about the clones that WoaS!Mag can make of himself lol. Because what's better then one WoaS!Mag? Multiple of course.

If you remember from a previous post of mine, I did talk about them a little lol.

But I thought, why not talk a little bit more about them?

Here is the design of a Magnifi-clone:

As you can tell, they're dresses much simpler now than the original. Why do they not look exactly like him? Because not even a copy of himself is allowed to out-shine his glorious looks (and because I would pass away from drawing his main outfit over and over and over again lol. So yeah, that pencil drawing is abit outdated lol). The clone does not wear any accesories and much smaller high heels, because nobody, not even WoaS!Mag himself can be taller than him.

The clone outfit also includes small details from previous outfits which you might remember seeing before (depending on what time you discovered my rewrite) lol.

(It's so funny that you can tell by the outfits how big his ego has gotten depending on the outfits lmao.)

Another difference (and a sign to tell a clone apart from the real person) is a small detail about the eyes.

On the left, you can see that the eye has two white circles. But the tiny circle in the eye of a clone is not filled out, it's just an outline.

Magic in my rewrite is kind of like A.I., it can generate and create things, but they aren't perfect. But the more powerful magic you have, the more perfect the magic generated stuff is. WoaS!Mag can clone himself as much as he wants (but of course has to pay for it in some way for it, because magic gives to you and takes from you), but after three days the clone dissapear. During the passing of those 3 days, they start to look more weird. Details start melting together, extra limbs or fingers grow, or flaws that were small at the beginning spread on the clone.

These small details can be a slightly different eye- and hair color, a different nose shape and, worst of all: A difference in height.

There is one clone that WoaS!Mag does not like because it is one centimeter taller than him.

While all the other clones are named Magnifico 2, Magnifico 3, Magnifico 4, (and so on so forth,) this clone is named Mark. Mark is disliked by WoaS!Mag because Mark is a little bit taller than him when both aren't wearing their high heels. Because of that, Magnifico is always the rudest to Mark, who dosen't even realize that he's being bullied.

You see, the clones aren't really aware of what's going on around them. Their only thoughts are "Listen to and obey our boss" and "Boost his ego, he's the best and we love him!" And that's all they can think and all they know. That is why he loves his clones (except Mark) very much. Maybe he loves his clones a little too much, but you know him and his ego by now lol. The idea for the clones came from that one scene in "This is the thanks I get" where Canon!Mag talks to his reflections who compliment him. (Also, for anyone wondering, yes my Magnifico will sing that song lol.)

Now for a last fun thing:

I also found an audio that made me think of him with his clones, so I had to make a video of that:

1. Can't say, that's a spoiler. But all I can say that it's not how it is in the movie lol.

I have a question: Wouldn't you include the 100-year-old character (i.e., Sabino) and there's no character who could replace him?

Well, there's a character that kinda (?) takes his role in a way. It's the previous King of Rosas, Rosio. While he is not related to Asha or Nico or has ever met them, in flashbacks later on you'll see how he kind of takes that role.

As for the 100 years thing, Rosio lived to the age 70, but the kingdom of Rosas will turn 100 during the current events of the story.

✨️The People of the Hamlet/ The People of Rosas✨️

Today I present to you a post about the outfits of the WoaS!Hamlet/ "The Village for Outcasts" and Rosas!

Color plays an important role when talking about these two different places:

As you can see, the people of the Hamlet have alot of more color variety than the people in Rosas, who are limited to light blues, sparkly blue, silver and white (the same colors that the Royals wear.) The two shades of purple are from Amaya's necklace and her cat Morado's collar.

As you probably have noticed, there's none or barely any purple in the Hamlet's color palette. That is because purple is an extremly hard color to get and because the Royals are rich, they of course can afford it. Purple and black will also be the main colors of my Royals in Act 2.

(Here is an older versions of their act 2 outfits. It is very outdated, but I wanted to show you something related to their act 2 outfits lol. You can tell this is old because WoaS!Mag is not wearing 20 inch high heels or is short lol)

In the Hamlet, everyone can wear the colors that they like. On their clothes you can see stars on them because the people of the Hamlet believe that the stars aren't evil. Some people even wear star jewlery that they have made themselfs from crystals they find, because the people live in an giant gem cave.

Yes, in this version the Hamlet is underground and built in an giant abandoned mine. It is from this mine where WoaS!Mag got his jewlery from but he abandoned it and the other crystals when his workers couldn't find any more of his favourite light blue crystals.

But even if the people of the Hamlet have more creative liberty with their fashion choices, their clothes aren't always in the best condition though. Often you'll find rips and patches on the clothes. (And because the outfits of the WoaS!7 teens don't include these details, expect an update on their outfits soon.)

Examples for this are the clothes of Rosaline (leader of the Hamlet), who actually was the very first person to be cast out.

And then the more recent example of three side-characters from the Hamlet: Florence, Fidia and Marcus, three siblings.

(Fidia is blind on one eye.)

Also, the three siblings are a refrence to the three fairies in Sleeping Beauty: Flora, Fauna and Merryweather. You can tell because of the colors of their clothes: red, green and blue and because the names start with the same letter/letters.

Florence= Flora

Fidia= Fauna

Marcus= Merryweather

Marcus' cape, as you might've noticed, looks like Orion's cape but abit more damaged. That is because some people wear capes that look like those of the stars as another way to show that they want to be friends with the stars.

The people in Rosas meanwhile do not have such outfit problems. This is what everyone has to wear (no matter if child or grown-up).

As you can see, the women (outfit on the right) have to wear gloves because of the "no showing fingers, shoulders, ankles" rule. And, if you didn't notice, the Outfit for the men are inspired by this lol:

Yes, WoaS!Mag makes all the men and boys dress somewhat like himself. Because of course he does.

The outfits in Rosas also do not have any stars on them. That is not only because they do not trust them, but also because the star shape has a different meaning in Rosas. You see, the wishes in WoaS are trapped in star-shaped crystals instead of round orbs. That's why the WoaS!Royals, especially Magnifico, have so many on their outfit. Those stars represent the wishes.

If any character of the Hamlet wears something star-related it represents the actual wishing star. If the star on a character's clothing is light blue, it usually stands for the wishes. But if it's yellow/orange, it stands for the wishing stars.

Yes, I have heard of that.

And don't worry, I'm not traumatized lol.

Funnily enough, in the way way way way way way waayyyyyyyyyyyyy earlier days of WoaS, when I had just begun gathering ideas, I did play with the idea of using this scrapped idea. But because of personal experiences, I didn't go trough with it.
